NYC’s Best Restaurants and Bars for Taco Tuesday | Eater

"A good night in Tribeca (or Hell’s Kitchen, there are two locations) ends with a margarita at Añejo’s bar or sidewalk cafe, made with just the right proportions of citrus, Cointreau, tequila, and a dash of agave for subtle sweetness. Those looking for a riff on the traditional lime-based drink can also indulge in the spicier version shaken with Tapatio, reposado, grenadine, fresh lime, and spiced salt on the rim — not to outshine an order of short rib tacos with chipotle crema." - Vox Creative

After all, the restaurant stocks an impressive selection of tequilas, and mezcals, alongside inventive Mexican cuisine. LONG hair found in our food. Steak was undercooked with very over done eggs on top. Manager Benny tried to help but we felt harassed as he kept coming to our table to correct the multiple mistakes. More focused on avoiding a bad review than fixing our food. The check was wrong four times and half way through our meal we lost our appetite. The shrimp and grits were decent (apart from the hair) but the jalapeño biscuit felt reheated as it was still very hard. Felt not too busy but service was still very very slow. French toast was awesome and that’s the only reason it’s not 1 star for food.

Añejo Tribeca is a fantastic spot for great food, drinks, and atmosphere. The margaritas are top-notch—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The tacos are a must-try, especially the short rib and crispy fish. The service is friendly and attentive, even when the place is busy. The ambiance is lively yet cozy, making it a great spot for date night or a casual hangout with friends. Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality Mexican food in Tribeca!

Google
The Al pastor tacos were way too wet, and didn’t have the classic char on the chicken you’d expect from a classic Al pastor (probably why they list it in quotes). Fish tacos were better, and the pork tostadas were my favorite. Overall, it was a serviceable meal

Came here on Tuesday night at 6:30 did not need a reservation. We sat outside with our two dogs. They were very accommodating and brought water for the dogs. The manager came over offered us free chips and salsa. Everything we ordered was fantastic. The cocktails are delicious and the prices are good. While it is not cheap, it is not ridiculously priced and the portions are big. We got fundido and ceviche as well as pollo adobado and carne arechero and margaritas. Absolutely loved everything.

We went to Añejo in Tribeca and everything was great! Every dish we tried was better than the next. The margaritas were also very good. My bf who doesn’t really care for margaritas was impressed. My favorite dishes were the pork belly tostadas, the ribeye fajitas, and the cheesecake. This place is a must visit! We are already thinking about going back lol

Google
We stopped here for dinner since it's near our hotel. I'm so glad we did because they have incredible food & drinks. The guacamole, al pastor tacos & margaritas are very good. They also offer flights on tequila and mezcal, I recommend trying one of those.

Google
Tried a bunch of different tacos. They were good, not exactly memorable but still a good meal. The draft beer was really smooth.

We went there for lunch after our granddaughter's graduation. Food was great and their drinks were excellent.

Yelp
Came for a tasting with a friend of mine and the experience was amazing! I've visited their Philly location and so I already knew what type of vibe to expect and boy did they deliver. It was around lunchtime so it wasn't jammed packed however there were a few to go orders placed, a family casually celebrating a wedding and a group of tourists looking to take a break from the heat. To summarize, we had the chicken quesadilla, the tostadas, veggie tacos (not my fave because of the mushrooms but was still very flavorful), shrimp empanadas, the salsa quattro with chips and guac, a margarita flight, some octopus and finished off with the tequila flan. Everything was delicious and well plated so I literally can't wait to come back. Not to mention Cathrine the manager being super accommodating and knowledgeable and over all such good vibes!

Yelp
I got the Tuna Ceviche, Shrimp Empanadas and the Huevos Rancheros with my boyfriend. The dishes were all flavorful and delicious. The ceviche was nice and refreshing. The empanadas were really cheesy and flaky and paired well with the crema. All the food was great if not on the smaller portion size. The plan was a little crowded where there's not a lot of space to walk and it was really noisy but a fun atmosphere.

Yelp
I had a really lovely experience today at Anejo and I'll certainly be back! They have a lunch special for $16 which I think is a great bang for your buck, as the portion is the perfect lunchtime meal. The Salsa Quattro is a free app you can get for checking in on yelp -- what an awesome idea to offer it!! It started our meal off on the right foot. The chips were perfectly crunchy and salted and tasted homemade, and the variety of salsas were delish. We all got the lunch special, with my two friends getting the fish tacos (which come with rice and beans and salsas) and I got the braised beef burrito. Let me just say: YUM! Everything was flavorful, well balanced, and filling. The braised beef/barbacoa vibe was tender and juicy and they put a hefty portion of it in the burrito. I'd highly recommend trying it. For dessert we tried the flan which was super creamy and not too sweet. We asked and apparently it's homemade!! I liked the little sprinkle of cotija cheese on top, but kinda wish it came on the side instead of on top, because some folks at the table liked it more than others. Otherwise, solid dessert option. The ambiance is gorgeous and super chic. The service is kind, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu and its offerings. The place was packed and I can see why! Overall, I really enjoyed this spot and will return. Yum! Gracias a todos!

Yelp
Came on a Sunday afternoon for drinks with friends and enjoyed the lovely outdoor seating. Service was good and drinks well served. Will be coming back to try the food. We had sangria rose, mezcal margarita, and some beers, all very tasty.

Yelp
The pork belly tostadas stole the show very flavorful and the perfect bite. The drinks were delicious and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Ambiance was great pretty establishment with Spanish music. Worth the visit.

Yelp
Stoped by there for a quick bite of food in the mid day today on Sunday. The place is cute, has its charm. The dishes I ordered were cooked and served very good. But loud beat of music and style of songs wasn't really matching time of the day in this place. I would definitely enjoy this place more with more relaxing sounds.

Yelp
Service was great as well as the food and vibes. We split a few items plus chips/guac and a pitcher of the cucuy margaritas. Would definitely go back!

Yelp
FOOD - p good. we got the bottomless brunch french toast - came. unlimited w the bottomless brunch. soo good, fruits were fresh and bread didn't taste old or too heavy guac - v quality, can tell it's not just store bought morning tacos - tbh this is the only thing that looks appealing on the menu of options we had. it was ok, nothing special, also there were only two (which was enough food for me personally, but with the price I thought there'd be 3) PRICE - $55 for bottomless brunch and mimosas, not a terrible price SERVICE - our waitress was super nice and fun to chat with, and she also had to deal with our super drunk and loud friend so super props to her. also we went overtime but they let us finish our drinks at the bar AMBIANCE - normal

Yelp
This place was recommended, and it was totally worth the visit :) Not sure if I would make a point to go back there though. We went on a Sunday night so it was not crushed with people thankfully. Our server was phenomenal and really made the experience for me! I am sorry I don't remember his name because he was awesome :) Food-wise : the Tacos were good but pretty weak on flavor. Salsas and guac were just alright. The Elote dish recommended by the server was amazing tho, and the Margarita flight was absolutely delicious! A bit pricey for Latin grub, but we were in Tribeca. I think I enjoyed the vibe and company more than the food though. The windowed walls, the indoor murals, and the downstairs hallway were all awesome

Yelp
Food was delicious. Pork belly is a must. Service was great. Just a note to not come over too many times trying to take peoples plate when they're still talking and working on their meal. That got kinda annoying but we appreciate the attention. Ambiance was wonderful with outdoor seating on a sunny day; option for umbrella if needed. Manager stopped by our table which was much appreciated. respect

Yelp
We were a party of 12 and arrived a few mins early but they sat us right away! Everyone was so welcoming and super attentive! Host , waiters , bartenders and the manager checked on us throughout our time. The food was really good and drinks were constantly refilled especially for the bottomless brunch portion! They even had a live DJ and he kept the vibes all the way up! Thanks so much for hosting our brunch on a windy Saturday

Yelp
I came to Anejo Tribeca for a Happy Hour event after work. I got there a couple of minutes before 6, and our waiter was nice to still honor the happy hour pricing for me. We sat outside in their covered area, which was comfortable but they needed to have music playing to match the vibe inside. The happy hour menu boasts a good variety of margaritas and cocktails. I ordered the Blanco Margarita, which was well-made and smooth. enjoyed it. The Carnitas Fries were spectacular! I'm a huge fan of yucca fries, but when you add pork shoulder, lime aioli, and pickled onions - phenomenal! The flavor of the pork and the crispness of the fries were in sync with every bite. The tostada came with pork al pastor, guacamole, pickled onions, and pineapple on blue corn tortillas. It was my first time seeing a tostada on a blue corn tortilla. The pork was the best part of the dish. Even though they were small pieces, the seasoning and tenderness came through perfectly. I would recommend coming back here, but to sit inside to get the whole experience.

Yelp
If you're ever mad about the general quality of Mexican food in NYC, it helps to understand the location the cuisine occupies within the constellation of restaurants in this city. For whatever reason, Mexican restaurants here are a utility food option, like the dollar slice or takeout sushi. It's uncomplicated comfort food to New Yorkers -- though the cuisine is worthy and capable of so much more -- available in every neighborhood and serving last-minute takeout or quick Friday date nights, but rarely worth a pilgrimage. So what's the neighborhood Mexican spot like in a zip code whose median income tops $150,000? How much does the privilege of wealth amp up an ordinary experience? Is this Chipotle for rich people? Añejo Tribeca ends at three stars for me, the product of some really fabulous hits, and some inexcusable misses. Hits: giant windows and an airy space that somehow wasn't too loud. Quick, friendly service. Crispy cauliflower tacos I'm still thinking about a week later, properly fried and then glazed with a sweet pineapple sauce and nestled in pea shoots. Well-seasoned rice and beans with a luxurious squirt of chipotle mayo (maybe?) on top. An apple cheesecake dessert special that ranks in my top three cheesecakes ever on this earth. Misses: a quartet of salsas devoid of taste or spice paired with thoroughly ordinary guacamole for $22. The most forgettable margarita-adjacent cocktails I've had anywhere. The chutzpah of charging $15 for two unaccompanied tacos, even if they were amazing. A loud congregation of finance bros and broettes shouting the last soggy hurrahs of their brunch at 5 pm. (OK I can't blame Añejo for that last one.) Ultimately, if I were rich enough to live here and I ordered those cauliflower tacos and that cheesecake on a rainy Friday, I'd congratulate myself on having made it in life. But as a destination for the other half of us to seek out, I'd steer elsewhere.

Yelp
Ambience- wise, it's nice. Taste- wise decent... service is great, fast and very efficient. But knowing that I could get awesome tacos for a fraction of the price is what kills it for me. We had the lamb barbaco tacos.. the Taste was all there.. they were good. The bacon habanero guacamole was eh... it was just okay..I love guacamole, and I didn't like this much.. part of the issue for me was that they had for tortilla cops with it, and those were not good. In fact all the tortillas were flour... The mushroom fundido was fine... not as much truffle oil as is like, but the mushrooms were very good, the cheese was okay.. the cocktails were very good. Those I would recommend. It's a nice, typically priced Tribeca restaurant...

Yelp
Very nice place to go for lunch, dinner or catching up with friends. Rustic style feel with outdoor seating. And a speakeasy in the basement. Also 2 bathrooms. Nice decor and artwork. Nice staff. Steps from the station. I came for an event hosted by the hungry post it was a dinner and cocktail tasting, which I must say was very nice. We sat in the speakeasy and shared a table with some lovely ladies. Appetizer was chips with guacamole and four different dipping sauces, which were all good; guacamole was tasty as well. The first drink was the "El hungry post," with pineapple, which was good. Second was the "Neat pour," which was a shot, and I must say very strong as it was Don Julio repesado. The second tasting served was Cherizo and potatoes flauta; i didn't really taste much chorizo, but it wasn't bad. Third tasting: shrimp empanadas, and they were good but not too much shrimp. I added a little spiced orange sauce, and it brought out the flavor. Fourth tasting: Chicken tacos were good. The crispy cauliflower tacos took it home with that pineapple-arbol glaze it was very flavorful, and cauliflower was crispy; really good. Crispy fish tacos were ok, a little bland. The desert was tasty. All of the drinks were made using Don Julio Primavera, and they were all good. It's very smooth and can mix well. It's not too harsh but very strong. My friends and I enjoyed ourselves, and they even gave us tote bags to take home. I would go back to try the menu.

Yelp
A great Mexican restaurant in tribeca! Food: We had a preset menu that included 4 courses! We started off with chips and guac and salsa. I loved the salsa and all the guac! We had some small plates/ apps which included the wild mushroom quesadilla, ceviche, and market salad! The mushroom quesadilla was so good, I wish they came out with more! I also loved the ceviche! For the main meal, we had shrimp tacos, corn, rice and beans which were also so good and very flavorful! The shrimp tacos were so well made and seasoned! For dessert we got cakes, flans, and churros which were all so incredible! A very indulgent and delicious meal! Drinks: we got tequila flights to try some of the different types of tequila, which were very strong! The margs were amazing! Service: service was great but I felt the meal was very oddly paced! They loaded us up on chips and guac instead of some of the main meals whixh made it hard to take it all in! There was too much happening on the table and despite them being attentive, I just think they should have been more intentional about where they placed some items Ambience: I loved the vibe of this restaurant! There was outdoor and indoor space and it had a very upscale vibe to it!

Yelp
Wow!! Food was amazing definitely would recommend, food was awesome!!The arrachera plate , the tacos either chicken or birria were good and chicken empanadas. Coming from LA and knowing Mexican food this was ..

Yelp
Not a food review but a suggestion. Online ordering thru grubhub doesn't open until 12 and delivery times begin at 1. I was planning on ordering today but given my time to eat lunch was 12-1 I did not. There are so many businesses nearby - if you are going to offset delivery why not allow pre orders and a bit earlier than 1pm?
google avatar

Yelp
This is a Mexican cantina that has your standard Mexican food and drink options. One thing to note on the menu, their mezcal/tequila flights. The food is pretty expensive so expect to pay $23 for 3 tacos before tax and tip. Cocktails are priced fairly with about $17, no draft beer optional unfortunately. They have a yelp offer when you check in that gives you a free salsa quartro a $15 value which is

Yelp
Great food and the service was spectacular! Very fun vibe in the restaurant. I was alone so I sat at the bar and met some very nice people. Will def return.

Yelp
Our food was great and so was Allan! He was very attentive, helpful, and friendly. Definitely coming back, a1 customer service!

Yelp
Oooof this place did not miss! Amazing food full of flavor and super friendly service. They even had lunch deal going on where you got chips and guac/salsa, an entree and rice and beans for $16. The marg was so refreshing, I got classic but the rest of my group got spicy and we all loved it. None of that fake sour mix taste, just straight up lime and tequila (my favorite kind of marg). All the food was delicious and fresh but the highlights were definitely the spicy pineapple guac (sweet guac...who would've thought?), the pork belly tostadas (best bite of food ever), empanadas (seafood and chicken were both delish) and the quesabirria tacos (that consommé was LEGIT). Everything was seasoned and garnished so well, they really know what they're doing at this Tribeca gem! Will definitely return to try the dinner menu soon.

Yelp
A great place for happy hour! As a vegetarian, I struggle to find taco places with good meat-free dishes and tacos. Añejo fit the bill! We came in during happy hour, so I can specifically get the nachos... a dish I am an absolute sucker for! They have a lot of great happy hour specials for food and drink. To start off with a bad: I unfortunately did not like their margaritas at all! Which is very unfortunate because Mexican places SHOULD have the best margs-this is the only reason I give 4 and not 5 stars. I'm not sure if it's a sour mix or the tequila they used, but I just had a very artificial and bad taste. Luckily, our waitress was happy to switch them out for two drinks. We liked that are: the sangria and their version of the pornstar martini. We ordered a nice spread of items, all which I recommend: -Nachos: a great size for $8 and only on happy hour! Lots of flavor and I appreciated how they loaded it up with guac. -Crispy Cauliflower Tacos: my favorite thing we tried, loved the sauce and the fact that the cauliflower was beer battered and fried, not grilled. -Mushroom Queso Fundito: second runner up, the queso itself was delicious but loved the flavor and spices on the veggies on top -Yuca Fries: spiced perfectly and that dipping sauce was fab. -Brussels Sprouts (minus the chorizo): nice sweet glaze! Our bill was very reasonable for the amount we ordered, mostly thanks to happy hour! So thankful to have had a lot of vegetarian options here-and yummy ones at that.

Yelp
Reliable spot in Tribeca for lunch. Wanted something light before heading to Aire for a spa day around the corner. They have a great lunch special and the birria tacos hit the spot. Service was alright, no complaints. Place has a fun ambiance and was pretty full on a Monday during lunch.

Yelp
Great location for lunch ! Wonderful service. It was my cousins 30th and they brought her out a surprise flan and sparkles. The food was amazing.

Yelp
We came for the bottomless brunch and had an awesome time! They had a large variety of drinks and we were able to try so many in the span of 90 mins. They had really good deals and the guac and chips was amazing! The staff was super sweet but it was quite challenging to order drinks in the 90 mins since the restaurant was quite busy.

Yelp
So surprisingly I ended up came back here after my horrible first time experience, but I was happy I gave the place a second chance. I was in the neighborhood at an event with friends and we all decided to come here for dinner. We ordered a pitcher to share between the 5 of us, it was enough for us all to get a full glass and about half a glass each after. We got a flavored margarita, very tasty. We shared a Guacamole & Salsa combo. The guacamole was very good and the salsa verde was my favorite salsa out of the three we got. The most flavorful in my personal opinion. For my main I decided to ease back into this place and stick with something easy and went with tacos. I got the fried cauliflower tacos, one of the girls I was with was vegetarian and when asking the waiter about them he mentioned they were amazing so I just had to try it. And honestly they were amazing! Best fried cauliflower I've had in a long time. The pineapple glaze they came with were tangy without being too sweet and the greens on top gave a great freshness to each bite.

Yelp
For one of my close friend's birthday brunch, three of us checked out Anejo TriBeCa since we absolutely enjoyed our meal at the Philly location. We booked our reservations about 1 week in advance. We went for a Sunday mid day brunch and it was the place to be. The music was lively, mimosas were flowing, and people were having a great time with their parties. The food was delicious as the other location, but the tres leches was even better than what I remembered previously in Philly! It was a great time and a perfect brunch with friends!

Yelp
Nice Mexican Restaurant with delicious Mexican dishes, cocktails, wines and more. Nice ambiance and good service. Take advantage of lunch special. It's a deal!

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night for dinner with some friends and we were seated promptly with our reservation. The ambiance of the place is great. It's perfect for catching up with friends while enjoying some Mexican food. I ordered the fish tacos which were pretty good. Just wish there were more because I definitely did not feel full afterwards.

Yelp
What a great spot. Serving up some great food with a large menu, this place has excellent staff and a great vibe. Some great drinks too. I liked my sandwich a lot and you MUST get the corn. It was a great round out to the meal and was super good even on its own! Definitely worth a try if you're in the area especially!
google avatar

Yelp
Great Mexican sit down spot in downtown! Service is good. Food is great. It's definitely nice to have such a well made guacamole. The simple things. I also absolutely loved the chicken empanadas. Would come back for those two. And am now curious to try the shrimp empanada. Didn't try the drinks but seems like they have great margarita options.
google avatar

Alice Z.

Yelp
Service was maybe a little too attentive here. In trying to catch up with a friend, 3 different people came up several times asking if we were good. I got the chicken empanadas appetizer. It came with 3 empanadas. The presentation was pretty with the thinly sliced red pepper and greens on top. The flavors were also quite good and blended well with the sauce. However, for the price ($14) of the dish, I expected at least a slightly bigger portion. You can easily finish this dish in six bites.

Katie S.

Yelp
Had a great experience here this week! The food and drinks were delicious, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We even got some treats for the pup with us - shout out to the manager/owner (I assume that's who he was!). Will definitely be back.

Yelp
I should've write this review long time ago but didn't have the time till today. I made a reservation at the Tribeca location to celebrate my girlfriend birthday who loves Mexican food, but neither the food, nor the drinks, nor the service were to our liking at this place. Firstly, the avocado in the guacamole was not fresh (none of the three in the guacamole trio); The main dishes like the "Carne Arrachera" were ice cold and greasy plus a very small portion for the price. Second, the margaritas were just "meh!" no taste of alcohol and jalapeño in our spicy margaritas. Finally, our server was extremely rude with my girlfriend, myself, and our guests. He pretended not to understand Spanish when spoken to in this language; But he did understand it when he was talking to his colleagues next to our table while he was dancing and checking his phone. I also had to get up from the table on two occasions so he could come and take our orders, not to mention that I had to help clean the table when the main dishes arrived. I didn't want to make the experience more unpleasant for any of us, so when we finished dinner, we simply paid and left. The only point on its favor is that the place is quite spacious and well decorated.

Yelp
We organized a large party (30 people) for a work dinner at Anejo Tribeca. I found the staff easy to work with re: setting up the dinner, and I appreciated how seriously they took my notes about allergies and food restrictions. The family style menu was a hit, and fairly priced in my opinion. Colleagues reported to me that they enjoyed the food and drinks very much, but that service overall was a lacking (for example, took a long time to get drinks, etc.) Overall I was pleased and would come back here for a team dinner.

Yelp
After searching through a variety of options for my birthday dinner, I settled on Anejo Tribeca. I had wanted to try the restaurant for years, and since they accepted my reservation for 8 people without a table minimum or set menu, it was clearly the perfect time to do so. I arrived at the space just before 7 pm on a Wednesday evening and was shocked at how crowded it was. Literally every table and all of the bar stools were taken. Thankfully our assigned table opened up right as our reservation time approached and my friends arrived. We took our seats at the rectangular booth and settled in to make our selections. In terms of a drink, I opted for a Jalapeno Margarita, which included Tanteo Jalapeno, fresh lime, and agave. While I order this type of cocktail often, theirs was a step above the rest, since it was not too sweet nor too sour, but just right. As a group, we ordered the Guacamole Trio for the table. The chips were a bit oily and fried for my liking, but the dips were terrific! The trio included a refreshing traditional variety, a smoky and sweet Chipotle Pineapple one with crumbled cheese, and a zesty Bacon Habanero version with chunks of pork. When it came to my meal, I went with 3 Chicken Al Pastor Tacos, which were super flavorful! The tender, pulled chicken was well-seasoned and topped with pineapple, pickled onions, and a salsa verde. I also got a side dish of Roasted Delicata Squash, which had been coated with chili, lime, and cilantro. I found the squash delicious, but undercooked and slightly hard. It definitely would have benefited from some additional roasting time. Lastly, when my friends ordered their desserts, they sneakily told the server that it was my birthday, so they brought over a large sparkler for me to hold as everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to me. In fact, almost every table in the space seemed to be celebrating something, as there were many sparklers shining around the dining room. The song was accompanied by an order of Churros, which were crispy and coated with a generous amount of cinnamon. They were served with apple caramel, dark chocolate, and raspberry curd dipping sauces. While the food was great and the service was friendly, the staff could have checked in with us more often. I know the dining room was packed, but we could have used more support. Regardless, I was very happy with my selection of Anejo for my birthday meal, and I know it was enjoyed by all in attendance.

Yelp
Me and my date had such a great experience here. The food was amazing and our server Carlos was exceptional. The drinks were also very good, Carlos had some great recommendations for mezcal. Amazing experience over all, will be coming back soon.

Yelp
Food was fantastic. Loved the pork belly tostada!! Great atmosphere. Our server Alan was very helpful, friendly and informative.

Yelp
Loooooved our lunch here!!! Stopped by on a Friday and the interior was not very busy. The ambience inside is bright and nicely decorated with a huge wall of tequilas behind the bar. We did the Siesta Lunch they were offering which allows you to choose tacos, burrito, or a torta and same with rice and beans, etc. We also ordered the salsa sampler and guacamole for the table. The guac was REALLY good, and we liked the variety of salsas. Surprisingly, the chips were not great. For my entree I had the Chicken Al Pastor tacos and shared a side of Yuca Fries. Both were PHENOMENAL. Super fresh. Super flavorful. Nice portion size. We all really enjoyed every bite. And I also had the rose sangria which was really delicious on such a hot day! Would absolutely go back!!

Yelp
Went here for the bottomless brunch with coworkers and they certainly kept the drinks coming. I ordered a breakfast taco (can't remember the name exactly) but wasn't too big of a fan. It wasn't bad or anything , I finished the entire plate but I would've ordered something else. I recommend visiting because majority of my coworkers were satisfied with their meals, plus the esthetic here is pleasing. ENJOY

Yelp
We did the large party brunch that comes family style with bottomless! The food was delicious. My favorite was definitely the Summer Market Salad because of the sesame seeds and the pomegranate! The French Toast felt like a really random item to have on the menu. Maybe a churro toast to keep it somewhat related to the rest of the menu. It was still really good though! Everything was also aesthetically beautiful - if that matters to you! The sangria was delicious and strong (exactly what you want at a bottomless brunch). The waitress for our table was very attentive and made sure that our glasses were not empty. I'd highly recommend for your next brunch!

Yelp
Margarita flight was awesome. Blanco and Anejo were favorites among our group. We came during happy hour, so chips, guac, and salsa were included with our drinks. The crispy chips felt homemade and the salsa (def try the spicy one!) went nicely with the margaritas. Staff was also very nice, they have a 1.5 hour time limit on the high top tables, but let us stay there for an extra half hour as we were still eating and drinking. Recommend the carnitas and cauliflower tacos. I also ordered the shisito peppers, but felt like they were too mushy and overpowered by the cheese sauce.

Yelp
Visited this spot after hitting up Color me Mine with a group of friends. It was a cozy and perfect spot for a night out in Tribeca. Ambience was very chill with cute decorations throughout the restaurant. Our waiter was attentive and service was on point. Everything was good but my fav was the guacamole, salsa and nachos. I def recommend the guacamole- haven't had good guacamole for some time. You could taste the freshness! The salsa variations that came with the nachos were delicious - we almost filled our appetite with that! We also had the yuca fries which was good esp with the sauce. Esquites was okay as I've had better elsewhere; was a bit sweet for my taste even after adding hot sauce. For the main course, we had orders of shrimp tacos, shrimp empanadas and rice and beans. I wished the shrimp empanadas wasn't paste-y; I would've preferred it to be cheesier with whole shrimps vs it being paste-y. Of course, we finished our dinner with some churros.

Yelp
Anejo is a Mexican restaurant with two locations in NYC. It has a wide selection of tequilas and mezcal that perfectly complement their delicious menu. If you are looking for a place to get great food, with great music and fun vibes, Anejo is the place to go to. Although I personally haven't tried it, they have a bottomless brunch option - I could see everyone around us having the bestest time! I went with a group of friends over lunch and had the chance to try four different tacos. Yes, four! Each was more delicious and flavorful than the other. Let's get into it. We started with the Guacamole & Salsa Combo, because of course. - The guac was amazing! It was creamy, but not too creamy, which I loved (I like it when there are avocado chunks in there...). It was spicy, but not too spicy. Overall, perfect. - The chips looked, felt and tasted homemade. They were perfectly crispy, and absolutely delicious. And yes! You can have ~unlimited chips~!! - I love that they offer a variety of salsa. I can't remember what each was... But my favorite was the one on the bottom right. They were all perfectly creamy, and perfectly spicy. This dish is a must! Wild Mushroom Queso Fundido~ I mean, when you read pico de gallo and truffle oil in the same sentence... You already know it's being ordered. This was amazingly cheesy - check out my Insta for the cheese pull. The truffle did not overwhelm the overall taste of the dish, it was there as an aftertaste, which I absolutely loved. This dish was delicious - a must! By the time we moved on to tacos, I was already full on chips, but that did not stop us from enjoying every single bite. Shrimp~ This might actually be my favorite. I couldn't believe how crispy the shrimp were! And the sauce... The mix of guac and chipotle crema... creamy, spicy, and sweet... Absolutely delicious. Crispy Fish~ This was pretty good, but not amazing. The lime aioli was extremely fresh, which was what I loved about this dish - it was exactly what I needed after so much food lol. Coming in at second best... The Pork Carnitas! I am not usually the biggest fan of pork but this was just *chef's kiss*. Maybe it's because I'm a sucker for pickled onions? Who knows... No but really. The overall taste of these tacos were on point. The guac, salsa and cilantro, complemented the juicy pork perfectly. A must. Last but not least... The Beef Birria. Do I even need to review this? This was amazing! The sauce... The beef... The tortilla!! If you usually like beef birria, you will love the beef birria at Anejo!!
