10 Festive Christmas Eve Meals in Miami - Eater Miami

"Amare’s Feast of the Seven Fishes Christmas Eve dinner offers three appetizers and pastas along with two mains and dessert selections. Start with sauteed mussels in a light red sauce, zucchini flowers with Atlantic cod and rabiola, and calamari. Continue on to three pastas; squid ink pasta with jumbo lump crab, artichokes and bottarga, ravioli filled with Maine lobster, and large rigatoni with little neck clams and zucchini. The entrée choices are a grilled branzino or grilled octopus with a chickpea puree and fennel. Finish off with either the profitteroles or panetonne. The dinner is priced at $75 per person." - Stacy A. Moya

The ambiance was absolutely beautiful, the service was good, but the food could have been better. The tropical salad was really interesting and tasty—but could have used more dressing. The spicy broccoli rabe had absolutely no “kick” to it..and is advertised as having garlic and red peppers or red chili flakes—of which I saw no red spices or garlic. The branzino was fresh and done to my liking, but the sides could have been better. The roasted potatoes were advertised as having fresh rosemary herbs on it—again, of which, I couldn’t taste or see any fresh rosemary sprigs. I truly believe this restaurant has a lot of potential to be great, and I am rooting for them as I’d love to see them be a success. The menu just needs a wee bit tweaking and including menu items as advertised (on their google listing, the menu advertises a kale salad...but it has been removed from their current menu) and with the ingredients as advertised. The service was great and everyone was super friendly—I’m hopeful this restaurant can live to its full potential with menu tweaking (:

We reserved this restaurant based on the restaurant reviews and beautiful bar and decor. The place was clean and nice. Unfortunately the service and food did not live up to expectations. First there is no parking. There is paid parking lot $20 cash only across the street. And it fills up fast. No other paid parking. So be sure to Uber there. We were the only customers the entire 3 hours for brunch 1pm to 4pm and there is plenty of space for social distancing. This is a new building. Not an old historic building. Prices were very reasonable. The menu was limited. They didn't have the dish for the birthday girl so that was disappointing. A spinach quiche. The lemon French toast sounded amazing. But when served there was no lemon flavor or zest whatsoever. A few blueberries accompanied the pancakes. The brussel sprouts was the hero dish. One guest ordered the eggs Benedict and were pleased. The bar was handsome. Great for photo opps. For this area south of fifth street, parking is extremely difficult. Also we noticed South Beach is less active than downtown Miami.

The service and food was phenomenal! Jerry Caggia was an awesome server. He treated our group like family. The eggplant and Italian ice cream were my favorite. I would highly recommend Amare to anyone visiting south beach!

This is an amazing Italian restaurant 100% authentic and very well priced. It is off the beaten path of south beach but very well worth the trip! Test menu was amazing!!! Their future looks very promising! The staff was top notch, ask for Tony!
