Sleek family-friendly pizzeria in art deco former tire shop offering thin-crust pies & patio dining.
"The MiMo pizza spot is mostly safe from storms thanks to its wide roof. They’ve also recently added some additional outdoor seating, so you shouldn’t have a problem getting a table here. Reservations aren’t required. Being in the mood for pizza, however, kind of is." - ryan pfeffer
"Andiamo looks like it might take off and fly into outer space at any moment. It was originally built in 1956 as a tire shop and it’s one of the best examples of the “Miami Modern” architectural style. It’s now a very popular pizza place—thanks in part to Miami’s lack of reliable pizza places, but Andiamo’s pizza is also much better than just a last resort. It’s on the thicker side of the thin-crust spectrum and comes with a lot of topping options. Our favorite is the very heavy Sunday pie with meatballs, ricotta, pepperoncini, parmesan, and basil. Most of the seating is outside, so it’s a great choice if you want to eat pizza while watching cars whiz by on Biscayne." - Ryan Pfeffer
"Andiamo looks like it might take off and fly into outer space at any moment. The MiMo restaurant was originally built in 1956 as a tire shop, and it has a huge roof that extends over the front patio. This means the outdoor seating here (which is pretty much the only place to sit) is always shaded. So it’s a good place to be on a hot day, especially if you’re craving pizza. The Sunday pie (meatballs, ricotta, pepperoncini, and parmesan) is a good one to order if you believe a pizza can never have too many toppings." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo
"Housed inside a former tire shop, this neighborhood pizza staple boasts plenty of covered outdoor seating to protect guests from even the most brutal of Miami elements. For all the pizza junkies hankering for more than the ordinary cheese, pepper and mushroom toppings, opt for the make-your-own pizza and choose from an assortment of daily-delivered toppings, like pancetta, prosciutto, eggplant and broccoli rabe, just to name a few." - Olee Fowler
"Andiamo looks like it might take off and fly into outer space at any moment. It was originally built in 1956 as a tire shop and it’s one of the best examples of “Miami Modern” architecture. It’s now a popular pizza place—but far from the best one in Miami. It does the trick for easy takeout or an office party, but the lackluster dough here just doesn't make this a pizza worth prioritizing." - Ryan Pfeffer
