"Michael Symon finds the sweet spot between red sauce comfort and regional Italian dishes at Angeline inside the Borgata. At the stylish restaurant, named for the celebrity chef’s mother, start with baked clams or arancini and then move on to the shareable Sunday supper (available anytime), which is straight out of South Philly with meatballs, cavatelli, sausage, and peppers." - Eater Staff, Dayna Evans, Caroline Coral

Convenient spot for either a quick bite, or chill by the bar, or a family meal. The restaurant size is decent and can fit a lot of customers, which is great especially when casino is busy. The services was generally good, but never exceptional. Food were mostly delicious. And portions are decent.Ambience is on the dim side, not lively . Generally is received by @winedinenvacay

Google
I’m giving 5 stars because everything I ordered was made to perfection and I thoroughly enjoyed each dish. I went with a group of 9 people, so I got to try more dishes than I would have otherwise. Other reviews aren’t happy with service / ambiance. I think this is more of a casual dining experience. It’s not upscale and not white table cloth, so you really just bring your own vibes and enjoy the food. Service for my table of 9 was good. We didn’t have any issues. All food came out on time. Server was attentive and generally friendly. Ambiance feels like you’re in a casino to me. I wouldn’t recommend for a romantic date, but certainly a great spot to escape the casino floor for a bit and fuel up! The classic Caesar salad was just that - classic and what you’d expect a Caesar salad to be. The marinated Parmesan was super addicting. After we completely devoured our first order, we ordered another! The burrata with peppers and onions was delish and a perfect bread topper. The whole branzino was perfectly cooked and tasted just the way I like with capers and a big squeeze of lemon. Yum! I also got to try the bucatini pasta with beef short rib, and omg it’s divine. Definitely the best pasta dish. The noodles were Al dente and helped carry a good amount of sauce and beef into each bite. The octopus appetizer was good, but nothing to write home about. I had some and enjoyed it, but probably wouldn’t have ordered it myself. The lasagna was another dish I tried and wouldn’t ever order myself. It was just okay in my opinion. I prefer more tomato sauce in mine. Garlic bread was tasty but not soft enough for me. It was more cheesy than buttery and I prefer a soft, buttery garlic bread with a crunchy exterior. For dessert, I ordered the panna cotta and a decaf americano. I thought the panna cotta was a bit too creamy, but it was still delicious and topped with some blueberries and berry sauce. I really enjoyed it, and even though I was completely stuffed, it was still light enough to finish. Although, it is quite a large portion and definitely shareable for 2-3 people. I wish I took more photos, but I was starving! Camera didn’t eat first this time 😂

I’ve only been here twice. One time for Valentine’s Day a few years ago and casually one weeknight and it was delicious both times. The pasta is always yummy. 😋

We were seated next to a party that was ridiculously loud. Children screaming and adults arguing. There were plenty of seats, why put us there? When we asked to move, we were met with attitude from the staff, but eventually they accommodated us. I’ve ordered the gnocchi previously and it was delicious. This time it was baked and it was horrible. The bread wasn’t fresh either. We won’t be back!

Google
☆☆☆ Angelines were okay, I read reviews before booking reservations that were overrated, to say the least. The service really impacts the mood in dining out. There is a lack of attention and a verbal tone if you're a table of two compared to a table of four. After being ignored, due to patrons that arrived after us, being anxiously serviced, by our waiter. It appeared that he sent his coworker to wait on the smaller tables. The food was sub-par see pic's. Sorry, I will not recommend Angelines to my friends and family.

Been coming here since opening. Always good food & wine. Love the rustic decor, feels like a movie scene with De Niro in Casino. The grilled branzino is superb. Charred octopus fresh with flavorful red sauce. Let’s not forget the linguine with white clam sauce, excellent. Paired with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Seafood night is absolutely divine. 👍👍

6/29/24 This past Wednesday my husband and I had a delicious dinner. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan, rigatoni and a basic green salad. My husband ordered the minestrone soup and Lasagna. The minestrone soup was some of the best he ever had. Both meals were a 10. We can't wait to go back. Our server was very good and attentive.

Google
For a place to be so close to Philadelphia and with so many Italians in South Jersey, you would think that they would be sure to make sure every single dish is out of this world, but they completely missed the mark here. Since this was a restaurant by an Iron Chef, I would’ve assumed that every single meal would be handcrafted and flavored to the point to where I would be super impressed but I left wishing for more. I am 100% sure that if this restaurant and this style was in a place outside of this tri-state, it would be considered a great Italian meal, but since you’re in a location where there’s many Italian restaurants and a ton of Italian, I would say skip this restaurant.

Yelp
Gyro horrible, little bits of veg here and there, hardly any tazzini sauce, didn't taste like any lamb was in it. Onion rings horrible, soggy,.I put them in the oven for.over 25 minutes, so much grease. Charge 5$ delivery and fees, even though supposedly free from Amazon. Charged $2.00 in the middle of order for order change, I changed nothing. Never again, better off of Black horse pike to the left of English Creek (heading to hospital from BHPike)

Yelp
I was staying at the Borgata for my birthday and decided to make a reservation at Angeline for my bday dinner. Upon entering the restaurant you automatically feel a comfortable date night type of vibe due to the lighting which was nice and the restaurant itself was full so we had a hunch I made the right choice for dinner. Our service was initially pretty slow but we didn't mind as much as we typically may have because we were having great conversation and taking our time making decisions on the menu. They offer a $59 PreFix dinner menu which was the way to go in my opinion given there was pretty nice selection of both appetizers and entrees to choose from. The complimentary bread and oil was amazing as were the cocktails (not pictured) they were ordered as we waited for our food. The appetizers were AMAZING with the polenta being my favorite appetizer and my chicken Parmesan with spaghetti was delightful and beyond filling (took over half home). My favorite from my meal overall was the spaghetti that came along with my chicken Parmesan because it was homemade, perfectly cooked and the sauce was well balanced. I would honestly go back just for the pasta. Dessert was the perfect cherry on top of the meal as we had the ricotta cheesecake and espresso martinis. Talk about the perfect way to end a meal ... the cheesecake was heavenly and the espresso martini was the best espresso martini I've ever had ! Angeline delivered on a great birthday dinner and I will definitely be back next time I'm staying at the Borgata.

Yelp
First time here and have the say the place look phenomenal very packed very busy and we had an incredible server named Nikki with the groovy glasses. She recommended us an incredible wine and we got a couple bottles. Thanks Nikki!! Enjoyed minestrone soup and baked clams. Clams were okay the soup was excellent. My table enjoyed linguine and clams and chicken parm! They enjoyed. Would come back with clients.

Yelp
Came here for a friends birthday on a Friday night and the place was virtually empty. The service was good and the wait staff was very kind and attentive. I had the short rib bucatini which was delicious and had a little kick to it. Majority of the table got the borgata Bellini and that was amazing- not very strong but refreshing!

Yelp
I first went here when it opened & it was great. Went back a few months later & it was a completely different experience. I ordered the same exact mixed drink & it went from a perfect 10 to completely undrinkable! The food was like reheated cafeteria fare. I had better Italian food at the worst pizza places around. SMH!

Yelp
I was excited to try this restaurant because of we share a name primarily but upon reading the reviews I was more inclined to try it. Upon entry my husband and I were greeted and promptly sat. We sat for about 10 minutes enjoying the nice ambiance before being acknowledged by our waiter and that's when it all went downhill for me. For the price of the menu I was expecting great customer service. The service was average at best. Our waiter introduced himself and asked what we would like. He never asked us if it was our first time or if we were celebrating anything. Both of which we would have answered yes. He got right to business and asked us if we wanted anything to drink. We had not had an opportunity to review a drink menu as one was not provided to us so we simply asked for water. Once our water was served he asked what we would like to eat. We placed our order based off of the reviews that we have seen online since no specials were offered or suggestions were made to us. I order the marinated Parmesan which came out very quickly but I was expecting a warm element to it. To my disappointment, the bread and marinated Parmesan were served cold. The bread was also hard and burnt. I also ordered the bucatini. My husband ordered the chicken Parmesan and spaghetti. Both of these dishes came out quickly as well but we're both very disappointing. Our noodles were underdone. The beef in the Bucatini was extremely chewy. The chicken Parmesan was edible but we've had better at Olive Garden. When our waiter finally came back around to ask how everything was I expressed my dissatisfaction and instead of offering an apology and asking if I'd like to try something else I was looked at as if I was lying and he took my plate away. At that point I'd had enough so I asked for a manager. I waited for about another 10 minutes or so and was told it would be a while to speak to one since she was "downstairs". Eventually the waiter came back and told us that she could not come to speak with us. At that point I paid the bill, tipped and left. But shame on them. Stephanie (that's the name I was given when I asked who the manager was) as a manager you owe more to customers than what I received during my visit. We won't be back.

Yelp
This restaurant within the casino offered a satisfactory dining experience, with the primary reservation being the high costs, which, albeit expected in a casino setting, were difficult to fully justify. The charges extended to amenities, including TV in the rooms. Nonetheless, the ambiance and service were commendable, contributing positively to the overall atmosphere. Our server was particularly likable, enhancing our dining experience. The menu choices, including lasagna and chicken parm, were pleasing without being overwhelming, presenting a balance of flavors. However, the quality, though decent, did not entirely offset the steep pricing. Our reservation led to prompt seating, a smooth aspect of the service. The pricing remains the main drawback, yet it's worth noting that within the Borgata casino, this restaurant is comparatively one of the more affordable dining options. The Borgata itself is a pleasant and refined establishment, and while Angeline's comes recommended, it might not incite overwhelming enthusiasm. It's a viable option if you find yourself hungry in the area. You will most likely enjoy the food.

Cole L.

Yelp
It was my first time in Atlantic City, and my friends brought me to Angeline. If you aren't into the casino vibe, I wouldn't recommend it. The food was yummy, and the service was good. The oysters were my favorite!

Oxish M.

Yelp
I was surprised by how average the food here was for the price point. Service was alright but nothing special. I expected more from an Iron Chef winner. There are better options to ve had in the Borgata. I had rhe seafood pasta dish, The pasta was cooked nicely but it was not very well seasoned. The grilled octopus was charred nicely but seemed underseasoned as well, the caper and tomato sauce it was in was very tasty. Overall it was underwhelming when there are so many great Italian style restaurants in the area.

Jon H.

Yelp
I've been coming to Borgata now for years, but this was my first time dining at Angeline. We had dinner reservations for 7:30 pm on a Sunday night for my girlfriends birthday. After walking around the casino for a while we decided we would like to move our reservations up an hour. We stopped by the hostess stand and they adjusted our reservations without hesitation. 6:30 rolled around and both the bar and dining areas were busy. It was just the two of us and we were seated at a half circle booth for 5. It made seating a little awkward, but they were nice enough to accommodate our reservation change so it wasn't an issue. The lighting was nice and dim in the dining room which added to the dinner experience for the occasion. I started off with a Manhattan Figura, which was good, but I could've done without the chocolate bitters. She had an Aperol Spritz and asked for the Aperol to be light. I tried it and thought it was light and refreshing, a tad sweet though. The bread served with dinner was soft, warm, and the sesame seeds added great flavor. After some deliberation we decided to split the tasting board with came with an assortment of cheeses and Italian meats. It was also served with a perfectly toasted crostini that was warm and crisp on the outside but soft on the inside, perfect for spreading on the smooth and creamy ricotta that came with the tasting board. There were two other cheeses, one that my girlfriend loved that was on the stronger side, and a more mild cheese that I enjoyed. The italian chopped salad, which we ordered to share as well, was so good that I'd order it over and over again each time I come back in the future. Entree wise, we decided to split Wood Roasted Cod and Linguine with Clams. The pasta is made in house and was perfectly cooked, Al dente. There were 7 or so little neck clams along with some chopped clams mixed in. Breadcrumbs were sprinkled on top and added great texture and our waiter added lots of freshly grated Parmesan. The cod was light, firm, and flaky, and served over a bed of cauliflower. We enjoyed both of our entrees and were happy with our selections. We overall had a very good experience at Angeline. Staff was accommodating with our reservation request, the food was very good, and I thought the prices were fair especially considering the restaurant being in an Atlantic City casino. At times I struggled to hear our server as it was kind of noisy in the dining room and he spoke softly, thankfully my girlfriend didn't have issues with that. I would return to dine here, next time choosing different entrees but ordering the chopped salad again like I stated previously.

Angela A.

Yelp
I came here for a date night with my partner and we were sat towards the back of the restaurant right next to one of the large pillars. Location of our seating, this particular night, didn't allow for us to appreciate too much of the ambiance that the rest of the restaurant has. This was a little bit of a disappointment. For dinner we started with the Arancini. This dish was well made and the flavor + texture was on point. For my entree I got the spaghetti and meatballs. I honestly wasn't wowed - the meatballs were dense, way more then to my personal liking. For dessert we ordered the chocolate cherry rum cake as well as the cannolis. I'll be honest, my favorite dishes the whole night were the deserts (cliche right?!) The cake will make all your tastebuds sing as it's got a perfect amount of rich chocolate!

Greg M.

Yelp
I was so glad I did not listen to some the negative reviews about this amazing restaurant. We were first warmly greeted by Frank the manager. Our reservations were for 5:45,(we could not get anything earlier due to MGM's website being hacked few months ago and we had tickets for Sebastian Maniscalco at 7pm). We arrived at 5:15 and Frank happily got us a great table for two. Our waiter Patrick was one of the best we have ever experienced. He was polite, funny and very knowledgable about the menu. He made great suggestions on the food and wine, their wine selection is outstanding and they have half bottles which is great. My fiancé had the salad with sheri vinagrette and the cheese ravioli, I had the buratta with sweet and hot peppers and the ziti with mushrooms and cream. Everything was outstanding! The pasta is all homemade. We shared the tiramisu for dessert, it was spectacular. If you want fresh, high quality food, you need to pay for it. We cannot wait to go back.

Michelle P.

Yelp
Pictures looks better than it actually tastes. Meatballs are mush.Soup was good. Chopped salad dressing was decent. Ravioli had about a teaspoon of cheese and their sauce tastes like soap. Chef boy r Dee does a better job. Veal marsala was tender but the sauce was way too deep and over bearing. Server never came back to check other wise we would have told them. No manager on floor.

Celine B.

Yelp
I loved everything about this restaurant. The service was immaculate! Our waitress (I don't remember her name) but she was sooo nice. The food was amazing. The drinks were also great! Definitely in my top 5 best Italian restaurants I've been to; and I'm not easy to please. Whenever I come by to NJ, I definitely can't leave without coming back. Baked clams- 10/10 Garlic Bread- Amazing 10/10 Eggplant Parmesan- 10/10 Pasta on the side: 9/10 (lower rating since it was more plain)

Nino R.

Yelp
Dining in a casino is like dining in an airport. You're going to pay. The food will be decent and the service will be fast. Shout out to Oscar. He's an SA at the moment but he's got the hustle to become a server. He was keeping our table manicured all night long. For all the pasta dishes that I've tried, I'd recommend the Linguine. It's consistent and the amount of clams is adequate. The lasagna can be dry. The bucatini can be under-sauced. The meatballs end up being a $40+ dish when you add the spaghetti. The ricotta cheesecake is dry. The tiramisu is decent but you've probably had better. Cool ambiance. Not sure the last time Chef Symon was in the building but the recipes could use a refresh. Like I said you're paying for the convenience of not having to leave the casino. It would be cool if the food was better. Great service though...

Ashley M.

Yelp
Great food, we sat at the bar area, and had Paul take care of us. He was very attentive and a great kind person. The chicken parm is a huge portion, I was so full I couldn't eat the second cutlet. The steak was good. The baked clams are chopped baked clams, they were good.

Jerome D.

Yelp
Not impressed at all. Halibut was over cooked, oysters casino were dry, and bronzino was also overcooked. Will never come back. Very disappointing. Not worth the price. Go somewhere else

Shyne F.

Yelp
Disappointed that I chose this restaurant for my anniversary dinner date. It came recommended by reception staff at the Borgata. Recommended to make a reservation of course because it's a "fine dining" restaurant, easy to make reso by calling or using Borgata app. Staff seemed overwhelmed by all the people which seemed to interfere with providing great customer service. My real gripe was the lack of flavor that my main dish had. I feel like it's pretty hard to mess up chicken parm and I expected an Italian restaurant to knock it out the park, and that was not the case. The dish looked great but I've made better chicken parm at home. Also note that you have to order a side with your dish (plus that it's shareable, minus that this also wasn't great)...we went with the potatoes :(, so bland. Sad our server never asked if food was ok lol, perhaps he knows. Server was nice enough to bring a small cake and candle near the end to acknowledge our Anni, that was thoughtful and another woman made sure our water never went to 1/2 of the cup. Our drinks were ok. Omg the highlight for my husband was the appetizer with the stuffed baked clams and for both of us the garlic bread which is the free bread they bring out but the garlic bread is on the menu to order, comes out hot. Chile I ate that entire thing and thankfully so!

Robert M.

Yelp
Having dinner at Angelina in Borgata turned out to be quite disappointing. While the service was commendable with an attentive waiter, the food, unfortunately, did not meet our expectations. The swordfish lacked taste, and the sauce was unpleasant with a mismatch of green olives in a puttanesca sauce. Additionally, my wife's Halibut was dry. The most disappointing part was the tiramisu, which seemed poorly made. If you are unsure how to prepare it, it's better to remove it from the menu altogether.

Tracy W.

Yelp
The food is fine. The ambiance is great. The service is subpar. This is my second time here and I won't be back. Both times we had terrible service. It took forever to get the waiter/waitress's attention -- once when they were busy and once when they weren't. My husband spent the whole meal asking for silverware. The sauce was too salty for all of the red sauces we got. The octopus was overcooked and mushy or grainy or something? The best part was that they offer a gluten free menu with pasta - which is surprisingly good! We skipped dessert because the service was too slow. Ugh. I hate writing negative reviews. But there are muchhhh better places I'd rather go to. Cough carmines. Cough.

Joseph M.

Yelp
If you are using Borgata Comp it's worth a visit. I usually order Veal Marsala in every first time restaurant visit. What was delivered was a far cry. Veal with Mushrooms without Marsala. A heavy thick Mushroom Gravy thicken with flour. Service and Ambiance were fine. In a restaurant where the Chef is not Italian don't expect authentic taste and flavors.

Cecilia T.

Yelp
We stayed at the Borgata and came here for dinner with the family during Labor Day weekend and got seated immediately without a reservation at 7:10pm, guess it was our lucky day. Our waitress, Stacey and all the staff were impeccable, which made our experience even better than expected. Our order consisted of ribeye steaks, spicy calamari, meatballs, tortellini, seafood spaghetti and garlic bread. Everything was delicious. The steaks were cooked and seasoned perfectly. Meatballs were a little dry but still good. The pastas tasted fresh and went well with the garlic bread. We weren't a fan of the calamari, misread it thinking it was fried, they were sautéed in red sauce. I will admit, it's very pricey for what it is but I'm glad it was a comped dinner. Regardless, I thought it was worth trying out a Michael Symon restaurant. We would definitely come back again in the future.

Karen R.

Yelp
Very friendly servers. Food was just ok. We started with the fried risotto balls. Those were very good. Then I got 4 meatballs for $32. I added a side of spaghetti for $12 because who has meatballs without spaghetti? $44 for spaghetti and meatballs. They were fine, but not $44 worth of fine! My husband had the chicken Parmesan with a side of pasta and a side of sautéed spinach. Again, it was ok. I added an order of garlic bread. The menu said nothing about cheese in it, but there was a healthy amount of Parmesan cheese in it. Not mozzarella cheese, but Parmesan cheese. I couldn't even eat it. In all, a very over priced adequate meal.

Elba V.

Yelp
Finally had the opportunity to dine at Angeline's at the Borgata in Atlantic City. What a way to spend my birthday. Food was delicious, every bit of it. I watch every cooking show on the Food Network and Michael Symon is by far my favorite chef, or should I say "Iron Chef". Thank you for a great experience and making my birthday so memorable.

Rick P.

Yelp
Not bad for a casino restaurant however for the price I expect better. Everything was prepared as ordered and service was good. I don't like how they do not allow for substitutions on the pasta dishes. Not sure why it would be difficult to accommodate that. I ordered several appetizers for the table and settled on the chicken parmigiana for myself. It was ok; but again, nothing fantastic. I'll most likely try a few other spots before returning.

Glenn E.

Yelp
The chicken parm and eggplant parm is very good, oysters casino was also very good. Fresh baked bread is also good. The cocktails were potent. Service was not very good. Ambiance was lively.

Jim L.

Yelp
The Valentine's Day special cocktail was just amazing! It's got nice ambiance but a little pricy. I would come back for that drink for sure

Yvonne R.

Yelp
Disappointed. I have visited twice, I went back for the shrimp Parmigana which had been taken off of the menu for the season. They added shrimp piccata..a plate of 7 lemony slightly garlic shrimp with a few capers...a knockoff of scampi at 39. Bucks...a la carte.... no sides for clarity. The spaghetti tastes like rahman, it was clumpy and overcooked. That was a sad return. The garlic bread at 7. Is good, the menu is weak. Chicken parm was decent with the yucky additional cost spaghetti. Drinks average at around 13. I'm not a fan, there are other restaurants. If you want decent food at a reasonable price go downstairs to the marketplace, the pizzeria down there has more on the menu and the taste is comparable. Sorry Angeline... the staff members are nice, they are suffering from the kitchen.

Kimberly S.

Yelp
We made a reservation here to celebrate my husband's 55th Birthday. Normally when we want a nice dinner we go to Old Homestead but they are closed for renovations, our second choice would have been the other new Steakhouse B Prime but they're closed on Sundays. So we figured we'd give this place a try. We were escorted to our table for two and ordered a bottle of water and were served a basket of bread and some butter. I didn't open the menu because we already read the menu online before we arrived and knew what we wanted. The waiter commented that they had just changed the menu that day so maybe what we wanted had changed and he asked what we planned on ordering so I told him to start we wanted calamari. He said that was no longer on the menu. Now I don't know if it's just me but calamari is pretty much a staple on every Italian menu. My husband asked why would you remove calamari? The waiter commented that it really wasn't moving so they replaced it. So anyway my husband looked over the other appetizers offered and decided on the Burrata & Tomatoes when it arrived my husband said where's the fresh basil? There was none to be seen. We've never seen the dish served without it. The burrata itself was tasty along with the tomatoes but it just wasn't right without the fresh basil. For the entrees he went with the Bucatini pasta and I ordered Mom's Lasagna. He said he did not like the flavor of the sauce. He said it tasted like it came from a can. I didn't care for my lasagna either. To me it tasted like tomato paste. It lacked seasoning and definitely needed salt and had barely any ricotta cheese. The one pet peeve that I have is when restaurants do not have salt and pepper on the table because you then either have to wait for your server to check in with you or flag someone down all the while your food is getting cold. So I now actually carry salt and pepper packets with me in my bag. So I barely ate half of my food and had the rest wrapped. I figured I would bring it home and season it to my liking. Since it was my hubby's birthday I had to order him a piece of cake so I got the Strawberry Cassata Cake it was served with a candle for him. He doesn't really eat dessert so he took a bite and passed the cake to me to eat. Let me say the cake was the best part of the meal! The cake was moist and the custard had just the right amount of sweetness combined with the fresh strawberries it was delicious... I commented to my husband they either have an excellent pastry chef or they order their desserts elsewhere. I couldn't finish the cake as it was a rather large slice, I should have eaten this in place of my entree. I definitely can't recommend this restaurant, I'm happy we paid in comps otherwise that food would have went straight back. This place goes in my one and done category.

Danielle M.

Yelp
Excellent service and food was outstanding. The gnocchi and linguini were well worth their price point. The linguini was cooked to perfection and there were ample clams in the dish. The gnocchi was by far some of the best we have had. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Would recommend to anyone who is visiting Atlantic City. Above and beyond anything available on the boardwalk.

Patriot ..

Yelp
We had my mom's 80th birthday party here. 16 hungry Italians. Our reservation was for 5:00. We were seated 5:00 on the dot as soon as they opened. Because of the large number of people we had a set menu. For Appetizers we had meatballs and rice balls. Rice balls were awesome. Meatball pretty good. Not as good as mom but good. Garden salad fresh and delicious. The entrees were just awesome every one of them. From the veal osso bucco to the homemade cavatelli and bucatini. One better than the other. Dessert was cannolis and Italian cheese cake. Just delicious. Overall amazing service and food. Highly recommend.

Rita P.

Yelp
Service is Outstanding and Food is to Die For! ENJOY! DRINKS are Yummie...and wonderful Grappa List! 5 Ambiance is lovely as well.

Hunter C.

Yelp
This place really needs some help. Prices look reasonable for an upscale celebrity restaurant in a casino but one must consider that appetizers/salads are basically tapas sized and entrees are completely a la carte (no potato or veg). That style is hardly an ode to Italian food culture. Arancini was tiny, cold, and nondescript, chopped salad was small, well seasoned and dressed but utterly lacking in featured ingredients (salami and provolone), burata was small and average. Tortolloni was only very good dish we had. Chicken parm was indefensible - breading tasted burned, chicken was dry, nondescript sauce, lack of cheese. Moms lasagna was ground beef and lasagna noodles, lacking in sauce and cheese. Server couldnt care less for first half of night and then warmed up as tipping time was approaching.

Yelp
The hostesses won't make eye contact and will greet you with all of the charm you could expect at a prison cafeteria. However, they will be more than happy to text on their phones while loudly complaining about how they wish they weren't at work. It doesn't matter if the restaurant is at an eighth capacity- as you tell them you have a reservation they will look displeased that you interrupted their complaint session when you approach the podium. My family group (we were celebrating a graduation) were all shocked by this. The food is comparable to chain restaurant Italian fare. Bland and of subpar quality, especially for the price. The desserts are stale as if they are straight out of a greasy spoon diner case. The drinks aren't bad. The servers are friendly. For authentic Italian food at Borgata visit The Wine Bar-- quality ingredients, delicious food, and a hostess that doesn't look like she's on the verge of quitting. The Borgata Buffet's pasta dishes are also much tastier than here. I always wondered why Angeline had available reservations while everywhere else at Borgata was booked up. Especially when we were a group of 6 last minute. Now I know. Ciao, Angeline! I hope you either revamp your service and cuisine or that a more deserving restaurant takes its place at Borgata.

Yelp
Service was fine but they rushed. We had a 3 course meal in 1/2 hour. Food was disappointing. Our main dish (which we shared because I can't eat a whole meal and my husband is dieting). The spaghetti with seafood. It was warm at best. Next time we come to AC we will not be eating at this restaurant.

Yelp
Recently ate at Angeline, have to say the restaurant is slipping in food quality. Flavor lacking in pasta dish, Cesar salad and baked clams. No specials to offer. This is an easy fix, hopefully it happens

Yelp
We love the Borgata and the experience of being there, but this restaurant is unfortunately off-brand! The food and service was awful. The chicken was extremely salty, and when our deserts were served, the tiramisu was brought out in a cocktail glass that was placed directly on my fellow diner's plate of cannolis! When they put the one plate down on the table, they separated my tiramisu glass and plopped it in front of me with no plate; the cannolis on my co-workers plate had just been shoved to the side to accommodate my tiramisu glass. I've never seen that kind of service at this price point before, or frankly anywhere! PS--I had to further edit this review as we were all sick during the night and the morning after this meal. I have a stomach of steel and can't remember the last time I got ill from a meal :(.

Yelp
Ordered ceaser salad which was not good, pasta with lamb Ragu had little meat and sauce was like tomato paste. I ordered sword fish and it was over cooked and I sent it back and got eggplant parm instead which was soggy and tasteless, rapini had red pepper which over Powered it and it was chewy roast potatoes tasted like there was vinegar in them. All in all food was terrible except for the dessert. Also not worth the money.

Yelp
Run don't walk away from this restaurant! It was the worst food I've ever had in a restaurant. My sister and I both ordered the chicken parm that came ala Carte, with sides of spaghetti and a side of spinach, the chicken was hard and chewy as if it was frozen and old. the pasta was hard and clumped together with disgusting sauce and the spinach with garlic was also old and heated with old garlic .. All also tasteless My sister sent the chicken back and got eggplant parm and that was also disgusting, she could not eat it . We told the waitress and she said people love the food, ( and could care less we were not happy) I don't think anyone loved their food because upon leaving I saw many plates of food left on tables . Michael Simon should be ashamed to have his name on this place! Horrible !

Yelp
My stars are only for the service and the cocktails which were top notch .. the ambience is beautiful as well.. Sadly the food is just mediocre at best , the quality of the food honestly is not so great either ... it os surprising given how much effort goes into the service and atmosphere.. was extremely underwhelmed...

Yelp
Wanted to like this restaurant. The ambience was nice, nice lighting, the visible wine cellar, and tables. The food considering the price point was not good. We came here for my husbands birthday, no mention was made even though I did mention it when making the reservation. My sons meal he could not even eat as his veal had on off taste, we took it home to throw it out later. My meal was too spicy, the lobster appetizer was chewy. My husbands filet was the only good plate and he shared it with my son. For dessert we ordered the cherry rum cake and that was also a flop. It was hard and dry. The waiter never checked on us after our food was delivered as should be done. Perhaps it could have been rectified earlier.

Yelp
Bread was basically stale and reheated in the oven. Caesar salad was tasteless and lacked cheese. My shells fra diavlo when ordered was warned it's very Spicy but on a scale of 1-10 was a zero. I know it said homemade pasta and it was but you could have fooled us. The meal was topped off but the busgirl removed my plate from in front of me when I was not done. This is unfortunately a hard pass in the future. It's a shame. Im Not big into celebrity chefs but talk about killing your reputatio..."

Yelp
The food was good, the service was good as well but the waiter could have been a bit friendlier. He was kind of gruff and to their point. Food and ambiance were very good however the service was not the best for a restaurant of this caliber. They need to be re-trained on what customer service means.

Yelp
My family and I came here with a reservation on a Saturday night for my moms birthday. It was hoppin! The restaurant itself is gorgeously designed. The servers are all very friendly and knowledgeable. The food came out quickly and was delicious. The only bad thing was the acoustics when crowded. It was very loud so hard to talk across a large table without shouting a bit. But a fun night out indeed.

Yelp
I took my wife here for our Anniversary. I'll start by saying my wife and I are early dinner eaters, so our reservation was for 5:30PM. The service was good. Mike our Server was great, very polite and attentive. I had the old Fashioned and my wife had a lemon-cello cosmo, to start. For appetizers we had the sample board with different cheeses and meats and my wife wanted to try their calamari. For dinner we both had the porcini crusted strip steak. We both loved it. She had it with spinach I had it with roasted potatoes. And for dessert my wife had the vanilla panna cotta and I had the tiramisu. Absolutely no complaints! Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! Overall, wonderful time with the love of my life. And a wonderful meal. Will definitely come again.

Yelp
Food was mediocre. Clumpy spaghetti, undercooked shrimp piccata. Service was good. Waiter very attentive. Ambiance is very nice.

Yelp
excellent place to eat located within Borgata Casino in Atlantic City. Following all CDC rules and being careful with COVID. Our waiter was excellent - helped me prepare my Branzino as it is served whole in this restaurant. AMAZING taste and full of flavor. Love their pasta and appetizers. The artichoke, antipasta and baked clams were delicious. Try not to fill up on their yummy atlantic city bread! My dad enjoyed his pork chop but did note it was very spicy. My mom also loved her eggplant parm. Excellent dinner with family.

Yelp
I cannot understand for the life of me why Angeline only has 3 stars. 1) I've been trying to get a reservation for awhile (note: only in town Fridays and Saturday's and I don't like to eat late, so must reserve in advance) 2) service was INCREDIBLE: 3) food and wine list *chefs kiss* Thomas was our server and he was a joy to be around. Ample selections and stacked wine list. THE PASTA IS AWESOME, I ordered the bucatini and it was perfection. Ambiance is great. I can't wait to go back !!! Highly recommend !

Yelp
The hardest part was finding the place inside the casino. There are signs until there aren't. Luckily, there are staff that will direct you the rest of the way. I was excited to try Michael Symon's cooking after watching him in competition. I realise that he's probably almost never here, but theoretically, the chefs in the back should benefit from his training. Eh. Don't get me wrong, the food here isn't bad, but it's not great. At this price mark, the food should be great. If you're going to have the courage to open an Italian restaurant in South Jersey, bring your A game. This is C game food. I ordered the bucatini. Someone seems to have oiled the pasta, because the sauce was super slippery. The short ribs were okay. The server had asked if I wanted it spicy, which I did. It was not. He brought out some chili flakes for me. I also got a bite of meatball. Again, they were technically correct, but they weren't great. The sauce wasn't broken, which was an improvement over mine. This very much tasted and felt like culinary institute fare. Portions were monitored to be precise. Temperatures were maintained. But the soul of the food was just someplace else. The service is pooled. They are doting. This was great. Also magnificent was that we dined with no reservations on a Friday night. The ambience is quite good. It's similar to Aureole in Vegas, but the wine list is no where near as inspired. Dessert saved this meal. I got a big, fat slice of the chocolate cherry rum cake. I love chocolate. This is not high quality chocolate, but it is addicting. There is WAY too much of it. It desperately needed more cherries (not likely due to expense) or coulis or cream. The cherries are divine, but there aren't enough of them to cut the chocolate. It was definitely worth boxing up and feasting on later. The panna cotta was perfection. If you don't feel like heading downtown, this place won't disappoint. It just won't make your week.
