Amal in Toronto is, without question, my favourite restaurant in the city. From the moment you walk in, the service, the food, and the atmosphere wrap you in a sense of comfort that is hard to find elsewhere. Every visit feels warm and welcoming, and every detail, from the decor to the way the staff takes care of you, feels intentional.
I absolutely love all of their dishes. Whether I am trying a classic item I have ordered countless times or something new on the menu, I am always impressed by the flavours, presentation, and consistency. Amal has a way of making food that feels both elevated and deeply comforting at the same time.
I first visited a couple of years ago for my birthday, and since then it has become the place where I celebrate not only my birthdays but many other milestones in my life. It has grown to be more than just a restaurant for me. It feels like a personal tradition. Any time a family member visits Toronto, Amal is the first place I take them because it holds such a special place in my heart, and it never fails to impress them as well.
Service can truly make or break a dining experience, and Amal is one of the rare places where the service consistently elevates the meal. The staff are attentive, kind, and genuine, and they add so much to the overall experience. Even though I love exploring new restaurants around the city, Amal remains firmly in my top three Toronto restaurants for all the reasons above. It is a place that makes every visit feel meaningful, and I look forward to every single meal there.
