"Probably due to the fact Anabagh essentially exists behind a 7-Eleven on Franklin, most Eastsiders don’t even realize Anarbagh is a thing. But it is, and it’s our favorite Indian food in Los Feliz. Their tiny dining room is small and very subdued, so your crazy big group dinner outing this is not. Bonus: They deliver." - Brant Cox

The food and service here is amazing. The food was hot and fresh. I definitely could have gone more spicier but just wanted to be safe. But really good mild as well. The people are so friendly. I love it here and will bring more friends!

Loveeee the food here!! Been ordering here for years and will always come back! I’ve ordered all sorts of food here, mild, medium, hot. Love trying their food but always go back to the chicken tikka masala. Lovely people and although I don’t go in to dine often, I always do take out for my dinner. Love them :)) thank you to the people who work there for the good service and food !

Google
Can’t recommend this lovely family restaurant enough. If you’re tired of begging for attention from your server at the latest trendy spot, eat here instead and enjoy the absolutely luxurious service! Great flavors and of course lots of vegetarian options. Perfect for a date night :)

Wow, everything was just amazing. First, they happily welcomed us in. They already seemed very friendly and made us feel comfortable. We sat down and had a few questions. The waiter was very kind and explained the difference between chicken tikka( sizzler, not in sauce) and chicken tik masala( in red tomato based sauce), and other questions we had. We also got our drinks and we usually have to tell other places that we don’t want ice in our water, but they asked us first, which was very considerate of them. They also frequently checked on us and made sure we were good on water and food. We really enjoyed the food and although it’s next to a 7/11, the atmosphere and service was just so great that we forgot that we had to leave. I really enjoyed everything. Also, their bathroom is so clean!! It’s honestly one of the best experiences we had at an Indian restaurant. We even briefly talked to the servers and they were also so kind and come to find out, they are mostly family working. You can tell how sincere they are and truly want all their guests to be happy. Before we walked out, the waitress came and opened the door. We walked in with a smile and left with a smile and joy. We loved how they were considerate of all the little things and you can truly feel their sincerity when they’re working. We also asked them to take a picture of the food, which was presented so nicely on their cart. It was all great and we are definitely going back:)

Google
Nice music, delicious food, great service! Usually, my family and I eat from delivery from Anarbagh, but this was first time dine-in. Food taste fresh and the service was enjoyable for my family and I. Will definitely come back for dine-in service.

Google
Such a lovely dining experience! Friendly, kind and attentive servers. The food was delicious. Well presented, fresh flavours. We even enjoyed watching people come and go from the 7-11 with a stunning view of the observatory in the near distance- classic LA. Will definitely be coming here again!

Went with my 4 kids and wife they accommodated us very kindly. They took some chairs and made more us more room, giving us a baby chair to put our 1 year old in. The girl server was very kind and asked if we needed anything. The food was good, it was affordable and the atmosphere was great! Will see you again soon!

Google
Love this place! It’s the become my favorite Indian spot in LA. It’s super unassuming, located next to a 711, but the vibes inside are awesome. The food is super delicious and warming. I’ve come here with big parties and small and every time the staff goes above and beyond when accommodating/serving us. Try the Lamb Biryani and Dal. Chicken pakora is a really good appetizer too ;)

Yelp
One of my favorite South Asian restaurants in LA! In an unassuming location next to a 7-eleven, you may be surprised when you step inside and see that it's actually a proper sit-down restaurant with a nice ambiance. Everything I've tried here has been delicious. I love the vegetarian options, especially the paneer tikka! My mom LOVES the tofu tikka. I ordered a bunch of samosas to-go once for a party and everyone raved about them. The employees are wonderful and attentive. The service is a little on the slower side, but the food is worth the wait.

Yelp
Our favorite Indian restaurant in the neighborhood, and maybe all of Los Angeles! We tried it once a few months ago and have come back every week since! They know our order now :) and always treat us really well. Our favorites are the spicy Chicken Mahkani (Butter chicken) curry ~~spicy~~. Incredible rich flavors served in adorable, tin serving dishes kept warm over tiny flame candles. Never seen this before but it really keep the curry warm while you eat! The naan is also some of the best I've ever had - incredibly fluffy and fresh. Everything else we've had is very very good. Excited to explore more of the menu. Very kind staff and fun, tasteful atmosphere. If you are looking for a real Indian restaurant in the Silver lake / Los feliz / Hollywood area - this is your spot!

Yelp
I've been telling my friends over at Anarbagh that I would review them for over a year now--so here we are! The friendliest and arguably most flavorful Indian food in the greater Hollywood area. My personal favorites: Veggie Korma: a variety of cruciferous vegetables in a thick and spicy curry sauce. So delicious! Veggie Biryani: Even my devout meat-eating friend prefers the veggie version of this staple rice dish; a variety of vegetables and spices in yellow rice--the perfect accompaniment to any curry dish. Veggie and Beef Samosas: love them both, but I am a little biased towards veggie samosas. Crispy, flaky goodness filled with a generous amount of veggies or beef. Yum, yum in my tum! Cheese Naan: soft and cheesy, simple yet delightful. What more can I say? Chicken Korma: chunks of white meat in that indulgent curry sauce. As good as its veggie alternative, but I'm admittedly obsessed with the veggie korma here. Butter Chicken: my favorite chicken dish here; thicker than the korma (thank you, ghee) and will make you feel like you've been bad after the last bite. Get it! And of course, the Chicken Tikka Masala, which is also perfect, I just rarely get it because I grew up on the dish and only started exploring my Indian cuisine palette as an adult. As aforementioned, the staff is great, fast, and will make funny, small talk as they take your order. Anarbagh will continue to be my preferred Indian restaurant for years to come. Give it a go!

Yelp
I'll start by saying this is my bf's favorite Indian restaurant and he's always so excited to bring me here. I finally got a chance to give it a try. It was good, but I've had better. This is your traditional hole in the wall Indian restaurant, located in a 7-Eleven parking lot tucked away in a corner. For that reason, it could be very difficult to find parking. When you walk in, you're greeted by the staff and the interior has carpet - I always feel a little weird with carpet flooring in a restaurant, but it works. We ordered two main plates and the appetizer plate for two and I think that was just enough food. Everything is incredibly flavorful and I did really enjoy the entrées. The service was good, nothing exceptional. This place is definitely giving cozy vibes with really good food. They offer great dishes at reasonable price points. I do know I would probably be back and I won't be mad about it granted this is my bf's favorite Indian restaurant. My review is as follows: - Food: 4.5/5 - Service: 4/5 - Ambiance: 3/5

Yelp
Wow. Top 3 Indian places I've ever had hands down. I've had it on my to-go-to list for a few months now and only recently got to go. I didn't have high expectations because I haven't had anything that incredible in LA since moving here but wow. Expectations were surpassed. And we didn't even dine in - takeout every single time. I've tried Chana Masala, Tikka Masala, Chicken Makhani, and Palak Paneer. They're all such different dishes but all done so incredibly well. Perfect balance of flavors, thick and rich without being overpowering. I actually hate chickpeas and I've never had a chickpea dish I enjoyed, even Chana Masala from other places but my mouth is watering just thinking about it right now. All their dishes are so good. Some places you try a dish or two that are amazing then you're scared to venture out because you're worried the new dishes you try won't be as good as your usual order but I don't feel that here - I feel confident that the majority of their dishes will be delicious. Their naan is great too. I want to try their biryani and probably every dish they have on their menu at some point. Added to my Best of LA list!!

Nairy D.

Yelp
I really enjoy the food, tasty and delicious! Had Chicken makhani and mash pot and chicken curry which both were delicious!! Server very nice and checked on us frequently!! Had pistachio kulfi and rice pudding as well which were all delicious as well!!

Yelp
felt so welcomed when i came here w my friends the other night !! everyone here was so sweet. mango lassi was very memorable for me because it was sooooo smooth and creamy. was so pleased by the tandoori chicken sizzler which was tender and hot. garlic naan was fresh -- and they buttered it per request i had chana masala and also tried papadam for the first time and i think it was a great first experience !! i hope i can come again to try more dishes !!

Yelp
A lovely dinner tonight. It was our first time dining at Anarbagh. The staff (Babor & Jakaria) were kind and provided attentive service. Jakaria offered complimentary Samosa (veggie) which was very nice of him. It was tasty, especially dipping it with the Tamarind & Green Chutney! Everything was delicious.

Cyrus A.

Yelp
Stop by late night to grab a bite to eat with friends. Food was OK. I've definitely had better Indian food but they are open late.

Eric P.

Yelp
I entered the restaurant after a long, blue collar labor job in this summer heat. Im assuming the gentleman is the owner .. He looked up and down on me because my clothes were dirty and refused to let me use the restroom, knowing that I was going to togo some food. I will not give any business to someone who judges someone on their appearance and I hope consumers choose someplace else!

Celeste D.

Yelp
The service was good. We were treated with patience and was very respectful and helpful. It was very quiet and calm ambiance. The garlic chicken curry was 10/10 (medium spice) And well cooked. The vegetable masala was 8/10. Everything pretty good. The order of rice portion is good and enough for 2 ppl. Did take about about 15 minutes for food to come out.

Yelp
My husband and I went here a couple of weeks ago for a chill dinner and this was the perfect spot. We walked right in and got a table. The servers were very attentive and friendly! They set up fresh linens for us at our table and set our table up with our spread of food quite nicely. We got the chicken tikka masala, garlic naan bread, aloo gobi, and a side of rice. it was perfect for two people! The waitress asked if I could leave a review so here this is - my honest review. Would def go back here again :)

Yelp
10 stars if we could!! January 13, 2024. The second you walk through the door you know you're in for something special. Service is like you're at a 3 Michelin star restaurant. Food....oh my was it delicious! We had the chicken vindaloo, shrimp curry (opted for both spicy...did not disappoint!), mulligatawny soup, naan bread and rice. Every bit of it was cooked perfect, tender, beautifully seasoned and delicious!!! Our new go to Indian restaurant!! Thank you to entire staff for providing a top notch dining experience!

L A.

Yelp
today, we had the Chana Masala, Chicken Makhani, regular & garlic naan & the vegetable samosa delivered. prior to delivery, I called a few times with questions and spoke to a gentleman, who I later found out was Navisa's uncle, and he had the most patience. after our order was placed, Navisa gave us a call for clarification on our order and was the sweetest. I appreciated she took the time to do so rather than assuming especially about something that was minuscule. upon delivery, everything was labeled and was extremely fresh. we loved everything we purchased and would 100% reorder due to the taste + the exceptional customer service. our only recommendation is that if you like spicy, pick a level above medium. thank you again, Navisa and the rest of the crew for our great dinner.

Andrea C.

Yelp
Safe to say my bf and I are regulars at this place!!! We've been here like 6 times in the last 2 months it's so good. We love everything, the ambiance is datelike the music is low and the lighting is cozy. The service is very great, we've made friends with the waiters who are very caring and sweet. Saving the best for last the food is bomb the chicken tikka masala is so delicious and creamy, the naan is crispy and doughy, the veggie and lamb samosas are just great with the sauces. The mango lassi is thick and tart. It's a solid Indian place if you're in the area!! Shout out the the servers: Lyek, Sam that helped us out today!!!!

Julie A.

Yelp
One of my favorite Indian restaurants to eat at! Their food is absolutely delicious, employees are super nice and attentive. This restaurant is a must try if you want authentic Indian cuisine. Definitely try to Vegetable samosas, cheese Nan, chicken tikka massala, and vegetable birriani. Love this spot!

Edgar M.

Yelp
My partner and I were looking for other Indian food restaurants around the area for a change and are glad our risk paid off. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We got the meal for two which included the lentil soup, chicken tandoori, veggie samosas, naan, desert, plus our personal choices which were the chicken balti and spinach paneer. We couldn't find fault with any of our food and left feeling stuffed! We would recommend pairs of 2 consider doing the same.

Caroline Y.

Yelp
Excellent flavors of all the food we ordered. The staff are extremely courteous. My online order was done right on time. Will come again!

Yelp
We live in the North Bay, but when we travel to Los Angeles, Anarbagh is our number one restaurant for Indian food. On our most recent trip there, we ate at Anarbagh twice because we just couldn't stay away! I can't say enough good things about the crisp papadam appetizer that is served before the meal with an array of fantastic fresh sauces, including lime pickle, tamarind sauce, and chutney. Anarbagh's Mulligatawny soup is by far the best we've ever enjoyed in its genre, a traditional Indian starter with red lentils, onion, tomato, root veggies, cilantro, and other wonderful ingredients. We lavished compliments on our host about how fresh and delicious it is. Other dishes we enjoyed over our two evenings of dining at Anarbagh included the Lamb Rogan Josh, Tandoori Lamb, Mushroom Bhaje, and Garlic Naan. The lamb was flavorful and tender; the mushroom dish was fragrant, with an amazing spice combination; the naan was fresh from the oven. The hot chai with cream and spices is warming and ambrosial. The staff is gracious and attentive and the atmosphere is lovely, with low lighting, intimate booths, and recordings of Indian sitar music playing in the background. Also, the location is very convenient. Just a block north of the Los Feliz 3 movie theater on Vermont Av., Anarbagh offers a few complimentary parking spaces in their on-site lot, so you can keep an eye on your car when eating and skip the problem of having to find street parking, two more plusses! We love Anarbagh and look forward to returning there on our next trip to Los Angeles!

Kylia C.

Yelp
We arrived late not realizing the kitchen was closed. The host informed us the kitchen had closed and we couldn't dine in or take out. He saw we were hungry and made an exception and allowed us to order takeout. He was so kind and the food was great!

Sofya P.

Yelp
Some of the best Indian food around! So good! Vegetable masala is OMG good! I never paid attention to this place until someone told me about it. It's in an awkward location, right next door to 7eleven. It has simple become our go to Indian restaurant. The service is always great and the vibe is inviting! I HIGHLY recommend and tell your friends!

DJ S.

Yelp
I finally had an opportunity to try this place and was not disappointed. I had samosa, Chicken Mango Masala and fried rice. It was a lot for just me but I'm looking forward to leftovers tomorrow. The chicken was delicious - perfect tender pieces in a beautiful sauce that had some heat and was also tangy. The staff had a very welcoming and friendly demeanour. I look forward to going back! Wishing I could give more than 5 stars! Edit: I went back today and had the chicken biryani and an appetiser of various veggie items. I will still be eating all this delicious food tomorrow. This time I used the tamarind sauce that came with it - so delicious. The best part was the mango lassi. If I lived nearby I would be a regular. I'm in the area for a few days so happy I tried this restaurant.

Elektra A.

Yelp
Food is very good! The service was amazing! Our waiter was very kind and had a lot of great stories to tell. The ambiance is very nice and quiet. All around this is a wonderful restaurant

Amy W.

Yelp
Amazing food. Highly recommend the butter chicken and cheese naan. Friendly service to top it all off.

Michael R.

Yelp
Delicious food. Very helpful employees. I had a few different dishes. all fresh and healthy but so full of flavor. i'll be back

Diangelo C.

Yelp
The people here are very kind and the food is pretty tasty. They have really cool light fixtures

Jack K.

Yelp
So good! It's hard to find excellent Indian in my area in LA, but this place stacks up! Spices are great and taste and quality are up to par. We preferred takeout.

Shelley D.

Yelp
Loved this restaurant! Every year for our wedding anniversary my husband and I go to an Indian restaurant to reminisce over our honeymoon in India. My husband had an Indian beer and I had a mango lassi. We had the garlic naan, and chicken tikka masala. It was very good and we enjoyed meal, the music, the service and the atmosphere. Easy parking in the back as well.

Lucy C.

Yelp
I haven't had Indian Food in years and after I saw all the tiktok and social media trends of people eating butter chicken, I realized I never had butter chicken (of all the Indian food I have tried lol)!!! I would highly recommend this place not just for the huge portions, tasty meals, and the addicting mango lassi that I can't seem to put down, but for the hospitality and friendly service. They deliver for free if you live within the area so make sure to support your local restaurants y'alls!

Bryce A.

Yelp
The best Indian in LA xxx We come every week. Kindest staff, always exactly how you want it!

Victoria M.

Yelp
I had the most wonderful dinner. It was my first time here traveling from New England. This is the Best Indian food I have ever had. The meal had the most amazing flavors !!!! The service was wonderful. The waitress helped us with recommending a delicious entree. 5 star service with Linen table cloths and friendly atmosphere. Overall, this was an incredible dining experience and we look forward to returning for another meal. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, you will be very happy you went.

Josef B.

Yelp
This lovely little restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside. It's tucked in the corner next to a 7'11. Lots of random people wandering through the lot. But inside you will find a gem! Beautiful Indian music playing, colorful artwork on the walls, we were greeted by a very nice and well mannered server. Every thing was delicious. Great portions! My wine glass was nearly filled to the rim! We had enough for a second lunch the following day. Only thing that could've been better was the Naan bread. It was a bit dry for my liking. Make sure to stop by if you are in the area.

Juana M.

Yelp
Went there because I always drove by it and was curious to taste the food.. When we walked in .. the restaurant was almost empty except for one other couple.. We order our drinks and food .. it took 50 minutes for our food to come out.. they were to busy taking care of online orders.. Then when the food came it was bland .. we asked for medium spice it was not spicy at all and the Chana masala tasted like garbanzo beans in spaghetti sauce..the only good thing was the wine.. The server was polite but food was not worth the wait..

Sergio J.

Yelp
First of all I just came in from a Kaiser urgent care appointment as I was feeling like crap yet hungry also when I was on my way home I happen to see this Indian spot on the corner of Franklin & Vermont at first when I came in the old dude in front saw me like wtf cuz I was dressed like shit since I'm sick and when he saw me order the Lobster he was like are you sure you want this it pretty small I was like hell yea I'm hungry and luv Indian food so it took about a 1/2 hr for my plate to come in I ordered the Bombay Lobster it was absolutely delicious I'd def come here again as the staff and food were top notch jk about the dude he was just looking out that I ordered the right dish.

N O.

Yelp
Absolutely recommend this restaurant. Delicious food, warm and inviting ambiance, and excellent service. Don't let the location next to a 7-Eleven fool you, this is a lovely place to relax and enjoy amazing Indian food!

Matt S.

Yelp
Came out here for my boys bday. We all had a SPLENDID night. Great food and really amazing service. Can't recommend this place more.

B G.

Yelp
FABULOUS!!! I can't say enough good things about this restaurant! It's a cozy, neighborhood gem. The staff and service are the best in the city. They treat everyone like family. The food is outstanding! Everything is made fresh and you can taste the quality and love that goes into it. One of my favorite spots!

Joanna M.

Yelp
Anarbagh is a wonderful restaurant...great food, great service, excellent surroundings and a great treat to eat there. Joanna and Michael

Lauren L.

Yelp
It was delicious! I was in the area and wanted Indian food. My mom and I ate here for the first time and everything was good. We ordered the vegetarian meal. We got a paneer curry, coconut curry, veggie curry, salad, lentil soup, and garlic naan bread. The naan was great and the sauces provided were also good. I would definitely recommend this place. If I didn't live over an hour away I would go back.

eric s.

Yelp
Great food, great service, amazing flavors. Loved the vegetarian options. I'm surprised this place isn't more busy but I was there on a Monday.

Michael B.

Yelp
This is a splendid restaurant. Great food. Excellent location. Comfortable environment. Great staff. Check it out. You'll love it.

Veronika R.

Yelp
Every single bite was absolutely incredible, definitely try all of the chutney! The workers were sweet and considerate. We never had to ask for a water refill because they had it down. It's a cozy spot, we were there when it was empty but it was still really nice. I will definitely be returning

Ana M.

Yelp
Amazing food and service ! Love the Butter chicken and mando lassi The waiter was also very friendly

Z A.

Yelp
Tasty. Good portions. Friendly family owned place. Plenty of vegetarian options. Tight parking lot

Palak V.

Yelp
if there was a zero star option, i would have chosen that in a heart beat. i have had almost every indian restaurant in socal and this has to be the worst of them all. the dal and paneer tikka were bland, paneer sizzler was burnt and hard to chew on, and the naan was so extremely thick.

Mia C.

Yelp
The best Indian food I've had in LA. The Chicken Biriyani was so good I would eat it as my last meal the staff is also so nice and kind!

Daniel B.

Yelp
False Advertising! Anarbagh advertised lunch specials, yet they rescinded the offer once I got there. Waiter informed me 'no more lunch specials anymore.' I pointed to the menu, and he quickly snatched it from me. Really bothered by this. So now the only anarbagh I will go to Woodland Hills Encino The Beverly Hills and now the Los Feliz area have eliminated this option. Most unfortunate considering I regard Anarbagh to be the best of the Indian restaurants in LA. Won't come back to this one again though .

Narine P.

Yelp
Amazing service and the best Indian food i have ever tasted.. We have been ordering from this place for ages and we are satisfied with the quality of the food.. Thank you we dine there on weekends and the atmosphere is so relaxing .. love this place.. highly recommend

V B.

Yelp
Don't sleep on this place! Yes, it's in a little plaza with a 7-11, but the food is wonderful. I love their lamb balti and it's an Indian dish I've never had at any other Indian restaurant. It's lamb and bell pepper and onions in a lovely brown stew-type sauce served in a metal bowl over a candle warmer. I find it so satisfying especially with some fresh garlic naan! I know from the way it tastes that their other dishes must be good, but I keep getting this lamb. It's so tender and filling. The staff is very friendly and it's a chill environment off busy Vermont.
