The Best Wine Bars in Dallas | Eater Dallas

"Drop in for a glass among the bookshelves of wine at this Bishop Arts shop and bar. Partners Genevieve Weaver and Jessica Martinez have populated the place with bottles of natural wine from vineyards where workers earn fair wages and organic farming is de rigueur. When the weather is nice, make use of it’s wine window — a little ring gets a new glass." - Courtney E. Smith

I arrived at Ampelos Wines dehydrated, weary, and spiritually lost after wandering the desert for what felt like six months. Sustained only by the final drops of water from my Owala (phenomenal bottle, by the way). An elderly couple found me, whispered “say less,” and delivered me to the gayest, most hydrating oasis imaginable. No chemicals. No additives. Just happiness. I was ritually clothed in Greek fabrics, handed wine so good it erased my cortisol, and introduced to a cat named CC who absolutely takes advantage living rent-free and judges everyone. Vivi and Becca bent space-time, poured generously, and somehow made me forget every hardship I’ve ever known. We discussed politics and the state of the world, agreed to disagree, pondered on Dostoevsky’s writing. There was laughter. The was pigeage. There was wine so good I briefly forgave men. Would highly recommend. Changed my life. I may never leave. Please don’t ban me.

Best spot for any wine you’re in the market for. Love that their wines are clean and love that it switches up weekly yet you can always find something you’ll love. Love the owner who is always patient and helps you find what you’re looking for. Favorite spot to open a bottle and catch up with friends and my partner. Vibes are always great. A true neighborhood spot.

Cute wine store. I came specifically on Beaujolais Nouveau day and did a wine flight of wines made in a similar style. A lot of what they carry are wines I'm unfamiliar with, which is always a plus. I definitely need to come back and explore more of the wines.

Best wine bar ever! They’re knowledgeable, friendly, and just the best. It’s so special to have a natural wine bar in the area that allows you to sample all sorts of unique, delectable wines. I visit as often as I can, and so should you.

Charming, laid back wine shop in the bustling bishop arts district. I am not sure how to spell our server’s (or owner’s) name, but I think she said Veevee, anyway she was very cool and welcoming. Great wine menu that is approachable but also interesting. We had an awesome sparkling rosé from Austria, and a full-bodied Riesling. This is a great pit stop when exploring or shopping in Bishop Arts!

This is hands down one of the best wine shops here in Dallas! As soon as stepping in I was immediately taken aback from the great selection here. The service here is one of the friendliest staff of all time and that’s not an exaggeration, as someone that has been interested in natural wines this is the place to go!
