"A narrow street of historic Montpellier is home to the characteristic old traditional stone-built edifice that houses chef Cyril Garcia's new restaurant. His aim is clear: to showcase top-notch Mediterranean produce in a pared-back, fuss-free style. Diners have a choice between two set menus, one vegetable-based, the other featuring fish and seafood, and each with three courses at lunchtime and six courses in the evening – and the components change every month. For example, try wild Mediterranean prawn with kale, satay condiment and a gutsy prawn jus." - Michelin Inspector

A truly wonderful experience and meal. We had the 6 course tasting menu and 6 wine pairings, and the cocktail aperitif of the day. We really enjoyed ourselves, the pairing of the wine was fantastic. Highly highly recommend, well done to all staff.

Really liked the place. We had a 4 course menu but they had some surprises which was really nice. The restaurant is not on a main street, looks very classy and atmosphere is chill. Wines and cocktails tasted yummy. Wouldn't say that they serve ordinary wines. I was happy to try something new.

What a great surprise just booking the same day for lunch. A surprise menu we had with a great bottle of local wine! Thanks for your creative & innovative cooking!

It was a food experience. Our waiter was great, and was kind enough to explain things in English to us. We originally booked the gastronomique experience but they called us the day of to confirm the reservation and to let us know that they only had the Bistro available. They have tap water that they filter and offer as still and sparking, which was a nice touch. Everything was delicious and good. I personally did not like the cheeses I got post dinner but I think that's a matter of personal preference. Would recommend going here for the food and wine.

Yes! Such a cool spot. Young people doing great things, good quality cooking and a fantastic wine list. The best staff too, and a lovely place to sit. Dog friendly ❤️

Frankly super confused. I had high expectations and the waitress was nice, but honestly I don’t know what happened. We had the 4 course menu and the first 2 were complete train-wrecks. Sadly I wouldn’t recommend. To be more specific, the first dishes were some sort of experiment with vanilla and coconut and were supposed to be savory. It’s as if a child attempted to imitate a cooking show. Go back to basics, or at least be sure of what the value proposition is. Wines were good.

Thanks to the team, and especially Guillaume and Romain, two local stars of their own. Amazing cocktails to start….clever and so refreshing. And the food, so fresh from start to finish. That really nice watermelon and melon tartare with cutle fish, and that raspberry mayo style on the side….so nice that you have to finish the plate leaking the sauce from every angles. And that really great discovery of veal with anchovies sauce and grated on the meat. Amazing quality of products…cooked even tartare deep inside…. telling that you have sumptuous quality products. That dish is now one will easily do at home….and thanks to Nicolas the chef for the perfect cooking. And that pelardon des Cévennes for dessert….what else Thanks to Guillaume for his great selection of wine pairing….even though there was a 'nature' disgusting cinsault at some point replaced quickly by another nature of high level….joke …it's a joke. so those nature wines need a good Guillaume to help us find them….will call him each time now Overall the place, the people and the food…everything is top level…which could lead at some point to one Michelin 🌟 …best to come.

Interesting concept of not knowing what food you are going to get. Some lovely dishes and real cookery skills on show. Some extra touches with an amuse bouche, pre-dessert and petit fours thrown in. Wine menu is impenetrable and I worked in wine for years. Went for the wine flight which wasn't great value. I should have checked about natural wines. They served one which was terrible. Low score on the food because a couple of dishes were very bland and under seasoned. Service was good, we asked to be spoken to in French but it was inconsistent between English and French.
