The Best Restaurants to Try Nearby Angel Stadium in Anaheim | Eater LA

"This upscale Italianate dinner destination is for fine dining lovers who also want to be steeped in a bit of history. Despite suffering a massive fire in 2017, this historic restaurant dates to 1909 and still serves steaks, pastas, and plenty of wine." - Farley Elliott

How Restaurant Fires Start — and How to Prevent Them | Eater

"After a voicemail alerted the French-born Italian chef in the early hours, he rushed to find the restaurant reduced to ashes; investigators traced the blaze to a faulty electrical outlet in the dining room. Smoke damage forced a complete kitchen rebuild even though the fire did not start there, the exterior was restored to approximate its 1909 appearance, and the business finally reopened 15 months later on May 4. The owner worked to place 50 staff members in jobs within 30 days, and 80 percent of the original team returned when the doors reopened. Rebuilding delayed the busy season, cost millions in lost sales, went $500,000 over budget, and insurance covered building damage only partially while contents and lost income were not covered — the decision to reopen was framed as a personal redemption after nearly 30 years of running the place." - Siobhán Brett

Came here for my sisters bridal shower dinner. There was 14 of us. It’s such a beautiful place. Especially in the evening. We sat outside which is so spacious. At night the trees light up and it’s even prettier. Our server Jay was awesome. He made sure to check up on us constantly and got our order and food at a decent amount of time. The food was delicious!!! We ordered appetizers, pastas, steak and dessert. And it was all amazing. Reservation process was easy and even though I had to change the amount of people a few times they were super nice every time I called to change it or responded quick on the Open table app. Totally recommend this restaurant for special occasions.

Such a beautiful place and the food and service was absolutely incredible! We went two nights in a row. Bryan Peterson made the experience so special. The tour of the house and its story was just wonderful. We were in Anaheim for a week and found it the last two nights. Their mission and story is heartwarming and so admirable. Such an exceptional experience.

What an amazing experience! I will definitely be revisiting this amazing restaurant. From the wonderful service, to fantastic food the atmosphere was unexpected charm. First class service wasn’t the only inspired part, but the incredible story of how many hungry children they feed. Ate there 2 nights in a row and it was absolutely worth it!

An Unforgettable Dining Experience at Anaheim White House Restaurant Dining at the Anaheim White House Restaurant was truly one of the best experiences I've ever had. A hidden gem in the heart of Anaheim, this fine dining gem offers more than just amazing food, it delivers a story, a mission, and hospitality that leaves a lasting impression. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. We were warmly welcomed and treated like family, and the evening only got better from there. The gourmet Italian dishes were absolutely amazing, every dish was thoughtfully crafted, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. It was so impressive that we came back the very next night during our short visit to Anaheim! A special highlight of our experience was meeting Bryan, the manager, who went above and beyond to share the rich history of the Anaheim White House and its inspiring mission. We were touched to learn that a portion of every dollar spent helps feed local children in need through the restaurant's nonprofit initiative. It’s rare to find a place where luxury and philanthropy, come together so seamlessly. To top it all off, we were given a private tour of the historic mansion, adding another layer of charm to an already magical evening. If you're looking for the best fine dining in Anaheim, with world-class food, outstanding service, and a heartwarming story behind it all, I can’t recommend the Anaheim White House enough. Whether you're visiting Disneyland, attending a convention like we were, or just looking for a special night out, this is one place you absolutely must experience!

My gf took me here for my bday. Love this restaurant. Love the lights on the tree outside in the front. Staffs were nice. Food was great. Especially got to spend quality time with people I care about. Romantic, classy, cozy ambiance.

Elegance, stylist and unique! What a beautiful restaurant! We come here for the first time but it seems like we already know the place for a long time. The reason is we listen to KFI640 and every year they would the station would team up with the Anaheim White House for the so call PastaThon to benefit the Caterina's Club. Every year they would set a new record raising so many pounds of pasta so they can provide for the needy. What a great way to give back to society. So we always wanted to find out how this infamous local place is like. The moment we walked in, we keep saying wow, wow, wow .. the furniture, the decor, the setting of the dining rooms and outdoor are just exceptional. I really recommend dressing up a little bit to fit the setting although I don't think they have a dress code. I might be wrong. But dressing up a little bit to go to such a nice place is a treat by itself! We ordered the fish and steak. The food is outstanding as well. Service was a bit slow, don't know if that's the way it is or it was just busy. Overall it was a dining experience that can't be forgotten! FYI, Parking is all valet and it's $6.

Our experience at the Anaheim White House was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. It was my first time dining here, and we were warmly welcomed by Chef Bruno— a gracious and memorable touch that set the tone for the evening. We started with the fresh calamari and their house salad with a passion fruit vinaigrette — both were outstanding. For dinner, I had the Atlantic Cod, which was cooked to perfection and truly exceptional. We ended the evening with their signature dessert, the soufflé, and it was nothing short of phenomenal. Every detail of the meal and the atmosphere reflected elegance and genuine hospitality.

Google
This is our go to place to celebrate any and everything! The staff is amazing, and Bruno always comes by to chat. We went for my hubby's birthday last night and he got the veal sweetbreads, and I got braised rabbit. Both were fantastic, but my favorite thing on the menu is the grand marnier souffle. Hands down the best one I've ever tried (and I've tried a lot)

Yelp
Amazing! Loved it! Although I wouldn't order the flavorless seared Ahi, although it clearly of good quality. I would order the liver again and again, spectacular. We will be back. Service and ambiance outside was fabulous.

Yelp
Came here for a networking event and I absolutely loved the atmosphere. This is a really nice place and I loved the food. I felt like the service was a little slow even though it wasn't busy but it's okay. Wish I could've gotten more pics but I didn't want to be rude. I will admit that I had a hard time finding it because it's kinda hidden in plain sight next to Ted's Burgers and I expected it to be a bigger place. Amazing staff and loved the food.

Yelp
First time to dine at the Anaheim White House, this is a hidden gem in OC. Ambiance is Incredible, once you're inside the complex you wouldn't believe that you are in Oc. Seems like you are in another era. Food is delicious m, had the calamari frites for appetiser and the 10z hanger steak. Love the chimicchuri sauce. Service is top notch. Will be back

Yelp
Apparently I've passed by this place a ton of times and never knew about it! So, you can imagine my surprise when we made a turn into The White House and I was greeted with a lovely venue and an ever better dinner. After celebrating my birthday all day, we arrived here at 6pm, were greeted by the hostess, and seated outside in the garden. First things first. This place is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful gold and white decor. The best part about the time of our reservation was that after about an hour, when it got dark, the trees were illuminated and made the mood of the whole garden whimsical. We started with a bottle of red from Napa which was the perfect blend of fruity and dry. The pork belly was probably one of the best i've had. Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I could have happily eaten that all day. The caesar salad was super unique and featured a rice paper edible plate. The rice paper was a great touch and added an additional level of crispiness which was great. For an entree, we shared a plate of carbonara (probably the best i've had in a while - so flavorful) and the 22 oz T-bone. For dessert, we shared my birthday dessert plate. The creme brûlée was absolutely my favorite of the desserts, but I could totally be biased since it is my favorite dessert of all time. Finally, to finish everything off, we had espressos with some liquor in it. What a wonderful birthday dinner! I'm so lucky to have people in my life that want to make me feel special on my little day and i'm equally as happy that I got to spend some of my great day at The White House.

Yelp
First off the ambiance is this place is amazing! It's just so pretty and opulent! I didn't really know what to expect as it's located in the middle of a busy area next door to a burger joint. Once you enter the driveway and walk up the ramp, you see a beautiful historic home and a pretty tent covered "front yard" dining area with twinkling flower lights in the trees, perfect for hosting a special event or just a nice dinner. My kids were thrown off with the dining experience as they felt like they were eating in a living room, which it probably was at one point. Next to where we were dining was a "sun room" that would be fun to be seated in also! I explored upstairs and there is a spacious bar area along with a restroom and a couple of the bedrooms that were converted to dining areas as well. So cute. We came here to celebrate my oldest son's birthday. We ordered a few drinks, gluten free Penne Amatriciana, penne Carbonara, Cacio e Pepe, margherita pizza and the Whitefish Florentine. We also ordered for dessert the tiramisu, and the soufflé El Niño, and our server brought out a celebration plate of 3 mini desserts with a candle for my son's birthday. Everything we had was great. The presentation of the food was so pretty. The pizza was a bit on the soggy side due to the tomatoes that were on there but the taste was still good. They have gluten free penne as a pasta option and vegetarian options as well for those with these dietary needs. I can't say enough about our server, she was great. She was so so nice and attentive and made our evening memorable. As a matter of fact, every staff member I encountered here took the time to greet me. I'd love to come back here again for another special occasion! Highly recommend.

Yelp
We came here for Restaurant Week - the service and food were impeccable. Suzanne was our server and she ran a tight ship throughout the night, always checking on us and making sure everything was to our liking. The Restaurant Week Menu consisted of an appetizer, salad, entree, and dessert for $60. I chose the penne carbonara, white house greens, angus filet mignon, and tiramisu. There was also complimentary house bread and butter. The penne carbonara had pasta with Pecorino and Parmesan cheeses, egg, sautéed bacon and black pepper. It was rich and creamy while the pasta was cooked al-dente to tenderness. The angus filet mignon was the 6 oz portion of tenderloin and served with mixed mushrooms in Italian Porcini sauce. It was very tender, had a nice sear, and cooked to my liking (medium rare). The tiramisu was perfect to cap off the night, which was light and cake was moist. We brought our two year old with us and the staff interacted with her to keep her entertained. The chef and GM also came out to ask patrons how everything was, which was a nice touch.

Yelp
Eric is the best bartender and he made me the blueberry lemon drop I have been crazing since last time we dined here in January. He's adorable and knows how to make the best cocktails! Last time we were here we had the escargot which was delicious and gluten free and the cod which was pretty tasty. This time I'm not particularly hungry so I am going for the calamari piccata and the tuna tartare both gluten free! Tuna Tartare had too much chili oil so I'm not recommending this dish One star off for the valet parking situation. The guy who pulled our car up was wearing TONS of the WORST and STRONGEST cologne and it permeated the entire car so now I'm super nauseous and might barf up my dinner.

Yelp
My husband and I came here to celebrate our 8 year anniversary and we had a wonderful time the restaurant itself is beautiful we sat in the garden with all the pretty lights the ambience and setting was so romantic our waiter was absolutely fantastic! We had champagne and wine to start off the night the bread they brought out was so soft and delicious my steak was cooked perfectly my husband loved his pasta at the end of our main course our waiter brought out our desserts that said happy anniversary we had a chocolate cake that was soooooooo good and a crème brûlée that was also very good and a small raspberry slice of cake that was very nice. I'm so happy we came here for our anniversary dinner definitely would come again and would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to have a romantic dinner with that special someone.

Yelp
Came here for a romantic date night and it was very special. The staff is very attentive and the chef and managers will interact with the customers. Their wine selection is nice and the food was tasty. The braised rabbit was a little dry but it is rabbit. The polenta was the best I've had. The tiger shrimps were large and juicy. The cavil de pepe was cooked nicely. Valet parking only. Great spot to take pictures, everything is beautifully plated.

Yelp
Exceptional service! Food was delicious as well! We came here for our 10th year Anniversary as I wanted to try somewhere "new" and it did not disappoint. White fish was good and my husband liked his pasta. After we were done eating we explored the upstairs bar area. This restaurant is so unique and on a Wednesday night still impressively packed! Definitely get a reservation and have cash for valet tip. The only thing I did not like was that the waitress forgot my husbands coke for 15 mins and had to ask 3x. And that my virgin mojito was not muddled and the worst one I had ever had. It was not a mojito at all. Too sweet not sure what the bartender used as I get them everywhere else just fine.

Yelp
We were so excited to eat at the White House! The ambience certainly didn't disappoint, with the indoor and outdoor decor being very elegant and welcoming. The service was also very good. We started with cocktails: a glass of Cabernet, Berry Mojito, and the 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. no disappoints there! Very flavorful and pretty! The appetizers were also good. The pork belly was cooked well and the tuna tartare was also good. For entrees, we had the gnocchi, which was as stated. I think I would have enjoyed it more paired with a protein and the pink color was unexpected but did not impact the taste. My husband had the veal and enjoyed it. The kids as the Italian Pizza and thought it was as good as our waitress explained it would be. Can't go wrong with prosciutto and cheese! For dessert, we had crème brûlée and tiramisu and they were great. Probably our favorites! 4 STARS! The ambience is worth 4 stars. Also good service. Food was good. Not the best Italian, but a good representation. I would definitely say go and try it!

Yelp
I enjoyed a delicious filet mignon and my husband had his first "rabbit"; we had their beautifully decorated house salad with soup and brussels sprouts for dinner. It's been a while since I had an old-fashioned Grand Marnier Soufflé served with a trio of sauces: chocolate ganache, crème anglaise, and Chantilly cream... it was so fluffy and light! Yummy After dinner, we had a mini tour of this gorgeous restaurant!!! Love their Chihuly glass artworks

Yelp
The white house is lovely, so amazing for pictures. Dinner was was lovely and Suzanne was great. Started with the caesar salad, soo yummy would definitely order again. We ordered the calamari piccata, the filet mignon, margherita pizza, and tuna tartar. Calamari piccata was scrumptious as I remembered. The filet mignon was a little dry and the sauce was bitter, which made the polenta bitter. The margherita pizza was soggy and there were fresh tomatoes on it, wasn't your classic margherita pizza. The tuna tartar was fresh, but was bland. HIGHLY DIDNT APPRECIATE VALET, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! INCREDIBLY RUDE. My family and I were appreciating the ambiance and taking pictures outside after dinner. My dad got the car from valet and waited by the exit and a younger valet guy with curly hair said to my dad, "hey man, there's two hour parking out there." There was plenty of space, we weren't blocking him and we were just on our way out. My second time here & he left me with a bad experience. I spoke to the other valet guy in person, older man and asked him for the younger man's name. He responded to me and said "what do you need" in a discourteous tone. I called the front desk afterward and she also didn't seem to care much about my experience with valet. I guess they're just all rude and don't care about their customers. Such a contrast to the friendly waiters inside.

Yelp
I went to Anaheim White House as a party of 9. We loved the aesthetic- so bright! We were seated in a glass room, which was great for people watching and feeling like you were in a bustling restaurant but maintaining a volume suitable for discussions. Really beautiful details on the table and throughout the establishment. We were greeted by our waitress who informed us there would be two others helping with our service. We ordered drinks and appetizers and before you know it, the other server was there. Now, I LOVE that there was ample attention to our table. However, it seemed like two of our servers were competing with each other and not communicating at all. So there were multiple attempts by each to do the same thing. It became a little awkward and intrusive. Appetizers were fantastic. Salads and soups were delicious. Then we ordered our entrees and some white chocolate mashed potatoes for the whole table to try. We had one person at our table modify her dish slightly, which required more explaining than it should have, probably my dining mate's fault. Our food arrived and we were all heavily anticipating these raved about mashed potatoes. They were absolutely not for me. Or any of us except for one person. I am not sure how these have gained the notoriety they have. Very unpleasant, IMO. Entrees were good. I ordered the veal, and while the flavors were fantastic, the presentation was sloppy- dirty edges of the plate and a pool of light brown mush. Portion size was perfect. My dining mate with the modified order did not receive the order with the mods. So after all that discussion, it came out unmodified. She sent it back and when it came back, the modifications had been appeased but they left out the meat and it was not very good. She went home hungry because it had just gotten too difficult to keep going back and forth with the different servers. We were stuffed, except for the difficult order, so we skipped dessert. The ending speech from one of the waitresses was a little over the top and followed by the other waitress coming over to say she wished she'd gotten to give us the farewell and thank you speech. It was awkward. While I love the captain, assistant, and expo service structure, they did not have this figured out and it felt like sisters competing for their busy parents love and affection. Overall, it was a decent experience. I would return for a great meeting place to have appetizers and drinks and enjoy the scenery.

Yelp
My husband organized a dinner here for my birthday, and it was all of our first times and I have to say it did not disappoint! We were a group of 6 and we got sat in a beautiful private glass enclosed room that is in between the patio and the main house. Everything from the table to the plate and flatware was beautiful, I regret not getting a photo! In terms of the food, we started with the tempura artichoke app, sweet stuffed peppers, and prosciutto di Parma- all fantastic. My friend I got the Gorgonzola gnocchi, which I highly recommend. It was amazing. My sister got the carbonara which was a hit for the whole table, two others got the hanger steak which they loved, and husband for the Cornish game hen- he smashed it. While we all know great food is a key to a great dining experience, service is really what makes it. Several of us at the table are in the service industry, and we all could not say enough about our server Emily. She was bubbly, attentive, great with menus suggestions, was very aware of the pace of our dining, and made the whole experience. It is evident she is not only great at her job, but that she enjoys it. She made our night! All in all my birthday celebration was one of the best yet, and I would come back here without question.

Yelp
There are a few things I'm sure of in life and one of them is Chef Bruno's culinary excellence! I haven't been back in this establishment for a long while but what didn't change was when you dined at The Anaheim White House, it wasn't just eating out-- it's an experience... Service- always attentive, Food- always fresh and delectable, and the Venue- always a delight for the senses!
google avatar

Alison L.

Yelp
The ambiance and decor here is definitely the allure here. It's beautifully decorated, a lot of it is over the top and it's definitely a great place to come celebrate something. The food is also pretty good as well, but I don't think I'd come here just for the food. The food is 7-8/10 and the ambiance is 10/10. I am not a fan of their famous white chocolate mashed potatoes, Ive tried it many times and the sweetness just ruins it for me. The salmon I got was overcooked and pretty dry, but the sauce was flavorful. The star of the show is the Souffle which is gluten free and made to order, takes about 20 mins, so make sure you order it before you finish your meal.
google avatar

Yelp
Everything was perfect here. The service was amazing The ambiance was perfect. We did an intimate gender reveal here and the staff was SO accommodating and kind. We will forever remember it and it was one of the best nights of my life. The food was also beyond delicious. Vegetarian options are available.

Yelp
Had the absolute worst experience here when I came in with my family the other night. At least the bathrooms were nice, because I cried in them after the deplorable way the waitress treated me. I have extensive food allergies and came in early to speak with the waitstaff about them. We spoke for 3-5 min about my allergies and I was very clear that if they don't make something in house from scratch, I needed to know the ingredients to know it's safe for me. She seemed to take me seriously and said she would talk to the kitchen and let me know what I can have. Because of my allergies, I can almost never order from a menu so I didn't bother looking at the menu and figured they would tell me I could have plain chicken and steamed veggies (a pretty standard restaurant meal for me since being diagnosed). She doesn't come back about what I can eat. Her and her partner take drink orders and are in and out being otherwise friendly - but no word on what I could eat. Bread is delivered that I was told I could eat and then (when I ask how they know it's safe) just kidding, no I can't eat it. They try to take our order for apps but I still haven't been told what I can eat. My allergies are literally holding up our large party and all eyes were on me and it was clear the waitress didn't pay attention during our multiple convos about my allergies and also just didn't care to communicate it to her partner working with her, or the kitchen. I eventually broke down and left crying. When I came back a waiter came over to talk to me about my allergies and I had to do the whole spiel again. And then a manager came over. And again, the spiel. My stepmom then asked if I wanted to speak directly to the kitchen, to which I said I couldn't have another f-ing conversation about my allergies. Our waitress walked in to the room as I was answering my stepmom and made a snarky response blaming the kitchen and being otherwise rude to me. I swear I blacked out in that moment. My stepmom, one of my sisters, and my sister in law were all furious at her comment. I let it go though, because what else can I do? I've already cried in the bathroom. Eventually the manager, who was very kind, brought me a menu with items marked I could eat. There were a number of items marked safe that I knew were not safe because of cross contamination - but it wasn't worth pointing it out. They obviously don't take allergies seriously. I ordered the steak and vegetables (marked on the menu as safe) and the waiter asked if I wanted the polenta that comes with the dish (polenta is not on the menu as part of the dish). I asked how it's prepared, the preparation could make it not safe for me. He didn't know. So I obviously didn't get the polenta. My steak was over cooked. The rest of my family found their food to be very mediocre. The vibe we all walked away with was that this is a facade of fine dining but the kitchen is anything but. Honestly, their lack of training for waitstaff and allergies is appalling. If you have an allergy - you absolutely should not eat here unless their internal processes change immensely.

Fantastic server and the services! Although the food can get a bit more improvement, it's alright overall. Go for the vibe

Yelp
I had an amazing experience. The pasta is to died for . The area is breathtaking. I love the decorations. Once your inside you won't believe it . It's so beautiful.. The staff is super sweet too. I didn't try other items but the pasta is fantastic.

Yelp
Charming historic home with indoor and outdoor seating. I was there for a private party. The room was beautiful, appetizers and cocktails were delicious, and service was top notch. I look forward to going back for dinner and/or hosting a party.

Yelp
Celebrated my wedding anniversary with a visit. The atmosphere serves that cheesy Italian gold, but I'm glad we opted for outdoor we. It was the perfect night out. Our server, Lucas, was prompt and gave great suggestions. We split all our items but I have to say that burrata pizza with prosciutto was heavenly. They were even kind enough to give us a dessert platter to split for our anniversary. Definitely want to go back and try more pastas on the next visit.

Yelp
Still five stars for this place. The food and service are impeccable. I had the rabbit and it was falling off the bone. Delicious. My dining partner had a Caesar salad and the artichoke appetizer. Both were very good. The artichokes were a big hit. They are lightly breaded and very tender. I usually have a escargot when I come here and I did this time. They were plump and juicy. I really like their garlic pesto that the escargot comes with. Honestly, though, the dessert was the star of the show. It was one of the best desserts I've ever had in my life. Definitely in the top 10. It was the banana tart with delicious vanilla ice cream and spun sugar. The presentation was spectacular. KFI radio station has been holding their yearly Pastathon here for the last several years. For those of you who don't know, the owner of the Anaheim White House is Bruno Serrato . He and his team feed 25,000 children a week. Kids who would normally go without a hot meal. I know that sounds incredible but it's true. Our server's name was Guilia. She is so sweet and lovely. The place was quite crowded, even the dining room. They are normally closed on Tuesdays. Guilia didn't want her picture taken but did allowallow me to take a picture of her name tag. She was very professional and knowledgeable of the menu. this is a beautiful restaurant. From the bathrooms to the dining rooms. Beautifully decorated for the holidays.

Yelp
We absolutely LOVED this place. From the amazing atmosphere, cocktails, food and hearing about their philanthropy of serving food to the community during the day. This restaurant is a MUST try. We went for a business dinner and this did not disappoint. We loved the cherry blossoms illuminated in the complete experience.

Yelp
Greeted by an absolutely wonderful hostess, sincerely a lovely young lady. The hospitality is excellent and the server we had was so sweet and professional. She took her time with our inquiries about what was on the menu. The place is so beautiful and warm, a wonderful place to enjoy our 55th wedding anniversary. Loved my dinner, and of course my wonderful husband.

Yelp
Anaheim White House is a fancy restaurant. The service is top notch. The staff let our group go into the private rooms upstairs to take photos. The food was so good and it came out tasting amazing. I like how the server asks you to take a bite of the steak to ensure it's cooked to your liking. They have cute private rooms upstairs for photo opportunities. We went around Christmas time so the restaurant was decorated in Christmas lighting. There was also a Christmas tree inside and outside of the restaurant. They also have this cute area on the patio for photos.

Yelp
We had a great evening at White House. Our server was very polite and had great recommendations. Everything we tried was exceptional, our whole party was happy. From the appetizer to the specials, you can't go wrong. Also, had a delicious espresso martini and they have several wine options as well. We sat outside on a summer night and it was perfect. The decor is funky which gives the place character. Definitely returning for more!

Yelp
The ambiance and decor here is definitely amazing. It's beautifully decorated, a lot of it is over the top and it's definitely a great place to come celebrate something special. The food is also pretty good as well, but I don't think l will come here just for the food. The food is 8/10 and the ambiance is 10/10. The steak I got was pretty dry, but the sauce was flavorful. What balance the night out the desserts where 10/10 and the great servíce.

Yelp
Fantastic Experience! So glad we decided to have our NYE dinner there. The decor, ambiance, table settings, service, the food menu etc...all impeccable. It wasn't our first time. Looking forward to going back soon.

Yelp
If I could I'd give the White House a 4.5 star. We'll definitely go back. Great place to celebrate a special occasion or a date night. Food is delicious. Very friendly staff. Probably not somewhere you want to go to if you're looking for a quick meal.

Yelp
It was a very pleasant day! My friend had made a reservation for my belated BDay. To start the meal, we had Escargots, it required 15 minutes to prepare., it came out very appetizing. We both ordered the chef's special of the day, friend had Pacific Swordfish and I had Ossobuco (veal casserole.) I was amazed how soft and well tendered Ossobuco was. Cross-cut veal braised with wine, was aromatic. - The server had asked me, if I would like to have the bone-marrow, by not knowing what it would come out, I was curious so I said yes, - it was an out of my normal equation to experience it. Friend liked her fish, it topped with shrimps beautifully garnished. She cleaned up the whole plate, so either she was hungry or it was real great! We both had drinks, friend had First Lady cocktail, my blackberry and pineapple Bram beverage was refreshing! I liked it. Long ago, I had read an article about owner Bruno's charity work, then the restaurant got burn down, then it got rebuild by the community's support. I was glad I met Bruno just when we were walking in. One note that I must mention. We dined outdoor, one disadvantage was the flies loved our food, but it took the staff awhile to bring out two lighted candles to chase them away. We were both very puzzled why they didn't bring the candles out much sooner. That is why one Star short.

Yelp
Ooh, I didn't even mean to come here, and our tummies had such a good time, we will return! I chose one restaurant. My friend chose another. Her birthday, she upgraded us to "luxe" off a list. We ended up here. $6 valet or 3 cars can do street parking. What a GORGEOUS place to dine! Looking like a warehouse on the outside, man it has you fooled. Folk come casual, but I'm glad I wore lace and heels. It gives you that vibe. Engaging service 'll do it! Cody was our server. Busy, slow, but attentive and engaged when present. He was GREAT about telling us food choices, preferences, and commenting on our selections. We ended up special ordering and getting 3-course meals. Yum! Yum! Yum! One comes to a restaurant for the food, and should also have good service and ambiance. This place did not disappoint. Tender steaks, delicious sauces, flaky fish, delicious bread (in which they're so stingy with, like they're rationing!). Desserts were good too. Definitely on the "must do again" list!

Yelp
This was our first pick for an OC Restaurant Week experience. We made reservations through Open Table and was seated right upon arriving. We decided to do a dinner course off the restaurant week menu and ordered just an extra entree and dessert. Here is what we ordered: OC Restaurant Week Dinner Menu ($60): Cheese Ravioli: Came with 3 raviolis. It was smooth and the sauce was super flavorful. Wish we had more of this! White House Greens: Came in a rice paper basket. I loved the texture of this and the sauce was good. It was a good sized portion for a side salad. Filet Mignon: The texture of this was a bit strange to me. We asked for medium rare, but it seemed to be more on the rare side. It was soft but not a meaty texture. I enjoyed the mushroom sauce on this, but wish it came with something other than poleta. Black Forest: This was like a tiramisu with cherries inside. It was an interesting mix and overall decent. Never had anything like it before. Air Force One ($18): Very strong drink, but was not a complete fan of it. I love gin, but not this mix. Would not get this again. Vieux Carre ($20): Also a very strong drink and came with a maraschino cherry. We are always a fan of the cherries. It was a bit pricey for what the drink actually was. Pasta al Pesto ($29): Loved how this dish was saucey and flavorful. I have had pesto pastas that are on the drier side but this one was creamy and delicious. I would get this again but with more parmesan! Souffle el Nino: ($17.95): This seemed to be a unique dish that this restaurant served. Although we were already getting dessert, we ordered this just to try it. I would say overall, it was not as expected. It came with chantilly cream and chocolate ganache with a side of ice cream. The souffle was very mushy and needed more ice cream! I would not say this was worth the price either. The parking situation is weird where the lot is so small, they only offer valet parking in the lot, so we had to park on the street and walk in. The service was 10/10, but the food was just subpar to me. There were some dishes I thought were good, but would probably not return to pay full price for. I appreciated that every manager came up to our table to greet us and how attentive our waitress, Rebekkah was. They were the ones that made this experience an enjoyable one!

Yelp
Such a cool, hidden restaurant. My husband lived in Anaheim his whole life and never knew this place existed! We ended up going here for a late Valentine's Day and it was really special. Beautiful, immaculate, historical building as you walk in. We were seated at the west wing which had mirrored walls and a lit up tree at the center of the room. The waitress was great, and knowledgeable of the menu. Quick, friendly service. The owner also came by and checked up on us which was really cool. The food was delicious. The tempura artichokes were so tasty and plated beautifully. We also ordered the salmon chocolat and the mashed potatoes were surprisingly really good, not too sweet as I had imagined. The T-bone steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. We ordered a side of sautéed spinach which was exactly what we needed to balance out our entrees. For dessert, I ordered a mocha latte and the banana tart (as the waitress suggested) and man, what a delicious combo. The banana tart was definitely a show stopper. It was a layered tower of banana deliciousness with a candy floss topping. It was a great experience and look forward to coming here again.

Yelp
My first visit to this lovely restaurant was last night. The architecture is stunning, inside and out, and there is both indoor and outdoor dining available. The vibe is somewhat like a country club or old school southern establishment, yet it's warm and friendly and not stuffy at all. The staff are well trained and attentive. As for the cuisine, it was outstanding. We had lobster ravioli as an appetizer and I had the ahi tuna as a main course. I had black forest cake for a dessert, and my date had a banana tart. The presentation and the flavors were amazing. The prices are on the higher end, but you definitely get what you pay for. I will be back.

Yelp
We celebrated our Valentines at the White House, and truly enjoyed the atmosphere, the food, and the service. While we were enjoying our wonderful cocktails, the waiter asked twice whether we were ready to order food. This put us in a bit of rush, we did not get a chance to finish our drinks and possibly order a second round of drinks before food was already on the table. Our suggestion is to give guests more time to enjoy their drinks and the atmosphere before serving food. Also it would be nice to make sure that bread and butter is being served prior to serving the main dish. Good bread and butter/olive oil/balsamic vinegar is always part of a great experience when eating in a good Italian restaurant.

Yelp
Every time we come here its an amazing experience. When you drive up they have valet parking. There is a $6 charge but they are very professional and personal. Walking up you will see beautiful indoor and outdoor seating. Their lighting and ambiance is so beautiful! This restaurant is such a hidden gem! When it comes to the food, I would recommend ordering the any pasta. I haven't had any bad! The service is also extremely good! They're personable and professional!

Yelp
A Christmas meal made in heaven. You cannot beat the gorgeous Christmas trees & decor for a perfect ambiance in December. Plus the service is top notch & the food is delicious. Attended a private group dinner with bar in the room. So many toppings available for the champagne bar. All the food was very good & presented beautifully. The dessert tray was centered with eye catching spun sugar tower which was a work of art. Mandatory valet parking for $6 as a fyi.

Yelp
Dear AWH, Thank you for pairing Belgium white chocolate with salmon. This combination is a dream I didn't know I needed. The escargot appetizer has enough garlic butter and herbs to make this garlic lover satiated. My girlfriend and i was so happy, we ordered two rounds. I enjoyed being greeted by both the owner and the maître d'. Service was attentive and kind. I enjoy the gaudy Italian upscale decoration. Thank you for making me feel like an honor to guest. I look forward to coming back soon to celebrate another anniversary.

Yelp
The food is okay but what really brought this review down is the lack of service. Beautiful venue with expensive mediocre food could have been redeemed by having good service. Unfortunately not only is the service below average they are blatantly unaware of kindness and hospitality. Where's the manager?

Yelp
Maybe it's because I'm a hardcore foodie, but I found this place to be good but nothing special. I took my husband here for Father's Day so we usually splurge for special occasions. We ordered the lobster ravioli (this and the bread were probably my favorite things), lobster bisque, house salad, pasta carbonara, skirt steak, New York steak, seasonal vegetables, Brussels sprout, a blackberry bramble drink, a mule, an apple dessert and banana dessert. The bisque was a bit salty, the sauce on my carbonara was curdled and the vegetables were cooked with way too much butter. I had also hoped since they were two different dishes that they would be cooked in two different ways with different seasonings. Nope, they were both cooked exactly the same. The steaks and mashed potatoes were tasty. My pasta was as well, it just didn't look very appetizing but I don't like to waste food so I still ate it. The banana dessert (I can't remember the name) was tasty but rich. My husband and I both agreed it was nice to try but don't think we'll go back. We'd rather spend $300 plus elsewhere. As for the restaurant, it was gorgeous on the outside but a bit gawdy on the inside. There was too much gold and it was everywhere! On a positive note, our waitress Alyssa was very sweet and offered good service.
