"Amelia’s offers brunch every day, a $20 lobsterfest on Mondays, and a very long dinner menu of tapas like duck confit arancini, and entrees like lobster ravioli in saffron cream sauce or Peruvian skirt steak with mashed yucca and plantains. Keep it in mind for all types of last-minute dining situations, including when you’re looking for vegan, vegetarian, or gluten-free options. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Delicious food and super amazing, friendly service. Great vibes inside or out but we loved taking advantage of their beautiful outside space! We loved the cocktails including the espresso martini and exploring this menu — gotta get their chicken sandwich.

Everything was perfect. The food was beautifully presented, interesting, and delicious. I started with a mock cocktail. I wish mock cocktails tasted so good: refreshing and not sweet. A grownup drink, without the alcohol. My husband and I also shared a wine flight which was fun. We started with the baked oysters, which were excellent. Oysters were tender and the sauce was wonderful. The chickpeas at every table with bread was a nice touch: it comes with a mortar and pestle if you'd like to grind up the chickpeas to spread on the bread. My husband had a perfectly cooked sea bass and I had a unique and delicious Japanese eggplant. We shared a homemade desert. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual but still feels sophisticated and fun. It is not stuffy. The hostess was immediately friendly as was our waiter. Prices are excellent. We'll be back even though it's out of our usual neighborhood (sadly).

We had brunch on a Sunday in February. We were a party of 15 with reservations and it seemed as though they were not prepared for us. It took over 30 minutes for us to get our drinks and then our food order was taken. The food did come out rather quickly but some of it was warm and not hot. The manager replaced our initial waiter which helped speed up the service. The restaurant was also a little crowded so it was hard for everyone to get around. The food was tasty. We had chicken and waffles, apple sausage gravy and biscuits and gaucho eggs. They also had good options for mimosas and bloody marys.

The food was salty and the service was very slow (nice and friendly though!). We tried the fixed menu for the restaurant week, don’t do that mistake!

We picked Amelia’s for a weekend dinner. The restaurant was not very full, we got a table for four right away. Lovely exterior and interior. The menu is pretty good, lots of variety. They bring you raw hummus, that you smash and crush to make the paste. The virgin mojito was excellent drink. Food wise loved the roasted tomato flatbread. It was full of cheese, very well cooked. Loved the crispy chicken burger. They made it a mouthwatering combo with coleslaw and sauces on top of a nicely cooked giant piece of fried chicken. Ragu de funghi amd classic bistro burger were also good dishes. We had a wonderful dinner overall. Didn’t have to wait long to get our food. Service was pretty nice, friendly staff.

The foods: Fresh DIY hummus: it may be complementary with each table. they give you a mortar and pestle filled with chick peas with their recipe ready to be crushed along with some fresh rolls. I definitely enjoyed making my own hummus. Apps: Guac & Chips and Calamari were delicious and fresh! I’m usually pretty particular about the flavors for both apps and to nail a GOOD guacamole AND calamari was already impressive. Drinks: Peach, Mango and Frosted Rosemary + Sorel Margaritas were all very good, Frosted Rosemary being my favorite of the three. Flatbread with Potato, fresh ricotta and bacon was flavorful and the cheese was basically melting with each bite. Fajita Tuesday, I ordered the Carne Asada type fajita and of course you expect a good portion for the meal, and I received a FULL plate. Overall delicious, and although the steak was a little tough, it wasn’t unbearable and once you have it combined with the salsa and sour cream and beans, it softens up. I came here on a Tuesday evening after randomly choosing this restaurant based on the menu options. It was a quiet and intimate setting, spacious seating, and they offer a variety of specials throughout the week including Live Jazz on Thursday nights (will come back for that). The servers were polite and attentive, seated us promptly and gave us a few minutes to review the menu before taking our order. Our waitress recommended excellent options and the bartender of the night was on point with the margarita ingredient proportions (not overly sour/sweet). I was happy with my experience overall and will be returning on a different night to see what the vibes are throughout the week.

Drove up to Jersey City to spend the day with family and Amelia’s was able to seat our party of seven right away for brunch. We found street parking and were greeted by a very welcoming and friendly staff. Clean restaurant and diverse crowd with a good mix of different races and ages. Our server Jared was very nice and attentive especially tending to a large group. Our food came out hot and all together. We enjoyed the warm cornbread muffins, Ginger Mango Chicken and Kung Pao Cauliflower appetizers, and I recommend the Shrimp & Grits. We also ordered a mimosa pitcher that all seven of us were able to share. At the conclusion of the meal the manager stopped by to ask us how our meal was which I thought was a nice touch. I would recommend Amelia’s. I’m not a foodie, but felt the service, setting and food matched the price. It’s not top shelf posh, but you’re also not paying for top shelf either (especially considering you’re right outside of NYC) and the staff and chefs really work to make it a good experience from start to finish.

This place is small and overpacked for Sunday brunch which made it a bit noisy. The mimosa was great. I ordered spinach and feta omelette. There was a hair in my plate which was unfortunate because i lost my appetite right away.
