Highlights

Anaviv's Table is a gathering place for people to experience delicious food sourced from local farms and ranches. It is an opportunity to dine with old friends or make new ones while celebrating the bounty of our region. The experience begins in our kitchen where guests will get to meet the Chef and get an inside view of our kitchen, all while enjoying delicious bites. After that, we move to our communal dining table for a fun dinner party. Anaviv's Table is currently available for private function. The space can accommodate a seated dinner or cocktail reception. The service and the small venue atmosphere excellent! The food was organic and well prepared by professional chefs. The main course meat and fish dishes were too bland for my taste. The desert and salad were delicious. Overall, it was a good culinary experience however, I expected more generous portions for the $225 per person fee.

Wow!! This is easily one of the most unique and beautiful culinary experiences! From the flavors and sourcing of the food to the interactions with the other guests and hospitality of the chef and server I was blown away! Great local ingredients thoughtfully prepared and paired with excellent local wines. I will surely return next time I am in the Bay area and look forward to sharing this experience again!

The experience of a family style table is reason alone to come here. What a fun experience. I felt spoiled from the moment I arrived. The greeting at the door; the wonderful cocktail. To add to the experience, we were invited into the kitchen to share appetizers and see for ourselves the ingredients used in the dishes. Each course was perfectly paired with a wine and everything sang with flavors on the pallet. The space is located where you would never imagine, but then you enter and voila! a fantastic space. Small, intimate, docor simply done and seasonal. Done miss out - make a reservation and take a loved one with you. Enjoy!

Ooooh ... this is a little hidden treasure. Really nice staff. Fun, outdoor, Covid- friendly setup, and gourmet wholesome food. Like brown rice batter fried chicken with tangy cilantro cabbage slaw. We’ll be coming back with friends for dinner, drinks, and live music. Even flamenco dancing!

Cute hip outdoor spot in the middle of industrial Richmond. Live music Friday-Sunday 5pm-8pm. Great variety of food, pizza and bowls. Drink selection could be improved: drinks only in cans though, would love to see a normal wine from the bottles. And cocktails are pricey, $18.

Great outdoor dining experience with awesome live music! Good sized crowd, not too crazy busy making for a chill friday evening. Kid and dog friendly too, food comes out pretty quickly and great variety on the menu - I had the crispy chicken with seasonal veggies and pepperoni pizza for my daughter. Curious about their drinks, they had a caipirinha but was a bit pricey for me at $14! So I settled for a canned la croix 🙂 Parking is limited and I had to park in a sketchy area, praying my car didn’t get broken into thankfully not but be aware not to leave valuables in there. I’d come back for a quick bite! I hope they keep the outdoor dining option. Makes for a more chill and fresh to feel connected to other people in the community this way.

We stumbled on them this weekend during a bike ride and are so glad we did! The wood fired margarita pizza was ready by the time we sat down; both the pizza and our salad were delicious. They have an outdoor seating area with umbrellas, so we could eat comfortably while respecting social distancing rules.

*Excellent* coffee from a trailer (some new coffee from Sonoma— didn’t catch the brand), and then later that day live music and pizza sitting outdoors. Don’t be fooled by the “parking lot near barbed wire topped fences” look, this place is special.

I had the chance to dine twice more at The Table since my initial review and I have to say that the last two experiences have been wonderful. In February, we celebrated the birthday of a friend. She was very excited and over the moon to dine here. We had eight at the table and they tailored the menu to her tastes. The food was as perfect as it could be. The printed menu also acknowledged her birthday, a very nice touch! Each course was beautifully presented and delicious. A few days before our scheduled dinner, I packaged a box of hoshigaki (dried persimmons) and gave them to Chef Darren, asking if they could incorporate them into the menu. These were special because I had dried them myself. They are also a favourite treat for the birthday girl. I gave the kitchen free reign to use them however they saw fit, and keep the rest for themselves to enjoy. I was so pleased with what they did. It was the simplest presentation - stuffing them with a soft cheese and walnuts - the combination was a perfect marriage of textures and flavour, letting the persimmon shine through. Two months later, we had the good fortune of being invited to dinner by our friends to acknowledge an event that happened a year prior. Once again, Chef Darren did not disappoint. Using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, his palate comes through in every bite. Pastry Chef Yooni's ethereal, gluten-free desserts were also a lovely way to end the meal - on a sweet note that you want to linger just a little more. Dining here three times within six months gave me the opportunity to get to know Chefs Darren and Yooni a little and see their passion for food and creativity. They are both very personable and delightful people. You can tell that they truly enjoy what they do. Thank you both for the amazing food and dining experience, you guys rock!

Recently, I visited Anaviv's open market to sample their fire-oven pizzas, and I wasn't let down! This spot is a bit tucked away, but if you spot the Burger King, it's just around the corner. The dishes had bold flavors with top-notch ingredients. The vibe was very relaxed, with live jazz music played by what seemed like high school or college students. The ordering process was quick and smooth; you order at the tent, and they deliver your food when it's ready. The open market stays open until 8, offering superb quality food at a great price. Definitely worth a stop if you're near Richmond!

Lovely food & wine pairings. We just celebrated my dad's birthday and it was a beautiful experience. The wine stood out to me - excellent selections, paired so nicely with the menu. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meal & the ambiance set for us. Also loved the nice touches for table decor. This was our second time celebrating there and once again, the the chef did not disappoint! Checkout community involvement from this Chef & business to learn more about the heart of the place. I cannot rave about Anaviv Catering enough! They catered my wedding last weekend and it was phenomenal! Chicken and waffles as an appetizer was a huge hit! Also had passed muscles and mushroom ravioli. Short rib and swordfish for dinner. Followed by Wisconsin cheese curds and sliders for late night snack! All guests raved about the food and the whole process couldn't have been smoother. They were also the most affordable option I could find to do a plated dinner instead of buffet in Sonoma County. The tastings were fun and easy and Dee was open to try out any suggestions we had! Including cannolis for dessert! I can't recommend them enough!!!

The food was good but management was poor. We hired Anaviv catering for an Easter event for our client. I am an event planner and suggested this company to my client after reading good reviews on Yelp. To my surprise the catering team left our event in a hurry without guest table clean up and garbage disposal. When I asked the manager to manage the event cleanup as it was agreed beforehand, I was told that the serving team left and it was too late. When I addressed the issue together with my client by email, we received an apology right away but no team was sent to finish the catering service.

Anaviv catered our backyard small wedding. The food and service was out of this world. Our guests are still raving about the white peach whiskey old fashioned, slow cooked salmon, skirt steak and corn and bean risotto. My husband and I are avid home cooks and our standard for catered meals is quite high. Anaviv met our high expectations two fold. If you are looking for a full service catering team for a gathering, I highly recommend Anaviv's Events.

Arnon and his crew catered our special event this summer for about 100 people in our back yard. The food was simply outstanding! We had rented the small pizza oven and some of the salads and even main course were cooked in it. The salads, appetizers, fish and paella were outstanding and the kids loved the s'mores. Anaviv's food and decor definitely stand out. We cannot wait to have another party so we can use them again. Highly recommend Arnon!

Anaviv catered my day-before-the-wedding reception for about 50 people, and it couldn't have been better. From the beginning they put all my anxieties to rest with their personal and utterly professional approach. They worked with me on the menu and style of service, and their experience showed with their innovative suggestions and ideas. They made a pre-event visit to my house where we could discuss flow and set-up, and ensure everything we had envisioned would work. Everyone loved the food, and the service and prep staff were terrific. Highlight was a portable pizza oven where guests could choose toppings and help make pizzas. For dessert, that same oven turned out s'mores that sent everyone home happy. And the best: The staff left my house spotless when they left.
