Amavi Miami - Review - Midtown - Miami - The Infatuation

"Amavi is a Mediterranean restaurant from New York serving up the usual suspects: lamb chops, grilled octopus, and a rigatoni. It lands in Midtown, in the former space of another vaguely Mediterranean restaurant. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Mariana Trabanino

The ambiance of this restaurant can be described as a neutral subdued and sheik .The neutral pages mix with subdued lighting create sexy romantic vibe. We arrived 15 minutes before or rest time and settled at the bar after checking in.At precisely our reserved time hostess approached us and offered a seat at our table. The waitress was pleasant and engaging.we ordered from Miami Spice menu The portions were generous and the food was delicious. Well paced dinner .The wait staff were impeccable and accommodating .At 8:30 DJ came on and created a very cool vibe .The cat walk is located in the middle of restaurant. The fire breather comes on a bit later. The dessert was Dubai chocolate cheesecake!!!!! I would recommend this restaurant ,it has everything ,PLUS!

AMAVI has officially become my favorite restaurant — and for good reason. From start to finish, everything about the experience was top-tier. We ordered an array of appetizers, and each one was freshly made and bursting with flavor. You could truly taste the quality in every bite. The food temperature was absolutely perfect — something surprisingly rare to find in Miami. And let me tell you, I’m picky when it comes to steak. I like mine cooked between medium and well — not an easy balance to strike — but they nailed it. I’ve never been to a restaurant where I could describe exactly how I wanted it prepared and actually receive it just right. The presentation was also a standout — every dish was photo-worthy, which made the experience even more enjoyable. And the best part? It’s so close to home! I’m already planning to come here frequently. Thank you to the staff for such a memorable experience. You’ve earned a loyal customer!

Amavi Restaurant exceeded all expectations and truly stands out as the best dining experience in Miami. From the moment we arrived, the staff was attentive, professional, and welcoming. Our server, Bruno, provided outstanding service—he was knowledgeable about the menu, attentive without being intrusive, and made us feel like family. The cuisine was exceptional: every dish was prepared with care, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The atmosphere was equally impressive—elegant yet comfortable, with perfect lighting that set the tone for a memorable evening. We celebrated our anniversary here, and it was the perfect choice. Amavi delivers not only on food and service but also on creating an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking fine dining in Miami. We will absolutely return.

AMAVI – Miami (Visited on Day 2 of Opening) Excited to check out AMAVI during its second day of opening. The vibe is promising—there's a runway set up which hints at future entertainment, though none just yet. Food highlights: Carrot Tartar was unique and flavorful, though just a bit too much on the portion or intensity. Lamb Chops were absolutely delicious—well-seasoned and cooked perfectly throughout. Salmon was moist and paired with an excellent sauce. I personally enjoy a little extra salt, but that’s just me! Hummus could use a touch more salt to bring it to life, but the texture was on point. Music transitioned from North African vibes to a more Mediterranean lounge style with a live DJ—nice touch for the ambiance. Looking forward to visiting again as they settle in and expand the experience. Definitely worth keeping on your radar.

Loved how amazing the ambiance and the DJ was playing very good Afro house music. The server which I can’t recall the name but she was amazing and super nice loved her service and how patient she was with us. Had a great time overall will definitely will be bringing some friends to hang out here

Google
The food is good, with a concept based on small plates to share, and our main server was friendly. However, the table service needs improvement: if you order a starter and a main, everything may arrive at the same time —. We come to enjoy a meal together, not to have it all served in one go. Desserts are clearly not up to the same standard as the rest. The atmosphere is nice… as long as the music volume stays low. But once it goes up, it’s a chain reaction: guests start talking louder and louder, and you end up leaving the place hoarse.

Atmosphere was very fun, contemporary and lively. Sophisticated crowd and outstanding service. My fish was perfect. We will go back and bring a group of our friends absolutely. Check this place out!

Google
Outstanding new spot in Miami! Amavi delivers on all fronts — beautiful presentation, bold Mediterranean flavors, and a relaxing yet upscale atmosphere. We ordered the lamb chops, rigatoni pomodoro, tuna crudo, bone marrow with tartare, and grilled octopus — every dish was a hit. The lamb was juicy and perfectly cooked, the pasta had a deep rich sauce, and the tuna crudo was light, fresh, and seasoned just right. The octopus had that ideal char and came with a refreshing fennel salad. Service was attentive and warm, the ambiance felt intimate but modern, and the attention to detail (from plating to glassware) made it feel like a true dining experience. Highly recommend for a date night, client dinner, or just when you’re in the mood to treat yourself to something memorable. Will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Came with my kettlebell fitness group. I was so in love with how moody the vibe was inside. Everyone was so nice and helpful. We didn't need to ask for a thing. Our drinks were kept full like we had more than one waiter. Our food was out pretty fast. We did get to our reservation before the place got too busy. The food was perfect, my strip steak was was cooked to medium well perfectly it was great.

Yelp
The place is very chic, modern, elegant, and the vibe is great. After making our reservation, we received multiple emails emphasizing the importance of arriving on time and adhering to the dress code, warning that otherwise we could face a penalty or even be denied service. We made sure to arrive promptly and followed the dress code. Surprise number one: while most people did respect the dress code, there were guests wearing shorts and flip-flops. Surprise number two: despite being on time, we had to wait 45 minutes for our table, and no even a complimentary drink or any attention was offered during this long wait. Staying faithful to the Miami concept of a nightclub-restaurant, the music was loud and lively, and there was a central area designated for shows and presentations. Unfortunately, the only entertainment was a repetitive ten-minute fire-dancer performance every 45 minutes or so , which felt underwhelming given the expectation set by the atmosphere. Our server and runners were friendly, polite, and professional, but overall service needs improvement. It seemed unorganized and no proactive. We had to ask for water refills, new cocktails, fresh silverware, oil, and vinaigrette..... At times, two different servers even brought the same items twice, showing a lack of coordination and planning. On the positive side, the food was quite good. The New York steak was lean and perfectly cooked, the short ribs were excellent, and the mafaldini was hearty and delicious. The octopus, however, was on the tougher side, and we could not  try the kofta skewers since they had run out. Portions were decent, and in my opinion, reasonably priced. The drinks were generally good, although some cocktails leaned too much on the syrupy side. Overall, the night was long but enjoyable, and  It deserves another try in the future.
