Here Are San Francisco's Most Iconic Drinks

"Generic iced coffee this is not. Andytown’s Snowy Plover deserves its own praise as a bubbly, caffeine-driven drink that keeps customers going through the day. It features Andytown espresso shot over sparkling water and simple syrup topped with house-made whipped cream. It’s a rejuvenating beverage with a caffeine kick in the pants." - Lauren Saria

SF Restaurants Support Making Slow Streets Permanent - Eater SF

"Andytown Coffee Roaster, noted for the Snowy Plover, a potent cold brew christened in honor of the birds seen flitting about in the Outer Sunset, has three locations: one at Taraval and 40th Avenue, one at Lawton near the Great Highway, and a downtown spot next to the Transbay Transit Center (currently shuttered). Co-owner Lauren Crabbe says, 'Honestly, everything was so topsy-turvy with the pandemic at play, but I can say for sure that our Taraval location has seen a lot of pedestrian traffic.'" - Brock Keeling

Andytown Review - Sunset - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"San Francisco has so many great coffee shops that they could have their own King Arthur-style mythology built around them, and if that existed, Andytown would definitely have a seat at that Round Table. Aside from making perfect coffee, this spot has excellent soda-bread scones and a concoction called the Snowy Plover with espresso, sparkling water, and whipped cream that always leads to a big line going out the door on the weekends." - Will Kamensky

Google
Andytown Coffee is hands down the best coffee I had in San Francisco. I tried their iced lavender latte, which is a seasonal specialty, and it was incredible—easily one of the best flavored lattes I’ve ever had. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I also ordered the Original Breakfast Sandwich, and it was amazing. It comes on perfectly toasted sourdough—soft on the inside with a slight crunch—stuffed with bacon, ham, eggs, and melted cheddar cheese. Every bite was comforting and flavorful. If you’re a coffee lover, this place is a must-visit. They have a few locations around San Francisco, so it’s easy to find one nearby. Highly recommended!

Google
Amazing coffee and super friendly baristas! The breakfast sandwiches are always made to order and a must try. If the weather permits, enjoy it at the back patio.

Google
Andytown is my favorite coffee in the city! I love stopping by here before walking on the Great Highway. Usually, I get a black coffee, but if I’m feeling fancy, I’ll treat myself to a Snowy Plover (the whipped cream is so delicious). The staff are friendly and the vibes are chill. You can hang in the back patio, which is nice! The pastries are so-so, if I’m being honest. I prefer their breakfast sandwich!

Google
Great lil’ patio in the back, and great lil’ patio in the front! Great place to soak up some Ocean Beach sun (or fog)! Loved my spro here today. Fantastic crema, rich and chocolatey beans. What’s not to like?! The eggshell blue set is also just adorable :)

Google
Best coffee in the city. They have their own style with everything they do that maintains a brand of minimalism combined with solid intricate choices. They always make sure your order is right. And most importantly, they don’t charge extra for oat milk/almond milk. Years ago people generally moved away from dairy except a handful of people. This trend is industry leading and should be noted by other coffee shops and one of the biggest factors in choosing which coffee to get. I hope we see more Andytown pop up in the city

Google
Whenever we're in the Sunset by the SF zoo, we go to Andytown. Our favorite drinks are the Matcha Plover and the Original Plover. While the matcha and espresso are wonderful alone, the Plovers are elevated by the addition of sparkling water, simple syrup, and generous dollops of the best whipped cream I've ever had. No matter how we try, we can't duplicate it at home. I imagine that any drink you try would be amazing. They're baked goods are pretty good too.😃

Google
A mean iced latte that accompanied my beach walk. Staff is super friendly. And outdoor space is utterly charming. Only downside is there’s no seating inside.

Google
This place is close by our airbnb in SF. The matcha and coffee latte were creamy, the foam and sweetness was at the perfect level. They have a little backyard with a few seats for everyone to hang out. The receptionist lady was nice but a bit distracted when we were there to order. She kept talking to the other customer and kinda ignored us. Anyway, I gave 5 stars for the drinks.

Yelp
Small corner coffee shop with some bench seating inside and more seating outside. Coffee was good, music was good, staff seemed friendly and lively.

Yelp
Friendly service. The coffee is great. I'm not a fan of the plover though. I decided to venture out to try a matcha latte. It was a bit sweet so I waited a while for the ice to dilute it! There was also little to no matcha flavor..

Yelp
Andytown Coffee Roasters is a wonderful place to grab a drink! The service is usually pleasant and friendly, which makes each visit a treat. I recommend their matcha or the seasonal pumpkin spice latte--both are fantastic options. Recently, I tried their matcha plover, and while I'm usually not a fan of soda water, this drink was a game-changer. The mixture of matcha with lightly sweetened soda water topped with their house-made whipped cream was absolutely delicious and refreshing. It's unique & worth trying! You can also opt for the espresso version. Definitely a great place to stop by for quality drinks and has the whole aesthetic coffee shop vibe going on.

Yelp
I tried the new Minty Mocha two days in a row. The first time I got it iced. 2/10 awful just tasted like a regular iced latte for $8.50, but I figured it might taste better hot and that could have been my mistake getting it iced. This time I got it hot & it was amazing 10/10. The flavor & richness of the drink. Definitely do not get it iced. But $8.50 with almond milk is crazy. $17 for 2 very overpriced but good!

Yelp
One of my favorite coffee spots to date in the Bay Area. I checked out a new location in Sunset district on a rainy Friday morning. We were quickly greeted by staff and welcomed in by the warm ambiance and decor. I like how we were able to see the coffee bean preparation in the back of the store, which added a historical and museum-like touch to the store. My companions both ordered the Original Bird. They thoroughly enjoyed their drink and thought the combination of soda and cream made a fun drink. 5/5 from both of them. My latte was delicious and perfectly sweetened by the syrup! I have a preference for not-to-sweet drinks, so I found it to my liking. It was also well balanced with the creamy oat milk . 5/5 as well. Overall a nice Andytown location with cute decorations! Once again not disappointed.

Yelp
Walk on the beach until you're too cold to think. Then follow the coffee smell into Andytown Coffee Roasters. I can't do caffeine, so I got a large Mrs. Rooiboson almond milk latte. Rooibos makes a great hot drink; the Herb gives not a kick, but a delightful sparkle. Combined with freshly steamed almond milk and now you have a big mug of warming joy to sip. Andytown gives you a discount when you remember to bring your own mug. Thoughtful seating is available in front and in back!

Yelp
Favorite coffee shop in the world. Quality espresso, consistent flavor, and the pastries are tasty too. The best!! My go to is the ice latte sweetened and the snowy plover!

Yelp
Kinda better in the memory of this place isn't one of the better locations in the city. They have two outdoor seating options and a tiny bench for indoor. This is perfect for people wanting to hang out over coffee (beach is super close though). Service was prompt.. I mean it's coffee right? Ordered the usual snowy plover, which wasn't as good as how I remembered it. Still the only drink I've tried and will continue to recommend at Andytown.
google avatar

Yelp
Drove out of our way to come get the breakfast sandwich. Stood in a long line to get to the ordering station. Then they say they're out of eggs. Coulda put a sign in the window.. for better customer service.

Yelp
Given a bag of Andytown "Shore Leave Hook" coffee beans. Andytown Coffee is Deeeelicious! Have been looking for a satisfying flavor and quality roast for years. Found it! Shore Leave Hook" blend coffee has me "'hooked'!"

Yelp
This coffee shop is my new current hyper fixation. I'm really liked the iced mocha. I have yet to try their other drinks on the menu, but love this place so far!

Yelp
I love Andytown, especially this location! This little spot is just a couple blocks from the beach and totally adorable. It's compact, has a nice little patio in the back (basically benches that line the edges of the small rectangular patio- no frills, but cozy if you can snag a seat), and a nice little parklet out front. There's nothing better than going for a run by the beach and then cooling off with a cold brew from Andytown. While you can't bring your dog inside, it's easy to tie 'em up at the parklet while you grab your drink. There's also always free dog treats to grab! I think dogs may (?) be allowed in the back patio, but I'm not sure. The staff is always so nice! Ok, now onto more general things that apply to all Andytown locations: -best cold brew in the city -LOVE the cornbread peach muffin!!! -great breakfast sandwich (actually, I'm not sure if all locations have this, but they do at this location) -always the cutest merch. Just take all my money pls Andytown is an SF institution and is def worth a visit.

Yelp
A bit pricey but coffee is good. I especially like their matcha plover which I didn't think would be my jam. I find that the baristas at this location are nicer than the ones at the location up the street... maybe it's because they're closer to the beach. :) 4 stars because I can't justify $7 on a matcha made with water being that expensive but I sure do like it

Yelp
My husband brought me a sweetened iced latte to go while I slept in. The ice was melted and the drink settled by the time it got to me but letmetellyou my first sip was still some of the best coffee I ever had. I typically like very sweet coffee drinks and this wasn't that at all. 10/10 I highly recommend. I can't say anything about the service or the ambiance but I fasho want some of that coffee again!!

Yelp
What is this feeling? Loathing, loathing, unadulterated loathing... This review is for the entire Andytown brand, not the specific location. I've been around Andytown the past few years as I grew up in SF and now live in LA. Andytown has got a pacific northwest feel to it and I can't stand their coffee. The short of it is that each time I visit SF and have Andytown I am reminded that 3rd wave coffee still hasn't arrived in SF. Their Wind and Sea coffee is literally the worst coffee you could drink. I'd honestly rather have a Starbucks Americano to avoid it. Most of their employees hate it too but the owners could care less. On the bean side, how do you get away with $13-15 bags at 8oz? If it was phenomenal maybe but it's not. Just blends and a few single origins. Not even a free cup of coffee with a bag. Even if... It's, oh you guessed it, Wind and Sea. I always bring my own beans from LA so I can avoid this place but my car broke down and we got stuck for an extra day. Ill definitely look for other coffee shops for beans and avoid this gouging wannabe.

Yelp
The line was super long but it was worth the wait! My husband got drip coffee (which was your classic good coffee) and I got the matcha plover which was super interesting (had soda water and whipped cream). The soda bread with fresh butter was delicious (basic but done very well). We took our coffees and enjoyed a beautiful walk to ocean beach.

Yelp
Small spot but quick friendly service and great tasting drinks. Came in on a Friday afternoon - a few regulars came in and I heard the staff say they'd make their "usual." You know the coffee is good when you've got loyal customers. Iced cappuccino with oat milk - good. $1.00 extra for oat milk sub. Pumpkin spice plover (seasonal) - delicious spin on their popular snow plover. Perfectly spicy and topped with their delicious cream. 10/10 recommend if you're visiting during the fall season.

Yelp
Met up w/ a friend at his local favorite shop and to my surprise, it's now my favorite. The store is small w/ just a subtle "A" sign hanging out front...kinda easy to miss if you're just driving by, but that's no problem w/ me. Interior design is sleek, clean, and modern. We went on a Saturday, close to 4pm and it wasn't busy inside/outside. TBH, most ppl wait outside since there's a shaded cabana/seating area and inside is mainly to order. Staff are nice and friendly. I got the Snowy Plover and I thought it was good. Not a strong flavor; however, the aftertaste of the soda water is something I'm still getting used to. Nothing bad about it but it's definitely something new to me. Tons of street parking and it's in the city, so expect tk walk. It's also literally 2 blocks away from Ocean Beach so if you have dogs w/ you, it's a great place to go afterwards! If not that, there's Fort Funston that's nearby which I highly recommend also (6-10 min drive).

Yelp
One of my new, go-to coffee shops in the area. I came in on a sleepy thursday morning looking for some smooth coffee. I let the team know that this was my first time here, that I was into iced coffees, and they quickly recommended the iced brown-sugar latte with oat milk. This was possibly the smoothest latte I had ever had, and made me a firm fan of Andytown Coffee Roasters! Thanks for the great experience!

Yelp
You can't go wrong with a Snowy Plover. I came here with a friend to get some reading done to disconnect and I don't think I got anything done. It was pretty noisy and seating was limited. Although seating was limited, I did really like the fact that they has "tech free" nooks which I feel like really leveled the playing field. I got the matcha snowy plover and my friend got the matcha snowy plover with a double shot. Service was quick and the staff were friendly.

Yelp
I have to say these people were super friendly and nice. I like the ambiance of the place , it's a nice local coffee shop feeling where you can get your coffee to go and stroll near the beach. The only reason I took one star off was the price of the cold brew , it's $5 and it was alright , didn't taste strong enough for me. I ordered a hot chocolate which was nice and fancy. Not too sweet and the cream was a nice touch
google avatar

Yelp
Went for a walk on the beach and needed some coffee, a friend recommended this place and I thought let's check it out. I was curious about their signature drink as I had never had coffee with sparkling water, so I ordered the Snowy Plover-The Original Bird. I was pleasantly surprised as I liked it. It tasted like an Italian soda with coffee and sweet cream, a combo I didn't think I needed but loved. There were a ton of people outside waiting for their drinks but service was fast and very friendly.

Yelp
A big fan of an Andytown opening near Ocean Beach. Great spot for food coffee and walking down Great Highway. Interior is nice as well. They have seating in the back open if you wanted to sit and catchup with a friend. Cute stickers, merch and coffee beans (single origin and mix) on sale. I purchased a bag for ~$14.00 and grind on the spot. The Original Bird $6.50 is reminds me of a root beer float but make it coffee. It's not overly sweet and light and easy to drink. Perfect for a hot day. Matcha latte was alright. It was not grassy but get abit overpowered by the milk. One nitpick is the wait time. The long que is honestly mostly due to how long it takes to order and get your drink. One time it was due to low staffing which I understand. But I've waited quite abit on multiple visits. Otherwise a gem in the area!

Yelp
Seaside coffee shop with good selection of drinks. The drink did take forever to make though a service was a bit slow.

Yelp
Lovely spot, nice minimalist design, good place for me and the kids to rest after a few hours at the beach. We walked in barefoot (our shoes had gotten wet) and that was no issue. Lovely back patio with plenty of bench space and a couple small tables. Not busy on a Saturday around 2 or 3pm. 1 person ahead of us ordering. I got: Apple & Ginger Scone - 3.5 stars. Good flavor, a tad dry. Matcha Latte - 4 stars. Thick and tasty. Wish I'd realized they're famous for their Plover drinks! Saw someone else get it and it looked really good.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for the first time ever and really enjoyed it! The vibe is so chill and love the layout. So close to the beach too! You can grab your cup and head over to the sand. The staff was great! Very knowledgeable. I wish I would've gotten the name of the person who helped me. He was super nice. I got this salted chocolate chip cookie which was fire. The coffee itself is also great. Smooth and great tasting notes. I was visiting from out of town so brought some bags of beans home with me. I made an Americano with my machine and it tasted delicious. I'll definitely come back. I wonder of they ship their beans to southern California... That'd be awesome.

Yelp
Went to Andytown for the first time today and I did not have a good experience. I asked if they had a certain sweet coffee and was told they did not carry it. That was completely fine with me, and I ordered a matcha latte instead. After ordering, one of the baristas made a snarky comment about my question. These opinions about which coffee is "real" or not should stay in one's head. Poking fun at a customer's taste is unnecessary and unhelpful. It is important to understand that everyone's taste is valid and nobody should be shamed or judged for liking something. Don't waste your time here. Go to Avenues right across the street!

Yelp
3.5 STARS Andytown is the quintessential SF hipster coffee shop. Hello, $7 matcha and coffee flavored sparkling water aka Plover: https://bit.ly/3Sgpzw7! With eco-friendly [paper] straw that disintegrated halfway through... Eight years late on the Plover but I'm just not getting the hype (I know, I'm in the tiny minority). I love matcha and I love sparkling water but the combo was not my jam. I thought it was just my matcha plover so I had a tiny sip of the coffee plover and it was extremely bitter (regular sweetness). Love the housemade whipped cream though...it was like a creamy, subtly sweet cloud. Even though my straw broke, I removed the lid and licked every ice cube covered in the whipped cream. Like a weirdo. The best part of the visit? Complimentary Puppuccinos: https://bit.ly/3bk7Xin and https://bit.ly/3PXdwCw! Other Notes: * Takeout only. No seating. * Estimated pick-up time for online orders is not accurate. Our order was ready 15 minutes early which I appreciate. However, I received a text 30 minutes after picking up my order, that it was ready. Good thing I arrived early and didn't rely on the text notification. * Dogs are not allowed inside the shop so bring someone who can watch your dog while you get a puppuccino.
google avatar

Yelp
Love Andytown...one of the best coffee shops in SF. The taravel location is much better than the coffee truck on Noriega. Coffee is great and the breakfast sandwich is not to be missed. It comes with a runny egg and not the typical egg patty in most breakfast sandwiches. Location is a bit far away otherwise I would be coming here all the time.

Yelp
===TL;DR=== - the original bird snowy plover ===TMI=== Another day another Andytown location. If you want to temporarily escape from the city life and find a hole in the wall to unplug, this location is the right fit for you (and me). Upfront, they're near the beach. Inside however, they have a small open space patio in the back where you can unwind and just simply enjoy your time there. Can come here to be unbothered and enjoy a classic snowy plover. Chill but friendly staff, get your drink of choice in no time. They have restroom available, very cool door lock. Parking isn't bad, quieter neighborhood. Got to find more hole in the wall places in the city. P.S. Many goodies on their shelf + dog treat available!

Yelp
"One minute born, one minute doomed, One minute up, one minute down." - The Velvet Underground The Outer Sunset is a throwback part of the city where people on the street still say "good morning". You will see vintage cars, vespas, and the occasional VW van with Scooby-Doo vibes puttering around. One early morning I was jonesing for good coffee while chatting with my bestie when she suggested Andytown Coffee Roasters in the Outer Sunset! I'm a supporter of local biz, so yea, baby! Andy's it is! Andytown Coffee Roasters is a true Independent Coffee Shop. Industrial design with Grandma's Kitchen influence is what separates Andy's from the crowd. Upon my arrival I am greeted by a line of five early birds. It gives me time to peruse the menu on Yelp and the menu board as I reach the door. I decided on Espresso Con Panna (double shot) and a Strawberry Corn Muffin (gluten-free). The Baristas were all very kind and chill. No worries, bruh, crowd. I chose the Espresso Con Panna because it's rarely seen around town, however I loved it when I strolled Europe! After a short few minutes it's ready! I decide to enjoy my goods at the parklet just out front. Ohh my! It was a perfect combination to start my morning. Strawberry Corn Muffin moist and tasty. Just knowing that Andy's bakes their own goods makes it that much more special! Expresso Con Panna (double shot) really hit the spot! So smooth! In the end, I recommend Andytown Coffee Roasters to anyone looking for a quality cup! Andy's has Tea and other drinks as well. A woman owned company near the beach - totally groovy! I'll return hopefully w/ my bestie and her need for feed and oat... Peace

Yelp
Everyone talks about the drinks here, but while it's still around, try Andytown's seasonal version of avocado toast. It is obscenely expensive ($13ish) but it's such a unique take on the dish that I'm glad I tried it.

Yelp
Nothing more annoying than driving across town for your breakfast sandwich waiting patiently in line, arriving at the counter to order at 1:59, and being told the kitchen closes at 2. I was calm about it albeit annoyed, but the best part about it was your staff laughing and making a joke about turning ppl away, as I exited.

Yelp
Great Sweet Lattes and cookies!! Employee remembered my order super friendly good vibe! Also pretty cool different breakfast sandwich

Yelp
Andytown Coffee Roasters on Taraval is an amazing option in SF with an expansive menu. The matcha lattes are top-notch, the location is less busy than the one on Lawton, staff are friendly and efficient, and there are COVID-19 precautions. Additionally, there is free parking in the neighborhood and various forms of payment are taken. However, hours are limited and prices can be on the costly side. See below for more information: Amazing Coffee Shop in SF with Expansive Menu: San Francisco has a plethora of coffee options. Yet, Andytown is one of the best offering an amazing selection of coffee as well as baked goods. The coffee options include drip, snowy plowers (matcha & the original bird), espressos, hot coffee and soda bread. Top-Notch Match Lattes: In a city with an array of choice, the best matcha latte (iced and hot) goes to Andytown. The drink is an amalgamation of grassy, nutty, bitter, and not too sweet. Each sip is a delight and chef's kiss. Less Busy than Lawton Location: Taraval Andytown is my go-to of the three locations. A big factor this is my favorite location is that it is less busy than the one on Lawton. Friendly, Efficient Staff: Residing in a city like San Francisco or New York, most people, including myself, go to places for the food and/or drinks rather than the service. Yet, it is always a pleasant welcome when staff are friendly, as they are at Andytown. Additionally, employees here are so efficient with moving the line and making orders. The longest wait I have had has been five minutes to place and get my order, so I am able to be in and out quickly. COVID-19 Precautions: Employees and customers wear face masks. As of February 2022, two customers are allowed in store and then people wait for their orders outside until ready. You can also pre-order online and do pick-up. If opting for the latter, the orders are placed on a table inside the shop. Free Neighborhood Parking: I have gone at different hours on various days and have never had to walk more than one block. There is free perpendicular parking on the street of Andytown, Taraval. Additionally, there is free parallel parking in all of the surrounding streets. Various Payment Forms: Andytown accepts Apple Pay, cash, and card payments. However, contactless payment is preferred. Limited Hours: Taraval Andytown hours are from 8AM-3PM everyday. These hours differ from the Lawton location, which opens earlier at 7AM and closes later at 5PM. Prices on Costly Side: High-quality drinks come at a cost. Drinks range from $3.5-$6. Milk substitutions are available at an additional cost of $.75. A $.5 discount is given for bringing in your mug.

Yelp
Great coffee. Good breakfast sandwich. Lousy manager who communicates poorly and is not customer focused. Yelled at me and other customer for trying to go to the back yard - without any explanation as to why when the rest of our party had already gone to the back yard. Apparently, she did not want my dog in the back yard, but rather than saying that - she told me I was not allowed there. Would have been fine to tell me no dogs allowed in the back yard - but rather than using her words and explaining her self she decided to yell and act like I was an unwelcome criminal. Absolutely no people skills or communication skills...too bad as the coffee is really good.

Yelp
My matcha latte got lost in the abyss on a busy Sunday morning. So while waiting i was people watching. A homeless gentleman came in, he must be a "regular" they gave him some drip coffee and a cookie. For nothing more than a smile, and many thank you's. It was a wonderful moment. After waiting about 15 20 minutes, i asked about my latte. They immediately made it and offered me 2 free drinks for next time. Being from out of town, i declined and thanked him. He then grabbed me a cookie, for my patience. They definitely deserve all the praise!

Yelp
Have gone to this Andytown location several times now. It's a cute small spot with ample parking. The staff is really nice and kind and I've never had a bad experience here. Not the biggest coffee fan, and as I always get a simple latte, I decided to order their Snowy Plover. Coffee with sparking water doesn't sound like a great combination, but I can confirm it is! Next time I come back here, I'll def be getting this again! Also - their cheddar jalapeño scones are great!

Yelp
I tried this place for the first time today, and their matcha latte was great! A bit sweet but the matcha flavor really came through. I got it with almond milk, but it was still creamy.

Yelp
$5 for a lukewarm overly sweet lyons au lait tea. Service was slow, over 30 min waiting in line and then waiting for the drinks. Not a place I would come back to but glad I checked it out to cross it off my list.

Yelp
I visited this location around lunch time on a weekday. It was a quiet, rare sunny day at Ocean Beach. Street parking was fortunately easy (we found a spot right across the street), but I can imagine it being much more difficult on a weekend. The store front is quite narrow so it does appear small with no seating, but there is actually a patio in the back. There was no wait and the service was very prompt. I had a plain black drip coffee and it was pleasantly tasty as expected from a coffee roaster. I typically do not get flavored coffee drinks, but I do recommend Andytown as a place to get good coffee! I'm not sure what beans were used for the drip that day but I have purchased the beans and have enjoyed the Windy & Sea blend. It has a light acid flavor but not too tart. I would definitely return just for cup of black coffee to go, but hopefully next time I can stay to do some work!

Yelp
This place is close by our airbnb in SF. The matcha and coffee latte were creamy, the foam and sweetness was at the perfect level. They have a little backyard with a few seats for everyone to hang out. The receptionist lady was nice but a bit distracted when we were there to order. She kept talking to the other customer and kinda ignored us. Anyway, I gave 5 stars for the drinks.

Yelp
Moving from Diamond Hts/Upper Noe to the Outer Sunset had me stressed about replacing all my favorite places. I didn't think I would find a good substitute for Noe Cafe but Andytown has quickly become a weekly staple. Their iced oat milk latte and iced oat milk matcha are always perfectly made. Their breakfast sandwich is SO decadent and delicious- buttery toasted pain de mie, soft egg, cheese, bacon, and ham. I tried the matcha plover once but wasn't a huge fan - my husband enjoyed the Original Bird. Parking is definitely a challenge in the area and the service is typically great. I forgot my mask once, apologized about that, and a barista shrugged and said to me, "We all make choices we have to live with everyday." ... What? LOL

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday morning to grab a coffee on our way to Pacifica. I got an almond latte (a little bitter for my taste) and the corn jalapeño muffin (yum! and it had the appropriate level of kick to it!). While we waited in line, by which I mean that there was one person ahead of us, said gentleman recommended trying the soda bread with seasonal spread and tomato. So my friend ordered it and wow! That was amazing, and I'm not even a tomato fan. I would definitely say that if you're in a rush, I'd plan ahead and/or skip, since it took somewhere around 15-20 minutes to get through the "line" and get the soda bread (latte took 5-8 minutes). But if you're not in a hurry, this is definitely a great stop!

Yelp
Andytown used to be a premier place to get matcha since places tend to be chalky or not mixed well or just use green tea, and I thought they understood the value of customer service and represented the Sunset well. I've had espresso and coffee all over and have about 2-3 cups a day, so I thought I'd give them a try. However recently I tried their espresso and for some reason I got a harsh headache after trying it and thought maybe it's a one off. I've tried every Andytown and it's bad across the board, and the customer service staff basically treated me like I'm crazy and asked if it's because I drink coffee, maybe next time they'll ask if I breathe too? Even though the correlation is only between the Andytown's, so what do I know, but I guess that wasn't worth a refund or remake. I wouldn't waste your time or money when there's plenty of other spots in SF

Yelp
I was looking for something new to try as far as drinks which led me to Andytown. I ordered the Matcha Plover and it was rather unique for matcha. The Matcha Plover tasted like an Italian soda with matcha flavoring topped with whipped cream. The space at Andytown was pick up only with no seating. It looked like a hole in a wall next to Brothers Pizza. I will have to comeback and try their other drinks.

Yelp
It's been a while since I've been here. I ordered an espresso with an extra shot - it's a quadruple since their basic size is a double. It took longer than I was expecting to get my coffee, but I know that we are going through a time when businesses are understaffed. I'll give them that. It is, as I remember, a medium-roasted espresso. I prefer dark roasts but it's nice to change things up once in a while. The one advantage to a lighter roast is that it has more caffeine. I usually surf at Taraval, so I will probably be back one day.

Yelp
Small cafe with outdoor seating in the back and some seats infront of the patio. Staff is nice but not really a big space. Got the snowy plover and loved it. A tad steep price tag for the drink but i cannot replicate it at home. It used to be $4 pre pandemic and it now $6 lol RIP. Good balance of creamy espresso with sparkling water/tonic. Nice treat every once in awhile. Parking is easy along the residential areas.
