Three Keys and Three Stars: Why The Connaught is the Ultimate Luxury Icon

"Designed as the first Aman Spa created for another hotel outside Aman’s own stable, the spa offers a glassy swimming pool, gym, wellness experts, skin courses and a comprehensive menu of holistic massages, body treatments and specialised therapies, making it a tranquil, high-end wellness destination within the hotel." - The MICHELIN Guide UK Editorial Team

"Hands-down one of our favorite places to stay in London, the Connaught in Mayfair manages to strike a balance between charming and yet totally modern. The hotel's 5,000-square-foot spa (the only Aman Spa of its kind outside of the resort group), is just as incredible as you'd imagine swathed in floor-to-ceiling marble. At just five treatment rooms strong, there's a welcome intimacy here—all treatments start with an herbal infusion to help you unwind and then treatments take from Chinese, Indian, and Thai influences. (Each of the treatment rooms has its own private steam room.) During the week, the spa hosts a 20-minute lunch meditation at 1 p.m. that's free and open to the public. "

I had an exceptional experience with Olivia Lucuta, Spa Reception Supervisor at the Aman Spa at The Connaught. What could easily have become a very difficult situation was handled by Olivia with remarkable professionalism, sensitivity and genuine dedication. She stepped in immediately, understood the issue in full, and resolved it with a level of care and competence that genuinely saved the day for both myself and my client. It’s rare to encounter someone who not only prevents a problem, but turns it into a positive experience. Olivia is an outstanding representative of the spa, and I cannot praise her highly enough for the way she managed everything from start to finish.

My partner surprised me with a 3-hour Nourishing Signature Journey at Aman Spa for my birthday. I had no idea what to expect, but it turned out to be an incredible experience. Laurie, the amazing therapist, guided me through a relaxing and rejuvenating journey. From the moment I arrived at the spa, I felt pampered and cared for. The spa reception was filled with friendly and knowledgeable therapists who made me feel at ease. Laurie’s calm and soothing presence helped me to fully relax and unwind. I even had a few naps, which were surprisingly refreshing (and a bit snoring-filled, haha). After all my treatments, Laurie met me at the reception with a cute birthday cake and a candle. It felt like I was truly special. If you’re feeling tired and stressed from a busy schedule, Aman Spa is the perfect place to relax and reset. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure you have a wonderful time. I highly recommend Aman Spa and all the lovely staff who work there. Thank you, Laurie, and the entire team for making my birthday so special. All the best!

This is the only Aman Spa in the world that operates outside of the Aman resorts, so naturally, I had to check it out! What a treat. It is expensive, but in my opinion, worth every penny. I travel the world for a living and love trying different luxurious spas, and this was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. I can’t remember exactly which treatment I got, but I recommend asking for the massage where they sage the room – it was absolutely divine. The pool area is okay for relaxing with light snacks, and I was treated to delicious dates after my massage on my first visit. There's also a co-ed steam room. The changing room is small, but despite this, I still love this spa. The massage and the hotel are stunning. My experience was so great that I went back a second time. I must have chosen a regular massage that time, which was still very good, but the first one was truly exceptional. Ps the shampoo, conditioner and body lotion smell SO GOOD

Beautifully designed space with a great atmosphere — very vibey and the massage itself was solid. Just know the amenities are minimal: one shared steam room and none of the extras (no sauna, whirlpool, or hot tub). Price was fair, but you’re coming here more for the vibe than a full spa experience.

Sorita was my masseuse today for a 3.5 hour signature experience and she made me feel comfortable, helped me reset and gave great advice afterwards. She has a very professional grip and hits the right spots. The reception staff was also very forthcoming and wonderful! I highly recommend this healing journey!

My husband and I treated ourselves to a holistic couples massage with Aman spa and it was truly amazing. Both our therapist were professional and attentive to our requests regarding the pressure and areas of focus. We were relaxed and pampered after our massage. We would love to come back and will recommend it to our friends and family.

I had booked the dream package which comes with a 60 minute massage, use of sauna and a face mask. The massage started late and finished early. I had asked my masseuse to apply a little more pressure, she refused saying it was not in the package which made no sense. The massage seemed rushed and was as light as just applying moisturizer to my skin. After that, she had told me I can use the sauna and will come back. She did not. After waiting for 30 minutes, I got dressed and left. The therapist was just sitting outside on her phone the whole time.

One of the best spa I went. The treatments are absolutely amazing and the therapist always knows what’s best for you. Extremely clean and tidy, a real place to relax and recharge with some little bags of nuts and tea by the pool. A must try in London

Yelp
What a wonderful, relaxing place. Aman is fairly new and located two levels below ground at the prestigious Connaught Hotel in Mayfair. A sister to the spa at The Berkeley in Knightsbridge, Aman is less trendy and more focused on deep relaxation. The whole place is low-lit with candle light and Asian-inspired touches. I've received several treatments since arriving at the hotel last week and I have to say, I am impressed. Relaxation does not comes easy to me yet halfway through my facial/massage today I found myself almost drifting to sleep. Then, of course impressed by my own ability to be lulled into sleep, I bolted awake again. My facialist/masseuse was wonderful and helpful. I would absolutely come back here. If not for a treatment, then to lounge by the waterfall pool or sit in the starry steam room. Update: Still love the spa. However, minus one point for not offering necessary amenities in the locker rooms. Lesser establishments still have combs, dry deodorant and razors.
