ALTA Kingly Court

Alta was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was vibrant, thoughtful, and full of flavour, but the real highlights for me were the crab rice and the sardine empanada. The crab rice was deeply comforting and packed with flavour, while the sardine empanada was perfectly balanced, crisp, rich, and incredibly satisfying. What really elevated the evening was the service, which was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It made the whole experience feel relaxed and special. I’ll definitely be coming back again.

ALTA was absolutely exceptional. The food was incredible, beautifully presented, full of flavour, and genuinely memorable from start to finish. Chris and Stallion made the experience even more special. Their service was warm, attentive, and effortlessly professional, they truly went above and beyond. I can’t recommend ALTA enough and will definitely be coming back.

ALTA is just stunning all round. Firstly the space is wonderful. High end but warm and welcoming, beautifully done by whichever design genius they've enlisted to create it. The open kitchen and generous space afforded to each table makes it a beautiful antidote to the trend of packing in the covers elsewhere around the city. Then the food - all Spanish-inspired small plates, best shared. Everything was fantastic, but there were some standout hits. Do not miss the sea bass crudo. If mackerel is on the menu, don't hesitate. And finally the Txistorra (Basque Sausage) is an essential order. Brilliant and elevated addition to Kingly Court.

Fantastic meal @alta.london off #carnabystreet Live fire restaurant with open kitchen inspired by Northern Spain. We were impressed by every dish that was put in front of us; from the bread and butter to the 35 day aged sirloin to the cocktails. Each dish delivered an unexpected twist leaving you pleasantly surprised. Surprisingly, I find myself still thinking about the potato side dish with an incredible herb butter! It was also the first time I’d tried a warm cocktail (the Café Carajillo with Bananas, Honey, Coffee, Cream) and it was delicious! My friend was amazed by how quiet the open kitchen was. Service was almost perfect (for me); not constantly being interrupted checking if we liked or meal, dishes described with just the right amount of detail that I didn’t get bored, very polite and friendly staff. We came for lunch and really enjoyed the atmosphere especially with it's light filled space and open kitchen. We really couldn't fault the food, every dish hit the spot and the service was excellent. Between the two of us, we shared the razor clams (so delicate and fresh), pork trotters (this surprised me in a good way and was delicious with the bread and butter), courgette and pumpkin (the romesco sauce was unreal), squid vizcaina (really good), pork chop (perfectly cooked) with potato and leeks as the sides (accompanied the pork well) and the basque cheesecake (soft and great flavour and a nice way to end the meal). The service was helpful, friendly and interactive.

Gave three stars as the food itself didn’t wow me. It was expected to have more flavour and taste, especially given the price of the dishes. The ambience was amazing though. Beautifully decorated and felt cozy.

I love discovering this kind of new place that when you leave the place you like “wow”. The staff were so kind and welcoming, they guide us super well with the menu. It’s a sharing concept, but the portion remain nice. Big shout out for the sardines empanada and the crab rice. So tasty and modern. The decor as well is refined. They have two floors but I love being in the counter to watch the chefs cooking, and I wasn’t disappointed. you can tell you enter in a modern Spanish restaurant. Highly recommend !!

Fabulous food prepared by some fantastically talented chefs, totally amazing front of house staff who are very knowledgeable about the food on offer. The drinks were great as well. Highly recommend the oysters, the seabass, the venison and the chocolate ice cream and smoked meringue. Thanks to the whole team for an amazing experience.
