Best Dishes Eater Editors Ate This Week: May 28 - Eater NY

"My favorite Basque cheesecake of the last year didn’t come from a Spanish restaurant: It came from Ando Patisserie, an Asian dessert shop that opened in the East Village two years ago. The owner, Nic Yang, has become known for his French desserts made with Asian flavors: There are durian parfaits, taro profiteroles, black sesame crepes, and more. He makes a great cheesecake, too. It’s called a Basque lava cheesecake, and I can see why: The filling is soft and moist, to the point that it almost oozes ($15)." - Eater Staff

A tiny cafe but very cozy and sweet place. Desserts were great. Orange americano and passion fruit lemon tea were great as well. A staff was very friendly and kind.

Google
Visited in September and camped outside in front of Mew to enjoy the Yuzu Lemon Lava Cheesecake, which was very bright in terms of its citrus notes. Great quaint spot - I had to come back to even in the freezing cold. This time brought a friend to enjoy the seasonal Black Sesame and Soy Custard Roll which was nutty and spongey. Got the Chestnut Montblanc Roll which had mochi inside. Both not too sweet :)

Google
Very nice dessert place! Tried the oolong basque cake, and earl grey egg custard tart - the teas were very pronounced in both, not overly sweet nor rich - a fun dessert. Impressive variety for the size of the place.

Google
This place was a walk by surprise find. We had the oolong basque cheesecake which was tea forward and fragrant. The black sesame lava cream crepe roll was creamy and nutty. Both were perfect for an afternoon snack.

Google
This place provides worst service I have ever been though their dessert is okay. I ordered their dessert via their local delivery group. And the experience was a disaster. Here is a summary of the issues: 1. Zero communication during ordering unless you proactively follow up. After I paid my order and send proof, they never ever confirm until I asked. 2. They deliver at 11PM without earlier notice. If I was aware that the delivery would be that late, I would never order. 3. Worst than zero communication in delivery and my story is a bit long: They put multiple delivery bags in the lobby of my building at 11PM without informing me the location of my bag. The next day, I realized that I picked up someone else's bag via a message sent from the store staff at 11:40PM the earlier day. According to the store staff, my bag is on the second level but I picked the bag on the surface level and they blamed me for not confirming. Their proposal for resolving the issue is I have to be the delivery person to send the bag I picked up wrong to a different address and they would refund me as the original owner of the bag does not live in my building. It is ridiculous that they do not inform me the exact location of my bag via a picture or anything and then blame me on the issue. And the bag I picked up has lower total value than what I ordered. In summary, when you are the victim of the store's bad service, you need to pay for the price.

I ordered their seasonal dessert called chestnut mont blanc roll. Personally I love chestnut and mont blanc roll and this is so good. It’s not too sweet like I can enjoy eat all of it by myself. The thing I like about this roll is it has a lot of texture! ( Almond slices, chestnut cream and moji ! ) overall it’s worth to try :)) will come back again to try more of their pastry!

Google
A cozy cafe with delicious, creamy, and light oolong basque cheesecake. Not too much seating but highly recommend the desserts. Jasmine panna cotta was refreshing and balanced.

Google
Basque cheesecake has a smooth consistency. Soft, gooey towards the center, and slightly firmer around the edge. It was moderately sweet, topped with an airy whip. Pretty presentation. Service is kind and quick. This place is mainly takeout, with some curbside seating.

Yelp
Good dessert~absolutely loving it!Basque Lava Cake of daily special flavor and BoozyTiramisu are my favorite!

Yelp
The basque lava cake was fantastic and super smooth. We ordered the pistachio one and the crunch on top was fabulous! Very small place but highly recommend for take out too

Yelp
So bomb! coming back for sure. I got a sesame latte-hot and a corn latte cold and the gave us them in these really cool cups

Yelp
Had the Osmanthus oolong lava cake and it was the perfect texture, not too sweet with good tea flavor. Paired with a white peach tea for an amazing after dinner stop in.

Yelp
Small cozy space, there's only about two seats available. The whole place smells of fragrant pastries. Lots of items looked interesting.
google avatar

Holly C.

Yelp
Small shop but lots of choices!! Limited seating inside but there are some outside as well. Black Sesame anything here is amazing!! The black sesame latte hot was better than cold. You taste the real sesame flavor while the cold seems to be lost. The basque lava cake was more like a cheesecake. There was no flow of cream but it was smooth texture with each bite. The oolong flavor was coming out strong in flavor, you taste the tea and not just cream. Very good! Would come back to try the other flavors. Sesame lava cream crepe roll was cold, i thought it would warm. It's a sticky texture like mochi but not chewy. There's creme in between each layer. This is just okay.

Yelp
Located in East Village, this Asian fusion cafe has lots of unique pastries and a calm ambiance. Came here on a summer afternoon, and there were a few tables inside available for seating. We ordered the Milk Seal Pudding, which was next to other unique animal-themed pastries. The service was prompt since the pastry was in the display case.
google avatar

Mimi L.

Yelp
Small yet quaint bakery with just a counter and a little space to stand though there are a few seats outside. We ordered the yuzu cheesecake and the citrus from the yuzu balanced out the heaviness of the cheesecake perfectly. It was delicious, would definitely recommend!!
google avatar

Tsvika K.

Yelp
I expected a lot from this tiny place . And that's exactly what I got ! Fantastic pastries , mostly the osmanthus oolong lava cheesecake and the yuzu lemon one . Their tiramisu is arguably one of the best in the city . Not like many other pastry places they don't "almost freezing" their pastries so it's at this patisserie it's a room temperature as it should be . The service is great and friendly . Highly recommended!!!! Definitely a destination!!!!

Yelp
I came by to pick up some desserts to share. Got the pork floss taro dessert as well as the black sesame cake; it's honestly quite expensive even by NY standards, so definitely be ready for it. All the desserts are pretty strongly Asian inspired which I appreciate! The mochi taro dessert is super unique. It's barely sweet, and almost has more savory notes from the pork floss. The taro flavor is super strong because there's a really thick layer of it, and it provides a super creamy texture. I do wish there was a bit less mochi, but it did add a great chew. Overall, awesome dessert; for me personally though, I do wish it was a bit sweeter. The black sesame cake was also great. The cream was light and very strongly black sesame flavor, and the cake itself was light and airy. Again, not very sweet at all. Overall, definitely a steeper price, but great, unique desserts. Give it a try!

Yelp
My experience was overall very good. I had high expectations coming here since it's been on my list for a while now. Boozy tiramisu - soooooo good. you can actually taste and feel the alcohol in it, while also tasting the tiramisu part of it. it was DELICIOUS. But I think there was some plastic in my piece; maybe like a plastic wrap? I did not say anything about it though. Otherwise, it was very good. probably my favorite of all we tried. Black sesame lava cream roll - very very sesame-y, not too sweet, and super melt-in-your-mouth soft. I was pleasantly surprised. really enjoyed this one! probably my 2nd fav. Earl grey custard tarts - could definitely tell the earl grey was in there. it was good but too small. I wish they would make it attest double the size. you do get 2 tarts per order but I felt like it was more of the pastry than the earl grey custard itself. Pistachio raspberry roll - very good, not too sweet at all, and creamy. I honestly couldn't taste the pistachio in it. I liked this one but it was probably my least fav just because it was nothing that special that I was hoping for. delicious but the others just wow'd me better. Other than everything being good, it was also very expensive (we paid about $65 for 4 deserts) and the staff wasn't that nice. We were a group of 6 people sharing 4 desserts so we asked for a few more forks and the staff was not trying to give us more forks... So they're a bit stingy on their utensils I guess. But despite this, it's probably my new fav dessert spot in nyc. I will definitely come here when I am craving dessert and want to treat myself.

Yelp
I had tasted some bits from a friends' leftovers before and went to try it myself. Overall, it caters to less sweet flavors which was not enough for me when it comes to desserts, but the flavors did come out strong. The osmantheu cheesecake did taste the best and I would get this again. The tea flavor is strong here. The earl Grey egg tarts has decent flavor and crisp texture but again not sweet enough. The jasmine Panna cotta was free with yelp check in. It tasted more like sweet Tofu (Chinese 'dessert') but you can very much taste the jasmine as well.

Yelp
Stumbled upon the cutest dessert spot around St. Mark's Place called Ando! They serve the most creative Asian desserts, and as a black sesame fanatic, I couldn't resist the black sesame crepe lava roll. It's pure magic - light and airy crepe wrapped around a rich, creamy filling with a molten black sesame center that oozes with every bite. The nutty, slightly sweet flavor is simply divine. But that's not all - you can try so many other goodies like their affogato coffee latte, which is a perfect blend of espresso and creamy goodness, or their decadent Basque lava cake. I also got their black sesame latte, which I had to add some sweetener to since it wasn't sweet enough for my major sweet tooth, but it still complemented all the treats perfectly. The atmosphere is cozy, with a small area and some outside seating. The barista was super nice, making the experience even more enjoyable. While it's definitely a little pricey and their servings are a bit smaller than they look, I found the portions to be filling and perfect for sharing between two people. Ando has truly elevated the dessert game with their innovative creations. Highly recommend for any dessert lover!
google avatar

Jenny C.

Yelp
The basque cheesecake was great. It was smooth and creamy on the inside and a stiffer contrasting outer layer. And the tea flavors were very well balanced with the richness of the cream cheese. The osmanthus flavor was mostly on the cream on top. The jasmine panna cotta was a miss for me. It was more of a jello consistency rather than the texture of panna cotta. And it was definitely way too expensive. The store is quite small with only one or two tables outside.
google avatar

Yelp
A devine asian dessert store well worth the high prices! So yummy and perfect amount of sweetness (not very much) that is typical of asian desserts. My friend from China noted that it's similar to what she would go to at home for some nice coffee and dessert and absolutely loved the experience. Store front is small but they have some seating options in the summer.
google avatar

Nav S.

Yelp
A much needed dessert shop !! Some of the most unique and yummy desert can be found here. And everything I've gotten so far has been a success! Definitely recommend the crepe roll, the egg tarts and pudding. Service is super quick and friendly and the outdoor dining really helps to enjoy the yummy desserts!
google avatar

Ruby N.

Yelp
This cute bakery offers French sweets with a twist of Asian influences. They even had a cute see through window to view the desserts that they had. On the wall, you'll find a visual of the items as well as seasonal specials. This bakery is on the pricy end however, the packaging and aesthetic of this shop is amazing. I ordered the Osmanthus Oolong Basque Lava Cake which literally melted in my mouth! It wasn't overly sweet and was super creamy. The presentation of the cake was perfect and it looked soo aesthetically pleasing.
google avatar

Yuna C.

Yelp
Such an interesting combination of flavors and various pastries to try! While we were so stuffed from dinner, we shared three desserts: 1) Earl Grey Portuguese Egg Tarts - honestly weren't my favorite but the egg tart itself was very crispy and wasn't sweet; leaned more of an eggy savory flavor. However, it is a very innovative/fun twist to classic egg tarts. 2) Coconut Milk Panna Cotta Roll - was surprised at how light and fresh this was! I felt it didn't have too strong of a coconut flavor and the roll and panna cotta were so airy! 3) Basque Oolong Lava Cake - I think this was my favorite of the three: very dense with a slight nuttiness, so it's the perfect "not too sweet" dessert! There's limited seating with three small camp chairs right in front of the shop and two plastic tables with chairs across.
google avatar

Sofia L.

Yelp
very cute cafe/patisserie in the lower east side. absolutely loved the outdoor seating and appreciated how easy it was to order and leave with your desserts. prices are a little high, but the desserts seem well crafted and were asian-inspired! I got the affogato and was a little disappointed there wasn't that much ice cream in it. I believe it's marketed to have three scoops, but there was only one. despite that, it was very yummy and turned into a nice drink once the ice cream melted. staff was very quick and I loved that they gave free fans!

Yelp
(Overall: A) - Ando Patiserrie is an innovative bakery with lots of unique Asian takes on popular desserts. The space itself is a small hole in the wall which only really supports takeout, but even then the space itself is nicely decorated. The flavor and the presentation definitelys drives the dessert and I would highly recommend others to try their creations. (Sesame Crepe Roll: A) - This is a smart take on crepes turning it into a swiss roll rather than a crepe cake. I love the forwardness of the sesame flavor that carries the dessert with a distinct nuttiness that is pleasant without being too sweet. The roll is also elegantly rolled and decorated in clean and secure packaging. (Taro and Egg Profiterole: A) - I really like the complexity of these dessert with the duality between the salted egg and taro, as well as the textural devlopment of that "bolo" crust of the profiterole shell. I think the dessert was on the verge of being more salty than sweet so I would've toned the sugar up a bit. The seaweed also is too thin to maintain structure so I think it could be benefitted if instead a nori tempura was topped. Otherwise, this has the makings of a signature dessert candidate for me. -- Food: +1 Presentation: +1 Price: E Atmosphere: E Service: E Menu: +2 Overall: +4 A Insta/Beli: @amei_eats

Yelp
Tried the Instagram famous black sesame lava crepe roll. Super pricy at $20+ with tax, but I gotta say Ando delivers. The black sesame flavor is fresh, the crepe cake is soft and pliant, the cream light and not too sweet, and the "lava" oozes the right amount. I could probably eat the whole log in one sitting without feeling gross, but a small piece is also satisfying enough to feel like I've had a nice treat. My friend also enjoyed the Mont Blanc and its tasty chestnut cream. The shop has a few seats outside, but inside is tiny and only large enough for a takeout line. Proprietor was nice enough, but this is one of those places that bribes people for 5 star reviews on Google for free product. (Yelpers are legit!) Considering the high price tag on just about everything on its droolworthy menu, Ando is very much a celebration kinda spot.

Yelp
Great place for people who don't love super sweet desserts! This is a tiny shop in East village and there isn't much room inside so I would recommend knowing what you want before you go. There is one bench to eat inside, but I would get takeout. The flavors intrigued me because they were a mix of French and Chinese flavors. I got two desserts: * Earl Grey Portuguese Custard Tart - 9/10 - the custard filling was bouncy and smooth and had a decently strong earl grey flavor. The crust was flakey and buttery. The boba balls were a fun touch to the dessert, but they do get hard if you refrigerate them. It was the perfect amount of sweetness for me. * Black Sesame Lava Cream Crepes Roll - 8/10 - If you love black sesame desserts, then you'll probably like this. The liquid lava center had a strong black sesame flavor. The cream was very light and airy. This dessert was a little one dimensional in terms of flavor though. Overall, these desserts were definitely pricey for what you get, but I liked the unique flavors. They were perfect in terms of sweetness. I could eat a lot with feeling sick from the sweetness.
google avatar

Megana V.

Yelp
3 words are all I need to describe this place: Not too sweet. They have a great selection of French pastors with Asian flavors! All of the flavors are strong and it's not cloyingly sweet. It's not cheap but the black sesame crepe, for example, was incredibly filling and can be shared with at least 5 people. Overall I rec this place and want to try other desserts!
google avatar

Kelly L.

Yelp
Came to Ando Patisserie with my friend after a recommendation from IG to try their Osmanthus Basque Gway-Hua Oolong Lava Cheesecake ($15). However, it was just okay for me because the taste was mild, and I would have liked more oolong tea flavor. I did like the light cream on top though. I'm glad my friend ordered the Jasmine panna cotta ($6) to try. The jasmine flavor is strong, and panna cotta is one of my favorite desserts. The place is tiny. There are 2 seating areas that fit 2 people each, but even if you are sitting it feels very crowded.

Tim Z.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and amazing food. Strongly recommend!! Tried the Mochi and taro, will come back soon.
google avatar

Cris N.

Yelp
In town to visit and I happened to stop by this cute little coffee shop! I got their Christmas wreath coffee because it was so cute! Good flavor and worker was attentive and helpful. I will come back when I'm in town!
google avatar

Yin Y.

Yelp
It's around 3.5. Got the matcha basque lava cake and jasmine pana cotta. Basque was not so lava-y. Matcha flavor came through on the first bite, but it kinda disappeared as I ate more. The jasmine pana cotta was so light or maybe too light in terms of jasmine flavor. It's a bit pricey. I do like their sweet level on dessert though.
google avatar

Yuchin C.

Yelp
Got the osmanthus oolong basque cheesecake. You can taste the tea in the cheesecake. Wasn't able to finish the slice by myself bc it felt kind of heavy. It was light and wasn't too sweet. Idk if I'll get it again if I'm eating it by myself though.
google avatar

Tinna Y.

Yelp
Love it! This place is very Asian, hope I don't offend anyone if I said it's Taiwan fusion, because it's the first thought that pops to my mind when I took a bite of the Qing Tuan (chewy rice cake 粿 texture with salted egg yolk and meat floss), it's a taste that most of the Taiwanese will appreciate. Then I had the Taro vitellus custard profiterole, it's a fancy name for cream puff (sorry), the taro is not too sweet, the salted egg yolk cream, sweet and savory, perfect balance. Why the seaweed? I don't know, for the look?! I also bought the Black Sesame lava cream crepes roll. The drink is very small, probably 8oz for hot tea and 12oz for cold coffee. I had orange americano, it's a full cup of orange juice with coffee, and a candy orange slice on top (or just a dried slice orange??) the coffee is good by itself, but if you stir it up, the citrusy of the juice and the bitterness of the coffee is ideal for a warm afternoon walk in the city. It's a bit pricy, but unlike the other traditional pastries (croissant) or Asian roasted pork bun, try this place instead.
google avatar

Juju K.

Yelp
The desserts are so pretty and pretty pricey but I love how their pastries are not too sweet. It's just the right level of sweetness for me. My faves are earl gray egg tarts with boba and their black sesame cake. If you're looking for decadent desserts that are not overly sweet, try Ando!
google avatar

Ilonachka N.

Yelp
Found this place randomly and had to try it when I came down to the east village. Cute cafe with outdoor seating, perfect for summer nights. Service was quick and nice. I really wanted the black sesame crepe but they ran out so we settled for the bosque cake. It was delicious! I'm not a fan of bosque cakes but it was very different - not too sweet with a very distinct texture. I would def have it again!
google avatar

Alicia Z.

Yelp
This place is a super tiny, actual hole in the wall dessert place. There are a total of maybe four seats inside and it feels so cramped when more people are in line. The dessert concepts are interesting and Asian inspired. Very pricey. I got the black sesame lava crepe cake, which is super shareable. It got bland and felt really heavy barely a few bites in, since there is so much cream inside. I do like that the desserts aren't overly sweet. My friend from China got one of the durian desserts and also thought it was a bit heavy.
google avatar

Elizabeth X.

Yelp
Cute bakery with very intriguing and delicious items. Not much room to sit so it's more of a grab and go, but you might get lucky for a seat like we did. Staff is incredibly nice. We got the black sesame crepes with lava cream - wow! Texture is soft and pillowy, and the sweetness level was PERFECTION. AKA, not too sweet hehe :) A bit pricey but would recommend visiting at least once!
google avatar

James L.

Yelp
Such creative and unique desserts here. Very impressed with the quality and taste. Small little shop with very few seating. They do have specials so some of the desserts you will see once and never again! Prices are on the higher end.
google avatar

Ida M.

Yelp
I've been coming here since it's opened. The desserts are delicious and consistently quality. I usually get the cream cheese sponge cake. Today, I've got the chestnut cake roll. Nice weather to sit outside. Service is good.
google avatar

Marina S.

Yelp
Tasty dessert (I had Boozy Tiramisu) and drink was great too. Not giving 5 stars because in my opinion it's overpriced: $12 for small dessert and $5 for medium iced drink Located on a cozy street, recommend to visit it after dark
google avatar

Alice X.

Yelp
Got the panna cotta and custard tarts. Panna cotta $6 - 5/5 light, not too sweet and smooth. I bought another one when I left. Custard tart $12 for two tarts - 3/5 it was good but the cocoa powder flavor was overwhelming everything else. Just tasted like cocoa. I would like it better without it, or maybe a very very light dusting. Tiny place, expect a wait. Not many tables. Prices are steep.
google avatar

Ann S.

Yelp
I really like the cold orange americano. It was very interesting to drink. Who knew orange when added to americano can be tasty. I also tried their other items: kumquat passion fruit tea, taro mochi parfait, pistachio raspberry roll, taro+vitellus custard profiterole, black sesame lava cream crepes roll, early grey portugese custard tart, jasmine panna cotta. Out of all the items, the most memorable one was the earl grey Portuguese custard tart. The crust was so flakey & the earl grey custard was very gooey & delicious. Staff was very nice & friendly. Some indoor & outdoor seating. Great to people watch here.
google avatar

Dorothy B.

Yelp
outdoor seating was super cute, but there was no seating inside. there was only person working register + coffee + food, so only one order was done at a time. thankfully, all the desserts were already prepped for to go, so it was quick. we got: black sesame latte ($7) - it was small and quite expensive, but it was delicious oolong basque cheesecake ($15) - the quality of the cake and the cream on top was fantastic, but the flavor of the oolong didn't really shine through.
google avatar

Alissa A.

Yelp
Pretty yummy desserts but they do come with a hefty price tag (I won a giveaway so that definitely made it better for me). We got the black sesame lava roll cake, yuzu basque cheesecake, and the taro cream puffs along with the jasmine panna cotta (free from checking in on yelp). My personal favorites were the black sesame roll cake (super strong black sesame flavor and light and fluffy cake that was moist) and the jasmine panna cotta (actually really loved this one it had a light consistency and i love jasmine). the cream puffs were well done as the exterior was crispy still, it just wasn't that amazing to me, and the yuzu basque cheesecake was good with a strong yuzu and cheesy flavor but can be a bit heavy.
google avatar

Andrew S.

Yelp
Delicious desserts!! Definitely we'll be coming back to try their rotating seasonal desserts, yummy
google avatar

Matthew H.

Yelp
Very cute small patisserie near all the yummy restaurants on St Marks / Union Square, so perfect for a post-meal dessert. My friend and I shared one slice/order of the oolong basque lava cheesecake. I love cheesecake so much and this was a great choice :) The cake itself was very soft and airy but with a strong, rich flavour, also nicely baked (just lightly burnt) on top. The cream on top was surprisingly delicious; the very clear-but-not-overpowering flavour of oolong was not too sweet at all, and paired so nicely with each bite of the cake. (Nothing at all like the type of icing/frosting that covers many Western desserts.) I did note that it's called 'osmanthus oolong ...' but didn't really note any osmanthus flavours, maybe the oolong was just too strong. I thought the black sesame crepe roll also seemed yummy - maybe next time :) Overall pleasantly surprised at how tasty the cake was; it was definitely on the expensive side, though. I think it's a good visit for an occasional splurge but nothing too frequent.
google avatar

Jennifer T.

Yelp
A small spot that offers unique Asian flavor inspired treats! I thought everything was well thought out and carefully done. After placing our order, we went to sit/wait outside as there was no indoor seating. Took a little for things to get to us though. Flavor wise, it just wasn't to my taste. The basque cheesecake is supposed to be decadent but it just ended tasting really heavy. Maybe it needed a bit more sweetness (usually I don't like super sweet desserts) to it to make it feel less heavy. The egg tarts were nice but it just was lacking a little. It's still a cute instagrammable spot, just really pricey to end up not loving each item
google avatar

Andrew K.

Yelp
Came here specifically for the Badque cheesecake, which was delicious and floral. The edges were perfect and the overall texture was creamy without being too sweet. If you check in, they give you a free panna cotta. Not a huge fan of this but it was a lovely texture overall. Fairly small spot so was grateful to grab a table just outside. A skosh pricy for the majority of their menu so opted not to get coffee here.
google avatar

Alanna V.

Yelp
Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 I came here on a Friday night around Halloween time, and the inside was so cutely decorated to match the season! There were a few people in front of me, but overall the line moved quickly. I ordered the Coffee Wine Tiramisu, and it was delicious. The alcohol was definitely present and worked well with the cream and lady fingers. Unfortunately, I had it after the chocolate cereal flakes went soft on top. The flavor was still good though.
google avatar

Cindy K.

Yelp
Quick service, great food. Really innovative Asian desserts. We got the Osmanthus Oolong Basque lava cake, the yuzu lemon seasonal special basque cake, and the black sesame lava cream crepe roll, and jasmine panna cotta. The taste is phenomenal for all of them! This is definitely a great spot after dinner for dessert!
google avatar

Nian Z.

Yelp
3.5/5 If you don't mind the price tag, the desserts are good, but I don't think it's amazing. Osmanthus Oolong Lava Cake: so the basque cheesecake part isn't crazy oozy, but still soft enough and tastes good. I loved the osmanthus oolong part, also not too sweet. Definitely can't see myself paying this much for another slice anytime soon so it's not a weekly treat haha Jasmine Panna Cotta: very light and fragrant. By itself it's fine, a little on the plain side for a $6 mini cup, but if you eat this with any of their other desserts and come back for another bite, it will literally taste like nothing. That's how light this is...so I'll have to pass again
google avatar

Pratima M.

Yelp
An East Village bakery serving up delicious pastries with an Asian twist -- I loved seeing flavors like Black Sesame and Yuzu. It's definitely on the pricier end, but I think it would be great for a celebratory treat. I got the Basque Lava Cheesecake and it was beautifully decorated and delicious -- they have a few seats outside, would recommend enjoying it on the patio if you can!

Yelp
friendly grab and go asian pastry place. they have many cute deserts that are very innovated. great drinks option too. there's no place to sit in the store you can only just grab and go. the black sesame crepe is great. not too sweet but a bit bitter. the chestnut mont blanc didnt meet my expectation, it's very cake like taste but not much chestnut flavor. Yelp check in got me a jasmin milk jelly , which i think it's light and really delicious.
