First, a big thank you to Cathy and Philip for welcoming us into their world. It has been a truly unique and wonderful experience—one that was not just about food but about everything our hosts have created. The location itself is stunning, with every little detail thoughtfully designed and crafted by artisans. And then, the food—simply incredible. Every dish was an explosion of flavors, with meat and fish perfectly paired with seasonal vegetables in various textures and combinations. And finally, the desserts, the coffee, and the perfectly curated wine selection. It’s hard to put into words the journey we were taken on. Cathy’s enthusiasm in sharing the stories behind the details, Phil’s joy as he presented each dish, and their kindness in answering all our questions made the experience even more special. I could go on, but one thing is certain—this is definitely our new favorite place in Ireland. Thank you again, Cathy and Phil, for bringing such a beautiful project to life. Luca e Chiara

WOW WOW WOW What a truly unforgettable culinary experience we had in Alumni Kitchen Table & Rooms on Saturday night, one that will be near impossible to beat. Its hard to put into words the incredible fine dining 14 course taste explosion adventure Philip takes you on with his creative passion & artistry on a plate all while you watch him cook & prep every dish from scratch in his kitchen ,its a privilege to watch. The portions are very generous for tasty menu so you moist certainly wont leave hungry On the other side of the pass Kathy welcomes you into their home like your one of their family creating a warm informal cosy atmosphere, happily sharing their story & remembering each of us by name .Every dish, plate, bowl , every piece of cutlery and table accessories has its place on this phenomenal food journey and each piece has a story with so much linked back to local suppliers & craftspeople. We are a foodie family of 7 who love our fine dining Michelin experience's but Alumni Kitchen blew all the other places we've been out of the water .We had the entire place to ourselves which just added to the exclusivity and intimate feeling this power couple bring to the restaurant world . We sat talking &,laughing like we were sitting around our own family table at home while Kathy & Philp left us wanting for nothing . HOW Alumni Kitchen Table have not yet got a Michelin star is beyond me but i feel its not far away. We sat for 4 hours but felt like 2 and where immersed in the most mind blowing flavour and texture combinations dish after dish , lobster, caviar, truffle, halibut, duck, cheese, breads , chocolate, wine ,coffee it was impossible to pick a favourite. What Kathy & Philip have created is one of a kind dining experience something unique and very very special. What an extraordinary experience! From the moment we arrived, Kathy welcomed us with warmth and charm, setting the tone for the evening. The ambiance of the house exudes a cozy elegance, transforming dinner into a truly artistic event. Witnessing an artist at work, rather than merely observing their creations in a gallery, elevates the experience to another realm entirely. Philip’s artistry is nothing short of remarkable. The intimate setting for just eight guests enhanced the evening, and the meticulous attention to detail—from the table settings to the choice of cutlery and glassware—contributed to the enchanting atmosphere. Without question, this was the finest dining experience I have had, surpassing even Michelin-starred establishments across three continents. The owners are a couple and they couldn’t be better! Super attentive, sympathetic and warm! The place is spotless! Everything on its own place. Brilliant interior design. Food was just amazing! Such rich detail in every little thing! I’ll definitely comeback and recommend it!

A truly fabulous experience from start to finish. Kathy and Philip are wonderful hosts, very personable and down to earth, welcoming you into their unique home and kitchen for a luxurious stay and indulgent gourmet tasting menu. A couple of glasses of vintage champagne into the excellent wine pairing, and any trepidation about the shared table soon evaporated. Conversation was flowing along with the wines. Philip’s pedigree as a Michelin trained chef was on full display, conjuring magical dishes using many local ingredients and drawing inspiration from traditional Irish recipes. Nothing pretentious about it though, this is very serious food delivered by a chef with an obvious passion and enthusiasm for his craft, and Kathy is gifted at putting you at your ease. The rooms are fabulous and it was a privilege to chat over a personally cooked breakfast. Very memorable stay. Don’t hesitate to book.

We had the pleasure of visiting Alumni Kitchen table for the second time last night and it was as spectacular as we remembered!! Kathy and Philip are the ultimate hosts, making us and our friends feel so welcome in their home. Everything was perfection - from the stunning decor and comfortable beds, the delicious food and accompanying wines. Everything that’s used is there for a reason to further enhance your culinary experience! Philip is a master in the kitchen and Kathy’s knowledge of wine is impressive! We could not recommend this place enough, we all felt very privileged to be able to experience it!

I stayed with Phil & Kathy last weekend at The Alumni Kitchen Table & Rooms and it can only be described as phenomenal. It is truly a one of a kind experience to be welcomed into their home and to sit down to a stunning Michelin worthy meal in their own kitchen. The experience is a wonderfully fresh take on fine dining and is in a class of its own. Their attention to detail is faultless, from the accommodation to the dining experience, not to mention the fabulous hosts themselves. Hearing about their story to opening The Alumni Kitchen Table is fascinating and only adds to the experience during the meal. Phil’s menu was exceptional and it was perfectly paired with delicious wines that Kathy introduced with each course, they worked so seamlessly together (the food & drinks and Phil & Kathy) 😊 It is an experience that I would recommend to anyone and is one that I will be adding to my list again for the very near future. I will definitely be taking advantage of their gift vouchers to share with my family and friends so that they can experience it as well. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay! We had a phenomenal experience at Alumni Kitchen Table. The house and rooms are beautiful and cosy, with fantastic attention to detail, making the brief stay very relaxing. The dinner was something really spectacular, each plate was exceptionally delicious and original, and clearly made with care and passion. The wine pairings were magnificent. It was a real privilege to be so close to Philip as he worked, and Kathy was a wonderful host. They took great care of us. It was a very special and memorable evening for myself and my partner, and we would enthusiastically recommend it to anyone who appreciates food, or are looking for something different and special. Philip and Kathy have created something truly unique and impressive, we feel very lucky to have got to enjoy it.
