The 20 Best Ice Cream Shops In Chicago - Chicago - The Infatuation

"Located on Michigan Avenue across from the Art Institute, it’s tempting to write off Amorino as yet another tourist trap. Partly because it is—it’s constantly mobbed with tourists stopping in the doorway to take pictures. Plus it’s an international chain. But their beautifully presented gelato (in the shape of a rose) is, in fact, very good. Maybe it’s the allure of unusual options like orange-cinnamon and rum-flavored candied chestnut, or how you can get an unlimited number of flavors piled into a single scoop. But it’s mostly just because the gelato is rich and velvety." - adrian kane, veda kilaru

Google
I definitely think this is an ice cream shop, mainly cater to the tourists. It relies more on spectacle than substance. The ice cream was not bad by any means, but the price it commanded was not because of the taste which was just average, but rather the location and the fact that a lot of people go here. When I went on a weekend, it was absolutely crowded and one had to wait about half an hour before getting the ice cream. You place your order, and then they call out your name, and then you make your ice cream creation, subway style. There are some seating, but it gets full really quickly on a weekend or on busy holidays. You can sample the ice creams before trying, which is nice. The creations look nice and definitely have very high Instagram appeal. I don’t think I will be back, but it wasn’t bad for one time.

Very busy and crowded but they still moved the crowd super fast. Amazing ice cream as always. They had a fountain where you can refill your water bottle and also two kiosks where you could place your order without talking to a cashier. Employees were very polite.

While in Chicago needed something sweet. Their ordering process was easy and fast, especially as busy as this place was. Right on Michigan Ave so lots of tourist going in this place, but they handed the volume well. They called my name quick, gave me some samples and I landed on Dulce De Leche, vanilla and salted caramel on top of their fresh waffle. I also sampled their pistachio flavor, best I ever tried. Really enjoyed my choice. Would recommend making the stop.

Google
Great selection of tasty gelatos and even a couple of vegan options. Highly recommend getting 2 or 3 flavors cause it’s so hard to choose just one! The only con is that it seems a bit disorganized in terms of how you pay/order. Everyone clamors in front of the display and you may have to throw a few elbows.

Google
I love this place. I just tried their new summer flavor, pear with hibiscus. It is so refreshing and delicious for the summer. I highly recommend it. The only down fall is it's always crowded. It could be the middle of winter and it is still crowded. Keep that in mind when going. Plan to wait around 15-20 mins before you get your order. I don't mind waiting. It's great for people watching. It is worth the wait!

Google
Pleasant surprise. Arrived and it was packed, which is a good sign. Mikey helped me get my order in, from welcoming me to the store to serving my ice cream. Awesome experience, 10/10 ice cream and service.

This place was crazy busy on a Friday night around 11ish. It was confusing what to do here. Others thought the same. Others asked us as if we knew, but we didn't either. Turns out you can order at I think 3 different self other kiosks or order at the only register. After that you wait for your name to be called by one of the employees that make your creations you ordered. Can taste test different gelatos(website said 10 vegan flavors but had 8 while we were there). I wish they would of had more than just for flavors that were vegan, but the lemon basil, lemon, and mango flavors were good. I asked for raspberry too, but as I said it was extremely busy and must not have heard me say that flavor, it was not added. Do I think what I ordered was worth $10? Not really. Did Jeremy think his was worth $10? No he didn't. The cone was definitely lacking flavor, but the employee did make a pretty dessert reminiscent of a flower. It was an experience and was able to use their only restroom that also had a baby changing station and noticed their toilet paper was a smaller roll like you'd have at home. It was not the regular giant roll of Pom that restaurants or retail places have.

Google
A charming little ice cream shop that turns every scoop into a rose! The flavors are delicious, the place is clean, and the whole staff is super friendly and welcoming. Alex — one of the staff — was incredibly sweet and kind. Her smile and cheerful vibe made the experience even better. Highly recommended! 🌹🍦✨

Yelp
If there's one place I can always count on for amazing gelato, it's Amorino. This spot is easily one of my favorite gelato places in town, and every visit is just as good as the last. What I Absolutely Love: Pistachio Gelato with Pistachio Syrup - OH MY GOD. This is next-level good! The gelato itself is so rich, nutty, and creamy, and the pistachio syrup just takes it to a whole new level. If you love pistachio anything, you need to try this. Pistachio Ice Cream Macarons - Pure heaven. The perfect mix of chewy macaron shell and creamy gelato filling, with that deep, toasty pistachio flavor shining through. Honestly, one of the best sweet treats ever! Other Gelato Flavors - My friends and I have tried so many flavors, and every single one has been a hit. Amorino is known for their super smooth, authentic gelato, and you can't go wrong with any choice. Plus, they serve it in their signature rose shape, which makes it even more fun to eat! Hot Chocolate & Other Desserts - Rich, thick, and indulgent. Their hot chocolate is perfect for a cold day, and they have waffles, crepes, and so many other dessert options to satisfy any sweet craving. Why Amorino is a Must-Visit: High-quality, authentic gelato with deep, natural flavors So many flavors & toppings to choose from Beautiful presentation (hello, gelato roses! ) Great variety--hot chocolate, crepes, macarons, and more! Always a hit with friends--everyone finds something they love! If you're in Chicago and craving incredible gelato or a decadent dessert, Amorino is the place to go! I already can't wait for my next pistachio gelato + macaron combo!

Yelp
Love the gelato. Coffee is good too. Service is also good. The issue I have is with the general upkeep of the place. Anyone paying almost $50 for 3 small cups of gelato and 3 small coffees should be able to also experience a clean bathroom with a door without a broken handle and with running water in the sink and should expect to be able on sit on a chair whose upholstery doesn't cave in when you sit down! A good product and service are necessary but unless you want your store to be described as a hole in the wall, the restaurant facilities should also meet a minimum standard. I will keep choosing Amorino for future gelato breaks but not the Loop location.

Yelp
This was our first time trying Amorino, and we decided to go with their classic gelato cups for our order. We selected one cup with coconut, blueberry cheesecake, and dulce de leche, and another with vanilla and orange flurry. Shortly after placing our order, we received a call informing us that they were out of two of the flavors we had chosen -- dulce de leche and orange flurry. While we appreciated the heads-up, we were a bit disappointed by the limited flavor availability. When the cups were delivered, I couldn't help but notice that they seemed smaller than I expected. Despite ordering the classic size, the cups felt much more like a small size, which was a bit surprising. In terms of taste, the gelato itself was delicious and lived up to its reputation. However, the overall experience left us feeling a little underwhelmed due to the smaller portion sizes and the lack of certain flavors we were excited to try.

Yelp
This is one of those places you go to mainly for the Instagram picture. Once you walk in, it's super confusing and unorganized. There's no clearly marked lines on where/how to order. You must order on the kiosk, then they will call your number, then you pick the flavors. You don't choose your flavors on the kiosk, you're just ordering the size of ice cream basically. They had a lot of different flavors, and there isn't really a limit on the number of flavors. We got the large cone and got caramel, mango, passion fruit, blood orange, stracciatella, and pistachio. The pistachio was probably my favorite. The first flavor you choose goes as the base, so you get the most of that flavor. All the flavors were really good.

Yelp
Is it a tourist trap? Yes. Is it pricey? Sort of. Is it usually packed? Yes. It is however on Michigan Avenue very close to the art Institute and millennium Park so it is also convenient. It is also pretty and delicious both on the decor and the desserts provided. If you're lucky enough to get in here when it's not so packed it's a nice place to be in. So Why not? Tonight we had The Affogato. Thick hot chocolate with your choice of ice cream - too sweet for me. We also had The Must - Waffles, gelato of your choice, toppings of your choice, in my case, pistachio, whipped cream and a macaroon of your choice(pistachio macaroon absolutely divine). How could you go wrong and I loved it.

Yelp
Place stays open until 1 am. Perfect after-dinner dessert spot. Gelato is delicious. Tasted their waffle too.. so soo good! I'd probably get the waffle with my gelato next time. It might be a bit confusing if it's your first time. You have to buy whatever you want at their screen kiosk first. So if you just want a cup of gelato, you have to buy the size you want first at the self checkout, then you will choose the flavor when they assist you. The screen was a bit glitchy when we went so it took me a minute to understand how to order.

Yelp
Kaitlyn, Zayra were very helpful in my decision making! I got the blueberry cheesecake and it was amazing!! These two employees were very kind, and informative in the ice cream products, and the menu. The shop wasn't packed at all, we went at a pretty decent time (10:00). Definitely coming back here!! These products are amazing, and not bad for the price !!

Yelp
This is a little gelato spot with a confusing and unorganized ordering system... Pick your order on the tablet and wait for your name to be called by a staff membership. With a huge crowd inside, don't mistake it for a line like I did. I ordered 3 flavors of gelato: Tiramisu, Blueberry Cheesecake, and Coconut. However, I think they gave me vanilla instead of coconut... It had flecks of vanilla bean and did not taste like the coconut at all. Overall, my favorite was Blueberry Cheesecake! Pretty good, but this wasn't a must try place for me.

Yelp
This is a cute little place serving up some amazing gelato! However, what did confuse me was how to order. Most places, you pay after you created your cup of gelato. Here, you pay for the gelato size you want at the cashier desk or kiosk, and then when they call your name, you build your gelato cup with the flavors you want. It could have been better with communicating this to customers because everyone was confused. I got a small cup with three flavors: vanilla, coffee, and coconut; topped with whipped cream. The gelato was smooth and I had no complaints on the taste and texture! If they fixed up how people order, I would definitely rank it with more stars. Getting a gelato treat is supposed to be relaxing experience, but this was chaotic.

Yelp
Amorino is a fantastic spot for gelato lovers. The ordering process is smooth and straightforward with self-service screens where you can place your order, and then wait for your name to be called. One of the highlights is that you can mix and match up to three flavors in a single order, which is perfect for sampling a variety of tastes. I opted for the mango, chocolate Amorino, and dulce de leche, and I absolutely loved all three flavors. They even allow you to sample before finalizing your choice.. Amorino's signature is their beautiful rose-shaped gelato, which is as visually appealing as it is delicious. However, it can get quite busy, especially late at night, leading to longer wait times. Despite the crowds, I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for high-quality, flavorful gelato.

Yelp
Very busy, great flavors. They have flies and only one bathroom but it's a good casual place to rest. Very expensive for what it is, but their gelato is good! Would recommend a cup, but the cone is fun for the picture Got blueberry cheesecake and pistachio -- both are good but the blueberry cheesecake really stands out and would get again!

Yelp
Located right across Millennium Park, on the corners of Michigan and Monroe Avenues, this gelato spot was always busy with long lines. And I can understand why. I got the signature cone, ice cream shaped into rose petals, topped with a French macaron. I got the mango flavor which was bursting with mango flavor. Nougat also seemed to be a fan favorite so I also added that as the inner flavor to be savored last. The texture was smooth yet not overly creamy. It also had the right level of sweetness. The shop also has other packaged goodies like cookies, wafers, and French macarons. The elegant vibe of the space makes you feel like you're in an Italian gelateria.
google avatar

Rob G.

Yelp
As tourist or a worker needing a break from your job in the loop, this is a great place to stop! The gelato here is smooth, creamy and delightful. They have dozens of flavors and let you mix, match and even have macarons to top your scoops off. Service was excellent even on a very busy lunch hour. They let me sample a couple flavors before choosing.
google avatar

Alex B.

Yelp
Amorino offers authentic, high-quality gelato and sorbets. The gelatos are rich, creamy, and full of intense flavors, with a wide variety of classic and unique options. All the gelatos are presented as flowers. Super cute touch. Best part is that you can combine multiple flavors. The ambiance is cozy and elegant. Overall, Amorino is a must-visit for any gelato lover.
google avatar

Lu Lu S.

Yelp
We walked by Amorino and saw the line and ruckus so we thought, it must be good so we gave it a try. It is a bit chaotic inside the store from the lines to order and the line of people waiting for their name to be called so the workers can scoop your selected gelato flavors to create the shaped dessert. There's also self service tablets on the walls so you can order but we were a bit confused because we weren't sure if you needed to select your gelato flavors while ordering and paying it not. Maybe more communication on the process because you just order the size and when your name is called, you then select which flavor(s) you'd like and they will create your rose cone for you. Overall, yummy and creative! Enjoyed it!
google avatar

Nisa S.

Yelp
This place was busy! But it reminded me of Italy and I wanted gelato, so I waited (lol). The coordination of paying for your order and then ordering was a bit messy. People just busy crowding around the counter even though they weren't ordering yet was a bit chaotic. The gelato was 10/10. I went with the classic size cone and went with two of my favorite flavors, hazelnut and pistachio, but I also wanted to try a fruity flavor and went with grapefruit. I love grapefruit everything, so this was amazing! Very refreshing and very grapefruit. My tastebuds are happy and it was a nice way to end the night.

Yelp
I've been waiting to check out this place. So after a fun round of mini golf, I went here and order a small coffee gelato & one macaroon. The device was good, but nothing to write home about. lol The gelato was delicious and the vibes of this place gave a slice of Europe for sure.
google avatar

Brian E.

Yelp
The gelato is fantastic. I had a beautiful brioche roll with coconut and dulce de leche gelatos. It was delicious The ordering process was a bit chaotic but worth the wait and confusion
google avatar

Dina C.

Yelp
This weekend was just screaming the need for some gelato! Amorino is probably our most favorite gelato spot downtown and while I was not proud of mixing my fruity and more sweet tooth flavors, I couldn't help it since you can ask for 3 flavors! The mango is PHENOMENAL and every time I tell myself I'll just get all mango but I'm always tempted by the chocolate and hazelnut combo so got those as well They even have a single flavor combining chocolate and hazelnut that I personally like better than getting them separately as pictured. Honestly you can't go wrong with their flavors. You can even ask to sample a few (but def get the mango)! They do have some seating available as well.
google avatar

Celeste M.

Yelp
This gelato was amazing!!!!! Creamy, flavorful, pretty presentation! Workers let me and my friend try 3-4 flavors too! I went with their Black Cherry that the worker recommended. Perfect sweetness with a bit of tartness I like. Got the cone and love that they make it into the petals. Inside was nice as well with lots of seating. One of the only dessert places open till 1am!
google avatar

Anthony D.

Yelp
Some of the best gelato in Chicago. It is a chain, but the gelatos tastes freshly made and there a plenty of options. The location is typically packed because it's right next to the bean, so it may be a squeeze to get in. The staff is in a rush to get people in and out so try to have an idea of what you want. On the wall there are some terminals, so I would recommend picking your size and paying so you can get out after you're done. Behind the counter there are a few tables and it is typically pretty clean.
google avatar

Yelp
After walking a number of hours after having a GF Chicago deep dish pizza, I stumbled upon Amorino. This corner gelato joint lured me in with its great flavors and a GF cone. I ordered the cone and then in assembly line fashion (that's exaggerated as after you pay you are handed off to another who deftly shapes your flavors into a rose bouquet of sweetness), I chose basil/lime and berry something (I forgot in the dazzlement of colors). The gelato was creamy delicious but as I walked I had to eat it fast. Thats not totally true but it's my story and I'm sticking to it. Grazie Mille, Amorino.
google avatar

Emma F.

Yelp
Great gelato & free water too if you came here after walking around. Order first and then they will call you. I got it as a flower, the chocolate and coffee flavors were good, just the perfect amount!
google avatar

Jonquil B.

Yelp
I have passed this location so many times and I finally got a chance to visit because Chicago had a 70° weather day in February. Sounds like a good day to have ice cream lol. I was almost overwhelmed with the options, and I think that's a good thing. There were non-dairy options as well. I try various sorbets that was formed into a flower. I also had a coffee ice cream...? Of course I forget the name. On nice weather days, expect a long wait. They really friendly, but they had to take the orders, pass out samples and still make the order. I do like the lounge area and the location is really nice and clean. Besides the wait and the prices are fair (but they can really add up), it's a really nice spot and I will be back.
google avatar

Donna F.

Yelp
The gelato flavors at this place are fantastic. It's a bit pricier compared to others, but that's probably typical for downtown Chicago. The ambiance is pleasant if you manage to find a seat, but it's always crowded. People usually grab their orders and go.
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Artisanal gelato to top off our trip to the Art Institute. A friend took us here to enjoy a cone. It tastes as good as it looks, and it is beautiful. I chose three different flavors for my gelato flower cone, and each one was amazing. Make sure you plan out your own journey with the outer layer as your starting point, ending with the center layer. Great treat if you're nearby at the museum, millennium park or State St.
google avatar

Ulyana K.

Yelp
Very nice little place to get delicious sweet treats. It's close by lots of attractions and hotels. This place tends to get quite crowded during the summer, though. Expect up to a 10 minute wait if it's a busy day. I was able to try their chocolate chip cookie as well as some gelato. For the gelato, you're able to choose several flavors to fill up the cup. I tried the dulce de leche and the hazelnut. The dulce was quite sweet. Good but not my favorite with not a lot of swirls. The hazelnut was very good, though. Strong flavor and nice sweetness level. The chocolate chip cookie was pretty good but nothing too special. Decent amount of chocolate chunks. However, it was quite dry all through the cookie. All in all, definitely a pretty good place to get gelato. The non-ice cream or gelato items are pretty okay too, but when I come back to Chicago, if I come back here, I'll get more gelato.
google avatar

Yelp
For the sweet tooth! They are located in downtown Chicago. Right on Michigan Ave. we walked from the Buckingham fountain we stumble onto this place. late and coffee sounded good with some cookies for me. My mom decided for some ice cream on a cone. I was confused at first because I didn't see the screens at the walls to order. I asked the worker how to order and Kindly she told me where to make the order. They had rose shape gelatos. They were cute. I had never seen that before. My mom enjoyed her pistachio gelato with a crunchy cone. I got an affogqto Al cafe. It was cold and creamy. Very delicious. I algo got some of the Tonde e gentile. They were some buttery almond flavor cookies. They were the best I have ever had. I satisfied my sweet cravings. Definitely a place to comeback. I will look for more locations. Maybe there is one closer to me than Chicago. Delightful visit!!
google avatar

Gloria L.

Yelp
Love their gelato! They have locations in Manhattan and overseas as well. You can get multiple different flavors in any of the sizes. The small size probably fits at most 3-4 flavors comfortably though. I don't think I could finish a larger size because the small already fits a lot of gelato in it. You can also ask to try any flavor before committing. If you get the cone, then they will shape it into a beautiful flower for you. You can also get a macaroon on top of the gelato! I've tried the pistachio, mint chocolate chip, dulce de leche, and chocolate before. Love all these flavors but do wish that the mint chocolate chip had more chocolate chips in it. Overall: Recommend if you need a sweet fix!
google avatar

Anatoli L.

Yelp
A delicious experience. The shop is located very close to the Palmer Hotel where I was staying, so I couldn't resist the urge. I got a combination of three scoops, out of which the Nocciolo (Hazelnut) was out of this world (should've taken just three scoops of it). Pistachio was good, but not anywhere close to the Nocciolo. But of course, there is a huge variety of flavors for every taste. Good friendly service. Recommended.
google avatar

Mohan C.

Yelp
Kind of a tacky place, with the flower petal shaped gelato, and is also expensive. Considering it's right across Millenium Park, it's always crowded as well. I'd still recommend this place, as it is solid and a unique experience, but just know that you're probably ending up at a tourist trap.
google avatar

Pooja P.

Yelp
Their artisanal gelato and unique rose-shaped ice cream in a cone is their highlight. I opted for dark chocolate ice cream in a to-go cup and a hot chocolate. But next time I'll go for the cone in rose shape flower style. The gelato is spectacular. The hot chocolate was Italian style just the way I like it. It wasn't extra sweet. The service is pretty neat and staff is extremely friendly. Before ordering, I tried a taste of variety of options. The ambience is cute and inviting. Prices can be a bit on the higher side, but the quality justifies the cost. If you appreciate high-quality gelato and are looking for an Instagram-worthy dessert, Amorino is definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
THE BEST AND CUTEST GELATO STORE IN Chicago!!! We were enjoying the millennial park when we started craving for ice cream. This store was right across the park and it was highly recommended on Yelp. Well, the recommendations were right! The store is very small and was overfull. We placed the order of their famous art cone through kiosk and waited around 30 mins for my turn. You chose the flavors at ice cream bar. So be sure to ask first for flavor you want most because that will make the most of the cone. I should have said pistachio (it is to die for!) but I asked of flavor in the order I saw so strawberry filled most of my cone. Regardless, all the flavors are great and it was a such a pretty thing to look at as well. We also ordered their Pistachio and blueberry cheesecake in cup ( it tasted divine) and their Tiramisu is also to die for! Overall, I would highly recommend checking this place out!

Yelp
Great corner location. Bigger inside than expected. Great service. I can't remember her name but the young lady that put mines together was really nice and acknowledged my birthday. Make no mistake, this is expensive ice cream. I paid almost $12 for this tiny cone. That's 2 tubs of ice cream at the grocery store. But it was good. This is an interesting setup for ordering. You order by tablet at entry. Then they call your name when it's your turn, you decide which flavors you want. I guess if you change your mind they send you back to the tablet? Who knows. I like that all the cones are presented as flowers. Also note, this place was packed. 30°,windy, 9:30pm on a Wednesday. Cold! I'm thinking I'm the only person wanting ice cream in this Chicago "spring" cold. It was spring break maybe that was a factor, but there was a short wait.
google avatar

Mayuri A.

Yelp
Amorino has great gelato and coffee but the services falls really short for me. They let you try many gelato flavors before ordering. The gelato flower is the main highlight. The larger size comes with a macaron on top as well. They recommend to go upto 4 flavors for the large one and 3 flavors for the small one. The gelato is very flavorful and creamy. The coffees are great too, we tried the Cortado, the macchiato with double shot and the mocha. The service is awfully slow. You have the option to place your coffee orders via kiosks. The gelato orders need to be placed at the counter. It takes ages for you to get your order. On one instance, the barista even forgot our order and we had to remind them. They did include small chocolate wafer srocls with the order to apologize for the delay but the wait was definitely really long.
google avatar

Devon B.

Yelp
We LOVE this place. The gelato filled macarons really leave a lasting impression. They are out of this world delicious. The cones are also SO cute and taste good to boot! We have always had great and prompt service! Santi really helped us have an awesome experience this last time. There is plenty of room to sit in here or to take your dessert across the street. Whichever you choose, make sure to make this part of your next experience in Chicago.
google avatar

Lana S.

Yelp
This place was located right outside of millennium Park so we decided to check it out. A big chaotic when you walk in. There was tablets to order your gelato and then they call your name to pick up. I was concerned about cross contamination which is why I gave 3 stars (as someone that has food allergies) so I picked three flavors away from all the other ones. I got the blueberry cheesecake, mint chocolate and coffee. The coffee one was my favorite with chocolate covered espresso beans in the ice cream. I wish ther was more beans in my ice cream but can't complain! The workers seem very nice and efficient to to get you in and out. Is is the best gelato? No but it's pretty good. Very pricey based on location
google avatar

Lynn N.

Yelp
Horrible experience. The biggest mess to order. You pay on a kiosk and order everything but your gelato flavors. So they've got your money and then: you wait in a huge glob of people tor someone to call your name--that you can't hear and they can't pronounce. Never again! Plus wait staff kept touching their hair--yuk--while scooping. Ugh!so have lost my appetite--maybe it's a weight loss technique.:-( Maxarons are didgusting: melted, falling apart. I think they've been frozen then thawed. Sooo not worth it!

Yelp
Amorino is a busy place. Thankfully, they have several wall kiosks where customers can place their orders. From crepes to beautiful cones fashioned like flowers, Amorino has delicious sweets. I ordered the crepe and paid at the wall kiosk. The crepes come with two selections of gelato. I ordered an extra scoop. Once my name was called, I was able to have samples of gelato. I selected biscotti, bergamot and pistachio gelato to accompany my crepe. With the pistachio sauce drizzled on top, it was a delicious treat on a hot summer day. I did eat inside and sat at one of the tables behind the serving station. The only drawback were the gnats that were flying around a cookie and a cup of coffee that someone had left at a table. After some moments, I did move the plate and cup to the trash. Any time I find good gelato, I am happy. I will visit again.

Yelp
I got the Mango, Strawberry & Chocolate Ecuador pure origin gelato w/ Pistachio Macaron in the signature rose shaped cone. Really delightfully smooth and fresh flavors. I loved the gelato but the waffle cone was bland. Gelato flavors under the glass were mislabeled. The employee did a great job making the cone but didn't exactly have a positive or friendly personality. I liked the ambience and design of the shop. There's a decent amount of seating and it has a cool European vibe.

Yelp
Right next to Millennium park. It is open late night and there was a rush here for icecream at 10pm Service was good and fast and the icecream was good. They have macaroons on their icecreams as specials and everyone was getting the come with the rose petal shaped flower cones

Yelp
cards on the table, I needed a restroom and would buy whatever they had to make that happen. Their restroom was clean and nice and the blood-orange gelato smoothie I got was strikingly delicious and different than what I was expecting. Thanks for being a tasty life-saver team!

Yelp
Best Affogato I had so far!! The gelato is hands down sooo smooth and healthy YUMM x2!! I got the hazelnut affogato and the hazelnut has a bunch of nuts!! Sooo worth! Get this flavor you will not be disappointed. My date got the classic cone where you can choose I think 3 flavors for the scoops that are kind of lotus shaped. Kind of cool setup. It's right next to the bean and millennium park so can easily walk to it and walk around the park. It gets packed during rush hour so plan to spend 15-30 mins in line. Garage parking underneath the park is worth or just Uber there.

Yelp
Had the best gelato macaron. The Italian hot chocolate was delicious on the snowy day. Great ambiance and trendy vibes.

Yelp
Amorino in downtown Chicago was a delightful discovery, offering a sweet escape with its delectable gelato and gelato macarons. The moment I stepped into this charming gelato shop, I was drawn in by the tantalizing aroma of freshly prepared gelato. The gelato display was a work of art, showcasing a colorful array of flavors and tempting combinations that left me spoiled for choice. What set Amorino apart were their exquisite gelato macarons. These delicate treats perfectly combined the richness of gelato with the elegance of macarons, resulting in a taste sensation that was truly indulgent. Each bite was a delightful fusion of textures and flavors, making it an experience to savor. Amorino provided the perfect respite while exploring downtown Chicago, offering a sweet escape and an opportunity to satisfy one's dessert cravings in a most delightful way. If you're a fan of gelato or macarons, Amorino is an absolute must-visit, and its location in the heart of the city makes it a convenient and delicious stop for both locals and tourists alike.

Yelp
A gelato and dessert place near the museum. It was constantly busy while we were there. You have to order your item first, then you can pick your flavor. I only know because one of the cashiers yelled this out when a big group walked in the door. While the cashiers were not rude, I did think they could've provided better direction as you ordered your item. We ordered gelato and a cappuccino. The cappuccino was a bit bitter. The gelato appeared to be real gelato. They were not heaped in their trays. We tried coffee and bergamot. Bergamot had a lime-like flavor. It did not go well with the coffee. Oh well, my fault. I wanted coffee gelato and wanted to try something different, ergo, we chose the bergamot. We had the option to add a macaron to our order. I chose pistachio. This is the other gelato flavor I normally choose. It's a small place. There is seating, but a few groups can easily take up all the seating. Enjoy!

Yelp
My favorite place for Gelato in Chicago. Be aware that the line gets too long sometimes. Depending on how fast the staff works, anticipate a wait from 15 to 30 min if it's busy. But definitely worth it.

Yelp
Their gelato is delicious. I combined chocolate and coconut and one was decadent creaminess (the chocolate), which lead to the refreshing chill of the coconut. I am tempted to go back and get another cone! A real delight and the servers were friendly and patient.

Yelp
It's worth the hype. Small cone comes with 3 flavors you can choose for the petals and you get one macaroon on top! The gelato drink- we got coffee and tiramisu and it's so good even on a cold day. The backside has some additional seating. It's across from the bean. Can be pricey but I see why there is a long line always. Good and rich gelato.
