"Hands-down one of our favorite places to stay in London, the Connaught in Mayfair manages to strike a balance between charming and yet totally modern. The hotel's 5,000-square-foot spa (the only Aman Spa of its kind outside of the resort group), is just as incredible as you'd imagine swathed in floor-to-ceiling marble. At just five treatment rooms strong, there's a welcome intimacy here—all treatments start with an herbal infusion to help you unwind and then treatments take from Chinese, Indian, and Thai influences. (Each of the treatment rooms has its own private steam room.) During the week, the spa hosts a 20-minute lunch meditation at 1 p.m. that's free and open to the public. "

My partner surprised me with a 3-hour Nourishing Signature Journey at Aman Spa for my birthday. I had no idea what to expect, but it turned out to be an incredible experience. Laurie, the amazing therapist, guided me through a relaxing and rejuvenating journey. From the moment I arrived at the spa, I felt pampered and cared for. The spa reception was filled with friendly and knowledgeable therapists who made me feel at ease. Laurie’s calm and soothing presence helped me to fully relax and unwind. I even had a few naps, which were surprisingly refreshing (and a bit snoring-filled, haha). After all my treatments, Laurie met me at the reception with a cute birthday cake and a candle. It felt like I was truly special. If you’re feeling tired and stressed from a busy schedule, Aman Spa is the perfect place to relax and reset. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure you have a wonderful time. I highly recommend Aman Spa and all the lovely staff who work there. Thank you, Laurie, and the entire team for making my birthday so special. All the best!

EDIT: I revisited the Aman spa after their team reached out. The service was absolutely impeccable and the room was much quieter. I note you can still hear the tubes going past the building, but you do get used to it. All of my massages I’ve had here are still the best I’ve ever had. Whilst the Connaught’s spa area has always been small, I’ve never really minded as the massages are some of the best I’ve ever had and I’ve been a few times. But I’m not sure I’ll be back. I’m not sure what happened this time around, (maybe I was in a bad room?) but I heard a constant ‘tap tap tap’ drilling sound and a constant whoosh of the underground trains going nearby the hotel every 2 min as I was having my £370 2 hr treatment. I mentioned the noise of the tube and the receptionist did not seem phased at all, which made it all the lot worse.. A shame really as I love the massages but not very relaxing. Unlikely that I’ll be back as it devalues the whole experience. Surely they must know about this?!

I booked this spa for my best friend's birthday, and she absolutely loved it! My friend had an incredible massage during her visit. She left feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated. It was the perfect birthday treat! The atmosphere was serene, and the staff were very friendly and professional, making the experience even more enjoyable. It's definitely one of the best spas in Toronto. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great spa day!

This is the only Aman Spa in the world that operates outside of the Aman resorts, so naturally, I had to check it out! What a treat. It is expensive, but in my opinion, worth every penny. I travel the world for a living and love trying different luxurious spas, and this was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. I can’t remember exactly which treatment I got, but I recommend asking for the massage where they sage the room – it was absolutely divine. The pool area is okay for relaxing with light snacks, and I was treated to delicious dates after my massage on my first visit. There's also a co-ed steam room. The changing room is small, but despite this, I still love this spa. The massage and the hotel are stunning. My experience was so great that I went back a second time. I must have chosen a regular massage that time, which was still very good, but the first one was truly exceptional. Ps the shampoo, conditioner and body lotion smell SO GOOD

Service is really nice and it’s very tidy. We went for a specific massage but unfortunately she was stroking the skin, not doing a proper massage and we had to respectfully ask to put some pressure multiples times. She would for a minute and then go back to stroking back and forth. As we did not pay for stroking, but for a professional massage, it was very disappointing. We had high expectations but the quality was not good.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a facial at the Aman Spa located within The Connaught Hotel, and it was nothing short of luxurious. The staff at Aman Spa are not just attentive but also incredibly knowledgeable, ensuring that every aspect of your visit is tailored to meet your unique needs. The therapist exhibited a level of skill and expertise that surpassed my expectations. They took the time to understand my skin concerns and preferences, customizing the treatment accordingly. I was talked through the treatment process prior to and during the treatment. Post-treatment, I had the opportunity to unwind in the spa's tranquil relaxation area, complete with herbal teas and light refreshments. The peaceful environment allowed me to extend the benefits of the facial and savor the moments of tranquility. I left the spa glowing and feeling thoroughly relaxed. A perfect escape in the heart of London.

This is my first time being at an Aman Spa, and my husband brought this experience as a Christmas gift since we were visiting London before heading back home. The spa center has a steaming room and a pool. The men’s changing room is quite small… can't imagine if there are 4 to 5 guys in the changing room. Upon arrival, the receptionist was welcoming and greeted us, and showed us where is everything. The massage therapist welcomed us and led us to the private room. My husband had a great relaxing service, on the other hand, I felt mine was okay, her skill was relaxing but the table was unstable so every time when she added more pressure then the table shook….. And I would wake up from falling asleep… and concerning the table from collapse. At the end of the session, the massage therapist left my robe on my leg and walked out of the room without a note, so I was sitting on the bed, not sure if she would back to the room. Overall, I think I might have expected this place to be something high-end and excellent but it didn't.

Expensive, but a nice experience. We were gifted a wedding present of a voucher for this spa. We each had a massage. Mine was very relaxing, and the right mix of pressure and soothing. Fell asleep for some of it, very enjoyable. The massage area was quite compact, but the spa/pool area (additional cost), looked nice, though we didn't go there.

Yelp
What a wonderful, relaxing place. Aman is fairly new and located two levels below ground at the prestigious Connaught Hotel in Mayfair. A sister to the spa at The Berkeley in Knightsbridge, Aman is less trendy and more focused on deep relaxation. The whole place is low-lit with candle light and Asian-inspired touches. I've received several treatments since arriving at the hotel last week and I have to say, I am impressed. Relaxation does not comes easy to me yet halfway through my facial/massage today I found myself almost drifting to sleep. Then, of course impressed by my own ability to be lulled into sleep, I bolted awake again. My facialist/masseuse was wonderful and helpful. I would absolutely come back here. If not for a treatment, then to lounge by the waterfall pool or sit in the starry steam room. Update: Still love the spa. However, minus one point for not offering necessary amenities in the locker rooms. Lesser establishments still have combs, dry deodorant and razors.
