The NYC Dinner & A Movie Guide - New York - The Infatuation

"“Not only is Jenny Slate’s character in Obvious Child the perfect stand-in for a friend right now, but the whole movie itself is also a perfect stand-in for normal Brooklyn life. Most of the scenes take place in Brooklyn bars, independent libraries, tiny apartments, and Planned Parenthood clinics. During their first real date, Jenny Slate’s love interest warms up a packet of butter in his hands for her so it’s easier to spread on her table bread. I find this gesture to be incredibly romantic, and think about doing it every time I see a cold butter packet in the wild. Order some sourdough bread and country ham from &Sons, grab some refrigerated butter, and you can do the same for your partner (or yourself) while you watch.” - HA" - hannah albertine, nikko duren, bryan kim, hillary reinsberg, arden shore

56 NYC Restaurants Selling Groceries And Meal Kits - New York - The Infatuation

"Putting together a wine and charcuterie combination that’s not from & Sons Buttery is like listening to Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car” on low volume - it’s still enjoyable, but you know it could’ve been better. To avoid that feeling, order from this ham bar in Prospect Lefferts Gardens. 99% of everything here is American-produced, and you can expect everything from hunks of humboldt fog and CSA boxes from Lancaster Farms to mortadella with Sicilian pistachios. Order your groceries here." - hannah albertine, nikko duren, bryan kim, matt tervooren

Our Favorite Dishes Of 2020 - New York - The Infatuation

"“I’ll never forget the dinner Nikko and I had at & Sons in Prospect Lefferts Gardens back in March - mostly because it was entirely made up of ham and wine produced in the U.S. And because it was one of the last exciting restaurant meals I ate inside before the shutdown. Nikko and I stayed at & Sons for about three hours, picking at plates of aged ham from Kentucky and Tennessee, eventually asking for a second portion of cornbread madeleines. I remember the ham from Kentucky in particular, since it was sturdy enough to construct a tube top out of, and didn’t need any additional accouterments. I haven’t had such special pork since then.”" - hannah albertine, nikko duren, hillary reinsberg, arden shore, matt tervooren

Google
Super cute place and it’s awesome seeing independent brand representation, I was in LOVE with these Post Jeans and I’m thinking about them still. It was also cool that they had a vintage section on the first floor that has some great outerwear. The owner was super kind and explained the concept to me as well.

A rare find of unique clothing by Japanese, American and European niche brands. Thanks to Ben we had an excellent shopping experience with many NYC tips. Will comeback while in town.

One of the best men’s boutiques in the city. They have a fantastic selection of unique and high quality pieces. They also have some nice vintage options in their underground floor. Definitely stop by if you’re visiting or are a local. I’m for sure going back!

I dare say my favorite clothing store in New York. Ben and the staff are ridiculously welcoming, and super knowledgeable about their selection. They bring in small (often one person) brands that you'll have a hard time finding anywhere else. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area, and worth making a trip if you're not.

Beautiful shop with equally beautiful items. A great selection for the picky man in your life and even a piece or two I would love to have for myself. I purchased a lovely sweater as a gift for Christmas. Helpful and knowledgeable owners/staff. I'll be back on my next trip to NYC.

Came looking for some heavenly incense at an earthly price and left starry-eyed. Great vintage downstairs & good vibes everywhere. Ben (the owner) and Sam were so helpful, not to mention inviting. Pull up.

Ben and his team have an awesome shop with a great variety of brands catering to anyone keeping up with the current menswear atmosphere. Aside from the well curated shop, the team has some of the best customer service out of all their contemporaries in Brooklyn and Manhattan. They have a great vibe in the shop, and you can easily strike up a conversation about menswear while you’re there. Visit if they carry a brand you want to try out, stay for the vibes and to be put on to a brand you haven’t heard of.

This shop caught my attention as I walked down my old block in Soho.. always love a good vintage place. Was disappointed at first that it was all mens, but came across some coats downstairs and started trying them on. Ended up buying a classic, unisex, 90s CK, cashmere, camel colored, oversize piece that I love.. and now my boyfriend can take a turn and steal something from my closet!
