An intimate dinner for 4 turned out to be some of the best food we have had in Ireland. Every course (there was a lot 😁) was packed with flavour and so creatively presented. The experience was enhanced with the beautiful crockery and cutlery that was sourced locally and some a far. This beautiful restaurant is unique and memorable! Delicious

What an experience at Alumni Kitchen, expertly hosted by Kathy and Philip. They have built such a beautiful space, with a fantastic grounding in the local community through furnishings, products and produce. The rooms were stylish and comfortable with real luxury in the detail. And the FOOD. 14 courses and each a delight on the plate, and on the palate. Crafted with skill and love, which can be tasted in every bite. And the visit was topped off by chatting to Philip and Kathy who were generous and entertaining in telling their story. We arrived on a stormy night and the electricity had just gone on the premises. It was no problem to this couple. We had the most amazing food and hospitality under candle light for the entire evening. The highlights were the duck confit and the rhubarb custard and wild rice. I would highly recommend this unique experience.

Kathy and Philip are an excellent team - Haven't had an experience like this in Ireland. To see each element that goes into every dish, while Philip explains the process behind it, is actually mind-blowing that one person can execute all of this. It feels like only a matter of when, not if, they get a star. The rooms are luxurious, too! Everything was 10/10

Absolutely amazing from start to finish! The most beautifully decorated rooms which are immaculately cleaned and feel so welcoming. Kathy and Philip are the dream team you can feel the passion they share for food and hospitality from the second you walk through the doors. WOW WOW WOW What a truly unforgettable culinary experience we had in Alumni Kitchen Table & Rooms on Saturday night, one that will be near impossible to beat. Its hard to put into words the incredible fine dining 14 course taste explosion adventure Philip takes you on with his creative passion & artistry on a plate all while you watch him cook & prep every dish from scratch in his kitchen ,its a privilege to watch. The portions are very generous for tasty menu so you moist certainly wont leave hungry On the other side of the pass Kathy welcomes you into their home like your one of their family creating a warm informal cosy atmosphere, happily sharing their story & remembering each of us by name .Every dish, plate, bowl , every piece of cutlery and table accessories has its place on this phenomenal food journey and each piece has a story with so much linked back to local suppliers & craftspeople. We are a foodie family of 7 who love our fine dining Michelin experience's but Alumni Kitchen blew all the other places we've been out of the water .We had the entire place to ourselves which just added to the exclusivity and intimate feeling this power couple bring to the restaurant world . We sat talking &,laughing like we were sitting around our own family table at home while Kathy & Philp left us wanting for nothing . HOW Alumni Kitchen Table have not yet got a Michelin star is beyond me but i feel its not far away. We sat for 4 hours but felt like 2 and where immersed in the most mind blowing flavour and texture combinations dish after dish , lobster, caviar, truffle, halibut, duck, cheese, breads , chocolate, wine ,coffee it was impossible to pick a favourite. What Kathy & Philip have created is one of a kind dining experience something unique and very very special. First, a big thank you to Cathy and Philip for welcoming us into their world. It has been a truly unique and wonderful experience—one that was not just about food but about everything our hosts have created. The location itself is stunning, with every little detail thoughtfully designed and crafted by artisans. And then, the food—simply incredible. Every dish was an explosion of flavors, with meat and fish perfectly paired with seasonal vegetables in various textures and combinations. And finally, the desserts, the coffee, and the perfectly curated wine selection. It’s hard to put into words the journey we were taken on. Cathy’s enthusiasm in sharing the stories behind the details, Phil’s joy as he presented each dish, and their kindness in answering all our questions made the experience even more special. A truly fabulous experience from start to finish. Kathy and Philip are wonderful hosts, very personable and down to earth, welcoming you into their unique home and kitchen for a luxurious stay and indulgent gourmet tasting menu. A couple of glasses of vintage champagne into the excellent wine pairing, and any trepidation about the shared table soon evaporated. Conversation was flowing along with the wines. Philip’s pedigree as a Michelin trained chef was on full display, conjuring magical dishes using many local ingredients and drawing inspiration from traditional Irish recipes. Nothing pretentious about it though, this is very serious food delivered by a chef with an obvious passion and enthusiasm for his craft, and Kathy is gifted at putting you at your ease. The rooms are fabulous and it was a privilege to chat over a personally cooked breakfast. Very memorable stay. Don’t hesitate to book.
