"If grab-and-go items like siopao, siu mai, empanadas, and foot-long turon are what you’re after, Vermont Avenue’s Mga Lutong Bahay is a must. The Filipino grocer has become an East Hollywood essential for numerous reasons: First, it’s located right next to LACC and a Red Line train stop. Second, the store accepts EBT — even for hot food items. Apart from grab-and-go snacks, the hot bar also offers well-made entrees like ginataang gulay (vegetables in a coconut curry sauce), fried shrimp, and picadillo." - Emily Joy Meneses, Eater Staff

Google
Parking is horrible to begin with. It was my first time buying prepared meals here. I was shocked at how expensive they were. I should have known, no prices posted. $12 for a slice of salmon $14 for a little container of fried pork. Whoa this is gourmet pricing for basically cafeteria food. And customer service is definitely not great either; the lady at the register kept talking to someone else while I was at her counter, barely acknowledged me despite my trying to be courteous saying hello and thank you. Such a shame.

Google
I like their foods. They don't have a good exhaust and if you stay inside for more than 10 minutes you will smell like a Filipino food. Parking is a big problem here because the parking area is small and it's always full.

Chris Flores

Google
The food I ordered was good. A bit pricey for lunch of $35.43. That’s two dish and rice with a soda and dessert. As I was looking to satisfy my sweet tooth and in the haunt for anything ube I met these packages. The bread had mold and it’s blue. This review isn’t to bash the store who makes great Filipino food but I would like everyone to be aware of what they buy and make sure it’s not expired or has mold. They obviously don’t look into their inventory making sure everything is fresh. I would hate for anyone to eat something like this especially the elderly.

Google
The Filipino food was decent, one of the ladies who worked behind the counter serving the food was Rude as heck, she kinda yelled at my 81 year old female co-worker to " Hurry up and order"! This is also a mini market & I also purchased some Japanese nuts that were Stale.

Google
A decent place for Filipino food. The place is relatively clean and well maintained. The grocery, food orders and meat area is on the first floor while their Dining Area is on the 2nd floor. It gets busy during lunch and dinner hours. The are kinda slow with taking orders. Wish they had a better system of just getting your order and food. Being in line takes about 15 to 20 minutes to have your food ready. By that time, I'm already dizzy from hunger. The food is great though. So it is worth the wait. Especially their grilled foods like pork bbqs and fish. Very big portions. Although not all the foods are the best in taste so you will need to discover which ones are the best for you. Grocery is abundant with lots of Filipino products. Meat are is kinda generic. You can have large orders of food and schedule a pick up date. It is ordered in the cashier up front. Good amount of parking but can be very busy. Staff is friendly and accomodating although they are mostly busy.

Google
Great food at a great price, not my mom's, but had the same homemade feel to it! They have a variety of dishes that they offer and phone orders are available as well! The sitting area is upstairs, which includes a handwashing area and water fountain, while overlooking the store below. Only problem I had was the wait. You have to get a ticket and wait for your number to be called, it gives you a nice chance to peruse their store, but I suggest going here if you have time to sit down and eat with your friends and/or family.

Google
I am surprised this place is relatively unknown to many Filipinos; often going unmentioned when Filipinos talk about Filipino restaurants. But then again maybe because it presents itself as a grocery store that sells cooked food (which you may opt to consume upstairs in a spacious and brightly-lit dining area, see photos). Five stars for the sheer breadth of Filipino dishes and treats it offers, all freshly prepared and (as far as my palate has experienced) authentic. BUT, often the food is just so excessively oily. 😷

Google
if you want to try the different kinds of Filipino dishes, this is the place to be. problem: too many customers meaning you have to wait to be served. don't forget to get your number. while waiting you can do grocery shopping. they have almost everything. second floor provides seating for your bought meals. i brought my Vietnamese co worker and she loves her order. i will try a different viand next time. take note the foods are a little bit pricier compared to other pinoy turo turo.

Yelp
American Ranch is basically a Filipino American grocery store, but they are also providing some very tasty food offerings. It's nothing too fancy, the straightforward surroundings. In the back is laid out at least twenty Filipino dishes, priced affordably. And you can take your food up some stairs or using the elevator to eat at some free tables. I loved the beef tongue in tomato sauce with peas, lengua. And bicol express, pork belly stewed in spicy coconut milk. You can get fresh fish to be fried. You can probably most days also find spam and eggs. What you want to drink you can buy from the market as single items. They also have an American Ranch in Artesia.

Yelp
Portions used to be big to share with two people but now they're tiny with a bunch of rice

Yelp
I bought medium pork sisig, but half of the container is filled with onions. It should be onion sisig not pork sisig...Im so disappointed!

Yelp
Lutong Bahay and this place are located in one and the same place. I learned on a 2nd stop that the American Ranch & Seafood Market part of it has a sister location in Cerritos somewhere. The only reason I found this out is because they had the same exact crispy fried squid the other place had! And it was delicious! So with many of their other cooked meals. Did I mention there's a wide variety of it?! So if you're in the mood for some good Pinoy food or too lazy to prep for lunch or dinner, they might just have what you wanna grub. The only problem with this place is that they tend to be slow, so prep for some wait time. FOOD: 4. Better than average - at least for the pansit bihon, turon, nilaga, crispy fried calamari, fried bangus... (those are the ones I've tried so far...) SERVICE: 2.5. Line workers behind the food are really slow. VALUE: 3. Fair. PARKING: Small Private lot and street parking available. A real challenge, though. Highly suggesting not to park on the lot, it's difficult to get in and out of (unless you get lucky and come through on a non-rush time...) Street is much better if you find it. OVERALL: 3.25. As with their variety of hot food being served, they do have a wide array of food available for catering. Now if only they resolve that long wait to get some foodie in the tummy!

Yelp
I choose zero but it wont allow me at all other than pricey food items which wasnt enticing for me . If you want to see legit and true blooded Marites employees this is your store many of them i guess too much customer interaction leads to Maritescm from the moment u enter and the moment u exit they talked too much which os annoying . Store is not that clean . Parking is a cracked parking area with huge dumpsters infront . Ugh this store is a joke why are u guys still in business ? OVER PRICED

Alina L.

Yelp
The staffs are very nice super friendly the food is legit authentic we've been ordering to go most of the time today was my first item coming in the dinuguan is the bomb so as Bicol espresso and also they have the best whitening products here so let's go so happy the cook is really really good!

Connie D.

Yelp
Ok, I recommend this place for all that are starving and craving asian, mostly filipino food. They have cooked and raw selections. It's just a little pricey and when they gets busy it is very busy! Very long wait! You will also have an option to eat your to go food in their second floor. Go there on a not so busy time so u'll not get annoyed. Mind you, I am not sure if a lot of people knows about their 2nd floor so here I am sharing to you all! Have a nice meal! Enjoy.

Jack S.

Yelp
My main take on this store is that they are a little pricey. Pricier than Seafood City. I went in here because I didn't feel like trekking to Seafood City up the street. After picking up the items my Mom needed, I got some food from their hot food section. Again- a little pricey! The line also takes a long time. If you're in a rush and there's people, go elsewhere. I got some camote cue for the parents to snack on which tasted good. Outside they control the flow of people. But no social distancing inside at all. especially at the hot food area where everyone stands to wait for their food.

Chris C.

Yelp
I have been coming here since they have opened. I can't say that I have seen much of a change or anything in this place from the first visit to this most recent one. The workers don't all know how to be real professional. They often socialize instead of take care of their customers. The eating area upstairs is convenient for those who need a place to eat rather than just take everything to go. It can be messy, however. Not everyone is thoughtful enough to bus their own trays, dishes, containers, etc. I hate that but what can you do? As far as the food goes, a lot of things are just too oily and too salty for me. Not to mention their combos are often much more expensive than what you think they will be. You can always ask for complimentary "sah-bow" which would be the broth from one of their soups. I tend to go for the sinigang because I like that little bit of a sour taste that it has. The tinola broth is more of a basic chicken broth. Both are good but the tinola is the more mild in flavor. If you're lucky you'll get a tid bit of meat in your soup and maybe some veggies too. Something I noticed is that of some of their pre-packaged sweets, some of them are from Costco. There are Madeline cookies that are in a pretty large tub. They are from Costco I'm pretty sure. They are not imported from the Philippines or anything. It seems a bit strange to me that they sell those there. And even more, they are much more expensive if you are to buy them at the market instead of Cost Co. Weird to me! They sell some produce and what not but I almost never see anyone buying anything else other than their fast food items. They have a few good dishes but I'm just not impressed. Some of the things that we tend to get here include the following: - adobo - dinuguan - menudo - caldereta - lechon - bbq pork - bbq chicken - soups - binangoongan (sp?) - pancit - palabok - sweet and spicy chicken - fresh lumpia - turon - salmon filets - tortangtalong (eggplant w meat, veggies & an made into an omelette)* etc I've never been blown away by anything and things, as I mentioned earlier, are pricy but every once in a blue moon my hubby wants to come here to get something he's craving. I've never craved anything from here but I can say that the few things that remain consistent include their kinda terrible service, poor attitudes and the taste and flavor of their sinigang, tinola, adobo & beef steak. The soups are good and I could honestly leave the rest. The beef steak always looks promising. There is a little bit of a gravy like sauce to it that always calls my name but whenever I have ordered it the meat is tough if not cold. The sauce is too salty and there isn't really a flavor. You may as well call this dish cold tough beef in salty sauce. Ugh! Oh, and what I was talking about when I said that the employees don't know how to act professionally, I was referring to 2 different incidences where the manager asked an employee to stay and the employee had been asking for more hours and what not. . . the manager asked them to stay later than they were supposed to but the employee ended up begging to leave. That was strange, to say the least. The employee said that they wanted more hours and that they needed to make more money because they had family bills to take care of. Within a few minutes, as I was waiting for my number to be called so that I could be helped along the line to create my meal combo for my hubby, I also heard the manager tell that associate that he could give them another 2 hours for the day, to help them make some more money and because it was busy in the store. Strange. The associate said no. They said that they were going to be picked up at a certain time and that they had no other ride. So, they weren't going to stay. They stayed a few minutes past their shift and then ended up begging to clock out because their ride would be waiting for them. This was all going on while the associate was helping customers. WTH?!?! It was terrible not to mention pathetic looking. Sorry but I hope the manager doesn't offer them more time after they tried to pull this. Strange!! Their are a lot of parking spots in their lot. Although, a lot of times I've noticed that there are people parking in handicapped spots that don't have displayed placards. I've also noticed that pretty often times people take up 2 spots, not 1 per car. Their patrons are terrible when it comes to parking. I literally had to wait over 12 minutes once for someone to get out of their parking spot. They saw other oncoming cars and refused to move until the other cars had all moved around them and what not. what a nightmare. There are TONS of homeless people that sleep on the street next to the market. It's a horrible sight. They don't usually bother the customers but there are just so many of them. It makes things so unsightly. They tend to be mean and grumpy as well. That's not helpful.

Yelp
Staff needs training in customer service needs updating some seminars maybe on good customer relation and service. Thanks

Crizelda I.

Yelp
Anazing selection of filipino dishes inside the store called Lutong Bahay. A bit peicey for the portions but good and tasty. Almost feels like your in a filipino party and you can get your to go food home! Love their lumpiang sariwa, bbq, kare kare, adobo, fish galore etc etc

Carla P.

Yelp
Their pancit is super tasty and full of veggies, meat, and seafood that's distributed evenly throughout the noodles. Then there's the leche flan. A generous amount of syrup/caramel and perfectly cooked smooth and creamy flan.

Arnulfo C.

Yelp
The food taste good and something that you can be proud of! But SOME (you know who you are) servers are very impolite. Common! Customer service please! Smile and be happy with what you are doing. Do not be rude to the customers especially to seniors!

Nigel A.

Yelp
The food here isn't that great. You can clearly taste and see that some of the foods here were re-heated. There was one time that we bought a Kare-Kare and it taste like it's about to be spoiled and I was so frustrated about it. The employees here are very nice, there's just one guy (or should I say gay) that is very rude and arrogant to the customers and to other employees. One more thing to consider is the price, their mark up on most of the items are higher than the average price - which doesn't add up to the quality of their food. Some of their frozen goods are beyond the expiration date. This place needs to have a surprise inspection from the department of public health for evaluation.

Max S.

Yelp
I paid 15$ for a meal that cost 7 $ the lasttime i visited, they raised the prices and constantly sound rude as there serving the food seems like there talking bad about you too your face in a forign language, last time shopping there..the egg roll was burnt, the tofu was burnt and hard , disgusted for 15 $ ;( whatca rip off...

Lisa C.

Yelp
I live this place. What time do they stop serving breakfast? I'm trying to get there in time to get some more garlic fried rice.

Carol C.

Yelp
NO SOCIAL DISTANCING!!! They used to control the number of people inside the store. There were so many people in the cooked food section. They should implement one-ticket-one-person only when ordering cooked food. I saw a group of 4 people ordering food. I told the cashier about this but she just ignored me. Really? Zero star for customer service!

Yrdyl S.

Yelp
I lived close here, for almost 5 years I have been waiting for what establishment will be open in this spot, and to my surprise its another Filipino place. As far as I know this is the 1st American Ranch in LA. I came in SuNday morning around 9am and a lot of people were here already for sure checking out whats being offered. Its Filipino grocery store and surprisingly they have products that can not be found in Seafood Grocery Store or Island Pacific. What caught my attention was they have a "turo-turo" cooked/ Filipino Cusine. (like Arco) Since everything is new, it gave me a different feel. I Loved their Filipino Turo-Turo Food which I ordered and ate upstairs, their food court! Definitely coming back, make sure to come early if you are buying food so you can get what is best.

Yelp
If there is negative 0 among the choices i will definitely give them a -0. Food wise is ok but the quality of service they give to their customer is very upsetting and annoying. To be honest, i just lost my appetite right now. There was long line in the cashier area and there is only 1 register open. But then there was this 2 employee that i think one of them works in the register area but they were just chatting. And they just ignore the long line and they dont care. Its already upsetting that before you can get served you have to wait for a long time anf then you have to wait again to pay. Very poor quality of customer service. Whoever is the manager or supervisor in this area should look into it. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANY ONE!

Alfredo C.

Yelp
Gave this place a second chance and they blew it. Rude and unsanitary. I headed to the cashier (who I believe is the manager) watching something on his iphone and picking at his head (Lice?) With my two pastries in hand I approach him and not even hi or thank he grabs one of my pastry and throws it in the trash can with no explanation. I asked him "What happened?) His response "Not good" He could have said or offered and explanation before trashing it or suggested another item. (Upsell) Wow! Not to mention staff yelling behind the line. My suggestion is to take a class in HOSPITALITY AND FOOD SANITATION. I BELIEVE L.A.C.C NEXT DOOR OFFERS THESE CLASSES. No third chances with me! OVER IT!

Rex C.

Yelp
Brand new place that open up near the Vermont and Santa Monica train station! This place is a American & filipino seafood market that offer variety of products. Also there is a food court inside that serves several homemade food that change on the time of the day.

Tiffany T.

Yelp
While I question the cleanliness of the place and food, I will say that the food was quite good. I haven't been exposed to much Filipino food, but my Filipino friends took me here and we all enjoyed our food. The glass noodles were so yummy! I was debating between the big grilled/steamed(?) squid and the smaller stir fried/sauteed(?) squid. My friend said the smaller squid is better and I did NOT REGRET ordering it. Wow. It was SO GOOD. They were pretty generous with portions, too! There was enough food for me to save for dinner. There were so many more things that I wanted to try. Eeek! I already want to go back to try even more food.

Roland C.

Yelp
This place is a heaven for pilipino living on dtla. They have everything you need from Fresh Seafood, Meat , Hot to go Entree from lechon, sisig, sinigang na salmon, baboy, pork & beef. They even have the ceviche tuna made fresh. The canned goods from the PI in case you missed homeland they have it. You need to get in line a number to be served if you want hot lunch to go. They have combo meal from 1-2 entree with rice. Ask for free soup. They have all selections of seafood fresh !! Tuna, salmon, snappet, blue crabs live!! Grouper, tilapia and more. All servers are very friendly will accomdate all your needs. Parking is free and big space outside. Try it if you havent!!

Janet D.

Yelp
First time to go this place to buy food. My number was called. I ordered for a crispy pork and I'm not done ordering yet the server left me. I called her again and ordered for more but she was annoyed giving me attitude like I'm begging her to give the food I was ordering. Another thing I asked my Crispy pork to be chopped and she brought it to the fresh meat and seafood area to chop it. They chop the cooked food in the uncooked area? That is unsanitary. I looked for their manager but they said the manager hasn't arrived yet. They called the supervisor but unfortunately the lady that was serving me was their supervisor. Another customer told me that most of their servers are rude. I will never come back to this place again and I don't recommend this place as well. A new restaurant with bad customer service and unsanitary food handling.

Vince A.

Yelp
Slowest service I've ever experienced. They have at least 10-15+ people working at the kitchen and only ONE cashier. What's funny is that despite they have so many people working in the kitchen, no one bats an eye on the cashier as she struggled to answer phone calls (taking food orders for pick-up which I find very weird and inefficient) while assisting customers in the check out process. The line was getting long as she was taking so forever to assist one customer because of the phone calls. I was getting worried at the lady behind me because she was old and was carrying a lot of stuff and the queue for the line wasnt moving at a good pace. Everyone back in the kitchen is just doing their own thing (pretending to look busy, serve one customer at a time, gossiping). I hope management will take action because this is ruining their bussiness and also portraying a bad representation of how a Filipino worker should be.

Chris N.

Yelp
They have decent Filipino food here. You grab a ticket, wait for your number to be called, then give them your order. After you get your order, they'll ring you up at the front register. It's usually pretty busy whenever I go, so you may have to wait awhile. The food itself is okay. Nothing special, good for that quick fix. They have an upstairs dining area which is pretty nice and spacious with tvs. Plenty of parking spots available.

Marissa C.

Yelp
I love going here. They have a lot of items that every filipino needs. I like going here coz the employees are helpful and approachable.

Ethel R.

Yelp
Kare Kare. Tortang Talong. Lechon Kawali. My favorites. Big portions. Clean. Friendly servers. Dining area upstairs is clean and conducive to having gatherings. Their Kare Kare is one the best I have tasted in the LA Pinoy food scene.

Roy C.

Yelp
The BEST FILIPINO FOOD in town and the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE. The BEST FILIPINO Restaurant in town!!!! LUTONG BAHAY is the name of the restaurant inside this grocery store. They really live up to their name, its like your Lola or Mom cook it in your own kitchen. I tried most of their food since they opened around 3-4 weeks ago and everything tastes DELICIOUS. We were very BLESSED that they catered our event this past Saturday and OH boy!!! We know the food is delicious but the customer service that NOLI , their catering manager, provided was hands down the very BEST-he personally took care of our order, he was very accommodating with our requests, and he went above and beyond in delivering not just excellent customer service but also on the quality of food that they serve. All of our guests love the food and they kept on asking who catered our party. WE told them its LUTONG BAHAY!!!! To Noli & the kitchen staff: You have created loyal customers in me & my whole family.

DayW B.

Yelp
STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE!!! Their customer service is extremely poor! It's ridiculous! I went there after work. Got my orders and lined up at the cashier. I was told that their system was down so they couldn't accept credit card payment. They only accept cash but i didn't have cash on me. My transaction was put on hold while they fix the internet connection. The cashier in the meantime was was helping other customers with cash on them. I had a long day was already tired from work. After over 15 mins of waiting and standing at the cashier area I was told that their system was still down and they don't accept check payment so they would have to take a picture of my debit card which I did not agree. I left the store empty handed.

Ian M.

Yelp
This place is shady since they will tax you on food that you buy at the grocery store, which is illegal. Restaurants have the right to tax if the food is consumed on premise. This market does not. The prices are ok, mostly junk and crap food though.

Jeff Z.

Yelp
Food was cooked fast (you can tell) "Mickey Mouse" style. The meat needs to be more boiled and tender!!!! They seem lazy there. Would I recommend this to another race, definitely not!!!!

Mauricio G.

Yelp
The best seafood market i 've ever been great food and variety of items Simply the best

Vincent V.

Yelp
The food is good but the food made me sick it gave me bad diarrhea very bad. I couldn't sleep gave me a bad headache and felt very week. Never again these kinds of filipino places. Happy hr more like shitty hr. Never

Ken G.

Yelp
The staff on the cooked food section specially the english speaking asian lady who doesn't speak Tagalog and has weird eyeshadow makeup was caught by another staff putting the wrong price on food and she said that it is ok as customers don't notice it, i think this is blatantly deceiving. I also ordered one item combo with a vegetables no meat and the latino guy priced it at $8.00 when the board says $6.50, i don't mind paying but as long as they advertise the right price. To all buying customers be cautious and check the price that they put on the food as you may be paying more than you should. I told the manager but i don't know if he took action about this.

Beth V.

Yelp
If it was possible to give them 0 stars I totally would! But I'll give the 1 star because I happen to like their food. The service here is horrible! I called in to place an order for a tray of food. The male on the line told me to go order online because I was picking it up after 2 pm. WTF? Why???? That makes no sensd to me! I went to their site and it didn't even work! After struggling with it I called back and he told me to download their app! WTF again?!? This guy was just plain rude all around! I just need to order 1 tray of food!!! It's as if he didn't even trust that I would come in, pick up, and pay for my order. RUDE! RUDE! RUDE!!!!!!!

Gelo V.

Yelp
The food is good but the thing is they are all cold af! Dont come here during lunch/dinner time coz servers are slow af, if youre on a rush better look for another filipino food spot. They need more system on handling customers, yes they are doing the number system but its not the quantity of the people that is slowing down the service, its the servers themselves, they should know or atleast learn a more efficient way to cater customers as fast as possible. All in all the place is clean, the food is good (sometimes) but they need to keep the food warm. Filipino food is not enjoyable when its cold af any food is not appreciated when its cold af. Maybe they should provide atleast a microwave on the dining area floor or just keep the food warm at all time. I mean this is not good for when health inspector comes in by surprise.

Jess C.

Yelp
Best kare kare in LA! Helpful staff and there's a nice space to eat upstairs, good for groups. They also have a parking lot.

Maryjane S.

Yelp
Do not put too much MSG pls. I feel like I was drugged/high everytime I eat your food. I'd fell asleep and heavy headed when I woke up. Remember, little ones like kids and toddlers also eat your food. Their body can only take so much MSG. And also reduce the use too much oil. I hope this comment will be taken care of. Thank you.

Myra P.

Yelp
I usually like coming here for the variety of their food items but after coming here today I may never come back. For a total of 4 items from the deli, it took 45 minutes to order the food and pay at the cashier. 45 minutes. The level of inefficiency at this place is remarkable. You have one person cutting in line asking the server for chicken skewers saying "it's ok the manager let's me do it all the time, I'm a student" and other customers who take as long as 10 minutes to choose their food items and ask questions. Every transaction takes at least 8-10 minutes per customer. I timed it, after all I was there for an entire 45 minutes. No reinforcements called in to help with lines and the so-called manager unpacking boxes as customers stand in line while in all honestly, some people leave half way through the wait. The staff makes up for the asinine practices here with their courtesy and small talk but seriously, screw this place.

Pyo C.

Yelp
3 stars for consistency. both for quality of food and service. we get it, you guys get tired. but we pay the same price regardless.

Yelp
They have a ton of different Pinot food combos varies but around around the same price as Panda combos include rice and a choice of one or two items food is really authentic not Americanized

Yelp
The place is nice and clean, so much choices of food but I think they use MSG on all the dishes. I ordered kare-kare, beef steak and pansit bihon. Few hours after eating, I feel so sleepy and had a headache.

Yelp
I usually go to eagle rock..and i have also tried the one in Cerritos both branches have good food that is why i keep coming back. Unfortunately this location have a very very bad customer service to think that their food is not that good not like the other two branches (eagle rock & Cerritos) though they cater the same food. For my convenience this location is closer to my place, that is why i would rather come here but recently i bought some food for our dinner first the lady who help me is giving me attitude when i asked her to give me some extra soup for the big container of kare kare that i got... the lady beside me bought the same and she got a big container too plus an extra big container of the soup! Wow! Diba! It so unfair because the one that serves her is so nice and accommodating. Ok next its time to pay at the cashier this lady gave me an attitude when i asked her something! Im like wow! I know you guys are tired but you better get yourself together and serve your customer well. So attention management sayang ang mga customer nyo kung di nyo aayusin ang customer service nyo. Thats why that would be my last trip from LA branch i would rather drive all the way in eagle rock kesa mabastos ako ng mga tindera nyo.

Yelp
this is a good place to buy your food, food servers in the counter are friendly but sometimes i think when they are tired they get to show it . but overall they are always nice. who's not nice is the manager, the guy who doesn't smile you try to make a conversation with him he ignores you ... too busy or too tired i don't care, part of your job to acknowledge your customers. where can you find him ,he usually is in the cash register and don't even bother to talk or smile he won't give you the light of day.

Yelp
If you are into Filipino food. This is the place to go. Plenty of choices, so many you will surely get confused on what to eat. Big portions. Good food. Expect a long wait though.

Yelp
The staff is 109% Foreigner's hardly understand English, very crabby angry staff uncooperative and chaotic environment... Expensive plates of food, very oily and greasy! Don't go there unless your with a philipino body guard!

Yelp
The food is great. Serves mostly Asian cuisine. But the servers, specifically a male server named Chris is so rude. He doesn't have a business serving customers if he doesn't have a pleasing personality. I hope not to see him again if I plan to eat there. The servers must be trained to be polite especially with the elderly. Nobody has a business in staying in front of people if they are nasty just because they are tired. He normally closes the store and assigned to the fast food section. American Ranch, pls train your people.

Yelp
Glad to have found this branch on Yelp today. The fastfood section of the supermarket is named Lutong Bahay. It's a stone throw away from the train station with ample parking. Among the Filipino restaurants located nearby, this is by far the best. They have a lot of food choices that also include some popular pinoy breakfast favorites as well. The dinuguan is a must try. Beef afritada, kare-kare, bbq skewers, kinilaw, fried fish, grilled pompano & tilapia and a lot more. The setting is quite similar with Artesia branch except that this one is brand new with a vast space for dining at the second floor. There is an elevator after paying at the cashier or you may use the stairs going up. Dining area is a 5-star experience. Very well lighted, clean and very nice. It has a drinking water station, sink for handwashing, condiments section, cutleries and extra plates section. The toilet is big and clean. I recommend people to try eating and shopping for groceries and their seafood as well. Thank You.
