"Angeline’s, a sophisticated, sleek restaurant at Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel, is open on Christmas Day for breakfast, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., and dinner, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. For brunch, start with the zeppoles, an Italian doughnut with seasonal jam, and finish with a savory ciabatta and prosciutto eggs Benedict. And then circle back to the zeppoles again. At dinner, Angeline’s will serve a full menu, including seasonal features like a pumpkin agnolotti and grilled branzino. The whipped ricotta with lavender honey is a delicious starter, and the bolognese is a cozy main." - Kayleigh Ruller

What a great dinner! The whipped feta, gnocchi, and lamb were all incredible. Sven and the rest of the staff were friendly, accommodating, and efficient. It was one of the better meals I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend.

We came to Angeline's for breakfast 3 times and dinner 1 time. Each time we were here we had a brilliant meal. The staff are very friendly and are attentive. Our servers Miller and Tracy (sorry if spelling is incorrect) were very good at their jobs. Food is absolutely delicious, both at breakfast and in the evenings. The selection of local beers and ciders were also very nice. Would recommend to anyone looking for meals especially if staying at the hotel

GLUTEN FREE REVIEW: Absolutely amazing experience with endless Gluten Free options available - both appetizers came with gluten free bread. All pizzas can be made on gluten free crust and pastas can be made with gluten free noodles! Bonus that there is no up charge for gluten free. The flavors of everything were amazing and the atmosphere was great! Our favorites were the mussels and whipped ricotta. Heads up that the chopped salad was spicy!! We didn’t get to try a gluten free pasta but will be back to do so!

I had a wonderful experience at Angeline’s. I met up with some colleagues for some drinks and conversations in the patio, and the wait staff was pleasant. They made sure drinks were full and that everyone was enjoying their drinks. We had a large spread of appetizers available but I didn’t get to try any of it, as I had to leave for a dinner reservation right after. Overall, it was easy to find Angeline’s (we took an Uber and walked from the drop-off site) - it was in a great spot with excellent “curb appeal”.

Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience from start to finish. I had higher expectations for a place rated 4.7 stars. When we arrived, we were seated but it took 15 minutes for a server to come to our table. We ordered drinks, and my glass of wine had an insect in it (they replaced it immediately). We ordered a pasta and a pizza, which took 50 minutes to arrive. The food was okay, nothing extraordinary. For the price, I believe you can find a place with better service and more flavorful food.

Google
4/5 Breathtaking views and decor. You can tell the owners invested a lot into the atmosphere. However, not crazy about the fact that my entree must be the source of subsidizing this appearance. Ordered the lamb pasta dish and as you can see, not the most filling. Wish I didn't spend as much as I did on it. Sauce was just okay too.

Google
Nice restaurant . We ordered arancini, meatballs ( i would not recommend - too dry and cold) risotto , hazelnut cake(good) and gelato ( too bad we got sorbet instead)

My family and I had dinner here at 9pm on a Monday night. The atmosphere was lively and buzzing with chatter with people who appeared to be on dates, out with friends and networking with colleagues. The cocktail list is top tier. I recommend the Spill The Tea cocktail if you like something sweet, citrusy, and dynamic or the Doctor Robusto if you want something smokey, slightly tangy and a little florally. The Calabrian pizza was outstanding with its robust pieces of meat and creamy cheese. The bolognese was deliciously rich and everything in the white cioppino dish tasted fresh and was swimming in a sophisticated white broth that tasted similar to alfredo sauce. The hostess and server were welcoming, courteous and attentive. The restaurant is beautiful and elegantly designed with an open kitchen concept.

Yelp
I had a wonderful stay at the Kimpton for business last week, and a colleague and I decided to try Angeline's for dinner on our last night. We came around 7 PM without a reservation, and we could not get a table until 8:30. We opted to have dinner at the bar. While we had good service and great food at the bar, the restaurant space itself is SO beautiful with nice lighting and a lush atmosphere...so if you can make a reservation, I'd go for it to be able to enjoy the lovely dining room! The food here stood out as the best we had all week in Uptown. We had the burrata salad and the minestra/minestrone soup to start, and both were fresh with generous portions and full of flavors and colors. The margherita pizza was perfect for sharing, with light fresh tomato sauce, the perfect amount of cheese, and a light crispy crust. The folks around us ordered some of the pasta dishes and they raved. I will definitely be back, and next time I will save room for the tiramisu!

Yelp
For starters, this restaurant is in the hotel in downtown! There's street parking they you have to pay for & some parking in a garage (again, you have to pay for it). They do not validate parking at the hotel! Okay let's get into my experience, I was really excited to try this place because Italian food is one of my favorites! There wasn't anything about it that was terrible, I just don't think it lived up to my expectations. The food was pretty "fair" in my opinion. I would think because of the restaurant being a little/semi upscale that the food would have that "wow" factor to it. I absolutely love anything with arugula, prosciutto, & ricotta so the pizza I ordered sounded pretty perfect. It was okay.. It was a little underwhelming. If I had to order again, I think I would simply get the pepperoni pizza. I have the same sentiments towards the Lamb Pasta. I didn't taste at much of the lamb at all & I hate to say this, but it reminded me of Chef Boyardee I truly hate to admit that. Lastly, my dessert seemed to be a little over fried & had a unique after taste to it. I'm not sure if that is just how their version of an italian donut taste like, or if they fry it in the same oil as a savory dish (almost like mozzarella balls or something of that sort) Now, you're probably wondering why I gave it 3 stars & not 2 and that's simply because like I said, the food may not have been my favorite, but it was not the worst. I give three stars mainly for the service & the muscles! The sauce they cook the muscles in is delicious! that was definitely the highlight of our food experience. As stated, we received great service from Ellis. He was very attentive & showed care to all the tables her served in his section. The atmosphere of the restaurant was so cozy, romantic, & welcoming. This is a great place for a date night or a girls night!

Yelp
So disappointing. We went here despite the mixed reviews. As others have said, the vibe and decor is really nice, and conveniently located in the bustle of uptown. The food, however, was not worth the price for several reasons (except the brussels sprouts were great). My husband ordered the bolognese pasta dish, which the waiter highly recommended. When it arrived, it was the size of an appetizer. I have never seen such a small dish of pasta in my life. However, the pricing was not appetizer pricing. I ordered the local greens salad with chicken, which the menu said it came with pecans, and the server said it was mixed greens such as romaine and arugula. It arrived with a few pieces of chicken on it and not mixed greens, and no pecans. I asked our server if I had gotten the wrong salad, and he said it was the right one. I told him I thought the menu said it came with pecans, and he said, "do you want some pecans? I can bring you some if you'd like." A very boring salad. Such a disappointing meal for the price!

Yelp
Always one of my preferred business dinner out Uptown Charlotte. Service is attentive and friendly. Drinks are well made. The restaurant is not too loud so you can have business conversations without having to yell across the table. I never had any bad dishes here. Always so delicious!

Nick K.

Yelp
A great restaurant in uptown Charlotte! Check out the quality of this food! So good! Would recommend!

Yelp
This restaurant is in the middle of downtown. The restaurant is attached to The hotel. And on top of the hotel is a rooftop lounge. At this restaurant they serve mainly Italian food; different flat oven baked pizzas and a pizza of the day, along with a small selection of pastas. The interior was very nice and modern. Dim lighting, created the upscale ambience. We came in without reservations and because a convention was going on, they could only accommodate us at the bar. Luckily, we stayed in to dine because the food and atmosphere was great! For appetizer we had this creamy Ricotta spread $15, that was whipped into a light and creamy texture. You spread it on toasted bread. It tasted light, and airy, and so refreshing. It was perfectly balanced with a hint of pistachio, lemon, and honey. We also had the calamari $18 which was battered and fried perfectly. It was done very crispy and deep-fried with slices of pickled jalapeño peppers. Only gripe is that they added more peppers than calamari. We got the STRACCIATELLA pizza $23 (Creamy Ricotta Sauce, Prosciutto di Parma, Arugula, Lemon Oil) The ingredients on the pizza were a good combination and were very crispy. They did not skimp on the cheese. However they scoop a huge chunk of cheese and put it in the middle of the pizza, which in one bite would be too overwhelming. I had to spread the cheese out to cover the entire pizza for a more balanced bite. We also got the CHICKEN SUGO PASTA $28 it's Strozzapreti, Chicken Bolognese. Spinach, and Roasted Mushrooms. This was my favorite dish. Cheesy and creamy and flavored perfectly. Overall the food was what gave it 5 stars! Would go back here and try their other dishes.

Yelp
Had a solo dinner at Angeline's for a work trip, and it was a great option! Solid 4.5 Let's start with the food. The Fra Diavolo seafood pasta ($38), which is one of their most popular offerings, is a tasty dish with thin and silky pappardelle noodles, a rich tomato sauce with a touch of chili, and a smattering of 2 perfectly cooked shrimp, 5 mussels and topped with 1 succulent scallop and some crunchy breadcrumbs. It's well executed and worth the price, but it's not overly filling (best for medium to light appetites) - don't forget you're also paying for not only the meal but the ambience and service. I also had a light local greens salad with peach, green beans, hazelnuts, butter leaf lettuce, and beets sprinkled with flakes of Parmesan $14 - it was good but I expected more flavor overall, more sweetness from the in-season peaches, possibly a bit more saltiness from the green beans, and sweet-tart from the dressing. It's roomy and feels upscale without being pretentious, perfect for a date or hanging out with the girls or even taking your coworkers. The servers and wait staff were very attentive and friendly. They even brought two complimentary chocolate confections at the end of the meal with the check. Definitely would come again!

Yelp
Mari was excellent and was very attentive to our needs and fixed the problem that we had she was able to answer all of our questions and concerns for everyone in the party .the food was excellent they offered a variety of different items to choose form. The restaurant is very nice and elegant for the ambiance .

Yelp
Came here with my bf one night when we were in town. We loved the ambiance of the restaurant and sat at the bar. The bartender was busy at first but once we started talking to him he really opened up and we had great conversation with him the entire night. We both enjoyed our drinks and to eat we ordered (to share): The Funghi Pizza, the Mussels, the Whipped Ricotta, the Wood Grilled Asparagus and the Chicken Sugo. As you can imagine we didn't finish everything but we did really enjoy everything! Between the ambiance, the good drinks and food, what more could you ask for? I am sad to see some of the other reviews are a little less pleased but this place (to us) did not disappoint. We were stuffed and kept eating bc it was so good and we didn't want to have to bring leftovers to the hotel! Also, the bathrooms were clean and nice! We also sat next to a guy at the bar who said whenever he's in town this is his favorite spot so we think we made a great choice. If we are ever in the area again we would certainly come back!

Jennifer E.

Yelp
Came here on a double date and had a fantastic time! My friend had been here previously and they raved about it so decided to try it out. Definitely upscale and had a nice chill vibe to it. Located in uptown next to Merchant and Trade rooftop. We actually walked in around 8 and were able to be seated without having a reservation. Everything was delicious. We tried everything from their Mussels, calamari, pork chop, steak, salmon, and fries. Everything was absolutely delicious and tasteful. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive (failed to get her name). We decided to get their dessert also. Chocolate torte and tiramisu. Both were very flavorful and definitely hit the sweet tooth craving afterward. Overall, I had a great experience and will be back to try other dishes.

Frankye J.

Yelp
My bolognese chicken plate was beautiful but the chicken was bland. Friendly staff. The place was half capacity but it took 40 minutes for entrees( 3 ppl in my party). It was my birthday and I received a nice card and a desert. I asked if you all do anything special for Birthdays. My server showed up with a little chocolate desert with Happy Birthday written in chocolate and a charged of $13.00 for the snack! Unbelievable! Beautiful place but I'm sad about that additional charge.

Kim P.

Yelp
I recently dined at this restaurant to celebrate my birthday with family, but unfortunately, the experience was far from celebratory. My brother and I ordered the same dish, and both of us fell ill with food poisoning the next day. It took two days for us to recover, disrupting our New Year's plans. I brought the matter to the attention of the restaurant manager, who assured me that the Chef would follow up. However, I never received any communication from anyone at the restaurant. This lack of accountability and follow-through was extremely disappointing, especially considering the severity of the issue. While I understand that incidents can happen, the absence of concern or resolution has left me questioning this restaurant's commitment to food safety and customer care. I hope they take steps to ensure this does not happen to anyone else in the future.

Diamond N.

Yelp
Ambiance was great & rum punch drink was great. Appetizer (meatballs) came out lukewarm inside. Ordered steak (lukewarm) & bolognese (fair). Spent over $200. Our server was awesome, Bella Caio's is better & not as expensive with fresh hot food. Will not be back.

Ileana F.

Yelp
I would return everyday for the red sauce from that incredible fra diavolo pasta! The seafood in the pasta was tender and flavored beautifully and the fresh pasta was delicious and cooked perfectly. For sure would order again. The Calamari was also good, loved the breading. The caesar salad was okay 3/5. The creamy chicken pasta was also so delicious, so much so we didnt have any leftovers make it through the night. Such a great meal! Alex was our server and did an excellent job throughout the evening and all his recommendations were spot on. The restaurant itself is also so nice!! The interior and bar area are intimate and great for a more upscale evening. Can't wait to come back!! Definitely on my Charlotte list for next time.!

Kenyatta W.

Yelp
Please stop whatever you're doing because I need to rave about Angeline's! I visited Charlotte with my sister and God mom to see Usher and was pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant. We are originally from ATL so good food is our birthright. I had the kind of dinner that makes you want to text everyone you know (which is exactly what I'm doing right now ). First off, the vibe? SEXY. We're talking dim lighting, perfect ambiance, the whole nine yards, think HIGH End restaurant - basically the restaurant equivalent of putting on your favorite outfit and feeling like a million bucks. Let me tell you about Joel, because this man is a straight-up GEM. Not only did he provide top-tier service, but his personality had our whole table cracking up. The kind of server who makes you feel like you're hanging with a friend who just happens to be bringing you amazing food. Speaking of food - holy moly, the whipped ricotta! It's the kind of appetizer that starts with everyone being polite like "Oh, just a small bite" and ends with everyone strategically positioning their spoons for the last swipe. And the seafood pappardelle? PERFECTION. I'm still dreaming about it, and I'm not even being dramatic. Not too much that will leave you blotted but enough that will have you perfectly satisfied. Listen, I know we all have that restaurant wishlist that keeps getting longer, but do yourself a favor and bump Angeline's to the top. Like, yesterday. Stop reading reviews (yes, even this one), pick up your phone, and make that reservation RIGHT NOW. Trust me, it's a straight 10/10, no notes, absolutely crushed it. Thank me later!

Lily H.

Yelp
Great place to come and have dinner in the heart of Charlotte. We ate early for 6:00 but the entire time we were there until departure. The restaurant filled up and stayed full. Clearly a popular spot. We tried several starters and entrees and everything was delicious with interesting flavors. The scallops were too salty but otherwise everything else was delicious.

Yang C.

Yelp
We had a corporate dinner here with a group of 11. We had the dinner in a big conference room up at the third floor with an open bar. They had a good selection of wine and liquor. The setup was nice, with an appetizer bar. The menu was well designed but the first entree item was very misleading... it said "cauliflower steak" but didn't put the "vegetarian" there... so a few of us thought it's a real steak... and of course they were surprised with a huge cauliflower dish... the waitress came back and apologized saying that it happened many times before... we just thought it would be helpful to put an "vegetarian" note there after the name so people will understand better. With only 3 options from the main entree, 2 of us got the wrong order because of the cauliflower steak mistake. Then another 3 of us (including myself) got our entree wrong (we ordered salmon and got the chicken...) Not sure how that happened but was expecting that... They were able to replace salmon for us though... I ordered the seasonal green salad, which came out to be tasty and light. The salmon turned out to be great, tender and juicy. And the dessert was good too. The waitress and waiter were nice though.

Anita S.

Yelp
Lovely outdoor dining nook with music and hosta plants created a great ambiance. Service was excellent. The cauliflower steak was phenomenal!!

Cecillia A.

Yelp
Food: it's pretty good. I'm not big on Italian but I only went here for a friends bday. Price is not worth it. I think there's better bolognese out there for half the price. I order cider and it was 7$, so not bad. We didn't really try anything else as price was not worth it. Service: great service, nice and attentive. Ambiance: elegant. Very nice and pretty chill. Parking: they don't have their own parking so you would have to park in the parking garage. I would go here again but it would be once in a blue moon, or for a special occasion. Nothing different from this restaurant compared to other places. I hate anything in uptown because of parking and the crowd so I try to avoid it as much as possible.

Vince J.

Yelp
Located in center of Uptown with nice ambiance & atmosphere . Had Saturday nite reservations & seated immediately as place was packed solid. Started with Caesar Salad which was delicious Had a pepperoni pizza & ribeye & sauce with chips ....mushrooms & asparagus...... Steak cooked to perfection ....veggies very fresh & tasty.... Glass of wine topped meal off.... Gelato for dessert & chocolate truffles.... Pete, our waiter was very attentive ...checking few times of all was well.... Great date place .. Will be back

Angelo R.

Yelp
My wife and I both went there for dinner and we were very disappointed. The food was good, but it was pretty basic and bland There was no wow factor

Jackie L.

Yelp
Angeline's is in a great location in Uptown. It has a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. It's easy to uber to. Not sure how much parking is available around it though. The service was good. The food is average. Nothing blew me away. The cacio e pepe was good but the chicken was an extra $7 which was not worth it at all. I've also had better pizza in town. Overall is a convenient place to stop to eat, but not sure I would take family/friends here from out of town. Definitely not my first choice.

Boris G.

Yelp
5 star wonderful birthday dinner amazing servers great food will be going back and high recommend

Orest S.

Yelp
Eggs Benedict were great, Tuscan Hush -, but probably not my best choice. Really great interior and personnel. I enjoyed my time there.

Keith B.

Yelp
The food was very disappointing relative to the price In town Sunday night for a business meeting on Monday. This place was walkable from our hotel. First impression of the restaurant (ambiance, decor) was positive. I evidently the Panthers had a game that afternoon so it had some fans in there. Bar was full. But where it took a turn was when the food came... Caesar salad was ok....nothing special or anything resembling anchovies 3/5 Calabrian Pizza @$22 - we agreed it was about same caliber as pizza hut/dominos = 2/5 stars Fra Diavalo pappardelle 2/5. (Marinara sauce 1/5)...barely edible and @ $38 lol 4x Old Fashions with entry level buffalo trace bourbon...$22 lol. They didnt mess these up but very weak pour So this place thinks it can charge NYC prices but would not stay in business for a month in NY Will not be back. Ever.

Gauhar R.

Yelp
Very beautiful place, special evening atmosphere, ideal for dates and long conversations. Large selection of cocktails and wine. Delicious dishes and pizza! The server was attentively and kind to us.

Priyal A.

Yelp
Was super excited about this place but will have to go with 4 stars. Most of the food we had was good, but nothing that I'd go out of my way to return for. We started off with the Prosecco they have on tap, but it tasted more like white wine because it was so flat. We tried to ask our server about it but he insisted that's just how that particular Prosecco was. We ended up ordering a bottle since we had a larger group, and that tasted much better. A few of friends in our group also tried some of the cocktails which they really enjoyed, so their drinks menu is solid overall. As for food, I HIGHLY recommend the Whipped Ricotta - the focaccia bread and ricotta it was served with was simply divine. This was probably my favorite item on the menu. I shared the Caesar salad with a friend, which I also enjoyed. For my main course, I went with the Cacio E Pepe, the server highly recommended it and I figured you can't go wrong with a classic. I'd probably give it a 7.5/10 - I found it to be a bit too peppery and lacking in flavor otherwise. I still enjoyed it, but expected a little better especially considering the price point. Some of our friends also tried the assorted gelato for dessert and loved it! Overall, this place was nice - the vibes inside are cute, our server checked in on us regularly, portion sizes were decent, food quality was good, and drinks were great!

Vicki S.

Yelp
Fantastic experience. From the moment Alex our server greeted us we had a wonderful experience. We came before the Beyoncé concert with a reservation and we're promptly seated. Alex greeted us and explained the menu options clearly and offered suggestions. The food was authentic, fresh and so flavorful. I had 2 mezcal cocktails that were wonderfully smoky. We had the Margarita pizza with chicken and the cheerwine porkchop. 10/10 would recommend. Want to come back for the brunch !

Eunice I.

Yelp
Ate here last night after the first couple of restaurants we went to had no open tables. First thing I liked was the ambience. They have an open kitchen layout and the restaurant itself has ample space for hosting groups. There were six of us and we didn't have a hard time getting seated, although we did put our name down and they texted us once table opened up. I also liked that it was dimly lit which gave it a more intimate vibe. The food, though, left much to be desired. I ordered the bolognese and switch out the paparadelle for bucatini which is a thicker spaghetti. The bolognese was ok, a little oily and needed more seasoning. My friend ordered the calamari and noted it was dry and without seasoning. The Brussels sprouts were honestly the highlight of the night

Christopher B.

Yelp
Service and Appearance of a high-end Italian restaurant. The staff were courteous and attentive. The food was subpar for the price. I dropped in for lunch, looking for some good pasta. There were only two pasta options on the menu. The rest of the menu was side dishes, pizza, soup/salad, and sandwiches. $22 for a Bolognese that could have come from a freezer section of any grocery store. I'm only giving it 3 stars because the staff was so good.

Rick D.

Yelp
Terrible! Waited for 10 mins at the front door all the employees all looked at us like want do you want? You guys know me, I take it easy and 3 times and out is not an option, as we are leaving so...... The critical review, doors are open, 5 pm and you left us standing, anyone could have sat us and then you teel us the bread is not made yet? your open, right? Alex (Was Okay, can not handle it when things fall apart, no Customer service skills beyond just serving) and his assistant/trainee was better at the high stress situation. I learned in the military, you only get one chance to make first impression and this place blew it and I don't necessarily blame Alex just his inability to handle criticism from my wife. I do blame Management aka the manager on duty who just stood at the food window like she was expediting for a dining room that had 3 people in it, instead of stepping up. I know they have hired a new Chef which can only be a plus maybe someone can grab the reins of this place before it spirals out of control. I Had the Pepper Pasta (As I can not recall the Italian name) and it was not so Bueno, I had to get up and get the black pepper from the servers table, to be honest I almost think it was brought to us without pepper having been added. The Bread that was not made, was made up by bringing us a sliced Beget, warmed and Dry? Weird. I am not going to waste your or my time writing any more, just not a good experience , ambiance, customer service, management and I know typically I give most places 3x's and out, I am moving and they just will not have opportunity to make it better. So Skip them, so many other places in town, you don't have to worry about.

Annie E.

Yelp
If you're looking for Italian! This is your place. The ambiance of this place is unforgettable. It fits for any occasion. We started with a glass of moscato and bread spread. The service here was top notch. I would definitely be coming back.

Mia W.

Yelp
Food was good, but value is not there. My husband ordered the ravoli which was listed as an entree. It came with 5 quarter size ravolis for $32. If I wasn't such a light eater, he would have had to stop for a sandwich on the way home. He ate half of my Bolognese which wasn't a large serving. The service and atmosphere are nice, but it's just too much money to leave hungry. I know restaurants are struggling right now, but so are patrons. We just can't pay $150 for a dinner and have to stop at a fast food place on the way home.

Olivia M.

Yelp
Hot Honey Pizza is gasoline!! Perfect crunch and spice level. Phone could not eat first

Monique W.

Yelp
This is a great place for date night. My husband and I went here for Valentine's Day and they had a special menu. This was the first time that I really loved gnocchi it was a sweet potato brown butter and gnocchi and I could bathe in it if they let me. Just straight Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory jump in their pot and stay there for the rest of my life it was amazing. The rest of the food was also delicious but that was the star. I would definitely come back and try more items.

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Stopped by on Thanksgiving to have some breakfast and we were blown away by the food, service, and ambiance.

Atticus F.

Yelp
Went there for breakfast as we were staying at the hotel. Servers didn't acknowledge our presence for 2 minutes. We were sat down after they realized we where there. Ordered OJ and coffee. OJ was $5 for tropicana. Banana's foster french toast was ordered and pictured, worst thing i've eaten at a restaurant. Banana was hard. Obviously frozen before hand, stale bread and no flavor. This place has alright ratings, don't go for breakfast. It is not good.

Sophie W.

Yelp
So perfect for our group of 7! The Burrata (not pictured) was delicious with fresh strawberries. Our waitress was very attentive and the fire behind the table provided the perfect setting. Will be back!

A J.

Yelp
Cute place with great service and a varied Italian menu. We started with the burrata, fingerling potatoes and brussel sprouts. The burrata was okay. Only came with two thick slices of toasted bread. So not sure if the menu is fit for sharing. The veggies surrounding the burrata were very pickled and the carrots were so very hard and lacked flavor. The potatoes and brussels were excellent. The mains were beautifully plated. The pizza even had its own wooden 3 legged stool. I opted for the Cacio e Pepe w/ salmon. This was my first time in a very long time having this dish and for my taste the pasta was too al dente. Like very firm. The flavor was good but needed more pepper and no one was walking around offering fresh ground pepper. My friends liked their meals and everyone said the pizza was delicious. We brought in a cake to celebrate a friends birthday. When I made the reservation I asked if this was okay. However they did not tell me there was a cake charge. $2 per slice. At first I was a little off guard and disappointed that when I asked for the cake to come early, the waiter did not bring it and my friend had to leave before the cake was served. The cake cutting/serving fee was worth it as the cake was perfectly sliced and plated. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and each other. Definitely will try again and probably stick with the pizza.

Yelp
I had lunch here a few days ago. It's a great place for a business lunch. If you arrive at 11:30, you can beat the crowd. I found the menu somewhat limited, with choices primarily being pizza, salads and sandwiches. The food was fine and service was excellent.

Yelp
I went to Angeline's for dinner for my birthday this year. When first walking into the restaurant, I really liked the ambience of the restaurant. Our waiter was very nice and helpful. The food was delicious! We started off with the whipped ricotta. It was sweet and savory and it is a must order. I really enjoyed the cacio e Pepe and my boyfriend said his pizza was great. I look forward to returning to Angeline's!

Yelp
I will get to the food portion of this review in a moment but I feel the need to begin by highlighting what an ABSOLUTE ROCKSTAR Malik at the bar is. Not only was he incredibly attentive to us, while also singlehandedly serving a bar of 20 people and the entire restaurant's drink tickets, but he also handled himself with poise and composure when, at level 10 volume, he was verbally accosted by an absurdly rude customer. So major kudos to you, Malik, for rolling with the (almost) punches there and thank you for making our dinner experience so wonderful. As for the actual restaurant/food, My boyfriend and I came here around 7:30 on a Sunday night. They unfortunately only had outdoor seating for reservation but we were pretty easily able to find a spot at the bar, where the full menu was served. Started with the strawberry fields, delish, as well as the whipped ricotta app, seriously cannot recommend enough. Finished with the prosciutto arugula pizza which was truthfully not my favorite, sort of bland, but we added some hot honey to add a little kick. All in all definitely would return...if for no other reason than to see our guy Malik!

Yelp
So I'll say this. The timing of when I went really affected the experience. We originally planned on going to another place but the vibes weren't fitting for the evening. lol. So we called ahead and asked if there was any wait or if you needed reservations. There was no wait and you didn't need reservations. We arrived 50 minutes before closing so we were pretty rushed. The rest of my party went in ahead of me while I struggled to find parking (street parking is scarce, and I paid $15 for a garage). But when I finally was inside and settled, it seemed like the waiter was not too attentive, I mean I get it, it was about to close. But after looking over the menu it was clear what I was going to order. The Caesar salad was just ok. It seemed like some of the romaine was soggy. The dressing was ok, and I would rather have full croutons than the crushed ones on the salad. But the pasta....was good! The Fra diavolo was robust, spicy, just full of flavor. There were mussels, lobster, and prawns. If I were to go again it would be earlier in the evening so we aren't as rushed.

Yelp
Ok, high end spot downtown Charlotte..... got me thinking I'm in Little Italy. The food is authentic and high quality. The bar is where we ate pepperoni/jalapeno and sausage pizzas. The crust is crispy, meats fresh, veggies crisp and sauce really good. Looking forward to my next visit.

Yelp
Everything was amazing! Even husband who balks at pricey pizza was impressed! Service was prompt and attentive. And food recommendations were on point!

Yelp
Service was incredibly attentive and professional. He had some great recommendations and clearly knew the menu well, they delivered customizations to our items as requested too which was amazing. The Brussels sprouts are some of the best I've had. Drinks and overall experience were amazing. Would recommend and will be back.

Yelp
Five of us went for brunch on a Saturday. The restaurant is very pretty inside and has a nice outside seating area. Our waitress was great. We had the whipped ricotta appetizer which was very good, my Bloody Mary was fine, and my friend's mimosa was small but fine. Everything else we had was just ok or meh. I don't think anything was seasoned properly it was all very bland. Our bill with tip was $180, we only had two drinks and everyone else had water. Not worth the money.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in uptown. Amazing ambiance as well as service. My favorite dish on their menu is the Cacio e Pepe.

Yelp
It was good, really expensive but good. The Brussels sprouts were fried to a crisps almost to the point of burnt but the rest of the meal with very good and the service was fantastic.
