"For his first stop in Chicago, Lee visited a tiny spot that specializes in arancini (fried Italian rice balls) stuffed with savory ingredients from various countries. It’s become a favorite of neighborhood Facebook groups. Lee, who posted his review on Wednesday, July 24, and his family spent $54 on six arancini, each with its own dipping sauce: Ethiopian doro wat, Mexican birria, Indian butter chicken, Indian tikka masala, Caribbean jerk chicken, and Italian meat sauce with cheese and peas. The birria arancini was an immediate hit for Lee, who praised the spices and “high-quality” meat and rated it 8.7 out of 10. A classic Italian submission, which Lee describes as a “hand-held meat pie homemade lasagna,” rated even higher (9 out of 10). Things get a little confusing when Lee proceeds to a “curry chicken” arancino, which appears to contain butter chicken, which was (unsurprisingly) low in spice but high in flavor, earning it a rating of 7.9 out of 10. The doro wat arancino, stuffed with berbere-spiced chicken, caught Lee slightly off-guard as he’d never tried it before, and he found it a little too salty, resulting in a 4 out of 10 rating. Finally, Lee circles back to the Indian tikka masala, which — like the other “subcontinent” option — also lacked flavor, though Lee ultimately assigned it 6.5 out of 10." - Naomi Waxman

This intimate neighborhood Italian restaurant is a true gem. The interior is intimate and cozy, and the service is efficient and accommodating - they brought out all our shared dishes for two already split, which was a lovely touch. We started with the Shrimp Gazpacho soup of the day and the beet salad, both very light and refreshing. For the main course, we enjoyed a special pasta dish of mushroom fettuccine that was rich and flavorful. The highlight of the meal was the braised short ribs, featuring tender beef in a rich red wine sauce. Overall, it was a delicious spread and a wonderful dining experience, and we will definitely return for more!

I recently ordered delivery and it was a mixed experience. The red sauce and salad dressing were overwhelmingly salty, making them inedible. While the pasta was nicely cooked and the vegetables were fresh, we couldn’t eat the eggplant parm or the pasta due to the excessive saltiness. Also, they got the order wrong, sent us the wrong pasta:/ Unfortunately, we had to throw them away.

The dinner was SO good. I went with a friend and we both had the pear salad, which was excellent. For dinner I had asparagus ravioli. Super good. My friend had polo angeline, which was recommended by the waiter, and she said was very good. For dessert we shared a creme brulee, which was amazing! Service was excellent! Angelina's was good all the way around. See photos. The only challenge was parking, which is street parking. Eventually we found a spot.

Absolutely great time! Visiting and love local Italian haunts. Didn’t get to meet Angelina but Anton tonight was a Devine server. Our helper (sorry I don’t know about name) was throwing back espresso and laughs with us. As out of towner besties we wanted a local food spot with charm and you get it all here. 100% recommend eggplant parm, risotto, and a drink (or 2). Note the goose on the bench as you walk in. Iconic & poetic.

We had the best experience at Angelina. Our server Anton was amazing! We were celebrating our one year anniversary and had such a great dining experience. Anton split our pasta dishes and salad, and gave us awesome recommendations. The cheesecake was incredible. We live in the neighborhood and will be back. Delicious food!!

Old design so you may expect traditional Italian food… but not. Service was just those 3 stars, no waiting time... Food quality a 2. We took very simple plates: a Caesar salad that had 4 tiny pieces of chicken breast and industrial so called parmigiana, pasta that was over cooked and filled with industrial sauce. The 3rd plate was bacon and 2 eggs. The bread came way after the plate. I put a 2 star because of the neighborhood and presence of the waiters. Would not recommend it.

We celebrated my friends birthday with a group of 13 and had a fabulous time! Their espresso martinis are devious and creamy! Their food was amazing and their service went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time.

We came here for a brunch with unlimited Mimosas. The variety of food was very poor they had only few choices to choose from. I would say if you want to get drunk and have some food this is the right place for you!!! You will be drunk and happy. They will kick you out as soon as you finish your food. But enough to get drunk lol. Food flavor was decent but nothing like wow. The Mimosas flavor was ok only with OJ. The price was excellent $45 to $55 per person with tip included. I do recommend it if you want to enjoy getting drunk early lol.
