The Newest Amazon Go Store Is Open on First Hill | Eater Seattle
"I visited the new First Hill Amazon Go store at 1122 Madison St., a high-tech, cashless convenience store where shoppers scan their smartphone on entry and items are added to a virtual cart as they’re removed from the shelves; the store then charges shoppers’ Amazon accounts through the Amazon Go app. The checkout-free process can feel somewhat like shoplifting and often sows confusion among the uninitiated. The store carries options such as prepared and frozen food, sandwiches, grocery staples, and Amazon Meal Kits, and is part of a small network that began with the world’s first Amazon Go in Denny Triangle in January 2018 and now includes five Seattle locations (one in the Macy’s Building with restricted access) plus stores in Chicago, San Francisco, and New York." - Megan Hill
Picked up a salad on my way to work and noticed right after walking out that it was moldy. This is a very convenient location but I wish they were open on evenings and weekends.

I’ve never been more uncomfortable walking out of the store feeling like I haven’t paid. LOL the fact that it was so easy to walk in and grab what I wanted and walk out knowing I had already paid for it, is amazing. Let’s face it, this is the future of shopping. At some point there won’t even be human beings there to restock the shelves robots will be doing it. I this is shopping simple the food choices are good. I chose a Vietnamese style salad today which is pretty big considering the price. There was a gentleman there stocking the shelves named Christopher that handed myself and my coworker a chocolate candy bar and welcomed us into the store. We probably stick out like sore thumbs first timers. I think it’s pretty cool to be able to use your phone to walk into a Store and you don’t even have to ring things up. Simple. Efficient. AI technology. Mark Bezos has the game sold up

Nothing redeeming for this location. Best part is Amazon makes returns more difficult and with the whole foods closed this is the only place ... Super smart to CLOSE IT ON THE WEEKENDS. Amazons benefits are dwindling. So over it.

Google Maps shows this location as open, but it is actually closed all day today. Please update your online hours, rather than relying solely on a sign on the door.

Update: 9/1 this store is getting worse by the day. They now have armed security at the front who are very aggressive and unwelcoming. Also they now have limited their hours even further. This store is on the decline for sure…..sad just sad.
The hours don’t match the area. Two building with tons of people off Saturday and Sunday and they are closed those days.
I go to work near by Saturday and I hate on that day I can’t get my favorite items and have to go to bartells across the steeet.

It’s a great place to shop, when it’s open …
What’s the point of fancy automated storefront if it’s closed nights and weekends??

Open despite the construction and wow, very convenient. It was weird being part of the future. 😄 My first time ever and one of the two staff members I saw, was patient, kind, and helpful.
