I got introduced to this organization few years ago. As a student of social sciences and passion for volunteer work, there is little that someone can match what this organization does all year around. From furniture drives round the clock to toy drives for kids, women conferences to mental health discussion, from mentor ship programs to local body relief effort during crisis like Harvey, from supporting refugees from various origins to helping married couples, from drug abuse addiction to interfaith events and the list can go on and on. They r probably the only type of non profit that has zero person on wages. Everything is based on the love to do good and spread good. The teams that work are full of energy and compassion and would go over and beyond to take care of their An Nisa family members. Predominantly comprised of women as the English translation of An Nisa means “The Women” they truly showed the love a mother would have for their kids to help with communities across the Houston and Greater Houston area irrespective of race / color / religion / gender. They have impacted many households and families and it’s our duty to support and back up organizations like these that are relentless and selfless in their pursuit to build bridges and nurture them and resolve what ever issues they can for such needy communities. If you have a good program in mind and need to make it reach the masses and can put things together, An Nisa will help back you up as long as it has a trickle down effect on the community. They need support to encourage them, to back the up, to recognize their effort and propel them even forward. I am fortunate to know that such organization exists in my Houston home town and will try to help support them however for as long as I can because I trust them to do the right thing for those that need the help. God bless the team at An Nisa - wish you immense success that you may continue to be the beacon of hope for all of us. Thank you.
