"A local favorite, downtown Hillsboro’s Amelia’s, aka Amelia’s Exquisite Mexican Food, has been serving traditional fare from regions across Mexico since 2007. The family-run restaurant with cheery brick red and saffron walls offers a legendary loco burrito, a two-pound behemoth bursting at the seams and drenched in mild green tomatillo salsa. The menu has been pared down since the pandemic started, but visitors will still find tostadas topped with stewed tinga, vegetarian huaraches, and ever-popular quesabirria, as well as more substantial dishes like Yucatecan cochinita pibil, mole poblano, and multiple dishes featuring flatiron steak." - Krista Garcia, Janey Wong

Great food. Walked in, no wait time to be seated, fast service. Ordered the street taco plate with 3 tacos, beans, and rice. Everything was awesome

Google
this food is the best thing I’ve ever eaten since I’ve moved to Oregon. I was leaving my daughter’s doctor appointment right across the street and I saw this place and decided to check it out because I’m from the East Coast and I haven’t found a good Mexican restaurant since I’ve been here. The woman who took my order was so kind and patient and recommended the pazole. I got the pork pazole & the birria with a side of rice. they do not skimp on the food. The portions are just right. I will definitely be returning with my whole family.

Been looking forward to trying this place as we read and heard good reviews. Sadly we had poor service, food was low quality and given the wrong meat in tacos. Mexican coke cost $5 for the small bottle. They attach a fee to each menu item, I guess for using a debit card?? Ordered tacos from the happy menu but they were made with the wrong meat, I didn't care for the taste I only ate part of one. Asked for a box thinking ill just take it home to hubby but waiter told me they don't allow happy hour food to go but since they put wrong meat in tacos he'd let me take it home this time. He did offer to make them right but we were all done and ready to go. Never checked on us throughout the meal so was never able to ask about the meat. We had to go looking for him to get the check. Overall a very disappointing experience. Restaurant atmosphere was nice and it looked clean though.

Google
Fantastic food. We tried several things. We ordered a couple of extra items just to try them. I love their hand-made corn tortillas, which were great paired with anything. If you haven't eaten here yet, you have to try it.

Google
During our visit to see family in the neighborhood, we stumbled upon this restaurant. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and the staff can speak limited English but are friendly. The food was quite satisfactory, especially the chicken soup, and I was impressed to see fellow diners eat a two-pound burrito. However, I think it's important for them to list the price of the large margarita on the menu, as we were surprised by the additional cost at the end of the meal. One nice aspect of the restaurant is that even when dining with a group, everyone can pay separately. Overall, it's an excellent spot for lunch.

Google
Excellent food. Many vegetarian options and all taste amazing. I also like the simple setup of this place. Staff was great.

Google
SO GOOD! The corn tortillas were to die for. And the meat. And giant mezcal margaritas. Everything ruled! Would go back for sure.

Google
Such yummy Mexican food in a cute restaurant in downtown Hillsboro. We went on a Monday so I wasn’t fully ready for a margarita, but their michelada was delicious and refreshing. They have so many options on their menu I guarantee they will have something to satisfy your cravings. We got the choriqueso appetizer, enchiladas verdes and cochinita pibil. All very yummy and very affordable!

Joe M.

Yelp
Awesome service, food was amazing. Service was beyond amazing. Jamie gave a great experience. Would be coming here again!

Yelp
Fairly certain this is my new favorite Mexican restaurant after swinging by earlier this week. Restaurant & Staff: The inside is nothing fancy, but it doesn't need to be! It's clean and basic, but comfortable. The staff were friendly but it did seem there were times they were a little understaffed as it took a while before you'd see someone. Food: We ordered the choriqueso for the table. I like that it came with tortillas instead of chips (though we did enjoy chips and salsa as well!). The tortillas here are homemade and out of this world. My sister's boyfriend ordered the enchiladas en Mole and loved them, even day two. Portions here are huge! The cochinita pibil and carne arrachera are both great. Again, great portions. The cochinita pibil was cooked perfectly and the meat was not too dry at all, which is sometimes an issue with this dish. The habanero sauce it comes with is SPICY, and amazing. I'd put that on everything. The carne arrachera was cooked perfectly and was garlicky. Drinks: The margarita my sister ordered was massive. She liked it, but was the only one to order a drink at the table.

Yelp
I live on the MAX line in Gresham and have had to travel 1.5 hours to Hillsboro several times lately. Amelia's was highly recommended to me, so I've made a point to have lunch there several times recently. The food is fresh and with good portions. I would call it traditional California style Mexican food. Nothing terribly exciting or challenging. Pleasent and fresh. 4 star food, 3 star service. The first visit was fine, decent service, good food, in, out, and full. A nice quick lunch. My second visit was after lunch hour. The place was half full, not too busy. I was seated at a table in the bar that had the AC blowing directly on me. When I asked for a less windy spot, I was placed in the back. OK. Lunch was good and an attentive staff. My last visit, however, was somewhat different. A hot day at 2:30. I was the second table and was seated quickly. The waiter took a long time to greet me. No biggie. I ordered beer and tamales. I was so thirsty on a hot afternoon, and my beer never came, and I could not get the waiter's attention. After lunch was delivered, I asked again if I could get the beer. Whew! Then billing was slow. And paying was slow. I just felt that a mid-afternoon customer should get a glance once in a while. Not bad service, just very little service. Maybe if I was a group and not single... Amelia's seems like a solid neighborhood haunt. I don't think I crave it enough to seek them out and travel over in an hour to eat there, but if I'm in the neighborhood and want tamales, I'll be back.

Yelp
We were looking forward to trying Amelia's after several recommendations. Walked into an empty restaurant during lunch on a Wednesday. Ordered drinks which included a guava margarita. While it was tasty, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw they charged us almost 18 dollars for it! The food was not authentic. The fish tacos were mostly veggies and the small piece of fried fish was bland. We won't return. At almost 200 dollars with tip, there are way better places to eat around town.

Iris L.

Yelp
came for lunch, lots of people but quick service large portions and good pricing enchiladas is what a lot of people ordered and I got the queso one and a bit disappointed the cheese wasn't melted all the way inside and tasted not as warm in temperature server kept messing up the checks, rang up someone's debit card for our check and then gave us receipt to sign. We told server wrong card was charged but then we were still charged wrong amount (the other tables order), finally 3rd time went up to the front to explain situation x 2 that all charges needed to get reversed first, then proceed to charging the right order to the right table and to the right card. This took much longer than expected and no, not a barrier in communications, just seemed like too rushed to catch the mistake and even then a bit impatient to make corrections. Nonetheless, the pricing for the meal and portion size was justified, quality however was a bit disappointing, would have given higher review if not for the complicated billing issue and how it took multiple attempts to adjust. We were handed receipt billed someone's card twice and felt that was unrighteousness to have not corrected. Unsure if the other table got their card reversed then billed again, hopefully it all worked out as they were no longer present.

Yelp
I tried the Quesoburria Taco Plate. This is absolutely DELICIOUS! The masa taco shell is hand-made much like authentic ones I had once in Guatemala. They then fry them making them toasty and delicious. Filled with cheese and pulled beef. The mug contains a chili pozole they call consume but really is a delicious soup on its own. You can either dip your taco in it or sip it along with the meal. Great fast service.

Yelp
I can't state emphatically enough how pleased I am that Amelia's did what was necessary to survive the pandemic. From revising and tweaking its delivery menu to reassessing the purpose of each of its locations, the owners and staff at Amelia's have done a fantastic job of adapting to a changing climate while preserving the menu and feel of Amelia's. Having a full alcohol menu at both locations is a plus, but so is paring down the menu at Exquisite so that classics like the choriqueso appetizer, carne arrachera, cochinita pibil and bistek arriero are surrounded by smaller, more modular antojitos and grander platos that provide a broad sampling of the full menu. With the temporary cart pod now gone, Amelia's has set up some of the most impressive outdoor seating on Main Street while freeing up space in the dining room--which is still cozy at twice its original size. Enchiladas mole by the window during a cold, rainy day is still one of my favorite Hillsboro experiences. Why you'd want to ruin it by throwing down with the wait staff over sour cream (P.S. What are you, a toddler? Did you order a grilled cheese, too?) or grousing over restaurant features you clearly know all too well at this point from your regular seat by the bathroom (Which you seem to be bringing on yourself), I have no idea. Despite Washington County having a thriving, multigenerational, multiregional Mexican community, there's a persistently miserable element here that likes to treat every visit to a Mexican restaurant as if they're at some strip-mall outpost of On the Border in Wisconsin. That they routinely complain about parking in a downtown that has nothing but available spaces is unsurprising: At some point, junk food turns those who eat it into junk people. Let the one-star squadron enjoy the ample parking and abundant table space at the Chevy's Fresh Mex of their choosing. When they're ready to value regional cuisine prepared daily by staff that's been producing it at high quality for years and never has to boil a meal in a bag or lower itself to serving sour-cream supermarket tacos in Old El Paso shells, Amelia's will be there for them. Until then, I appreciate Amelia's efforts and love that continues to live up to its reputation--especially among those of us seated at the adults' table.

Yelp
So far, this has been the top Mexican restaurants I have been to in Hillsboro! The portion size is large and food has great flavor. I got the enchiladas verdes with chicken, which were awesome! My father got the tacos which he also really enjoyed. The service was fast and the staff were all really friendly. I would definitely return!

Audra E.

Yelp
I've been to Amelia's twice once for dinner drinks with the girls and once for lunch with my mother and son. I love their location in downtown Hillsboro. The servive, food and drinks were great. Would definitely return and recommend to others.

Symone M.

Yelp
I don't know if they have something against people who eat by themselves but they will ignore you and seat you near the bathroom or at a dirty table. They separate the rice and beans and up-charge you. I have never been to a Mexican restaurant where if I order tacos or enchiladas that's I have to pay extra for rice and beans EACH. The salsa tastes store bought. They take forever to pick up the check. The parking lot to their location is tiny and oddly shaped if people aren't extra careful you might side swipe someone. They are cheap with the limes they always give the tiniest wedges. Hate this place-

Kailani S.

Yelp
Nice and clean. Service was good, we ordered to-go. The food was good, but nothing out of this world great. Giving it 4 stars because it tasted no different than any other place we have tried. We ordered carnitas tacos and the loco burrito. I do love their red sauce, very tasty.

Yelp
Something just happened to this place and it is Amazing, Beautiful, and Spectacular! I've been here a few times over the past several years (surprised I haven't left a review) and I've always thought of this as a place with good (just good) food and a bit divey (I'm in the mood for divey every once in a while) But something happened to this place recently (ok I haven't been here for a while) that is all good in all the ways. The food is spectacular! Just look at my recent photo of the Burrito Bowl. Isn't that Amazing?! And it tastes even better than it looks. It is so rich in flavor, texture, and color. The chicken and guac are simply heaven on earth. I can die in peace now :) The portion size is huge, the food quality is excellent, and the price is cheap. Who does that?! Regarding drinks, I've had the house Margarita and the Cadillac Margarita here and they are legit. They're not the giant monstrosities of ice in a globe that some places serve. Just an honest mix of flavor with a respectable punch and pleasing garnish. Delightful. It also looks like they spruced up the place a bit. And I loved the music! Could have stayed there all night. It's definitely not divey any more. I'd just say it's a simple, honest place full of exceptional food. Just like my favorite spots in PDX. So if you haven't visited Amelia's before, you MUST! And if you weren't impressed after your last visit, you owe it to yourself to come back. Salud!

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch with friends after an event in Hillsboro. The staff was very friendly and quickly accommodated our party of six. Their menu has a nice variety of selections with good descriptions. I shared the Plata de Amelia with my sister, my daughter shared the Chicken nachos with her cousin, and our granddaughters had the Guacamole appetizer and Quesadilla. Everything was delicious and plentiful, especially the Guacamole appetizer. We even brought home some leftovers. We will definitely be back.

Kari K.

Yelp
It had been a few months, but I recall this food as wonderful . Last night was anything but. I was excited to revisit the creamy beans, but the first bite revealed a smokey burnt flavor . On to the chicken... which was so dry i could not chew or cut it. Entire meal went in trash . Will not be backUPDATE: TYPICALLY GREAT FOOD. I RAISED RATING TO 3 STARS FROM 2....

Karishma A.

Yelp
**vegetarian review** Amelia is quite vegetarian friendly. I got the tamal and chile rellano to go. It came with fresh corn tortillas which were awesome!! Tamale was very flavourful as well. I liked that it's also present on the ala cart menu so you can get a side if you want (which I did) The chile relleno is quite nice as well. It had no cheese which I loved. Everything was well spiced and the order was ready within 10 mins. I'll definitely order back to try the nachos next time!

Pam J.

Yelp
Fresh food, friendly service! We were too hungry to post pictures! Everything we ate was excellent, large portions served with a smile. I especially enjoyed the chili rellenos.

Natasha K.

Yelp
Food is unbelievably delicious and worth the visit every time! Starting with the complimentary chips that are lightly salted and the homemade salsa which was chunky and delicious. However, the salsa was a bit too salty for my liking. The quesadilla was amazing. The beef was tender and flavorful, greasy but any good Mexican food has to have some grease. The chorizo con huevos was also pretty good but a little bit deceiving. I'm currently doing keto so I was under the impression I was getting eggs and chorizo. I ended up getting eggs mixed with chorizo, a HUGE side of rice and two tortillas. Lots of food that ended up being wasted and that wasn't mentioned in the menu. So why the 4 stars instead of 5? DETAILS. The restaurant was FREEZING. A massive draft that kept us shivering while eating. When we went on a Saturday at noon, only one person was working so service was a bit slow. Lastly, we requested double rice and no beans with the quesadilla but ended up with a big ol bowl of beans. Overall, the food was incredible so we will definitely be back!

Jennifer P.

Yelp
Lots of delicious varieties on the menu. Authentic cuisine . Great service. Great location. Lots of seating.

Tasha S.

Yelp
Honestly no I wouldn't recommend for the majority of people. It's not exactly clean to my standards. I would also say the tables are few the space is tiny compared to the building size. Parking is not easy. The food was edible & ok but their version of sour cream was gross. And the food was more on the dry side not much sauce not much flavor. The food just needed something to dip it in or more of something with the food itself. The rice I've had far better elsewhere. I would not say it's the worst Mexican food I've ever had but I also didn't appreciate the staffs attitude problems. I understand that many cultures & people have feelings about sour cream and Mexican food but I as the customer I like my food a certain way. I'm paying you to get to eat the food it's not like it was given away for free. If it was free than I would value your opinion in what I eat & wouldn't complain. But when I ask your staff for an item in which I am fully paying for I don't appreciate a clap back attitude. It's not a tit for tat. It's not a discussion nor a debate. It's simply yes or no you do or don't have said item. It's not you wait to bring me the item when I'm nearly done with the food in an attempt to control me. It's aggressive and toxic. It also means I'm eating your food cold because I'm waiting so now I'm not experiencing your restaurant in the best way. It also means as a customer now that your behaving in a negative way I am no longer going to feel like I need to behave respectfully towards you either. So you now have a situation in which everything has fallen apart. And that being my first attempt at your eatery it makes it my last.

Yelp
Review Update: I worked directly with Benjamin and the issue has been resolved. Management investigated my concern in a timely manner, and they believe there was a bad batch of avocados. I was issued a check for the total I spent and received a gift card to use later. I was told the staff that normally works, was pulled for a catering event. Benjamin went above and beyond to make the issue right and was kind throughout the whole process. Based on my experience with him, I believe they have a wonderful staff, and the temporary staff onsite was not how they normally operate. I look forward to using my gift card later. Thank you for taking ownership of your error and making a horrible situation a lot better.

Timothy P.

Yelp
I heard so much about this place, I had to try it. It's good food with very generous helpings. I don't go to downtown Hillsboro much anymore. So it's been a while.

Patty G.

Yelp
We ordered food to go and when we got there both orders were completely wrong and they argued with us on what they were supposed to be and when we opened them up the food was all mixed up and Was inedible and then they billed me twice for it and it took me two weeks to get it straightened out they wouldn't let me speak to a manager and nobody ever called me back I had to put a stop payment with the bank I would NEVER go back

Shari Y.

Yelp
I stopped into Amelia's on the recommendation of a friend who directed me for "Great Mexican Food." The food was meh, the service and ambiance were pleasant. The Margarita was spot on. This is not the place for great Mexican food. If you're looking for chips and a Margarita in a cute place, this could be your go to place.

Selina S.

Yelp
I am extremely satisfied with how the owner of the company took my initial complaint SO seriously and completely made everything right. I am willing to go back and try again, ONLY because of how graciously and seriously this was taken. I now understand why Amelia's has such a great reputation.

Helen N.

Yelp
Amelia's has two great locations in Hillsboro, the one we go to is the original and is in downtown right across from Bag & Baggage Productions', The Vault Theatre. Great location for dinner & Theatre. Both venues are great! Amelia's food is excellent and authentic with choices for vegetarians, folks looking for seafood, and certainly all the usual options. The verde sauces are exceptional as are the mole sauces. Definitely worth a try when you are in downtown Hillsboro. We have friends that drive over from Mt Tabor area in SE Portland regularly to eat at this authentic Mexican restaurant! Also, I failed to mention that the service is excellent and the servers friendly & welcoming.

Kukui T.

Yelp
Truly homemade mole and tender pollo for 10$ is an absolute home run. Really really loved the burrito.

Michele C.

Yelp
I use to really like it and came often. I had a bad experience with the tamales once and found myself enjoying this place less and came less frequent afterwards. One tamale was definitely expired, smelled really bad. Overall service was good tho.

Paula C.

Yelp
Love this place! Nice sized portions, tasty and filling. We have eaten there many times and have never been disappointed with any of our selections. Pleasant staff and quick service. Take out or dine in..gotta try!

Aislin S.

Yelp
Amelia's is some of the best Mexican food in Hillsboro! The food is delicious and you can really taste the freshness (the avocado is always perfectly ripe). It's also vegetarian and vegan friendly! The prices are great for the quality and portions, and the service is very good. We also enjoy their margaritas and other alcoholic drinks. Highly recommend!

Benay K.

Yelp
**Not exactly sure why the restaurant felt the need to explain my review for me-I think it is pretty self explanatory. But in case there was some uncertainty about my review: 1) Service 'ok'. Should have been better 2) I ordered the vegan cactus dish-thought is was terrible. There was most likely nothing 'wrong' with it other than it tasting awful to me and my daughter both (BTW-I have since had this dish prepared for me by one of Mexican friends who read the review and wanted me to taste how it SHOULD be prepared-and I LOVED how she made it). 3) My daughter ordered the soup-and thought is was 'ok' but extremely spicy and otherwise lacked flavor 4) My meal was essentially untouched when the waiter came back to the table (finally) 5) Waiter saw I did not eat my meal- offered to wrap it and I told him "No, I did not like it at all" and did not want to bring it home 6) There was ZERO interest in making our eating experience better 7) I was privately contacted by the establishment-whom I told I did not want anything - that the time to make up for this was at the time of my meal and not now-my review is my opinion of my experience (and I will not change it). 8) Although I visit this town often-I will not be coming back to this restaurant again- poor food taste, meh service and abysmal follow up from management. Having had this private exchange and the following ridiculous follow up *update* from the manager, essentially 'mansplaining' my review, has now reduced my experience to an even lower opinion of this establishment. A serious "Holy cow, that was handled terrible" is why I reduced the review from a 2 to a 1 star

Guadalupe G.

Yelp
Since moving to Oregon from Cali the food scene has definitely been missed. But thanks to my brother who is a Hillsboro resident we got to try this lil gem!!! We are about a 45 min drive to here but we make it in at least twice a month!! The fish tacos are my favorite!!! But the Mole is so good!! The taquitos yummm!!!! The horchata so good the drinks from the bar never disappoint. Definitely a must try!!!

Ivan D.

Yelp
The reviews that are posted definitely do NOT represent the true authentic Mexican flavors, if I had one positive thing to say was that they made the tortillas in house.

Kim R.

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick dinner last weekend. We opted for the chicken street tacos and margaritas from the happy hour menu, as well as enchiladas and guacamole. We are from San Diego, and have pretty high expectations for Mexican cuisine! The flavor of the cream enchilada sauce was quite good, as was the guacamole. The street tacos were a bit heavy on spice and raw onion but tasted pretty good. I will say the $5 margs were strong enough for sure, just not the best mix. Overall a fine first visit. The service was very friendly and fast and the location good. We will plan to go back and try more menu items.

Bill A.

Yelp
Everything was good. Ordered an appetizer which was tasty, and the entrees were good size and tasty as well. The place was clean, and we were seated right away. This is a small restaurant, but we didn't feel crowded. My wife and I will come again to sample more of what they have to offer.

Kourtney E.

Yelp
This is the best Mexican restaurant in this area by far. Food is so fresh and the quality is undefeated. We always enjoy it--the presentation is spot on, chips and salsa are tasty, and the service is good. You definitely get what you pay for here.

Melissa S.

Yelp
They never disappoint, love this place! I wish they were open longer, but I understand as I work in a restaurant and good help is hard to come by. I have enjoyed every dish that I've had there.

Jae B.

Yelp
Their service is great. That is why I give it four stars. In terms of food though, I wasn't impressed. It was decent but I know I've ordered (enchiladas en mole) at other places before and other places have been able to recreate the Mexican dish a lot better. I don't want to throw a lot of shade/hate at Amelia's. It was good but for me it was meh

Phyllis S.

Yelp
Still AMAZING! We've been eating at Amelia's for over six years. Their food is so flavour full! Excellent service! I'm seriously surprised how awesome the service is with indoor and outdoor options. Everything is fresh, crisp, and perfectly what I asked for! We've never had a bad experience at Amelia's! You won't either! Come hungry!!

Dahlia C.

Yelp
UPDATE 9/19: Benjamin reached out to me after my previous experience to discuss the situation. Clearly, it was a mistake on my part that I did not let the server or manager know that I wasn't satisfied with my Huarache, otherwise they would have replaced or refunded my meal. Apparently, they do make their customers a priority and are willing to do the best to make sure they are satisfied. Due to their prompt and courteous effort to rectify this, I've changed the rating from a 3-star to 4-stars to reflect my appreciation of their customer service. And of course, I'm still a fan of Amelia's. ******************** 9/18 Amelia's has always been one of my favorite spots for Mexican food and although most of my visits have been excellent, today was a bit disappointing. Customer service was wonderful as always and although it was busy when we came during lunch, we were seated right away. My husband and son both enjoyed their food, but sadly, I didn't. Ive been a fan of their Huarache with Al Pastor, which is almost like a flatbread pizza except made with masa dough. It's the only thing I ever get when we come here which I was looking forward to because it's been awhile. In the past that I've ordered, the dough was dense and chewy, but crispy on the edges. Today it was like hard cardboard that I barely could cut through with a knife. And as I took one bite, it made my teeth hurt just trying to chew it. So instead, I scraped the toppings off and just ate it with chips. It was so sad. I hope that whatever happened today was just a random miss. It doesn't mean I won't ever come back, but hopefully it won't happen again because I love their food.

Miguel E.

Yelp
The enchilada de moles are the best, the server the only one is very helpful Will definitely keep coming

Gina R.

Yelp
The food is always fantastic. I especially love their margaritas. This is a family owned business and it's an authentic Mexican restaurant.

Jon W.

Yelp
I love this place it is the most authentic place around. I especially like the fact they deliver thru Uber eats and the cheese enchiladas are amazing .. With the delivered tacos again but I guess currently they have a limited menu A++++++

Jeffrey O.

Yelp
Very good authentic recipes. Homemade tortillas. I ordered the lamb shank and it was succulent and tender. Pretty amazing

Ev B.

Yelp
This is Mexican food but not! I nice twist- delicious. The dinning area is nothing special but clean. The staff was friendly but it seemed only 1 person was taking table orders so it was a bit slow. Would I go again? Yes, and we have.

Patty J.

Yelp
Authentic Mexican food, one of the best in Hillsboro Xavier is the best waiter at the

Bilbo B.

Yelp
I drive by here all the time and decided to stop in on a whim and give it a whirl. I'm really glad I did! Honestly, I wasn't expecting the food to be as good as it was. Mole is my jam and I was very curious as to how their Mole Poblano stacked up. Well, it stacked up just fine! Just the right amount of chocolate and heat, great flavor and really fair price. Service was good, decor was tasteful and clean and outdoor seating for good weather. The platters were really cool, definitely a rustic touch. I also learned they have a food cart at Pioneer Square downtown. I am excited to try their birrias next time. Great job!

Jessica M.

Yelp
Really good margaritas and great prices. Love to support locally owned family businesses.

Karissa L.

Yelp
(Also posted on Google maps) The Enchiladas Verdes plate, and Fish Taco that I got ala carta were SO good! I am from Southern California, and I know good Mexican food, and have been so missing it since I moved up here 6 years ago. Eating here was like eating authentic Mexican food. There wasn't a single bit of the food that I didn't love. The beans were AMAZING, the enchiladas we just like my Mexican friends' mother makes, and the rice was downright tasty. I only got the fish taco as an add-on because I am never quite sure if I'll like a restaurant's version of a fish taco. But it was fantastic as well! The only minor note would be that I couldn't fully hold it like a taco because it was so filled. But I mean, that's not really a bad thing. It was yummy and messy, and enjoyable to eat. Also, I normally eat half of the food when I dine out, and save the rest for leftovers, but that did NOT happen this time. I just didn't want to stop eating! And now I am so full (my food baby ) 10 out of 10 I would happily go here again, and even recommend it to anyone that asks!

Yelp
I put my grubhub order in before they opened, and it was ready for pickup 5 minutes after opening! Super speedy and I was able to make it back to my meeting on time. (Sorry, it was a company-paid lunch so I needed to go through Grubhub.) The food was great as usual. Thanks!

Yelp
I typically LOVE Amelia's! I am surprised I haven't left a review before now... I've been here quite a few times... but today was very disappointing. Taco Tuesday, amiright? Well... today, the tacos had one small teaspoon of meat each. And apparently they took away the salsa and tortilla before the meal... after the tacos, I was still hungry - so I ordered a happy hour burrito, and that was additionally disappointing. The tortilla had a hole in it, and it wasn't wrapped - so everything literally fell out. I ended up eating the insides with a fork. The flavors of everything were good, but the quality this time left much to be desired. The margaritas were good, and service was good. But don't do an ongoing special that isn't worth it. I would have happily gone down the street and paid a little more for a taco that was a better value. I hope Amelia's can get back to the place I used to love.
