"Kevin Dalgleish is a well-known chef in Aberdeen and his restaurant occupies the spacious basement of a granite townhouse, in a quiet residential neighbourhood yet just minutes from the city centre. Kick off with a drink in the bar or by the wood burning stove. The kitchen use prime Scottish ingredients blended with French techniques to create good-looking dishes that deliver on flavour." - Michelin Inspector

I really enjoyed the starters and will 100% be returning for the lobster dish. The lobster farfalle sauce was a stunning and rich bisque sauce which I scooped up with the sourdough. The scallop starter was my second favourite. I had the soufflé for main course which was little underwhelming and too salty. The bread was perfect and soft with a little hint of sweetness. Overall I found the food quite salty but the service and the curation of dishes were extremely well done. I can’t wait to go back and eat more of the menu and try my hand at some of the desserts!

Based on my visit the restaurant definitely deserves its Michelin mention. Had the chance to try the soup, lobster, deer and chocolate desert together with the wine pairing. The total was 155£, which one should expect as a standard price for this type of experience. The sommelier was a lovely lady who explained all the wines and the pairing was always spot-on. For the food, the only downsides were that the lobster sauce could be probably a bit less intense to allow the lobster itself to shine more and the cabbage truffle for the deer is a bit difficult cut properly, but at this point you can tell I am nitpicking. The restaurant is definitely 4.8-4.9 place.

We went for the six course taster. Was a great experience and loved every dish that was served. The chef managed to alter the ingredients for my partner who is gluten intolerant. Everyone went home with happy tummys...

I was in their establishment Friday the 10th, the restaurant was very quiet, which I liked, we were two colleagues, had a beverage in the bar and decided to order their full automnal experience menu which was delightful. We had the canapés in the bar and then were directed for the dining room by our very gentle and well spoken server, I cannot remember her name, but she was blonde, her service was excellent and she was very knowledgeable. We opted for the French wine pairing and had another bottle at the end of the night which was quite nice. All together a very good experience. The food, extras, pairing and service were all well priced at about £900 for the two of us. Will most certainly be back! So great to have such a fine dining experience in Aberdeen!

Great service from Nicola. Only minor point as a solo diner was shown a table by the door initially even though restaurant only had three tables in. On request I asked to relocate and this was arranged swiftly. Nice choice of non alcoholic wines which was refreshing. Fresh and tasty food. Will return.

Nice food and atmosphere. Waiters made me feel at ease. The Bourguigon sauce and spinach that came with the beef was quite salty. Other than that, everything tasted nice. I’m especially impressed by the cocktail! It’s unlike anything I had drank before and it’s delicious!

Went for the Sunday roast after seeing Kevin feature on the TV program 'Great British Menu'. The food was delicious and plentiful, we all left feeling full and satisfied. Perfectly cooked meat, veg, and I had a fish based starter which was fresh. The waitress / sommelier had some excellent recommendations for wine and made sure our table was kept well throughout the dining experience. We will be back to try their other menus!
