Angelino's Donuts

I love this place. They have exactly what you would expect from a classic LA donut shop. The staff is super welcoming, kind, and fast. They will sometimes include free donuts in your purchase if you come later in the day. Also, they make incredible fresh sandwiches that I constantly crave. Probably half the price of what you’d get at other spots on sunset, but the same, if not better, quality and flavor.

Really great service and delicious donuts!! Owners were so nice to us and even gave us two free donuts to try as it was our first time. Definitely recommend.

Nice fluffy donuts. We got a glazed twist, a chocolate sprinkle, a cinnamon twist pastry, for small glazed croissants, and a ham cheese croissant. The twist and chocolate were nice and fluffy. The tiny croissants were cute but that's about it. The pastry reminded us of the cinnamon pretzel looking Christmas cookies. The ham and cheese was exactly what you look for in a good donut shop croissant; soft, buttery and hot.

Arrived on a Saturday at 12 p.m. The spot was closed.

The donuts here are so soft and fluffy, never dry. Fair prices at under $2 and the owner even throws in free donut holes! However some of the drinks are a little questionable, still a great place

Angelino’s is easily my favourite lunch spot in LA. The tuna and roast beef croissants are spot on, especially for the price. And the donuts are some of the best I’ve had. The service is always really friendly too. I’ll keep coming back for more!

Very kind people working here and the food was just was I wanted -- a home-cooked kind of vibe, simple, but delicious. Also tried one of their donuts for dessert and it still tasted fresh, even though it was noon. Highly recommend trying this spot out, esp if you're looking for a warm, low-key, home-cooked kind of meal with friendly service.

These were delicious donuts! We ordered for delivery so did not experience the shop but hope to soon. New favorite donut place!

Solid good place to get some cheap and great tasting doughnuts. Don't expect the croissants to be flaky and you won't be disappointed. They can certainly fill you up though. Free parking in the lot and the surrounding streets.

It's a family business, their food and drinks are always authentic and fresh, and the owners are friendly and kind. The lady always there, MARGARET is always happy to customize food and drinks out of the menu for me. The sandwich breakfast is always fresh and delicious! Love love their croissant! I always stop by here for small bites whenever before walk to the Echo Park. The Thai tea smoothie with boba along with other flavor tea are super yummy! One of the best boba drinks i can find in the area. I personally love this place, it's simple but authentic here, everything is made by the family themself, so feel free to ask them to add or customize your preferences! Oh, I always stop for a sip of their ice coffee on a hot day. Their iced coffee is one of the strong and good deal that you can find!

This is a fantastic little spot to chill and relax. Not too crazy with good price points on their food and drinks. Some of the hidden gems include their delicious breakfast burritos and strong coffee. Service is also super nice. Parking is a bit tight as it is all around here. Street parking is available too!

Absolute abhorrent customer service! When a customer walks into the store, the door sends a loud ring. The attendant saw me, I patiently waited for her to finish what she was doing (cleaning). I continued to wait, and wait. She continued to turn in my direction - said nothing. I waited 2 minutes and she did not say a word - not "I will be right with you", "one second", nothing. This place cares nothing about their customers, so if you ever feel like being mistreated or abused by a business, come on here. If you rather go to a place that appreciates your business, go elsewhere!

This place is THE BEST! They have all the regular stuff plus fresh juice, smoothies, really good sandwiches. The owners and crew are so incredibly nice and the vibes are good, warm, community, inter generational vibes. Located in the tiny non-gentrified island between Patra Burger and King liquor. Do ur self a favor and get an iced coffee too...they got the crushed ice

This is my favorite/the best donut shop in Los Angeles. The apple fritters are the best in LA end I've tried a BUNCH. Other donuts also good.

Food is ok. Ice cream is equally ok. Service was ok too. Feeling of Covid19 aware, fantastic. So, not bad, pretty ok. It's what you'd expect and a little better. Thanks for the plastic wall!!!

They have the best avocado burrito and Thai ice tea ever!!!!! And most importantly their great customer services. This is like a hidden gem, highly recommend!!!

Had the Robbie special breakfast sandwich! So good! Croissant hash brown eggs jalapeño bacon and some cheese. Very kind and friendly folks working there.

This place is great. A wide selection of donuts and pastries at really good prices. The sprinkle donut was one of the nicest I've tasted and I've eaten a lot of donuts! Sandwiches, smoothies and milkshakes also available. Very friendly, polite staff too.

I always come here for a last minute iced coffee and breakfast burrito. Sausage tasted a bit undercooked but other than that it hits the spot if you need a quick meal! :)

Have lived in echo park 10 years and never tried this place. Trying to support local during covid. Went in with my coffee cup as i was walking dog and owner or employee said "let me fill that up for you" - for free. Asked about what looked like a mini croissant and she gave me one, for free. Ordered the avocado omelet burrito and it was delicious. So glad i supported this spot because kindness wins and they were so cool and awesome! Ps i love yelp and helping support businesses that deserve praise and rely on reviews that are almost always spot on!

Their sandwiches are so good here, they once made me cry. The people working here are so friendly, that also made me cry once.

I love this place! It has becoming one of my favorite joints to grab breakfast before my morning runs/walks at echo park. It is conveniently close to my and on my way to the park. The people working here are extremely amiable in the mornings they put me in a good mood as soon as I enter the place. Everything I have tasted from this place is fresh and affordable. The ham, egg, cheese, bacon or just the place croissant is one of my favorite breakfast or anytime sandwich here. They have some of the breakfast sandwiches already made, but if you ask the lady or the guy in the front to make it fresh for you they'll do it without hesitations. Donuts in the mornings are still hot and everything fresh taste yummier! I definitely recommend this place if you want to start your days with a happy tummy.

Absolutely my favorite place to go in the am! The people are friendly. The donuts are awesome. The owner is terrific. It's the modern day "Cheers Bar" where everybody knows your name.

In a morning rush to get to Death Valley National Park, we decided to stop here for a quick grab n go breakfast. Judging from previous reviews and photos, the breakfast croissant looked promising. Being that this place is a bakery and how massively hard it is to screw up a croissant sandwich, I figured it would at least be fresh. Nope. All the sandwiches were shrink wrapped and surely more than a couple days old. They had undertones of soap and a strange bitter aftertaste. I couldn't even finish my sandwich and pretty much threw the rest away in fear of getting food poisoning. Also, the place looked pretty grimy and nothing really looked that fresh. I'm not sure who's rating this place 4 or 5 stars, but you guys are clearly bananas.

Best donuts in town (light and fresh) and incredibly friendly staff. The breakfast sandwiches are superb. Thai iced tea is perfect.

This bakery is a few steps away from the place where I sometimes get my hair done. I decided to give it a try based on the positive Yelp reviews. Their ice cream is merely Thrifty ice cream which is OK. I tried their strawberry and pineapple pastries which were also just OK. There was a blonde hipster in the bakery when I entered which was not OK. Minus one star for this LOL....just kidding.... They have cheap breakfast options. Parking is always an issue here but we always find a spot anyways. What could I do without here? The hipsters. What makes Angelino's Bakery stand out? Friendly service. Three stars, Angelino's Bakery is OK.

Delicious roast beef sandwich. Looking for some easy and quick breakfast i found Angelino's Donuts to have the the right breakfast combo for me (sandwich-coffee). Small place clean and comfortable. Cost friendly.

Awesome service and food! The two working, the older lady and a younger man, were very friendly and helpful. The food was made to order and quick. I ordered a lychee green tea and it was AMAZING just like the food! Highly recommend!

I LOVE ANGELINOS BAKERY! the couple that owns the place are just absolutely hands down the friendliest and sweetest people I have ever known. I go here for SO many things. Ice cream, to fax things, breakfast, sweets. theyre just the greatest people and deserve all of the business they can get!

As the "duke" of this establishment I declare Angelino's Bakery to be the best croissant I've ever had outside of France. There, I said it. I really don't come here for much else, save the occasional bottle of water or soft drink. It's all about the plain croissants here. I used to get the breakfast sandwich (with egg, ham, cheese and bacon) but then I found out they spread mayo all over the bottom of the sandwich. I think that's gross. It's a personal opinion though, you might like mayo on your breakfast sandwich. Also the chocolate chip cookies, when fresh, are good. If they sit out too long they get hard and you can forget 'em. The three (sometimes four) regular cashiers are all really affable, caring people. I've had plenty of conversations with the owner before about life in Cambodia and owning your own business (now two businesses, there's another bakery on York that he owns). I'll keep coming back here until they stop making their own croissants. I hope that day never comes.

I don't know what folks expect from a small corner mom & pop owned donut shop. People shouldn't be expecting five star patisserie style pastries and delicacies... This place is very well lit and very clean. The donuts are good for the price they sell it at AND they have thrifty ice cream! The coffee is great too! The couple that owns the restaurant are very nice people. They're cheerful Cambodian American folks who put their kids to college with this business. I'll come by every week just to buy a water bottle while I do my laundry next door because I want to support small, family-owned businesses. We need more businesses like THIS in Echo Park.

Has everything you want! Fresh donuts to delicious sandwiches, all for a great price. The sandwiches all come with avocado and very fresh. The lady here was very polite and courteous as well, much appreciated!

This is a cute, no frills little place that will probably have something you're craving, whether a turkey sandwich with sliced avocado, taro boba, or donuts with sprinkles. The food was good and well-priced, and the lady behind the counter was sweet.

Taro slush is bomb... I love the tuna sandwich. The people here are very friendly and the environment is clean and great in general. 10/10 would come back here again. Good mom and pop feel and their son is great too.

The smoothies are ok, the iced coffee is worth the $2, the place is a little shabby but I come in often and like to support the family. Open early and stays open late. You have to come in early to get the variety. My favorite chocolate croissants, not too much chocolate but enough to make it sweet-just have to get there before they sell out. Perfect place to drop in for a quick morning pick me up or late night sweet treat.

Donuts were pretty good. Echo Park is a little more in line with my preference. Had a bite of the ham n' cheese croissant which was tasty!

Don't get their shaved ice. I came in here on a whim and got excited when I saw that they have shaved ice. For 1.99 I decided to give it a try. See uploaded picture for the ensuing abomination I received. I wouldn't have taken that "shaved ice" if they had given it to me for free. I took one sip of the artificial cough syrup flavor and tossed it. The other items they have looked fine though, so I don't want to give them one star after trying only one thing. They need to be clued in on what shaved ice is or just take it off the menu. Wish I got the ice cream instead. :(

Cute family business but the air is stagnant and when you say "no mayo" five times the guy still gets confused and adds mayo. He's had to remake my sandwich two of the four times I've ordered one. At least it tastes good ehen he finally gets it right.

This review is a shout out to my all time favorite sandwich maker, a world class star, MY HERO. After slamming my delectable sandwich last night (and losing sleep over forgetting to tip the dude who changed my life) I owe a thorough review for this one-stop-shop-bakery. You can literally buy breakfast through dinner/dessert at this locally renowned bakery... and trust me, you'd be stoked if you did. The first sandwich I ate from here (also made by Wolfgang Puck 2.0) was what sucked me in, and the most recent one left me no choice but to write a review that is fit for a war vet. You like donuts? They got them. Bagel Sandwiches? You're in luck. Nachos anyone? Yes. Coffee.. sandwiches.. ice cream.. PASTRY GALORE. And of course, the croissants. Croissants the size of your freaking face. Flakey and buttery. Ugh goddamn delicious. As far as the service goes. Quick? Not so much. Reliable? More so than taxes and death. Keep your patience in check as they artfully craft their masterpieces created uniquely for every growling stomach. All your senses are touched. You can SEE the love. You can SMELL the love. You can TASTE the love. These hefty sammies are an affordable $5.50, and come in a variety of meats. This luxury vehicle of sandwiches comes stock with lettuce, tomato, cheese, mayo, mustard, pickles AND jalapeños, and avocado. WHAT?? No this is not some sick dream that you're going to wake up from and have to change your pants. This is real life, and your sandwich is loaded with that arsenal of goodness FO FREE. Now, to be fair, the atmosphere inside leaves something to be desired. I'd recommend taking your food to gooooo. Unless you like the feeling of being stuck in a twisted, catastrophic, Quentin Tarantino scene. Somethings a little off inside BUT I think there may actually have to be a maniacal criminal nearby on the loose to stop me from frequenting. It's that good. So this is a giant thank you to, you, awesome little Vietnamese man! You and your crew are of the elite, and our never-ending gratitude is extended your way as a token of appreciation for your greatness. Long live Angelino's!

Donuts were fine. Nothing special, but the chocolate milk was almost a week expired. Nothing like sour milk to wash down an almost good donut. Guy behind the counter was nice enough, but looks like he might need some extra help so little things like that don't slip through the cracks

Paul and Laura are sweet, kind people and have served me $2.00 (now $2.25) iced coffee with crushed iced for about 6 years. In a neighborhood that is rapidly changing they are a lovely constant.
