Ambassade Hotel

Stayed here with my Mum for business. The staff were so friendly and professional from the very start to the very end of our stay. We both felt very welcomed. The surroundings are elegant and fresh. The room was spotless and quite large, with a lovely rain shower in the bathroom and a double sink. There are plenty of lovely lounge style areas in the communal areas of the hotel to relax too. The staff are always willing to help. The location is excellent, it was easy to walk to all the different sights we wanted to see in Amsterdam and to get there from the train station. If I would recommend any improvements (it's really minor) I would just say the hair dryer isn't very powerful and could be better. But that's all! Everything else was absolutely perfect and I hope to visit again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

This hotel is the best I’ve ever visited. The reception staff are really helpful, as soon as we arrived they asked our reason for stay & showed us a map marking places to visit. We were also shown up to our room. Rooms were spotless, lovely underfloor heating in the bathroom. Great mini bar plus tv. The attention to detail is like no other. You’re certainly treated really special. Breakfast is amazing everything you could possibly need & yet again staff excel. Really friendly service from everyone with a smile. The waitress knew it was my partner’s birthday a birthday plate was taken to our room with a bottle of sparkle. Was a lovely surprise when we came back in the evening. Everyone single on of you have absolutely made our little break away truly a memorable experience we will never forget. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts to you all.

Gorgeous hotel nestled along the canals of Amsterdam, a ten- to fifteen- minute walk to all of our excursions. The hotel was soup to nuts accommodating, from the way they whisked us in from the rain, handling all of our luggage to booking tickets and cabs and even managed to find a location based on a picture I was carrying. All day, every day, the staff was friendly and informative. ||Room along the canal is ideal, between the heated bathroom floors and cool breezes, we were in heaven. Room service super quick, and mini bar of snacks much needed for middle of the night low blood sugars. I could spend all day admiring the art and books and play the games in the library bar. Grabbed a fancy French lunch in the hotel on the first day, and it was impressive. Everything about this hotel is luxurious, without any pomp and circumstance.

Great location at the heart of the canals ring and nine streets and walking distance from Centraal train station .Clever restoration and conversion of typical historic gabled houses. Well appointed, comfortable rooms and good use of space. Hotel staff are really friendly, courteous and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and they will book tickets for you. Excellent bar in library serving great draft beers and wines by the glass. Try the Bitterballen for a tasty, filling snack with your drink. Brasserie expensive so did not eat there but there are plenty of options nearby. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Fabulous 4 night stay in a Superior Deluxe room (51) overlooking the canal. Extremely comfortable bed and bedding. Lovely big bathroom. Really easy to control temperature of the room with radiators, opening windows or air conditioning. Delicious breakfast served by delightful staff. Highly recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed our short break in this fabulous hotel. Our room was full of character and welcoming with super comfy large bed and a great bathroom.|The staff were all so friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. The buffet breakfast was delicious as were the eggs/crepes cooked to order.|Hotel is nicely located in a lovely neighbourhood with most attractions a casual stroll away. Perfect!

Not only is this gem of a hotel a ten minute walk from the best places in Amsterdam, but it is itself one of the best places in Amsterdam. From the moment we pulled up, we were treated like royalty (even with our rough NY accents). I came for the book collection, but we fell in love with the art, games, restaurant, heated bathroom floors, cool canal breezes, and overall best hospitality in the world. Thanks especially to our favorite guy, Zdenek, who found the exact spot my brother visited in five minutes flat using a blurry photo.

Wonderfull service in a cosy restaurant . Enough space to feel private and have big fun among eachother. The menu is a promising shortlist , with the right choices ( thanks to the very polite service) we had a more then marvelous evening . Thank you kitchen staff for the respect to food you presented on our plates .
