I stopped by Angelina Ristorante and it felt like stepping into a timeless Italian dining experience in the middle of Chicago. I had a seafood plate served with Fettuccine and Alfredo sauce. It was incredible tasting and was just fantastic. We started off with calamari and it was very, very lightly breaded if at all and was fantastic. It was all calamari not hidden under all this breading. The wine was great and the dessert was chocolate and lava pudding inside. Just incredible. I ate every morsel of food because it was that good. The Service was outstanding as well. The Mgr was out of town but these guys are so well trained that they were awesome on their own. I absolutely love the food, service, atmosphere and safety of eating at this place !!!

The pasta tastes fresh, the sauces are rich and full of flavor. It’s classic Italian comfort food done right. The service is good — friendly, attentive, and welcoming without being overwhelming. Overall, a great dining experience.

This intimate neighborhood Italian restaurant is a true gem. The cozy, welcoming interior and attentive service make it a standout, with thoughtful touches like bringing out shared dishes already split for two. Their menu offers consistently good options. The beet salad is refreshing, and the braised short rib in a rich red wine sauce is deeply satisfying. Daily soups like butternut squash and shrimp gazpacho are always a highlight, and their pasta - both from the regular menu and daily specials - is reliably delicious. We are always pleased with our visits and look forward to coming back for more.

The food and service was top notch at this restraunt. Our table had a variety of dishes and each one was amazing. I will definitely be back!

Wrigleyville's little secret.(Taste of Italy) Phenomenal!! Best Italian food we ate and that's saying a lot! I was born and raised in Chicago. I can't say enough about this restaurant. The service was outstanding. Ambiance was spot on! Highly recommend!! We will be back!!

Angelina Ristorante is an Italian Gem. Went there for the first time yesterday. If you are looking for total intimate vibes this is it. I got one of the specials (frutti di mare) for $30. Large portions of shimp mussels and scallops. Very reasonable price for the food amount and quality. It was exceptional and of course the server was top notch. Get here quick.

Great service, great food, and an absolutely adorable atmosphere. Our waiter had such a thick Italian accent that I had trouble understanding him. I need to practice my Italian!! Loved the music they were playing as well.

Went here for brunch the other day! Cute little Italian spot near wrigleyville. They had a $32 mimosas deal. The deal itself sounded good but I was a little confused, he originally started giving us refills and then a bottle. When asked about how it works we weren't getting any real answer and was given little to no information on the hours/mimosa info. I got the pasta bolognese which was good! Only street parking available.

I haven't been here in years, and my recent experience was so bad that I will never come here again. I always forget how odd the layout is in the main dining area: there is no table where people literally are not right on top of each other. Service was okay, but my friend remarked that our server never looked us in the eye the entire time, which was true. Our first round of drinks was fine. Entrees were fine, some better than others. Wine was meh. Dessert, the cheesecake special, was gross. I took one bite and was like, no more, and I am NEVER that way with dessert. The server never asked if we wanted anything else before he brought our check. The absolute worst thing was that it was a really warm night and I am positive there was no AC on: we were all sweating like pigs. Never again.

Overall good experience... Good food and pasta but not memorable. The outside seating is nice and the service was OK.

Tucked away on a tiny strip in north Lakeview, just blocks away from Wrigley Field sits a quaint family-owned Italian restaurant that'll have time slow down just enough to sit down and indulge in a classy pasta dish that'll make you say, 'damn...- I mean...mamma mia'. Angelina Ristorante checks all the boxes with its elegant interior, intimate lighting, and high qualities menu items. The rigatoni bolognese was out of this world. They offer an array of red/white wins and various cocktails, in (unfortunately) small glasses, but they're still very tasty. I had the mango marg. Refreshing for the summer months. The service was as good as it could be, with a waiter giving us the specials and periodically checking up on us. The busboy who served us our water was a bit more sporadic and spilled a bit from his jug every so often so the floors beneath us were slippery when we departed. All in all, we thought it was a real special and worthy dinner in the Italiano cuisine spectrum. Would definitely go back to try the lasagna, and would be more than open to go for brunch and get on the bottomless mimosas/bellinis.

The restaurant is quaint and almost makes you feel like you're in Florence... the food was NOT like Florence. The bread was hard as a rock. Three out of 4 of us ordered linguine con vongole. This is not a difficult dish to get right. I make it at home in 15 min that hits out of the park. This version was made with fettuccine pasta (ran out of linguine?), cooked adequately al Dente so that was the best part of the entree. The sauce lacked any flavor, no salt, no garlic, no olive oil, just lemon juice and canned clam juice. Some frozen small clams on top and the clam meat that wasn't in the shell was totally lacking in any flavor aka NO SALT. Felt like I was a cardiac patient. Anyhow for $180 for 4 people with no drinks, shared two salads that were meh, cannot say the quaint atmosphere would ever get me back in there. They also told people that came in at 7:40pm that they have to hurry up and order because the kitchen was closing. Thought that was unnecessary for them to stress that twice before the couple agreed to the terms of service.

Outstanding service, I came all the way from Texas just to come to this restaurant. The food was Amazing the cooks servers waiters and even the dishwashers I got to meet first hand and they treated me like family I will definitely come again and recommend to everyone! Atmosphere here on a Saturday brunch is vibing. Came here for a friend's birthday and it was popping with everyone ordering the bottomless mimosas. They did not miss on refilling the mimosas. The food on the other hand was hands down one of the best pasta I have ever had. Flavorful and the portion size for the price is decently good. The service was decent, not the best. Definitely worth checking this restaurant out on a brunch time.

This is the cutest little neighborhood spot, great for a casual but elegant dinner! My family loves to come here whenever they're in town, and we've never had a bad meal. The food is incredible and the waiters are always friendly, plus they are great at guiding you through the menu if you're struggling with what to pick.

Really great atmosphere but food? Meh Bread okay. Pasta ~ Vongole, meh. Three times people came to the table, no one refilled our wine. Smooth talking "Italian" waiters putting it on thick. Not great but okay

The restaurant is so pretty with the colored rustic walls and chandeliers! They have a variety of vegetarian options. I got the lasagna which was MASSIVE. It was filled with cheese and veggies and the top was this crispy layer that added such a good texture. My friend got the fettuccine and that was really good as well. They gave us a 15% discount for living in the neighborhood!

Cute and cozy Italian joint in Boystown! We met with some friends for dinner and they chose Angelina's. I was excited to try a new to me spot! We arrived around 6:30 on a Friday night it was already bustling. You can tell that Angelina's is a family run space with a lot of love. The table bread and olive oil sooo yummy. To drink, I sipped on a blood orange San Pellegrino -- such a good flavor! They had a specialty cocktail that was an apple cider old-fashioned. My husband really enjoyed it and said it was the perfect fall drink! For appetizers, we ordered the fried calamari and caprese salad. The mozzarella and tomatoes were so fresh! The calamari was decent, but nothing super special. I went with our servers recommendation and ordered the butternut squash ravioli for my main course. This was absolutely delicious! I think this may have been my first time trying butternut squash ravioli and I am a huge fan now! Others entrees at our table were hit or miss, so I'm happy I lucked out with something I really enjoyed. Overall, we had a great time here! Our server was super pleasant but very busy, which is understandable for a Friday.

Shady Treatment. I had a issue ordering a 14" custom Pizza with Saus & Mushroom so I phoned in. I checkedbin with an older guy upon arrival who proceeds to check me out and when he sees I have a gift card in hand says $26. Then hands me back the most generic 1" piece of paper and says heres your balance. All the while thimkinf to self why not just give me a normal receipt as I waa thinking If Id orderwd online I likely wouldve saved almost $4. TRANSPARENCY Angeli's is all I have to say. As for the Pizza, sausage and mushrooms looked super light and pizza looked very blah, Dominos probably had more appeal and pizzazz. I was hoping others disappointment with takeout might be subject just tonfull fledge meals, instead it extended to Pizza . Attached photo was pizza and two toppings price, not sure where $26 charge for phoning in came from.

We came here for bottomless brunch after a soccer game, and I'm positive that nothing hits that sort of sport quite like Angelina Ristorante (I assume that means restaurant?). The inside is pretty small, but they pack people in all the same. If you're like me and love big crowds, this is perfect. If you get claustrophobic, this might not be the place for you since wait staff and guests are going to be squeezing by you a lot. That said, I was blown away by how quickly and efficiently the staff took care of us. I never even finished a mimosa before I had another one in my hand. The water was also always full, and the food came out so fast, especially for how high quality it was. A lot of other people were there for the brunch - which did look amazing - but being a push over for anything with fusilli in it, I opted for the lunch menu (this does still work with bottomless brunch btw). I wasn't disappointed - this was some of the best pasta I've had in this area, the only disappointment was that there wasn't more. Definitely check this place out whether you are famished after a soccer game or otherwise

Meat ball appetizer: very tender. Love the combination with the crunchy toasted bread Rigatoni Bolognese : very big chunks of meat. Would be better if the beef was stewed longer and more tender. Flavor's good Bagatelle piselli and pancetta: love the flavor. Very creamy Decent Italian food with cute waiters and reasonable price

Angelina's has been around for a long time, and they have only gotten better over the years. Like everywhere, prices have gone up, but they aren't insane. Pastas run in the mid-twenties. Appetizers are $9 and up. Entrees begin in the twenties and max out at $35. Relative to the quality of the food and the cost of comparable restaurants, this is a great deal. Cocktails are spot on, and the bartenders are not afraid to flex a little bit on more complex drinks. We enjoyed a lightly battered and fried calamari appetizer and meatballs that showcased their excellent marinara. We also had a variety of pastas, each delicious and clearly homemade. The linguini with clams was actually fettuccine, but I loved that preparation. And it came with a ton of clams. Service was friendly and efficient, even as the place got packed on a Saturday evening. Small, divided dining rooms feel cozy and comfortable. I hadn't been here in a few years, but I'm so glad we found our way there this weekend. Wonderful dinner, all around.

We celebrated my Mom's 90th last night and I cannot say enough great things about the staff and the food. We were well fed and taken care in magnificent fashion. What a terrific setting as well. Excellent selection of wine and cocktails and amazing food. Thank you so much for making it a special evening for our family!

Angelina's is THE place for a boozy brunch in Chicago. Walking into Angelina's, it feels like a different world for some reason. Maybe it's the brown walls with wine bottle decor? Maybe it's that the place feels kind of sketchy in the best way possible? First, it is an amazing deal. Second, the service is always amazing. I know people who have been given tiramisu by the waiters when they were there late after everyone else during the brunch rush was gone. This time we got a shot of some coffee thing? Maybe just espresso, I don't know! I don't care! I loved it! Third, the food is good. This was my first time getting the eggs Benedict and while not my favorite ever -- it was still yummy. I typically get the french toast. I will forever be Angelina's #1 brunch fan.

We were in Chicago for a few days and friends recommended Angelina's. I felt like I was in Rome again--such a lovely, quaint restaurant! We got there about 5:30 and it was not crowded at all. Servers were very attentive but not hovering or rushing us. DH ordered the Bolognese. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan. One of our friends ordered Lasagna and the other ordered something with oxtail. We split 2 salads and had wine. Our bill was $200 which was a little shocking but the food, service, and atmosphere...and company were excellent. We would definitely go back.

They hit you with complimentary bread as soon as you sit down--great start, right? But then, they hand you a butter knife to slice through it like you're in some kind of medieval challenge. I spent 5 minutes wrestling this bread like it owed me money. Eventually, I won (barely). Then came the rigatoni bolognese, and wow--delicious! Even when my stomach said, 'You're done,' my mouth was like, 'Nah, keep going.' The only downside? No mocktails. So, if you're sober like me, prepare to enjoy your fancy pasta with... soda. Super classy.

Great neighborhood spot. Went there for Sunday brunch and ngl, we had a rough start with service but that quickly changed. Tried the champagne brunch (1 brunch item and 4 glasses of champagne) which was very reasonably priced ($30) and had several options to choose from (breakfast and lunch items which I was pleasantly surprised by). Atmosphere was "turnt" with every single table taken and people having a good time (so definitely not a romantic spot in the day but maybe at night). Rigatoni was really delicious (I essentially inhaled it lol and had to wait while the rest of my party finished). Very intrigued by the incredibly tiny salt/pepper shakers but that's only cause I'm weird Overall, great spot if you're around or looking to enjoy a fun weekend brunch with quality food. I should mention our server was fantastic and truly so helpful!! PS: Just make reservations since the place is pretty small!

Food at Angelina's Ristorante is always consistently delicious! We returned purposely here on our recent trip to Chicago with the mouth watering memories of our previous visit and we were not disappointed! Reopening after COVID has been a challenge from take out to opening a few days and now hopefully more days during the week for this family owned neighborhood icon.

Honest to goodness Italian food without the bougieness associated with Lakeview East. The starters alone gets five stars. We're talking freshly shaven with the just the right bite parmesan and warm bread - complimentary! We had the antipasto Here the cheeses were also excellent. The meats were fine. Not a fan of the artichoke. The spiedini with polenta and shrimp is an excellent pairing. The polenta is creamy but subtle like the texture grits. The fettuccine with shrimp and cherry tomato was ok Shoutouts to the Ice tea and Tiramisu. It's not just the food - it's the ambiance - local, not stuffy, caring staff and outdoor seating always helps.

Well well well.....where do I start... a friend of ours invited us to a spot that we have never been to before which is what I do HAHAHHA!! So when we got there the doors weren't open just yet and A guy who I thought was the owner was so nice and explained to us that they will be ready in about 10 minutes and then he escorted us to the bar area for mimosas. From there it was on and Poppin the mimosas kept coming to the point where I almost had to tell the waiter to SLOW DOWN and thats unusual for me!! But this was a good thing. The food was amazing and so flavorful!! They only have 2 hour windows for reservations BUT i see why!! People were packing into the place and having a great time!!!! THIS PLACE IS A MUST GO TO FOR BRUNCH!! The reason I didn't do 5 stars is due to the size of the place... but overall GO!!

An amazing brunch spot! 4 glasses of champagne/mimosas and breakfast for $30, you can't go wrong! An old school Italian restaurant with a homey neighborhood feel. Staff was extra friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. Warm, full of flavor and color. Can't wait to come back and bring more friends

The champagne brunch is an incredible value here and I highly recommend. For $30 you get a choice of entree and bottomless drinks. They have three flavors: regular orange juice, cranberry, and peach. The drinks are well-made with a dryer champagne and paired well with our entrees. We got a frittatta and breakfast croissant. The croissant was super flaky and buttery and I definitely recommend. They were a little light on the potatoes though and the frittata, while good was nothing spectacular. If I came again, I would try one of their pastas as those looked delicious as well. Note they don't open until 10:30am but there was plenty of seating at that time whether you have a reservation or not. We sat outside and found the seats pretty uncomfortable but still worth it for the sunshine.

The food was fantastic. We were a group of 4 all had different entrees and they all were delicious. The bread pudding for dessert is out of this world.

I loved the feeling of this place! Very intimate very warm! The food was good. My chicken spinach was very sour but it worked well with the mash and chicken in one bite! So it balanced well The service was good! We had an additional item on our bill that should have not been there! But the server fixed it right away! Would def try it again

We went for brunch this past Saturday. The restaurant was very busy and loud which made the service pretty slow. The bruschetta was my favorite. The frittata was very soft and seasoned well. The fusilli con pollo was very yummy as well! They have a bottomless mimosa + brunch item for $30 which is a steal!

Amazing food and service! Would highly recommend for both brunch and dinner service. I have gone here on multiple occasions with friends and family, there has not been a single item on the menu that disappoints. Personally, I recommend the mimosa brunch special with the frittata as the main course!!

One of my favorite restaurants! I've been to Angelina for both brunch and dinner and really enjoyed both. It's a great neighborhood Italian spot with a classic vibe and always fantastic service. The mimosa brunch is a really good deal - the pear mimosa was my favorite, and the BLT had a surprisingly delicious aioli spread. Dinner is also great, I loove the Ravioli Autunno and I always enjoy the wine and cocktails. Extra points for really cool glassware.

Love this place so much. Went here for my bday and my friend brought a cake. I was nervous bc I didn't want to be a bother for bringing in outside food but they were so amazing about it. They took it off my hands when I first came in. When we were all done eating they took the extra time to turn down the lights, light a candle and sing happy birthday. They even cut the cake and served it for us! No one asked them to, they just did it. It made me so happy bc you can't really get that kind of genuine service anywhere these days. Truly the best experience I've ever had at a restaurant. Overall it feels like a very authentic Italian spot. The lighting is perfect and I love the decor. The food is soooo yummy--try the gnocchi! Thank you guys so much for the best bday dinner

Wonderful dinner. The eggplant Parmesan was outstanding. The marinera sauce was outstanding. The friend calamari was also wonderful as were the meatball. The service and everything was outstanding.

Atmosphere was so quaint. Staff, especially our waiter, was so friendly, helpful, fun, just perfect experience! Oh, and the food was delicious!

Poor service ! It's difficult to start a review when several things went wrong. I must say I had high hopes for dining here as I live nearby, and it often looks beautiful and inviting from the outside (reminding me of my time in Italy). Yesterday, I decided to go with my girlfriend. We had a reservation made in advance. Upon arrival, there were some empty tables, and I approached to inquire about the host for our table. All the waitstaff seemed busy and unresponsive. Finally, someone from the bar mentioned that the manager was the host and would be coming soon (after I complained about the lack of attention). I waited for more than 15 minutes before anyone greeted us or allowed us to sit at one of the seemingly empty tables. We ordered an appetizer, two main dishes, and wine. While still eating the appetizer, the supposed manager hurriedly removed the plate, even though we hadn't finished, and moments later brought the other dishes we had ordered. I was upset but didn't want to ruin the evening with my partner, so I chose to stay quiet and not create a scene with such poor service. Later, while we were still eating, the waiter asked if we wanted dessert. We declined, but he returned a minute later and dropped the check on the table. I stood up, paid, left a poor tip (they didn't deserve a good tip due to the terrible service from both the manager and the waitstaff). The food was okay, nothing special. I'd say there are much better places in Chicago for a similar or better price. The atmosphere inside seemed more old and neglected than charming (an Italian restaurant with reggae music, lol), and the manager's attitude was the icing on the cake - terrible. My girlfriend and I won't be returning to this place. We usually support small, local restaurants, but this was a disappointment.

Came here for brunch for a second time in a month and absolutely enjoyed it. The staff were prompt and the food was great. Prior to this month, it had been years since I had been here. I will now make it part of the brunch rotation. A special shout to our server Charles who was on top of everything from the food delivery to the drink refreshing.

Oh where to start! Absolutely THE cutest place within walking distance from my diabetes place in Buena Park. Food and service were excellent!

Food is very good and serving size is plentiful. The seating was very tight. You are literally staring eye to eye with those beside you.

We came here for bottomless brunch. Best decision I've ever made. The waitstaff is so kind, our server was Andrei. This place is so awesome I am literally writing this review from the table. We will be back!

A great "go to" Italian restaurant Consistently good service and delicious food. Smells so good the second you step inside.

Love this place! Consistently Great food & service. If I had an uncle that owned a restaurant I imagine that it would be like this; friendly, casual and treating everyone like family. It's a great neighborhood spot.

We had an amazingly good meal here on Saturday, celebrating our 39th anniversary. As always the service was fantastic from start to finish. I started out with an espresso martini, which our waiter suggested, and it was so good I had a second one. This martini had a frothy espresso infused with the vodka topped with three crisp coffee beans. It had a rich coffee flavor that when combined with the spirits had Carmel hints that suggest root beer notes. yummm. We also had the Bruschetta that is one of the best I've ever had, with fresh tomato, mozzarella and basil, topped with a balsamic glaze. For our entrees we split Eggplant Parmesan, which was rich, firm and had a crispy exterior and rich mozzarella filling topped with a rich herb tomato sauce. This dish is absolutely delicious, if you're thinking about trying this, go for it. We also shared a plate of hand rolled Ravioli with pear and goat cheese, that was sweet and rich and leaves you wishing for more. A nice glass of wine made this one of the best meals we have had in Chicago. The small intimate setting made this a relaxing night for spending time with my beautiful green eyed lover.

The restaurant was busy but Philip ( host with the most ) was definitely on top of his game. He sat us in front of the restaurant in a cozy romantic corner. We enjoyed our dinner and we would definitely recommend this classic Italian restaurant.
