Overall, some of the best Mexican food I’ve had. They got me in quick, as I was a table of one. I got my drink and chips right away (you get your own salsa from the salsa bar), and they were ready to take my order, but being my first time there, I didn’t know what I wanted. So I took a few minutes to decide. However, it took a while for the waiter to circle back to me. I didn’t have anywhere to be, but it was a little frustrating seeing him walk by and not look my direction. Overall, I can definitely recommend this place for some very good Mexican food.

One of the best experiences we’ve had. My husband and I lived in Tucson for 18 years and have a high palate for good Mexican food. This restaurant blew it out of the water. Every single dish we had was the best we’ve ever had. The tortilla chips are homemade. The salsa bar is packed with variety and flavor. We ate here twice on our long weekend trip. Would love to come back again and try more things.

Google
Highly recommended breakfast! We stopped in on a Saturday morning and were glad we did! We were greeted as soon as we walked in and seated immediately. The employees were very polite and restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. Our waitress Jasmin was super polite and attentive. There were 5 salsa selections and toreados on the salsa bar, all tasted great. We ordered the chilaquiles and eggs compuestas, both tasted amazing and the portion sized were huge for the price. Despite the restaurant being fairly busy, our food came out quick. Highly recommend the green chili sauce. We’ll definitely be stopping back by any time we are in the area!

Google
Well, this restaurant is off the charts. No frills, authentic Mexican. The house specialty, Tacos Al Carbon (steak) was absolutely delicious and plentiful. The corn tortillas are obviously home made and the salsas are all fresh. The service was great and the prices are amazing I’m traveling across country and sad that I won’t have this again. If you’re on 1-10, make a stop, you won’t regret it. .

Google
On our way back to Texas from Arizona we passed through NM and stopped at this restaurant as it was the first one that came up on our search. It had a 4.5 rating so we stopped and it was busy! But we were seated pretty quickly and our waiter was exceptionally nice, attentive and helpful. Our food came out fairly quickly. It definitely is a must stop if you’re passing through!

Google
The food was quite good, the service was decent and there was nothing special about the ambiance. Really enjoyed our experience here, the quality of the food really was the star of the experience.

Google
Solid. Overall great experience. We had fish tacos, queso dog, bean burrito and huevos Ranchos. Very affordable and a lot of food. We would definitely go back again.

Google
We were visiting Mesilla from PA and were looking for tasty authentic Mexican. The tortilla chips were super crispy and the salsa bar offered six different varieties. My wife and I each ordered the four tacos el carbon plate's. Below is a photo of the beef taco plate. After our entrees we ordered flan and tres leches cake which were both delicious though my wife thought I made the better choice! In summary we really enjoyed our lunch at Andeles and give the food and service five stars.

Yelp
Oh my god this place was incredible. We stopped on a road trip and I would move to Las Cruces just to be near this restaurant. 1000/10 get the green chile burrito.

Yelp
Every time I come, Ivan always has great customer service ! Makes me feel welcomed from the moment I'm sat in his section to the moment he gives me my receipt. Always serves us with a big smile & such a nice guy! Food is always super delish as well!

Yelp
If you're looking for authentic New Mexican flavor, Andele's is a must-stop in Las Cruces! The red chile is bold, rich, and everything you'd hope for if you're a traditionalist--it's a must-try. But if you lean toward green chile (and love queso), their green chile is unlike any other--more like a creamy, cheesy chile dip than a sauce. My advice? Get both and order it Christmas style. Every dish was packed with true New Mexico flavor--comforting, spicy, and incredibly tasty with amazing service. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the atmosphere is casual and welcoming. A total gem for locals and visitors alike!

Yelp
Just a typical fast food Mexican restaurant, no seasoning on the red sauce meat and basic rice/beans. Sangria wasn't anything too special either. Chips were thick n salted good. Salsa was a bit spicy but gave my taco the help it needed. Shout out to Ben, he was a good server, checked in regularly and for getting me salsa-since back area was getting cleaned for the night. Decent priced $33 w/tip. Got recommended from front help at the Hampton Inn. Was so looking forward to good Mexican food since traveling from VA, missed our usual location and was quite disappointed at Andele. Don't need to come back here.

Yelp
While traveling we stayed one night in Las Cruces. I ordered online and went to pick up our order at their outdoor takeout window. The young woman who helped me was friendly and professional. I knew we made a good choice when I saw the packed parking lot. Our food was still hot when I got back to the hotel, and it was delicious!

Yelp
Ok food, poor service, excellent value on Tuesdays. Waited when we came in to be seated. The place is huge; really big. Somehow no hostess or server to greet us for several minutes. Ok, fine, though a bit frustrating because they weren't very busy. Our waiter was fairly gruff. Ok, fine, not his job to be friends, and he did make some good recommendations: get the slaw instead of lettuce and tomatoes. But, when you tell the customer no to something that they menu says yes to, an explanation is owed, and none was forthcoming. Ok, fine, but he also didn't bring the additional tortillas that we ordered. Salsas had plenty of heat, and were good. Meat was flavorful; though the beef was a bit chewy. Guacamole was good and plentiful. Beans had lots of flavor and a bit of heat. Recommendation: Go on Tuesday and share a Taco Platter. Get the pork and chicken. This is a good deal even when it isn't on special, and a spectacular deal on Tuesdays.

Yelp
What a great unassuming spot! We had tried going to the doghouse, but the wait was long and were told we could try Andele across the street - same food, same menu. Although it was packed, we were seated promptly. Our server was friendly and answered all our question. I loved the salsa bar - so many options for everyone's palates. The pork al carbon tacos were so tasty! The fries with cheese and added beef were also really great. Don't miss this place if you're visiting.

Yelp
First time here and I will be back! Had the number one combination plate and everything was delicious! Sonny, our waiter, was attentive, but also let us enjoy our meal. Everything came out quickly, and the prices are very reasonable for the large portions you get. Great place.
google avatar

Yelp
Always always always a good experience! The food is consistently good! My favorite order is: enchiladas with chicken, onion, egg, and sour cream. I have ordered it way more times than I have yelped it. I highly recommend. You may have to wait, it may be busy, the price is a bit high. But, it's the best green enchiladas anywhere!

Yelp
Being from So Cal and having been to New Mexico several times, I wasn't expecting much, but the wife wanted to prove me wrong, so she picked this place and Wow! * Draft beer under $5 (for 24 oz) * Flan for $5 * All you can eat Menudo for $10, * Al Carbon Tacos for $12 (they say enough for 4, but I also used my wife's large tortilla for the remaining ingredients to make a large taco (so I'll say 5.5 tacos) * A very good Salsa Bar (the Chipotle sauce was the BOMB!) This place was awesome!

Tammy B.

Yelp
We we're on a road trip and we're looking for good Mexican food. I had the Verde combination plate number one and it was fantastic. Love this place.

Yelp
Visiting Las Cruces and took the family out for lunch. Asked for suggestions and Andele was the answer. There were seven of us and the server still managed to get everything correct and in short order to boot. We were in a room near the back all to ourselves. Very nice with plenty of space. Getting back to New Mexico is such a treat. Real green chile, red sauce and sopapillas. We had green chile enchiladas, combination plate, tacos, red chile enchiladas and of course rice and beans. Plus the pea de resistance, sopapillas with honey. Whether you're local or visiting make time for a fantastic meal. Can't wait for the next visit.

Yelp
We've been finding ourselves in las cruces more often and this place has become one of our must do restaurants when in town. The menu is varied and the hidden menu has its charms too. We SUPER ENJOY the amazing salsa bar every time. Totally fresh, completely authentic and definitely worth trying all of the choices! Andele never leaves you hungry or unsatisfied. Plates are big and filling, especially the Juevos Rancheros or the taco platters. Prices are great and flavors are strong. Yum is the best way to describe this place. Just "Yummmmmm" it's fun and festive, the staff are great and attentive and always willing to make everything just right. Andele brings everything you want for a nice romantic dinner to a massive party. They can handle it. Parking in Mesilla is weird all over, but if you aren't a rock star, a nice walk back to the car after eating here is also pretty good. Just come, see, and enjoy! Unless you're a whiny snowbird. If you are a karen snowbird, there's a taco bell up the street. Andele and it's SUPER AMAZING salsa bar is not for the weak of taste or some of the greatest flavors New Mexican cuisine has to offer. Looking forward to our 5th trip to Andele, hopefully in the fall. Try the drink specials, btw, have all of them if you have a designated driver. This place is worth your time, your money and your visit. You won't be let down, I promise

Yelp
Fast friendly server. Crowded- always a good sign Marginal margarita returned without a complaint. Family friendly place. Classic Mexican restaurant

Yelp
Stopped by on our way from phoenix to Texas. Was rated high, figured why not. I had the flauta plate which was good. Not the best I've had but it was good. My husband had the shish kabob which the meat was super tender and he had no complaints. The hot sauces to me are literally the highlight... when it's called hot sauce, it's literally HOT. I loved it ... bought some to go!

Yelp
An absolute must stop if you're near Las Cruces. I went into a shop and asked the clerk for her Mexican restaurant recommendation. She tried to send me to a nearby tourist restaurant. I asked, "Where do YOU go for Mexican food?" Andele she says, so we did. It was truly love at first bite. The various salsa was so fresh. Everything was flavorful, without being overdone. Two entrees was less than $30! Truly one of the best Central Region Mexican food I've had in the States. BTW, the combination plate #1 included 4 items. I thought I had to choose 2 of the 4. Husbands ordered 4 taco plate with pork. I don't generally eat pork, but he urged me to take a bite. Oh my seasonings! I wish I ate pork! Our waiter was very attentive. He was so on top of things and not just with us, but all of his tables.

Yelp
Most of the people were nice; not our waiter. I strongly encourage the management to take an honest look at one gentleman in particular: James.

Yelp
Consistently the best New Mexican food in Las Cruces and an absolute must-stop location when I'm in town. The green enchiladas and beef tacos al carbon are my all time favorites - the green sauce is magical! The salsa bar, cheap beers, and friendly service every time we come here add to the reasons to visit. It's a great casual spot that's perfect for small or larger groups. We always grab some jarred salsa on the way out to keep getting our Andele's fix at home.
google avatar

Bob M.

Yelp
Can I give this place six stars? A genuine Mexican restaurant in a world of Tex-Mex imposters. We've only eaten here once and would come back weekly if we lived in Las Cruces. The salsas on the salsa bar are incredibly good and my enchilada was also excellent. Even the rice was excellent. The service was quick and very friendly. The ambience is not fancy but somewhat fancy for a genuine Mexican place. If you are nearby you owe yourself a trip to Andele!

Yelp
This was a follow up visit. I was very much not impressed the first time but opted to give them a second chance to prove me wrong. That and a co-worker really wanted to go. Do we did. Service was prompt and seating was quick. The place was busy. Locals and tourists. Chips were brought to the table they were stale. A second batch was also brought they were warm but had like an old stale taste. So we passed. As you can see by the picture. My co-worker ordered the house specialty The Taco El Carbon Plate. He said it was seasoned really well but was way over cooked and tough. Very Basic his words not mine. I ordered the #3 combination. Rice n Beans were good. the Red Chile con carne was cold, the Chile Relleno was burnt. Again very basic done wrong. This may be acceptable to tourists but this will be my last visit. There are too many options here for Mexican Food. I don't know what's going on here but it needs a fixin. I'd pass if you're considering a place to eat. Don't believe the hype. It was weak and has seen better days.

Yelp
The Green Chili burrito is delicious and my wife loved the Green Chili Pozole. Highly recommend when passing through Las Cruces.
google avatar

Christina L.

Yelp
Carne Adovada overcooked. Service is average since Covid but need more servers! The atmosphere is terrific. Prices are decent. Salsa bar loaded.

Arianna F.

Yelp
This is one of my most favorite places in this town. Everything from the chips and salsa to the desserts are amazing here. I absolutely love the Green Chile Chicken Enchiladas. You will not be disappointed!
google avatar

Karen E.

Yelp
This has been a favorite go to since we moved to Las Cruces. They continue to reduce the size of everything and raise prices, today my Andele salad had 3 small strips of chicken breast and not even a quarter of avacado. Truly disappointing.
google avatar

Hannah A.

Yelp
Good food and very quick service! We had a large group (9 people) and we were served very efficiently. I got the tostadas compuestas and it was very good, could have been spicier IMO. Also got the carne adovada and it was pretty decent, not particularly noteworthy.
google avatar

Georgey Z.

Yelp
Waiting staff was super friendly, fast, and knowledgeable. Salsa bar is also great! Number 1 Verde was the big winner though. Posole was a nice touch. Burrito was good but red sauce is not my favorite (tasted like nothing but spice), and kind of annoyed that it was an extra $3 for the sauce (to smother burrito) that I didn't even like and was also included at the salsa bar, but what can you do. I would still return!
google avatar

Zack S.

Yelp
The food and the service is amazing at this local restaurant in Mesilla. I highly recommend that you give them a try if you were in the area the sauces are fabulous, drinks are amazing and red chili was delicious

Gerald S.

Yelp
Food was poor! Little taste under cooked and just flat all around. I would not recommend at all

Betty L.

Yelp
The food and the service was excellent. All the servers were smiling and asked if they could help if we needed anything. The salsa bar had a lot of choices and very good. I have to get green chicken enchiladas. Every time I go in there they are awesome.

Yelp
Andele Restaurant was our first stop after reaching Las Cruces on a late Sunday evening. Even at 8PM, the parking lot was almost completely full, and when we walked in, we saw most of the tables occupied. Luckily, we didn't have to wait for a seat. This was our first time trying New Mexican food, so we tried to get a variety of foods. Chips and Salsa (Complimentary) - The chips seem to be fried in house, although there were quite a few broken pieces in the bowl and a smattering of whole chips on top. They were served warm and crunchy. Andele has 5 types of salsa in the salsa bar to choose from, plus jalapeno toreados. The salsa choices include chili de arbol (super smoky and the spiciest of the bunch), jalapeno tomatillo (possibly the least spicy), chipotle (less spicy than the arbol due to addition of sour cream), pico (2nd least spicy, due to addition of raw jalapeno - there was way more jalapeno than onion/tomato), and traditional red chili salsa (medium spicy). The server delivers the chips, but you can get the salsa yourself. I heard that at the Doghouse across the street (same food, but patio/outdoor dining) you can get the chips yourself. Cup of Posole ($7.20) - Delicious. Medium spicy, filled with tender chunks of pork, hominy that had a good bite, rich and savory broth. It came with generous amounts of raw diced onion, cilantro, and oddly four packets of saltines. I didn't use any of the saltines. It also came with a lime sliced in half, but it was kind of dried out and impossible to get any juice out of. Speaking to someone else, apparently there's an option of bolillo bread instead of the saltines, but we weren't given the choice when ordering. Maybe it was because I got it as an appetizer instead of the full order? Combination Plate Number 1 ($13.05) - This came with an enchilada, relleno, flauta, and green chile con carne. Texturally, there isn't much difference between the sauce and the rolled enchilada, so it was hard to tell what was what. It gets a bit lost in all the toppings. The chile relleno seemed to be hand battered and fried in a delightfully chewy batter. The beef flauta was just randomly hanging out on the side. It was fried well and crisp. The green chili con carne was nice and came with chunks of meat and fluffy potatoes, with a slight spice from the hatch chiles. Most of the plate was topped with a bunch of queso and cheddar cheese, which helped a little to mellow out the spiciness of the green sauce (it's still pretty spicy so be careful!). The accompanying Mexican rice and refried beans pretty standard, nothing special. Combination Plate Number 2 ($13.05) - Just coming in from Tucson, where the Sonoran style food we got wasn't particularly spicy, we did not expect the spice levels here. My wife regretted getting this with every bite. She is not used to eating spicy food and this absolutely demolished her. After a few bites, we had to switch plates. They put a ridiculous amount of arbol? based red sauce on the top, giving a super smoky and spicy taste. As with the Combo #1, the enchilada kinds of gets lost in all the sauce. The red chili con carne came with lots of meat and potatoes, all tender with a nice savory taste to start, then a spice that starts to build up. Don't rely on the tender chunks of potato to hide you from the spice - it's quite potent. The chicken flauta was also just randomly placed on the side here as well. The pork tamale was filled with shredded pork and smothered with that red sauce. Andele has some great food at good prices. It was a lot spicier than we thought going in so we couldn't enjoy it as much, but if you like spicy food, Andele is a great choice.

Yelp
Quick, cheap, and the food/service was good. Also, if you're traveling, it's close to Interstate 10. I will definitely eat here again.
google avatar

Rita D.

Yelp
Great food. It says that it closes at 8 pm but they still take customers for food. Just no alcohol. The green chile is so delicious. Wish we had ordered red chile. New Mexico food is the best.

Lisa M.

Yelp
Excellent high quality food and service by Savanah! We enjoyed a pizza with sausage and goat cheese cooked perfectly with a thin crust! Entrée was linguine with crab, stuffed prawns and an herb, lemon butter sauce! One of the best dishes we have ever had and we are foodies! Highly recommend going to Andele Restaurant for lunch or dinner!

Robert L.

Yelp
Truly spicy and delicious Mexican food! They are busy but hustle with a smile! Enjoy!

Yelp
Great service and the food was seasoned well. We did have a wait to be seated but it was not longer than 15 minutes.

Yelp
I was a regular customer until relatively recently. I used to stop by two or three times a month and what I appreciated most was the consistency in the food and service. If I ordered something once, I knew it would be exactly the same on my next visit. I stopped visiting on a regular basis because the prices increased and I was encountering issues with the service and food preparation. The last time I dined at the restaurant, we were seated way in the back of the building even though there were plenty of seats at the front. There was nobody else in the back so it felt like we were being stuffed in the corner. We've been here many times before so we ordered as soon as we were seated but our food took twice as long to arrive compared to entire groups of people who came in after us. Our drinks arrived at the same time as our food. My entree plate didn't have the lettuce and tomato so I asked our waiter and he was like "oh, ok", and brought them out on a separate plate. I thought it was just a mistake that time but when I picked up a to-go order tonight, neither of the meals included the lettuce and tomato. The menu still says they're included but I guess you won't get them unless you ask. Otherwise you're left with a heap of watery beans and dried out rice. The pork used to be my favorite meat at Andele but its not very good anymore. I paid $2 extra for pork on my enchiladas and I got about one spoonful of rubbery meat. Its disappointing but I don't think I'll be back.

Alicia B.

Yelp
If you're looking for Mexican comfort food, this is your place. We were seated at a VERY small, tight 2 top table. I couldn't even move my arm to eat. They sat about 6 couples AFTER us at four- top tables, which was frustrating. But your could get a 20 oz beer for only about $5. I wouldn't say we wouldn't go again, but I would insist on a larger table.
google avatar

Charlotte M.

Yelp
Tried to order green chile, ended up with a giant cheese cup. Need to be clearer when describing items to customers. Churros not good.
google avatar

Daniel L.

Yelp
Standard Mexican food (3.5/5) with nice chips and salsa bar, prompt service though the place is massive, homey and busy ambience. Stopped here while driving thru town. Shrimp cocktail had nice flavor after adding in the lime and cilantro. Combo plate #2 was tasty. Got a fish taco plate too go - I imagine it would've been better and crispier fresh, but flavors were tasty. Massive portions despite increasing prices- can't imagine how it was back in the day when prices were cheaper and portions were still massive.

Swati B.

Yelp
So full disclosure, we specifically came here for the desert and we were not disappointed. I'll get into that more a little bit later. Came in on a Sunday afternoon, and it was pretty packed, but you could tell that folks come here often and enjoy their food. Our server was Morgan, and she was wonderful. Super helpful, and even brought a friend over to help us make our dessert selections. they have a salsa bar which is always a good sign, and a pretty extensive menu of New Mexican food. Overall, I would say the food was fine. We've had a ton of New Mexican food over the years from Roswell to Gallup, and this was pretty on par. However, we had heard the hype about their pecan pie and homemade ice cream, and our expectations were exceeded. Both were absolutely delicious, and if you come in you definitely need to get the pie à la mode. If we were to drive through again, we would probably try another restaurant for food, but would definitely swing by for dessert.

Yelp
Great food, family atmosphere, the tacos are awesome...get there early on Friday and Saturday or prepare y to wait.
google avatar

Kim G.

Yelp
We were traveling through Mesilla and decided to stop here for lunch based on Yelp and other reviews. I had the taco special with chicken. My husband had the enchiladas with chicken. The tacos came with a spicy bean soup that was probably the most tasty thing other than the guacamole. The chips were good. The rest of the food just average. The diced white meat chicken was slightly overcooked. Nothing special about the dining room. Service was attentive and good. Not a long wait for our food. Wouldn't go back.

Santiago R.

Yelp
Excellent food and just the right amount of spice. Well prepared and delicious. Guaranteed to get your money's worth. We're regulars now.

Yelp
When I first got into town I said I wanted to eat here, tried three times already but never had the ability to. I finely made it for the first time with the family after a year. Excellent! Everything over all excellent. There is something on the menu for everyone. And it's all very filling. The service was a bit more faster the expected especially for how busy the place is. Great job! My family of four was able to be seated right away! Mellow room setting. I can't wait to go and eat here again!
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
Good drinks, good food, cool & spacious ambiance, they are very accommodating to larger parties, but will make you wait if your entire party isn't there (over 5 people). I got a house margarita, and it was made with a sour mix, so it was just okay. Our server was okay- he got straight down to business and didn't play games, not super friendly or talkative, which was fine. Our food came out pretty quickly and was good. Not my favorite for New Mexican food, but still good.
google avatar

Kim L.

Yelp
I love the pet friendly vibe her, excellent service, and good food! Perfect lunch stop in La Mesilla! I loved the chips and salsa bar, the red salsa was very hot, the pico was perfect for me! I had the green chili bowl that came with a choice of corn or flour tortillas, the bowl was excellent, love New Mexico green chili, coming from Tucson, this is really something different. My friend ordered an amazing looking grilled chicken salad that was packed with greens, and avocado! Lots of seating both inside and outside, great place!
google avatar

Kansas L.

Yelp
I asked her if it was all correct and she had a bad attitude just to come home with it incorrect I asked for onions on the side so what is this? And what was the point of the bad attitude??
google avatar

Nate A.

Yelp
The best Mexican restaurant in Las Cruces hands down. I make it a point to eat here each time I visit and have yet to be disappointed. The triple stacked enchiladas are incredible and when paired with the green sauce provides for a very filling and delicious meal with plenty of leftovers. Their beer prices are also insanely cheap for a big domestic mug, you won't be able to find deals like this anywhere else. And don't forget to grab a jar of salsa or two on the way out, especially the chipotle and tomatillo jalapeño green. Can't wait to get back here!!
google avatar

Yelp
Great Mexican food and good service. It needs more ambiance. It gets too crowded at dinner time.
