"Aneton’s location in a narrow street tucked away in the historic centre of Athens is perfect for a break after exploring the city’s array of tourist sights. In this charming restaurant, decorated in soft tones and bathed in lots of natural light, chef Vasilis Zois conjures up vibrant and attractive cuisine with a strong Greek identity and memories of his childhood. The cooking here, which is dictated by the seasons and changes frequently, features fresh dishes prepared with the best local and seasonal ingredients. In addition to the friendly and welcoming service, Aneton also has a small bar where you can enjoy its exclusive cocktails and a superb selection of local Greek wines." - Michelin Inspector

Really lovely restaurant with a very Interesting menu. Lots of fresh ingredients. They handled my very annoying (for me) allergies very well. Husband had ceviche which was excellent. I had calamari as a main and husband had sea bream. I’d highly recommend. Oh and the wine was excellent too!

We were looking for a nice local food more elaborated than classic Greek food, this place is exactly it. Very nice ambiance, the menu not too long but with a good variety, and definitely try some of the cocktails. The staff also very friendly.

My husband and I enjoyed a gorgeous meal here on our last night in Athens. We shared the watermelon Greek salad, had the scallop ceviche special (with perfectly ripe mangoes and a hint of chili peppers), a seafood pasta and the lamb moussaka. Everything was executed to perfection especially the seafood pasta where the pieces of fish were perfectly cooked. Amazing service and I had a wonderful rosé wine recommendation as well. For dessert we had the “millefeuille” made from phyllo with chocolate and a halva mousse. Also delightfuL. We shared everything and recommend that if you go to do the same!

My partner and I came for a meal during our holiday having seen the Michelin recommendation. Overall was a pleasant experience and can't fault the service. The food was well cooked, but in our opinion not quite to our expectation The Greek salad was very tasty, but the dish of the day calamari (see photo)was well presented, but flavour was not well balanced, and the day sauce and combination seemed experimental for the sake of it rather than having a clear vision. Price was a bit too high to have these drawbacks, we would've expected close to perfect flavours

My wife and I both got horrible food poisoning from this restaurant, presumably from the wagyu carpaccio. It was so bad we ended up in the hospital. Unfortunate, because it was otherwise a great meal. Service was great, drinks were excellent, and ambiance was nice.

A Culinary Experience Beyond Compare. Dining at Aneton is more than a meal—it’s an immersion into thoughtful artistry and refined flavor. From the serene, beautifully appointed setting to the impeccable service, every detail speaks of quiet luxury. Each dish is a masterclass in balance and creativity. Highlights included a perfectly seared halibut on celery purée and a glazed chicken breast that was as rich as it was nuanced. Dessert—a deconstructed Tiramisu—was both playful and sophisticated, a flawless end to an unforgettable evening. Aneton doesn’t just serve food—it creates moments. An exquisite experience in every sense.

Dined here 2 days in a row. Amazing food - shrimp, sea food, extremely tender chicken. Tiramisu is top notch. AmEx is accepted.

What a fantastic dining experience at ΑΝΕΤΟΝ! This Michelin-recommended spot in Athens really knows how to elevate traditional Greek flavors with a modern twist. I started with the Greek salad, which was beautifully presented and incredibly fresh. The flavors were balanced just right—a perfect mix of creamy feta, juicy tomatoes, and crisp cucumbers. Next, I tried the octopus, which was tender and perfectly charred, served with subtle accompaniments that let the flavor of the octopus shine. For dessert, I went with the tiramisu, which was a delightful surprise—rich, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. To finish, I had a local Greek tea that brought a soothing, aromatic end to the meal. Every dish was delicious, and the service was attentive and warm. If you’re in Athens and looking for a memorable meal, ΑΝΕΤΟΝ is definitely worth a visit! Highly recommended!
