Stumbled upon this restaurant while walking around Anguk and decided to join the queue around 12pm. We waited about two hours, but it was well worth it. We ended up visiting twice in one week during our trip to Seoul. For our second visit, we arrived about half an hour before dinner—tip: go slightly early before the store opens to avoid a long wait.
It’s a small space that seats around 20 people, with a beautifully designed interior—thoughtful lighting and a colour-coordinated menu that ties everything together.
The main dish is a simple yet elevated take on gukbap. The broth is on the lighter side, yet there’s so much depth in the flavours, and the green oil—initially looking decorative—actually brings the whole dish to life. It’s a refined, contemporary spin on a traditional favourite. Staff were warm and friendly, which really stood out compared to many other restaurants we visited in Seoul.
Side dishes were great as well. The sliced pork salad with lime was refreshing and delicious, and the tenderloin cutlet balls were a standout.
Highly recommend if you’re in the area and don’t mind a bit of a wait—we’ll definitely visit again when we’re back in Seoul.
