"Amara is a modern Indian restaurant from the same team as Tabla in Midtown. While it’s a little more casual than their first spot, Amara is still a great location for a group dinner, or to just come in solo and eat at the bar. Their menu includes a wide range of more traditional dishes, like biryani and tikka masala, along with four types of Indian bread. However, they also serve a few things that are just as Southern as they are Indian, like the thinly sliced fried okra and brussel sprouts with tamarind dressing, along with a wide range of Indian-inspired cocktails." - Sarah Bailey

Delicious food!! The best gulab jamun in desserts. Loved everything that I tried from appetizers to entree to desserts . Good service and it was the nice gesture from the chef to give us complimentary “carrot halwa” to celebrate Indian festival holi.

The food is great over here. Price is resonabily on higher sode as compared to other near by resturants because of 20% gratiity and sales tax. However it is understandable as per the location of the resturant. So over all nice. Personally liked the lamb starters and all breads..

Best thing: ambience and food. We loved the food and our server Abhishek. We ordered thali (veg and non veg) with wrap and samosa. Everything was super tasty. Restaurant looked very clean and hygienic. Worst: Parking. We didn’t get street level parking easily on almost deserted afternoon. I can’t imagine scene for the night. Menu for the lunch was very limited. For kids: there are no kids portions-or kids changing table in restroom. Though kids loved samosas and people were very nice to kids. Wow factor: our table was serviced by Abhishek. He made such an effort to make us feel comfortable with kids, that we were wowed.

Great food. Little American version of Indian curry but that’s fine. The bread (Naan) was fresh and was authentic... great service. - Dish below is called Thali. Try out😊

Service and atmosphere are very good. Chef is a cool guy bc he comes out to say hi. The only food I liked was the garlic naan. Thought the paneer was too sweet, kulcha (with goat cheese and jalapeño) was too soggy, although creative. Didn't like the flavor of the mo mos.

A little pricey but a good fine dining place with phenomenal food. Best chicken tikka masala I've had in a long time, they made it very spicy just the way I like it and asked for. Definitely would come back here again.

Phenomenal food and drinks. Can’t wait to go again. The butter chicken was by far the best I’ve tasted outside of Europe.
