"This is a Korean-Chinese restaurant that uses all plant-based ingredients including plant-based alternative meats. That’s right. It’s a vegan Chinese restaurant. Chinese food made without any meat piqued my curiosity. They create incredible flavors that are sure to entice even diners who aren’t familiar with vegan food. The food is also low-fat so it’s easy on the stomach. They serve vegan jjamppong and fried dishes like tangsuyuk and yurinyuk that are so delightfully bouncy and chewy that no one will notice that they aren’t made from real meat. It is both a great vegan and a great Chinese restaurant." - Michelin Inspector

This place was high on my must try list and didn’t disappoint! The kitchen emits lovely Chinese spice scents in its enticing aroma! You can see in the kitchen and it gives off the vibe similar to Taiwanese eateries. Staff was so friendly and helpful. They will definitely help you decide if you are not sure what to order. We had the hot and sour VEEF, mushroom soup, fried eggplant and fried dumplings. The VEEF was super light and cooked with plenty of yummy herbs and spices. You can taste the flame in this dish. The eggplant was soft and succulent. The mushroom soup was clean and soothing and the dumplings were crispy and satisfying. I think the VEEF really came to live with dunked in the eggplant sauce. E testing was very yummy and the restaurant is very pleasant and in a cool neighborhood. Definition don’t skip this place if you’re in Itawaon !

Really good Asian vegan food, definitely recommend the mapo tofu and the truffle jajjangmyun. Loved having typical Korean dishes but in vegan!

I wish I had something more elequent to say but I'm so contently full of amazing food that all I can manage is "One of the best meals of my entire life!" And no, that isn't an over statement, this place is simply that good. The staff are friendly, the food came out incredibly quick, and we couldn't pick a favourite dish as every single bite was as good as the last. This place needs at least one Michelin star if not 2. As soon as we finished our meal we booked for the very next service night they had following the holiday. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for the experience! Gamsahamnida!!!

The staff are extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food is incredibly delicious - I ordered tofu skin salad for the appetizer and spicy eggplant for the main course and they were just the right amount of spice that did not overwhelm their incredible flavor. I am in Seoul for a week and will likely visit this restaurant each night

The food was very good and refined. One slightly inconvenient aspect is the ordering system: you have to order at the counter, then go back again for drinks, and if you want a glass of wine, you have to get up and order once more. In the end, you spend quite a bit of time standing up, ordering, paying, and waiting to be served. That said, it’s more of a minor inconvenience than a real issue. The open kitchen is a real plus, as you can watch the chefs prepare the dishes right in front of you, which is very enjoyable. The staff seemed a bit rushed, probably because it was the end of the day. We had an 8 p.m. reservation, and we could feel the fatigue setting in — things were being cleaned up around us, and we were the last customers, which made us feel slightly pressured to eat and leave quickly. Despite this, we still had an excellent time, and everything we ate was delicious.

Agree with the many other reviews that the food here is truly exceptional! The restaurant is deserving of its Michelin recognition. I got the Veep Japchae, and it was honestly one of the best vegan meals I’ve had here in Seoul. The sauce was so delicious, I wanted to lick the plate. 😋 I’ve tried a lot of the vegan restaurants in Seoul, and ALT.a is definitely is near the top. I’d recommend trying to come for dinner before 7:30 p.m. It got super busy after that.

We arrived as a partial but large group right before the restaurant closed for the afternoon—so we ordered many things off of the menu and they were all delicious. Standout items are the eggplant, fried mushrooms, and various noodle dishes.

I had such a wonderful experience! The food was absolutely delicious – every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. But what truly made the evening special was our waitress Luicia. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure we had everything we needed. Her recommendations were spot on, and she made us feel welcome from start to finish. A perfect combination of amazing food and outstanding service – I’ll definitely be coming back!
