"From the name, you might expect some semblance of French cuisine on the menu. But the only thing French about this newcomer on rue du Nil in Sentier (from the people behind Frenchie and Frenchie Wine Bar) is the chef. It’s a modern Milanese trattoria meets a Parisian bistro (Mirrored ceiling! Fun floor tiles! Wood-paneled coziness!) and has a broad menu of dishes with an apéritivo, antipasti, primi, and secondo piatti format. Lunch is prix fixe but dinner is à la carte, and some of our favorite dishes that you can get at both meals are the pillowy gnudi with ricotta, sage, and hazelnut butter, the agnolotti a la carbonara with smoked eel and horseradish, and the spicy sausage pizzette (one won’t be enough). It’ll be tempting to order one of every dish, but save room for the affogato served in a teacup with espresso from a coffee roaster across the street. " - sara lieberman, lindsey tramuta

Anything said about this place wont be enough. It’s a beautiful experience to dine in this cozy impressive place. Their food is another level. Fried artichoke is exceptional, their Sardines are great, the pastas are heavenly. The staff is knowledgeable of every ingredient in your meal, the wine menu has a big range of beautiful bottles. Its a place to be if in Paris. Bit pricey but worth it.

L’Altro Frenchie is a charming spot with a warm ambiance and attentive service. The food is top-notch, though it didn’t quite live up to my high expectations and the huge buzz around this restaurant. The focaccia was a highlight, but some dishes lacked the Italian flair I was hoping for. Overall, it’s a great place for a meal out.

There is a new modern Italian restaurant that I highly recommend. The place is quite cozy and located on one of the cutest streets in Paris, in my opinion. The menu is very extensive; it took me a while to decide. The homemade focaccia and bread were honestly divine. The burrata salad was very good, typically served with tomatoes, but here it was served with beets, which is rare. For the main course, they had four types of pasta. I chose the pappardelle with rabbit ragù, and it was soul-warming. The daily special featured an amazing cooked chicken that we tried and it was one of the best chickens offered in restaurants. (I would love to try the fish soup as well but it was ordered in the evenings only) We sampled all the desserts, and they were all very delicious and had something different from other Italian places I have been to. The guy who served us was super polite and funny. We figured it out there that the chef has a Michelin restaurant in the same street which explains why the food was so unique.

The agnolotti was delicious, one of the best things we’ve had on our trip! The house made pickles and the wine also wonderful. Unfortunately we sat outside and after our first course we seemed to be forgotten. When the server returned she seemed very surprised our entree of cioppino had not been served. My husband requested no mussels and when it finally arrived, the sauce was delicious, mais il n’y a pas plus seafood only 3 clams, 1 small piece of fish, 2 small bites of squid. They removed the mussels but didn’t replace or replenish the seafood. Again we were left a very long time. We were the only outdoor table and perhaps forgotten. When the server finally came outside she expressed concern regarding the lack of fish and said she’d mention it to the kitchen. Our bill had a charge for taleggio which we did not receive and a charge for bottled water when we were served tap water as requested. Of course the fees were removed from the bill but one shouldn’t have to be so careful. Our meal (over 80€) was overall disappointing as was the service. A sad way to spend our last afternoon in Paris. Especially when we were so excited and heard so many wonderful things about the restaurant. Thank you.

Solid menu options. Green spring vegetables could have been cooked or cooked more (they were raw.) Minna white wine was solid!

Great food. Great vibes. Caponata was delicious. The pork neck entre was one of the best dishes I ever had ever. Top-10 in my life. My wife had the pumpkin ravioli and loved it. The nemesis chocolate cake was insanely delicious. 10/10

We’ve been to the original Frenchie several times and loved it, so we gave the new Italian restaurant a try today. The food is amazing. I went with my wife and daughter and all agreed the food was the best we’ve have in Paris this trip. I had the Cioppino and they had pasta each, and everything was very flavorful and well prepared. The food was better than anything I ate during a recent trip to Italy. I also had a glass of the rosé which was well matched and reasonably priced. I would say that the music is a little loud and the service, at least initially, was rather slow (we waited 10 minutes after being seated to get any water or asked for drinks). That said, this is definitely worth another visit.

We went there for a lunch. The service was very good. As a starter we ordered burata and it was very delicious. For main course I ordered a pasta as a main dish. It was very salty and it was a very small portion. The amount can only be a starter. My daughter ordered Milanese . The crust was very delicious but the meat was not that good. also the side dish potatoes were very dry. She couldn’t eat it. My husband ate a fish dish it was really well cooked but it was very salty. Unfortunately it was not at Frenchie level.
