Amazon Fresh

I've been to this store twice. I appreciated that the Amazon returns desk was clearly marked. The attendant was friendly and professional. I took a quick walk around the outer edge of the store and was surprised at the deals offered on a couple items I buy often elsewhere.

I was here with a friend to pick flowers for an occasion. The service is great, we had eleven bouquets of flowers and the cashier was kind enough to check and let us take those in the black bucket which was easy for us to carry and transport at the venue.

Shelves were pretty bare after a long first week. Prices were much higher than I expected them to be. The store was very clean though. The hot food section looked tasty. With the exception of the greeter, the staff seemed to be trying to ignore the customers. Grand openings are difficult so I'll check back in a few weeks.

Very well, clean and organized store. However, prices are all over the place most items are very overpriced.!! Cashier seemed very slow as though she wasn’t trying to assist and would rather socialize talking to customers and drinking her coffee drink 🥤 I gave a 2 ⭐️ ⭐️ since she did give me a better coupon than I came in with, which was nice. With the prices so high and lack of selection, this is not a store I would recommend or go back to 😕

I went to Amazon Fresh for the first time since they opened looking for a quick dinner from their hot foods section. I love that they sell pizza's by the slice. Not only did they have a few choices to choose from, but priced at just $1.79 per slice, they were a steal! Don't let the price fool you though, the quality is decent and tasted pretty good! I also picked up a Poke Bowl for about $12. Their sushi selections looked pretty good and are definitely a step above the typical grocery store offerings. Overall, I was very impressed by the quality and amount of food I got for the price! While I didn't look into the aisles themselves very much, I will definitely be back for a quick meal!

I don't know what cave I was living in but I didn't even know we had an Amazon Fresh store in the area until a couple of months ago and I'm glad I know about them now! It's a little out of the way for me but so worth the drive. The store is clean and there are plenty of employees in case I have a question. They are always friendly and very helpful; I feel like they actually want to assist me. I've been very pleased with the prices, particularly now when folks are trying to make their dollars stretch farther. The product selection is pretty good and I appreciate that I have a choice of store brand or name brand products. The fresh produce section is great and, again, very affordable. I have used the online order pickup feature, which is a timesaver, but I've also shopped in the store as well. Excellent service, either way. Looking forward to going back.

Billion dollar company and they use the cheapest, thinnest bags you can get. This is what happened to o my product because my bags completely ripped apart as I was going upstairs to my apartment. This is unacceptable. They CHARGE for these also btw. Absolute trash.

After the grand opening, prices slowly seem to become more reasonable. I stop by every now and then and it's been pretty good. Paying with the Amazon account has been nice too, pretty convenient. I was always excited about the hot pizza slices, but it's been hit and miss maybe because but much is being sold. But hopefully this improves. They have a different deal for easy made food, for example Monday you'll get a pizza slice and a bottle of coke for a reasonable price.

I've been so curious about Amazon fresh! After rehearsal last night, I stopped in about 9PM. I walked into a clean, crisp, and futuristic grocery store (think....Safeway meets Whole Foods, meets Amazon vibes...) with good prices :) I headed to the bakery and got a u-pick snickerdoodle and then some fresh and clean produce from the fruit section! **I only walked half the store for this review** but the isles I did visit were pretty rad (see pics) and apparently there's a cart that scans your items and you can pay in some RFID futuristic way! Haha wow.... I got the viral and top rated Amazon Classic Potato Chips and man, they kick ass! I also got whole pack of Amazon chocolate chunk cookies for $1.39 () enjoyed the quality (same brands as Whole Foods for less) and taste of the produce for a low price better than Walmart! The store has a mix of prices and if you're in the area it's definitely worth stopping in, you can also return and pickup your Amazon packages here. Lastly the cashier I had was lively for 930PM and coo. The adventure of PART 2. Continues next week...

My wife needed to return some items purchased on Amazon so she wanted to go to the Fresh store to also buy some items we needed for dinner. Returns went ok with no line and little difficulty. Shopping was not to bad, we found all the non-fresh items fairly easy. All the fresh items we needed cucumbers, peppers, and carrots were all just bad. Rotting or soft and looked like no one cared to take rotting food off shelves. Lastly, the employees were everywhere! They were blocking aisles with carts, standing in large groups of 3-4 people just chatting, and one almost hit my wife with a large cart because he was chatting while pushing it down a lane. Won't return.

None of the three Amazon Fresh stores that opened in the Sacramento area are convenient to me but I had an Amazon return that required drop off here or Kohls so it gave me an excuse to check one out. This one is next to Joanns. I was pleasantly surprised!!! First, I did my return that is located and marked at the front of the store. I will say the associate was not very friendly or helpful. I was not greeted or anything except, "you need anything else?" I asked, do I get a receipt???? she says no, you will receive an email. I usually have a tracking receipt at the UPS store but I trusted the process and I received an email confirmation about 25 mins later. Hmm... don't really dig that at all because there is no proof otherwise that I did it. Anyway, I needed groceries. I expected lack of selection and high prices. On the contrare! True the store is slightly smaller than a major grocery store but it had your basics and name brand and Amazon brand. They do not have a butcher shop so all meat is pre-packaged. Produce looked fresh. Their Simply line of juices was only $2.49!! I usually pay $3.99 at Walmart and $5.49 at Bel Air for the cranberry. I bought all they had left. Found similar priced items throughout that were less than Walmart or same. Only a few items were more than I would pay elsewhere. Store is clean, not busy, and set up sensibly. Parking lot is very roomy. There was only one cashier and several self check out stands that they probably highly encourage. I usually hate these things as I always seem to have issues with them but I did not! I especially like that they have very wide areas to put your stuff and didn't feel cramped. While shopping I noticed that people had scanners in their carts so there is an option to avoid check out altogether! I will have to try that next time as I will make it a point to return. Truly loved my experience here. Just wish it was closer to home so it will have to be a destination. I find it to be a great alternative to very busy Walmart or a very large Winco. Oh and lastly, if you are an Amazon Prime customer and use either your store card or Prime Visa, you get 5% back.

This was my very first experience of entering an Amazon fresh store. I always order groceries on their app, but never been to the store before. The place is not that big but it's very clean and organized. It has everything you need like a grocery store. I judge a store's pricing by the price of a Digiorno pizza lol. They started at only $4! Other grocery stores would charge $7+ for the same pizza! I believe they have very reasonable pricing and I wish I lived closer to one of these. It would be my go-to supermarket for sure.

The only reason I did not like coming to Amazon fresh was the prices were higher if you think that you are gonna get a great deal there might be a great deal, but it has to be a special I really would rather just go to Safeway or Raleys The story is clean and you can go without having somebody bother you if you put your card on the cart in a device they have using your Amazon card, but other than that, there are a lot of people there

Had to see if it was worth it or not... Well, it wasn't! It literally has everything a regular store would. I'd say their hot food selection is pretty much the nicest thing about this place, but it not worth the drive if you're not local. The store is smaller than I expected, but it's new and it's well organized. They have carts where you can scan your food as you go which is pretty cool, but I wasn't trying to fool around with it. So we grabbed a regular cart for our shopping. Can't say much about the service because we didn't have anyone serve us during the time there. But the checkout has a palm scanner (which I'll never use), so I assume that makes shopping easier? Idk... I won't go back because there are too many grocery stores that have what I need already. They do have their own brand of food, but it wouldn't cause me to drive out of my way for it. Bring the prices down and it would be cool to see more options that other stores don't already have. I like the store, but I would say that it's a bit less successful than the Roseville store. It is a bit smaller, although they have a very good hot food and pizza section, they have a good selection of just about anything you need groceries wise, and of course you can always pick up or return Amazon packages here.. there are Alexa units throughout the store, where you can ask questions, such as where an item is. I still love the dash carts. I like the fact. That you can scan items and put them right into the cart, then just walk through the dash cart lane at the end of your shopping trip, and verify your purchase without taking anything back out of the cart. I like the fact that you can pull up coupons on the cart screen, and that you get a "running total" of what you have spent so far on the screen. Also, the Grocery item scanners on the cart seem to be working better than they were at the Roseville store. The big problem I have is the prices. Prices are Safeway level and some are even higher. I like the Amazon branded grocery products, because the quality is just as good, and the price is more reasonable. There were hardly any Amazon branded products that I saw in this store. This store has a Walmart neighborhood market about two blocks away on one side, and a Trader Joe's less than a block away on the other side. It's got a lot of competition, and in most cases, I would just go to one of those stores. Let's just say, this store has a lot of potential, but it needs to live up to that potential. We come here often to drop off Amazon returns. Fast service but they do not give receipts for returns as marked in Amazon app or site. Looked around for sale items twice when we came by and both times sold out. Looked into a few things I normally buy the prices alittle higher here. Purchased two of the same sodas on our last visit and was supposed to have discount for prime members. I put in my prime phone number says it showed my info and soda was regular price on receipt. Not worth waiting for management to fix it.

We visited this store today for the first time. We weren't certain how the shopping was supposed to work. We decided to explore the store and we found a few things that we needed. We did self check out at the end and it was very easy. The store wasn't too busy and there was a wide range of items. Quite a few organic options,which we appreciated. The store was clean and not crowded. Parking was easy and plenty of open spaces. I can imagine that we will return to this store in the future.

I think I found my new favorite grocery store! I ordered my groceries for pickup, but snuck in to take a look before I checked in for my grocery drop off. The store is well laid out. Clean. Bright. It feels so fresh and new! Ample parking and the parking lot is easy to navigate. I can't wait to come back to do my own shopping! As far as online ordering with pickup, I'm very pleased. The pickup spaces were clearly marked and easy to find. Once I clicked on the app to notify that I've arrived, delivery to my car at about 2pm was easy peasy! My groceries were packed with care. The produce that was selected were as nice as anything I'd pick for myself. Looking forward to my next trip!

This is the first time in this store. We have always wanted to stop by and check out the Amazon fresh store. It is very clean and organized. It does not have as much variety as other locations, but there is plenty of refrigerator items and a good variety of those. Checkout was easy and fast as well even if you don't have an account with Amazon.

Store seemed well nice put together and clean. It must've been stalking day when checked it out because most meats were gone. The items seem bit more pricier than I expected. Definitely not in the Trader Joe's, winco or neighborhood Walmart price range. I'm assuming because most of it is organic? I'd shop here for smaller items but not a full grocery list. Nice store though!

Came here on opening day and was thoroughly impressed. The smart carts were cool and the selection of items were decent. Came back a few weeks later and the glamor of opening day was gone. The smart carts barely worked, had to scan and scan and rescan our items many times. Lots of items were out of stock and lots of empty shelves. Employees just walking aimlessly around. Frankly, it was kind of apocalyptic. We weren't permitted to walk the smart cart out to the car because "it might rain" - so an employee had to help transfer all of our items to a regular cart. And then helped bag them up. Super inconvenient and backwards. Won't be back.

Don't do it! Went in to return something so I could get the $10 off $40 grocery deal. I was told to scan the barcode at the customer service desk and when I did I was told that had to register. The third step was entering a credit card - I assumed it was for faster check out. I put in two different banking cards that had nothing to do with Amazon. Both cards were rejected as the message stated that they could not process the cards. I went home and when I got home I had two different alerts form both banking institutions. There was a charge of $34.90 from an unknown merchant. Called both institutions and canceled both cards. It had to be a security breach at Amazon! I tried inform Amazon but they did not seem interested at least not enough to pursue it. NEVER shopping there! This was a barcode inside the store at the customer service desk.

I went in because I was curious. Not sure how long this place will exist. I can't see it as a regular grocery store but maybe not my cup of tea. I went in to do an Amazon return the line was long the staff was very stressed and unhappy. The place reminded me of a very depressive grocery outlet. I didn't buy anything after just feeling weird vibes.

this place is total crap the manager romeo said my package was missing until i pointed it out on the shelf he is a very bad manager. I stood there for 20 minutes while they found all my packages.

Great clean store with a great parking lot. The self checkout is always open and they have a cashier available as well. You can get a special cart for shop and go, but then you have to bag your groceries before leaving the store because those special SHOP and GO carts cannot go outside. They need to update their business model for check-out purposes because it should be way easier if you are an amazon account holder or a prime holder, you should be able to just scan on your phone and walk-out, maybe I just havent figured that out yet. Either way this store is amazing, clean and im glad they are in town now!

I tried to append this to my previous review but was unable to find out how. I once again returned an item to amazon. This is the first time since my last review. This time the customer in front of me was very slow so I remembered the kiosk that I was informed about the last time, so I tried it. After figuring out how it worked I scanned my return code and put my item in the plastic bag as instructed. The kiosk made printing noises but nothing came out. I asked for additional labels but nothing happened. I then told the employee behind the counter the kiosk needed paper. She said "oh, the kiosk doesn't work". Maybe put a sign on it?

Store seemed nice and new, well arranged. Bought much fruit..cherries, nectarines, oranges. Asked for pickled herring, but they did not stock that. Also asked for "Kefir"...a yogurt drink. Was told they did not stock that item, but I FOUND IT MYSELF. The workers their were surprisingly inept and not knowledgeable. Avocadoes were advertised for "79 cents each....or two for three dollars....lol". (Yeah, you figure that one out.) Prices were fairly reasonable, but when I got home the quality of the fruit was absolutely "DISGUSTING". Nectarines were rotten inside, and the cherries looked good but tasted "TERRIBLE". In my mind the name "Amazon Fresh" seems to denote high quality fresh produce. What a disappointment! Good selection, but low quality.....(But the best clam chowder I ever tasted!)

Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The store was very clean, well lit, and items were easy to find. Product choices were pretty good, too. The only thing that gave me trouble was the payment method; had to quickly add my phone number into my Amazon account so I could use my Prime membership for deals. I plan on going back!

The worst service. One checker only with long long lines and " manager" who could care less. He could have stepped up to take over another register. But no, just sit back and people wait and wait because only one cashier!!! Horrible experience!

Sad to say we think this store is a bust. We get their flyers in the mail and online with the specials listed. We tried to buy several of the "on special" items, and they were all "out of stock". That was on the day they opened, so we're wondering why they didn't stock enough for that day. Fast forward to a couple of days ago when we went to buy a turkey that was "on special". Guess what.. out of stock! In fact they didn't have any turkeys at all. They pointed out that the flyers show the sale price with an asterisk that notes: "while supplies last". Well, geez, the supplies just don't last at all. I'm glad that we have several other grocery stores in our neighborhood, as Amazon Fresh isn't doing it for us. Another bummer for us is that there is no phone number to call directly to the store to see if they have something in stock. The posted number just takes you to Amazon Customer service somewhere, and you have to jump through a bunch of phone tree choices and still don't get to the store.

The self serve check out does not accept cash. Also, only one or two full serve check outs accept case. Poor management. Prices are not that low.

Always good deals and it's was to order online. They don't charge a delivery fee if you order online and you can get a half off membership if you are a senior or on low income status like medi-cal or food stamps.aThey also do refunds or give credit if they make a mistake, and money goes back on your card if they happen to charge you for something that you didn't order, they are fair and good and kind customers service reps

Only thing I like is Amazon returns. I'm sure the food is good and fresh. I give too much to Bezos as it is. Prices here could be better but then it caters too much to the woke crowd. Too trendy for my taste.

It's a great store, they have deeper discounts on items if you're a prime member, which most are, only hard part is remembering where to go to get the QR code for checkout I've been here maybe a handful of times only because I have a Safeway closer to me, but if I remember to check the website and find better deals here I will definitely come out of my way to shop this store. The store is usually well stocked, I don't remember a time I came that it was completely bare as people have mentioned on here, sometimes you do see the usually out of stocks on holiday items or as of late the eggs, I came here day before and found some and the prices were not all that high, actually lower than what some stores are charging for a dozen, I think here at the Amazon fresh they're at around 4 and change, we like this store and it's not all bad, I'm surprised it's only 2.5 stars at the moment, also very clean store and their hot foods are very good oh and there's a rotating deal on lunch food items, they have pre made sandwiches for $3, these run 5-6 at all other grocery stores...if only I worked nearby I'd be eating lunch here.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. On multiple occasions they have made me wait 30+ minutes for a pick up order. The most recent time I waited close to an hour after being told my order was ready. I went inside after waiting 30 minutes and asked what was going on and they told me that I needed to wait 15 more minutes because my order was still incomplete. I went back to my car to wait and they made me wait 25 more minutes (now it's past the pick up window time). Horrible customer service workers are constantly waiting around and talking.

I'm on board with the Amazon Fresh experience! There are many things to like about this store, including the deep discounts for the prime members. I already shop at two or three different stores so I don't mind going out of my way for some of the deals here the pizza alone is worth a trip! The Roseville store I must say seems a little bit larger and nicer to me. I enjoy having a Krispy Kreme in the store. All the employees are very nice and I like the convenience of being able to return things at the grocery store where I am I have found some really amazing deals here But again some things are very expensive as other reviewers have said you have to shop around as you do with most things, I tend to shop mostly at Trader Joe's, but there are things you just can't get there. I do like the speedy checkout and days when there are things that are just such a great deal you can't beat them with your Amazon prime discount.

I help with a special needs school in the area and Shannon and Silvia in the food prep department go above and beyond when preparing special Pizza Party days for us. Even cutting the slices smaller for the children Thank you so much!

I recently was too sick to go to the store and this was fast and convenient. They shopped for me and delivered right to my door. I appreciate all you online grocery shopping people thank you.

While Amazon Fresh is not your normal grocery store, the customer service each time I have come has been top notch. Especially Adrianna, who helped me with my deli order. She apologized for asking me to wait while she replaced the paper in the machine, went and found me to take my order, and decided to comp me for the order even though it was not necessary and they had done nothing wrong.

Today was second and probably last time I order delivery from this store. First time they were out of advertised specials. This was on a Thursday, 1 day after ad came out. Kept getting msgs regarding things that were out and if I wanted substitute ect Today same thing, no beef chuck roast, ect. Multiple msgs which is really annoying when you're doing this for convenience. I'm a prime member and you still have to order 100.00 if you want free delivery. I'll stick with trader joe's and windows. Management needs to know how to order the advertised specials!

Nothing special here... just a Whole Foods redux and a novel money grab! Prices are super high on the same items you can get for half the price a few doors down at Walmart... As soon as the novelty wears off I expect this store will close down, likely in about two years... the samosas were delicious!

First experience was great. I loved the scan and go carts and staff were super friendly and helpful. I've seen a lot of reviews saying the prices are high but with my Amazon membership I thought they were fairly reasonable, especially with the coupons they offer.

The cart was very cool. You scan all your items and then by pass the check out line. Lot of sale items.

So expensive for no reason. Why do people have to pay more at Amazon fresh than they do at different stores. Ridiculous!!!!!!

This was my first time shopping at the store. Being fairly new it was clean, bright and felt appealing. I only needed one item and so I only tried looking casually around. Here is where the issue is with this store. It is like shopping at a Walmart. For every customer there was 2 or 3 employees. They were stocking shelves or filling orders and it was impossible to get through an aisle without having to say "Excuse me" numerous times. Then about half of those folks were either indifferent or downright rude. Lastly I watched about 5 people check out and every one had some type of issue with the supposed easy checkout. There is nothing here that will keep me from shopping where I have been. Finally, I believe that this business model is flawed, whether it's Amazon, Walmart or Safeway. Why would you put your employees and customers in each others way while they try to work or shop.

The prices on all items are pretty outrageous on the high side 100%. Right now it is Tuesday morning at 9 AM and the parking lot is empty but this is not the first time it seems like the pricing is scaring people away from the store which is too bad. Being right before the holidays it should be packed but it's not parking lot is practically empty and again very overpriced. For example, this bottle of wine at Sam's Club is under $17 a bottle and across the street at Smart and final the same. The store is gonna go under if pricing does not improve.

It was a great new experience for me. I love the self shopping carts and it was easy for me to navigate

Came here for a few items and mainly because I knew the hot food section would have some items and pizza that I enjoy and by 6:30PM there was no pizza..... it was old and nasty. Overheard dude say to a worker that he wasn't putting out anymore and was shutting down. What do you mean? It's 6pm? People just got off work and are shopping. That's BS

Nice addition to the area similar to Trader Joe's and Sprouts. Clean and well maintained. Get "club " pricing if you have an Amazon Prime account with your phone number at checkout. New location, you would expect well trained and helpful staff. Not the experience my wife and I had.

The front people are good, understanding and empathetic. Unfortunately, they've been short staffed on multiple occasions, which isn't necessarily their fault. The managers don't seem to do their jobs well, especially with balancing out where to put people. Lots of people stocking the store and not enough at the front unfortunately.

Been here a few times, and every time I go there's always some manager yelling at an employee. These poor kids look stressed out trying to hold down the front end all by themselves. Layla and Aubree have been the best help. I see them running a place like this. Overall, it's a little pricey but you get some good deals if you have Amazon prime. Store is always pretty clean, pizza isn't the best. I'd recommend a take and bake. 5/10. Management needs to be better. They're lucky they found at least two employees that actually care about customers.

Lately they continue to list item as available for delivery when in fact they are not. On 1/12/25, I ordered Christmas Candy that was on sale (Hershey Kisses Milk chocolate, Christmas Candy Bulk Bag, 39.52 oz.) on sale through Amazon Fresh for $4.08. I ordered 4 bags and was told that there was non in stock. I went back online and it has continued to be listed as available for this price through my local delivery from Amazon Fresh that day all the way up to this writing (1/14/2025). Either they don't update their inventory online or the people filling orders are lazy and just don't want to look for items. I also ordered 2 other holiday smaller bags and ran across the same issue, but on those the order filler failed to use my substitution on file and wrote that I had elected no substitution. I was so aggravated at this point that I tried to cancel the order and when that did not work, I refused to accept delivery of the order. Up until 3 months ago Amazon Fresh was my favorite grocery delivery APP. They always delivered the items I ordered from their site, and their produce was the best I could find. Amazon Fresh needs to get it together before I will trust them again with my money. I'm still trying to reconcile the 20+ transactions they made to my checking account for the last order.

Prices are way way too high! Not much help from the staff. Store looks nice and clean as it should. It's brand new.

If you aren't buying alcohol and want to use the smart carts this place is pretty good, but the stock is kept inconsistent which could just be learning the trends by management since it is new. The problem is the staff, no one wants to help customers, came in and there was no cashier for over 5 minutes, the person in line in front of me had to ask the Amazon return person for help, then the cashier came back while she was ringing the Amazon return person was ringing up the customer ahead of me and was extremely rude. Another time the self check lane had two registers down, all three working registers needed an associate and no one would come to help, the cashier just said someone would be there soon but didn't bother to call anyone to the front. I left the self check out line, grabbed a smart cart, scanned my items and checked out before anyone showed up. So to say the customer service is terrible is an understatement, there is literally 0 customer service, I don't know if it's that they are understaffed but the employees definitely do not care. This is not a single occurrence it is consistently poor service

Smaller selection than many grocery stores. Some organic, but not many. Very nice employees and clean.

Can't get the beef tenderloin or rib roast that's on sale. I've been in the store 7 straight days and they are always out with no explanation other than you can get a rain check at customer service.
