"With a sign that welcomes guests with the words, “Enlightening Your Savour,” An Nam Pho has been a long-time favorite of people from the Roosevelt neighborhood and beyond. There are four types of broth available (traditional beef, spicy beef, chicken and vegetarian), and large bowls are reasonably priced. The rest of the menu includes other Vietnamese specialties like banh mi and bo kho (beef stew) along with non-Vietnamese dishes like pad thai and teriyaki." - Jay Friedman

Google
Without any doubt the best pho in Seattle! I consider myself incredibly lucky to live just a 5 minute walk from this place but would encourage everyone far and wide to come here. It's so worth it! The staff and atmosphere are both warm and welcoming. The perfect place to spend a rainy evening or after skiing meal.

Ordered a pho (beef broth) and a combo rice plater. Pho broth was really really salty. The rice plate came with literally 3 pieces of shrimp, a piece of pork that didn’t taste fresh, one fried egg, pile of cabbage and rice. Had to mask both in sriracha and chili sauce to finish it. Two stars because it was at least a fair price.

Hhmmm. Food was good. Straight forward and generous portion. Ambiance was okay. Bathrooms need a good cleaning and often. The server whispered mostly. I asked her to move closer and to speak up. She backed away and spoke softer as a result. God help her or put her in the kitchen.

Google
An Nam is my absolute go-to for pho. It's a solid, no-frills establishment that consistently delivers delicious, comforting bowls of pho. The spicy beef broth is rich and flavorful, the noodles are right size and consistency. Only wish they'd add a bit more meat. The staff is friendly, making the whole experience pleasant. If you're looking for authentic, unpretentious pho without any unnecessary fuss, An Nam is the place to be. Highly recommend!

Google
This place has the best pho in Seattle!! Hands down. I have tried many other places closer to me, but I keep coming back to An Nam. The broth is to die for! Friendly staff, peaceful atmosphere with big tables. I am never hurried out. There is never a rush to get out. Their iced coffee is delicious. Totally a great experience!

Google
Delicious and fresh pho! Staff is super nice and friendly! They also have a stamp card where you can get a discount after ordering a couple times. Great place to get various Vietnamese dishes!

Anne

Google
Barely any meat in pho - broth was on the sweet side as well. Server was very attentive & quick but the food left something to be desired.

Google
Amazing chicken pho. The broth is amazing With a dash of lemon squeeze and Basil leaves, the pho is aromatic and healing. Will go again

Yelp
This is one of the best pho places you can find. It's family-owned, which brings a warm and welcoming atmosphere that you just can't beat. Their servings are incredibly generous, and the prices are very affordable--perfect for a comforting meal without breaking the bank. **The combo pho is a must-try!** It's packed with a variety of delicious meats and a hearty, flavorful broth that you'll savor with every bite. Seriously, you'll never regret ordering it. If you're looking for a top-notch pho experience, this place should be your go-to. --- Happy pho-ing!

Beini P.

Yelp
Nice hearty pho and bho ko! Super fresh spring rolls with shrimp and grilled pork! No complaints!

Katherine Y.

Yelp
Solid spot for a good bowl of pho! Their vegetarian pho is great, too. I always also order the fresh rolls and taro bubble tea (icy)!

Christine C.

Yelp
A great neighborhood pho place! I recently moved to Roosevelt and I'm so happy to have this pho place in walking distance to me. I didn't expect much from this pho place but it is INCREDIBLE. I got their spicy pho (different from bon bu hue) and it was amazing! I have not seen spicy pho at many places but this was a very pleasant surprise. The service was great and it was reasonably priced. I look forward to coming here many times!

Amanda ..

Yelp
Ordered small brisket pho and pork and shrimp spring roll. The pho broth was good, however not enough meat portion to amount of noodles. So much noodles, not enough meat to balance. I was excited to try the "special roll" which is pork and shrimp spring roll, but was disappointed. Again, the not enough meat. The meat is very skinny and tiny... not worth it

Deji O.

Yelp
Do not go here! Full stop. Been going the last 2 years but after my most recent couple of experiences, it is not worth! The owner has not been in town since the new year and despite multiple request to honor their stamp card, they are saying it's now invalid. This is not a good way to treat a loyal customer! Stay away!

Alan Z.

Yelp
Fast service and decent pho. I get the large and they tend to give a lot more soup and less noodle than needed so I feel like it would be good to get extra noodles. The broth is pretty good and tends to be flavorful. Nothing really special though.

Jay H.

Yelp
I visited it, and ordered the Pho. Food itself is good. The clerk is also kind. The menu listed here needs to be updated.

Ariella N.

Yelp
We got the steak and brisket pho, small sized ($10.95). The noodles, broth, and meat were all really good. The meat was served just right and not overcooked (which pho places tend to do alot). I much prefer this place over Ong Lam down the street, since it is much cheaper and I honestly like the taste better. This place also has other pho broth options-- chicken/vegetarian.

Francesca S.

Yelp
Good service, good price ($12 regular), but the pho was not on par with the other Vietnamese restaurants I've had in Seattle like Pho Bac and Pho Than Bros.

Kristin H.

Yelp
A solid back-to-basics type restaurant with great value - definitely more so than other Vietnamese restaurants in the Roosevelt area. I ordered a small combo pho and it had everything I expected for a pho dac biet. The portion size was more than enough and the meat to noodle ratio was great. A great lunch spot for a chilly day. The staff were kind and service was quick. No complaints for this place - will be back in the future!

Yelp
This is my neighborhood Vietnamese restaurant and I've come here a couple times for both dine-in and take-out. An Nam is conveniently located near the Roosevelt light rail station. They serve authentic Vietnamese cuisine and sell Thai food as well. Their prices are pretty good compared to other places that I've seen in the Seattle area (not even just for Vietnamese food but in general). In the past I've ordered the large steak and brisket pho ($10.95) as well as the grilled pork vermicelli noodles ($10.95). The meat on the pho was good and the broth was flavorful. The grilled pork in the vermicelli bowl was very tender. Both were great deals for the price and some of their other dishes like their banh mi were also solid. The times I dined in, we were seated away quickly and received good service. The food came out quickly and the staff was always friendly. This is one of those neighborhood mom-and-pop restaurants that I will gladly support again and again.

Yelp
Very interesting lunch at An Nam Pho. Well, we went for the pho, what the name tells they should be pro at. Somehow, Pho did come except there was no side of fresh basil , bean sprouts, jalapeño and lime. It's not that such plates were not prepared and sitting at the counter. Not that we were there during busy times. I guess, it just didn't occur to them what they are supposed to serve with a large order of pho. Sorry, folks, that's a reason for one less star. Polite and courteous team of young men taking care of the restaurant, customers and take out orders. These days most of such restaurants are so busy and making their $$$ on take out that dining in customer really don't matter. Do you experience the same? Well, you are not alone. It's the new way of running restaurants. Make more $$$ on take out that it's a burden to take care of dining in customers.

Yelp
really good vietnamese food. the chicken wings are soooo worth it! they were tender, juicy, crispy and fell right off the bone. the sauce that it came with was also super good. their pho broth was very good and the noodles and meat portion was worth the price. their vietnamese coffee was strong and just how i liked it! would definitely be my go to if parking wasn't so inconvenient. staff are great and super good service.

Sabine P.

Yelp
Love this spot! It's my new go-to pho restaurant. All the servers were really nice to us. Pho is consistently really good. My favorite part is the stamp system they have which keeps us coming back! Never too busy, but they're always quick! Lots of seating and nothing too fancy but a perfect little pho spot!

Celina S.

Yelp
This was disappointing. We ordered the spring roll with shrimp and pork and it each piece had 1 shrimp and 1 sliver of pork such that half of the spring roll was just lettuce. The pho was also below average. The broth was quite weak and they skimped on meat portion. My bowl had 5 small pieces of brisket.

Andrew Y.

Yelp
Only tried the bahn mi today. Price is good compared to other sandwich shops. The sandwich itself could have been better. Meat was mostly salty meat in bread...so can't really be horrible...but on the dry side and lacked depth...if you are looking for that quality in food. Service was super nice, though...I may go back and try their regular menu items...hoping for a better experience. Great location being a couple blocks from the Roosevelt station. Go Huskies!

Yelp
An Nam Pho has the best beef stew in town. It comes with rice or French bread. It tastes like homemade by my mom. It becomes my son's & my husband's favorite. Try it & you will agree with me. I & my family have been dining at An Nam Pho since we arrived Seattle 2 yrs ago. They always serve good food & they always give us the best customer service...Thank you Chris!! You are the best!! I doubt very much the customer Jon P's comments.

Cole K.

Yelp
Went for lunch and was greeted warmly and seated quickly. Nice lunch crowd with mostly pickup orders. In door seating only and not packed. Lunch portions are huge and provided ability to share. Our party ordered a lemongrass dish and 3 types of Pho. Prices were reasonable too. Definitely recommend for lunch and seems like a good dinner spot too.

Alex T.

Yelp
amazing service and great prices for their large steak pho serving! menu is quite diverse and i'm sure to come back!

Chris L.

Yelp
We just got off a plane and was happy to find a pho restaurant. The restaurant was quiet when we entered, but considering it was in the afternoon that was not surprising. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and the place was clean. Pho was on our minds so we ordered 2 beef with tendon pho bowls. The herbs they gave us were not very fresh- like they've been sitting on water for some time as the bean sprouts were quite yellow. Then the noodles came out and even though they were small size bowls, we had 1 piece of tendon, each with maybe 3 slices of beef. I'm not sure if that's norm in Seattle, but we were disappointed. Taste test. Holy crap it was salty. The flavors were fine, but the salt level was stroke-inducing. I'm wondering if the cook had an accident or just prefers high blood pressure. PLEASE adjust your sodium levels for everyone's sake.

Alice L.

Yelp
Although the prices here are great, I'm not the biggest fan of the broth. It's missing a special something that makes the pho shine through. It's also served a bit cold. I also tried the summer rolls, and there was just something off about the sauce.

Vanessa L.

Yelp
Needed a place to eat while I was in the area and found this to comfort our hunger. In a group of 5, we all ordered different types of pho. Except one ordered chicken teriyaki. I ordered the steak and tripe pho, small. We all ordered smalls, but they were bigger than we all expected. The broth wasnt watered down and had flavor. Was a bit short on meat than noodles. More generous on the noodles than the meat. The teriyaki was coated with sauce, but didnt drown the meat. Overall, we will come back here again. Good pho to enjoy for dinner.

Mari v.

Yelp
Came here on a weekday lunch rush (local high school lunch time) and the staff was doing the MOST to make sure everyone was still taken care of. Literally running laps around the tables! I got the small pho, and the broth was super flavorful. Will def stop by again~

Alex D.

Yelp
The brisket and beef pho is so good . It's so full of flavor. It's definitely my favorite pho spot!

Andrew W.

Yelp
Best pho in the north side. Always quiet and cozy inside. The price is great and near Roosevelt

Will L.

Yelp
I was out shopping in the area, saw the reviews, so thought I'd give it a try. Lunch hour, place was probably about half-full. Not a bad sign. I ordered the Chicken Pho (with chicken broth), and a Thai tea, for take-out. The young woman working the counter was new and made a small mistake. I didn't notice it, but the other person working the counter politely corrected her. No big, really. However, it was nice to see how polite they were to each other. The same with me too. I sat down to wait for my order, expecting to wait 5-10 minutes. Nope. I barely had time to sit, and the food was ready and brought to where I was sitting. I don't know how they could possibly have made it that fast. The woman was all smiles at my astonishment. Anyway, I got home, opened it all up, prepped a bowl for the noodles, the chicken, the various veggies and sauces, the lime, and the broth, and had myself one very nice meal. Tasty, fresh, and a nice complement to a cold day. Definitely coming back.

Doinb L.

Yelp
This place is amazing. I am here in Seattle for 3 months, and I come to this place almost 2-3 times a week. Everything is good. And the stir fried noodles and fried rice are unexpectedly good. I grew up in an Asian country and I know how to make fried rice and fried noodles. Honestly, I don't order fried rice or noodles in a restaurant because I can make it myself. It's the easiest dish to make but it's also easy to get wrong. A bad example would be JAMIE OLIVER's egg fried rice. After I taste their fried rice, my friend and I both agreed this is the best fried rice we've ever had in the US.

Mira D.

Yelp
authentic vietnamese restaurant right off the roosevelt light rail station. menu has an assortment of pho, vermicelli, and even thai food. pretty good prices too (very reasonable) // large pho with steak // pho was good--noodles and meat were cooked well. the broth was quite salty though. // chicken pad thai // good portion size. the pad thai was a bit tomato-y and didn't have a strong fish sauce flavor. not the most authentic but still tasted good. service was fast and friendly! overall, a nice quick spot to eat.

Archana R.

Yelp
Excellent pho, banh mi, fresh rolls and the best fried rice. Uncle rogert will be proud of you. Fast service and really clean.

Chelsia L.

Yelp
Ever since moving to this neighbourhood, An Nam has been my go-to viet restaurant! My doubts and curiosities were met with delicious and authentic bahn mi's (YUM! They have the pate and everything!), pho, and viet coffee. I love this neighborhood spot and I'm glad that most people feel the same way! Just bringing the conversation back to the bahn mi, please don't leave this place without trying the pork bahn mi! Not the BBQ one, the regular one. It's on par with the ones you get in I.D.!

Jason L.

Yelp
Best bang for your buck in roosevelt. I get a small 2.11 Pho every time. Recommend coming here for a quick meal not for fancy smancy behaviour.

Diana A.

Yelp
The food here is amazing! I came to visit from Oklahoma and the customer service was just as friendly as it is back home. The waitress was super nice and our food was brought out quick. It's a quiet little place not super crazy loud you could come in to eat and study or catch up with a friend. Overall I think this a nice little spot for great food and amazing prices.

Souliphanh V.

Yelp
This vietnamese restaurant is so good. Its a must if you love quality pho soup. I went in 5pm, a lot of clean tables available. The utensils are also great, spoon and chop sticks all right size big bowl pho the spoon wasn't falling in the bowl like some spots.. lol the flavor so delicious good on a rainy seattle evening. Include meat balls fresh home made, and brisket steak inside. I also ordered appetizer fresh spring roll with shrimp and ham. Was fast and super fresh i can tell the rice paper was warm and melt in my mouth with dipping sauce and even the vegetables was clean and crispy & crunchy.

Shayne D.

Yelp
Came in on a whim when the other place we wanted try was closed. Greeted immediately by a very friendly gentleman who was only one working besides whoever was cooking. Ordered spring rolls, chicken wings, chicken pad Thai and beef stir fry crispy noodle. Service was very friendly and did not wait long for food to come out. Pad Thai was a good dish that I would re order, the beef stir fry with crispy noodle was well it was good but that's about all lacking flavor. Spring rolls well they where spring rolls... The issue comes with the fried chicken wings, came out not really fried so sent them back, came out but there is ZERO flavor basically tossed in cornstarch then fried....yes should of tried the pho and will come back to try that out....just an overall "Ehhhh, it was Ok" feeling.

Carinka M.

Yelp
Service was good but me and my party of four all had better pho elsewhere. Broth was a little salty for the beef pho. For the seafood pho we weren't fans of the fish balls and small amount of shrimp. Tasted a little strange. But overall not a terrible place to stop by if you are in the area.

Whitney R.

Yelp
This place has good Pho. I always compare this with my home made Pho and it has great flavor. We ordered a few small bowls and they are priced great. We had steak. The server was fast and friendly. I will be back again for sure when we are i the area.

Kieu T.

Yelp
Have been here a couple times now since it's down the street from my apartment. It's a little tucked away, so it can be hard to spot, but inside is pretty spacious. I was greeted right away each time and seated immediately as the place isn't too busy. I ordered the combo pho. It comes with rare beef, tendon, tripe, beef balls, and flank steak. The broth is super flavorful, but may be a bit salty for me. I think the general public will like it though. I always eat pho with egg noodles instead of rice noodles so I can't comment on the texture of the rice noodles, but the texture of the egg noodles was perfect. I also get the combo banh mi when I go. I like mine with a little bit more pate, so that's my only complaint, but the meats are cooked perfectly. I wish they had the original combination (cha lua, jambon, and head cheese) but they don't. I always ask for the banh mi to go, so it's nice that they put all the veggies on the side to prevent the sandwich from getting soggy.

M J.

Yelp
Their pho has always been reliable but lately I've been getting turned off... for example, two weeks ago we were sat at a table that had a pile of fried rice spilled on it. It didn't really seem like the server cared as they wiped it up. My soup spoon was also pretty dirty and the water cup condition made me unsure of if it was a used or new cup of water. On top of that the fried egg rolls we ordered were not that crunchy and soaked in oil- so much oil to where if you touched it with your fingers your fingers would be wet.. and the pho wasn't as hot as it should have been. When I brought this up to the server all he said was that he'd tell the chef. Ok.. I decided to give them another go last week because they've normally been fine. I got takeout pho and the broth was way clearer than pho broth should be (photo). Tasting it was another story... it was so salty and literally inedible. I'm not sure what happened but this is not ok! I had to dump their broth and use Instant chicken stock I had on hand... Unfortunately, I'll be skipping An Nam Pho from now on.

Teresita C.

Yelp
We have our favorites for Vietnamese food but we wanted to pick something convenient to our friend's home. We ordered early (about 5pm on a Saturday) and it must have been the golden hour because our food was ready to go as soon as we arrived. We ordered bahn mi, a couple veggie appetizers and the lemongrass vermicelli w/tofu. It was absolutely delicious and the portion size was generous. The bahn mi were traditional bahn mi size but if you're a hearty eater maybe buy two? I noticed the sandwich prices are a bit higher than many of our go-to spots but the flavors were all there. Friendly service as a bonus, we will add An Nam Pho to our list of faves.

Sarah C.

Yelp
This is my new go-to spot!! The food is delicious & you get a generous portion for a decent price. I ordered the chicken stir fry noodles & asked for tofu with it. I also got a taro slush. Everything tasted so good & fresh. Definitely will be ordering more food from here in the near future.

Maddie N.

Yelp
Excellent food, fast, and some of the best service I've experienced at a restaurant point blank. Highly recommend this place and their team.

Wen H.

Yelp
I like the food here! They're nice and friendly. The food always comes out quick which makes it super convenient for a quick lunch. I'm not a huge fan of the water they serve. They leave it out and you don't know how long its been sitting there and it doesn't taste good. Has a very metal stale taste.

Courtney J.

Yelp
This place was AMAZING! If I could give it 6 or even 7 stars, I would. We called one afternoon while my sister had an hour gap before an interview and we were starving. I hadn't been feeling that great the last week, with a sore throat, so I was super craving some comforting soup/broth, and pho fit the ticket. My sister is a lover of fried rice, so we found this spot just up the street. I wanted beef broth- which is one of the cool things about this place, you can select your broth and meat separately! I got beef broth with chicken in it. My sister went with the chicken fried rice with a side of broccoli (only $2 extra, and they loaded her up with broccoli!) We have been trying a few different spots with pho and fried rice recently, and so far, this spot is by far our favorite! The portions were hearty, first of all. Total, we paid about $26 (I think including tip) and we felt it was an awesome bang for our buck. I got an entire soup to-go container of just broth and a separate jam-packed to-go box full of all the addings: sriracha, hoisin, bean sprouts, basil, lime (lots! enough!), chicken, noodles, all the fixings! My sister's fried rice was FABULOUS with FLAVOR! We have tried a few places where it seems to just be rice, chicken, and a few veggies with no additional flavor. This one was yummy and reminded her fondly of our old favorite restaurant back home where she used to love to get fried rice. My broth was so delicious and so comforting, and my sore throat went away almost completely the next day after having some of the worst throat pain I had had in a long time. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, and cannot wait to return for my next pho fix! :)

Larisa L.

Yelp
great service and love the bun (vermicelli) salad dish. I get the lemon grass chicken version and lots of chicken & veggies & light on the noodles. Love the presentation and the owner prepared mine. The fish sauce is perfect too. I live in Kenmore so don't get down there much. Took the bus down yesterday bc i was wanting some Vietnamese food & it was worth the trip. I would have to say this was the one of the best bun dishes I've ever had and I've eaten a lot of VN food over the decades.

Heidi M.

Yelp
Pretty good spot for a bowl of pho. I have been here several times while visit my son at UW. We always start with their egg rolls...even though they are not super healthy..they are yummy!! I recommend the chicken pho an the veggie pho with tofu! Friendly staff,, clean bathrooms, lots of parking on the street.

Adar R.

Yelp
Best veggie pho. I'm not vegetarian and I will go here specifically for the veggie and tofu pho. Their veggie broth is full in flavor and delicious, not watery or flat like I have found in other veggie broths. I like to ask for a side of their fried onions to add to the broth (sometimes they're not sure what I'm asking for, so I tell them it's what comes with the seafood pho and that usually helps). Also always friendly!

Jessica P.

Yelp
The pho and broth was delicious and the meat was tender but the spring -- great comfort food after a long hike!

David H.

Yelp
An Nam has some pretty solid pho. I definitely enjoyed my takeout order here. Pho is all about the broth, and the broth here is great. It's a little sweeter than your traditional broth, but that's not a bad thing! The noodles and meat toppings were all delicious and the pricing was standard for pho restaurants, at $8.50 for a regular and $9.50 for a large. There are many other options available such as banh mi, pad Thai, vermicelli bowls, rice plates, and many appetizers. Service was very respectful both on the phone and in person. The place looked clean and I would definitely like to come back once in person dining resumes. If you're in the area and are craving some pho, you can't go wrong with An Nam Pho.
