Trump Directs ICE to Pause Arrests at Restaurants, Farms, and Hotels | Eater LA

"In response to the enforcement efforts, the taqueria chain closed all of its locations across Los Angeles except for one in Anaheim, pausing much of its street-stand operation amid concerns for staff and customers." - Rebecca Roland

The 25 Best Tacos In Los Angeles

"If taco stands were judged the same way as baseball prospects, Angel’s Tijuana Tacos would be what coaches call a five-tool player. Not only does this taco stand with locations all over LA County excel in the art of juicy al pastor with a flick of pineapple, but they also serve smoky grilled asada and flavorful braised meats like cabeza. In fact, from the bright salsas to the pressed-to-order tortillas, we’ve yet to encounter anything Angel’s doesn’t do well (dry cleaning? tax services?). Even if you insist you’ve had better this or that at other taco spots, rarely can you find all of it in one place, never mind an operation that has locations stretching from North Hollywood to Long Beach. We're not Angels fans but we're Angel's fans, dig? " - sylvio martins, garrett snyder, brant cox, nikko duren

I'm like a food critic without the license, and I came from Alaska/Bakersfield and visiting LA for business and I've never heard of this place but heard a lot about it, what caught my attention was the crowd of people and I haven't eaten yet almost all day today, lol. I have massive high-quality taste buds for food and more on the menu to try out soon, Lord Willing. I randomly selected the tacos of Al Pastor, unions, cilantro and Guacamole and pineapple on top and to add all the sides they have out to choose from on the side table . Overall the customer service showed a lot of love and courtesy and warm welcoming. Forgive me for forgetting your names, but you know who you are, and you looked like the manager or supervisor. He was very well mannered and helpful throughout my time checking everything on the menu and he shown a lot of patience on allowing me to take my time to figure out what I wanted to order on the menu and helped me a lot on my order selections, everything tasted fresh and juicy and was very fulfilling with massive portions of the items I ordered that was nice and Hot and super tasty and flavorful and really nice light crunch testure. Thanking the people who helped me with my First Time Experience here. They also have condiments to get or ask for. I highly recommend them for when you're hungry or if you're in a hurry on your lunch break from work or family gatherings to eat outside or take home. Overall, keep up the good work everyone, they deserves a raise and a couple of new business shirts and hats and name tags. God Bless 🙏🏼

Google
Definitely a good spot to hit for the Al Pastor or Cabeza. The baked potato is more of a novelty and can definitely be avoided. Unless you have 6 people who are hungry enough to attack it. Would definitely recommend going if you're within 30minutes of the spot. If you liked my review please give me a thumbs up 👍🏾 to let me know! Follow me for more fun reviews. 🙏🏾

Google
Easily some of the best tacos i’ve ever had. The Asada and Chicken are amazing. The Al Pastor is really good too.

Google
Excellent place for authentic Tijuana tacos with handmade tortillas. Very yummy. I can’t go wrong with Al Pastor, and their Carne Asada is super yummy because they cook it over charcoal and you can taste the barbecue in it. Don’t miss out on the queso tacos, those are so bomb.

Google
The al pastor here is so so so good. I ordered a queso burrito with al pastor, beans, guacamole, mild salsa, and they added the pineapple pieces too. $13.50 but I paid with credit card which makes it $14.50 They work fairly fast. The first two women making tortillas and starting your food are not nice at all. But the next two guys assembling your food and slicing the al pastor are very friendly. The burrito is huge and can easily be shared between two people or split between two meals.

Google
Super tasty al pastor, asada was also great! Convenient NoHo location near Burbank, check the hours on instagram. It was open from 4 pm the day I went.

Google
The quality of their food and service makes me not want to go elsewhere. Handmade tortillas to begin your order with the option to add cheese. A lot of various meats for your appetite (Al Pastor is my favorite). Wash that down with some Aguas Frescas on deck and free condiments. I always get the Angels Potatoe with some of that holy meat (Al Pastor lol). Enjoy the pictures and videos

Best taco stand in town. Weren't there Monday night but it's really good! 😋

Yelp
Absolutely Incredible! I finally got to try Angels Tijuana Tacos in North Hollywood, and wow everything was beyond good. I ordered Angel's Potato, and it was a game-changer. It came fully loaded with carne asada, guacamole, green sauce, hot sauce, onions, and cilantro, plus a side of fresh tortillas. This thing is massive, easily enough to feed 2 or 3 people and every bite was packed with flavor. I also got three carne asada tacos, which were just as amazing. juicy, flavorful meat and fresh toppings. My sister ordered a burrito, my nephew went with chicken tacos, and my brother-in-law got the Vampiro tacos, which were huge and super satisfying. We were all blown away. The portions are generous, the quality is top-tier, and the flavors are seriously next level. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and check this place out. Angel's tacos is hands down my new go-to spot.

Yelp
Probably the best tacos on my trip. Pastor is crispy and flavorful, definitely recommend. Cabeza was hot and very tender, they came in bigger pieces than most other restaurants. Carne asada was fine - nothing super special. Service was quick. There were some folding tables available for use. Generally a casual, quick stop and go.

Yelp
Hands down the best tacos in SoCal--my family from Chicago still talks about them from their last visit! I've been coming here for years, and the quality has stayed consistently great. The agua frescas are a bit hit or miss, though. I recently ordered the pineapple one (not pictured), and it was more like a smoothie with all the pulp--not really what an agua fresca is. That said, I appreciate that they accept cards now without an upcharge. I've also seen on their social media that they're expanding with two new restaurant locations, which is exciting to see. It's a well-run business that deserves all the love it gets.

Yelp
Easily one of my favorite taco spots in LA. Angels Tijuana Tacos always delivers, flavor on point, portions generous, and the vibes are unmatched. I've had the tacos, burritos, and even the stuffed baked potato (so good) and everything hits every time. The service is quick and friendly, and the piña agua fresca? A must. Can't recommend it enough.
google avatar

Khanh N.

Yelp
Angel's Tijuana Tacos is located on the CVS corner of Vineland and Victory. They serve all sorts of food, from tacos, burritos, and especially, my favorite, potato. I believe their al pastor is the most popular. They also make their tortillas fresh. The service is quick, albeit there are long lines. Seating is about 3 plastic picnic tables.
google avatar

Vanessa O.

Yelp
Be CAREFULL al pastor here is sometimes RAW. ive had multiple instances where i come home and meat has been raw.
google avatar

Cindy L.

Yelp
This was my first time trying Angel's Tijuana tacos knows for their freshly made Al pastor tacos and they were phenomenal. This is the best Al pastor taco I've had so far. At 2.65 a taco, at first I thought it was a it pricey for a taco but the tortilla is bigger and they are super generous on the meat. When I took my first bite it was oozing juice. I loved how the Al pastor was Smokey and slightly crispy from the char with a hint of sweetness from the pineapple making it the perfect bite with their freshly made tortillas. I'll definitely be back to try the other items like the Mulita or quesadilla.
google avatar

Yelp
Listen, you either like these tacos or you don't! You cant be taking the word of all these 1-uppers talking about: oh, I know a better spot. Oh, I know a cheaper spot. Oh, I know a spot with better salsa, this n that, that n this. You wanna believe a yelper who just gave 5 stars to the Cheesecake Factory be my guest. It's in the name & they're Tijuana style. Means you're gonna get handmade tortillas & a Nike swoosh of guacamole salsa per taco. Get in line, cause it's worth it. PS - if you're ordering anything other than the tacos al pastor, you're doing it wrong. That is the star of the show! Your Homegirl, Violy

Yelp
Best tacos - hands down! Wonderful experience - the folks here know how to do it right. Homemade corn tortillas made in front of you while you're waiting. Hand shaved Al pastor (pork) with a slice of pineapple. Home made salsas. Asada and chicken charcoal roasted in front of you. Hand crafted agua frescas icy cold and refreshing. Giant baked potatoes stuffed with the Al pastor. Portions are huge and the prices are excellent. Be patient - the line was long but these folks are fast!
google avatar

Manuk D.

Yelp
Ok so where do I begin. We got the baked potato with steak and guacamole and man I'm telling you it was absolutely amazing. From the potato, to the steak to the guacamole all the flavors combined work so perfectly. We also got the pastor burrito and that was also delicious. Their flavors are really good and they do not skimp out the size and amount of food they give. The people working there are fun and keep the customers happy. The only thing is the wait depending on what time of the day that you go but it can get pretty hectic, however it is well worth it always. Trust me and go here.
google avatar

Yelp
Very impressed with Angel's Tijuana Tacos! We randomly discovered this place while driving to a Target in North Hollywood. Located at the intersection of Vineland and Victory (on the corner where CVS is), this place is the real deal. Featuring fresh, handmade tortillas, high quality meats, and generous portions, these are some of the best street tacos I've ever had. I highly, highly recommend the Al Pastor. Currently priced at $2.75 per taco (regardless of meat choice), the price point is affordable. The line can get pretty long, but moves quickly. Service is nice and efficient. I will definitely be back soon for more!

Yelp
Angels Tacos is hands down serving the BEST TACOS I HAVE EVER HAD -- and trust me, I'm a huge taco connoisseur. I'm not new to this, I'm true to this... and these tacos absolutely blew me away. Their queso tacos are next-level: they throw the cheese straight on the grill, lay the corn tortilla into it, flip it perfectly, and then pile on their insanely flavorful asada and toppings. Pure art. The salsa? Life changing. I mean that -- it's bold, it's fresh, it's addicting. The asada is incredibly seasoned -- you can taste the love and skill in every bite. Honestly, I need to know where they buy their meat because it's that good. The loaded fries with asada... Jesus H. -- I could easily demolish an entire tray solo. No shame. Now, fair warning: the line can get long, and there can be a wait because they're making everything fresh -- but it is 100% worth it. Every single bite is made with real care, and you can taste the difference. I'm serious when I say Angels Tacos will be hired by me one day -- that's how deep my obsession runs. If you love tacos and haven't been here yet, fix that immediately. You'll thank me later.

Yelp
This place is soo good. The food is on point. You can taste the quality of ingredients that they use. Everything is fresh and the tortilla are amazing It smells so good from a block away... believe me.. I live a block away. The service is fast and it is what you would expect from a street vendor location. I felt a little overwhelmed the first time I went here because I wasn't sure what I wanted to order and when its your turn to order, they don't play around. Pro Tip: Be prepared by the time it's your turn. I will be returning!!! Enjoy!!! #jsho @jshoeats

Yelp
Delicious asada, but the Al Pastor is amazing. Everything is fresh and the quality is evident!
google avatar

Sara K.

Yelp
I didn't know what to expect from a taco stand on the corner of a north Hollywood street, but it exceeded my expectations and beyond. The Al pastor is perfectly cooked and feels safe to eat off the street with a wild flame burning so bright on the big wheel of meat. The Al pastor is great on tacos and burritos. Otherwise they have one of the best steak burritos in town too. Always a long line on the weekends and cool to see the ladies making fresh tortillas every time.
google avatar

Porter W.

Yelp
Very good tacos, love the pastor.(the asada is hit or miss tbh) Always the same people working. They don't skimp on the meat that's for sure. Not very bad priced either.
google avatar

Nathan L.

Yelp
Probably THE best street tacos I ever had, period. As someone who's not from LA, I think about Angel's very often and get sad cause they're so close yet so far away at the same time! "Estillo Tijuana Tacos" is their trademark, and that's enough said because the food speaks for itself. Went to their North Hollywood taco stand that's located on Victory Blvd. On the Tuesday evening that I went, which was around 8pm, it wasn't busy at all. I probably had to wait behind one other person in line, but the service was super quick. So I knew these guys were going to be legit when they had the meat being cooked with the trompo right in front when you order. Oh my lanta, so getting to the tacos... I remember the tortillas were so warm and made fresh, the meat had that delicious charred flavor that comes from carne asada, and the salsa.. Probably one of the best salsas I ever had as well from any taco stand/street vendor. Overall, Angel's got that true, LA street culture embedded in them which is why I think they're unmatched. I forgot to mention the tacos were affordable, decent prices too so you can't ever go wrong with that. I love how there's many locations, too, throughout SoCal. They're active on their Instagram account and posts the locations that are open almost daily.
google avatar

Clarice T.

Yelp
I can be a cheap date and I love some delicious street tacos! Their mulitas are huge; almost looks like a quesadilla! The kids enjoyed their mulitas! We all enjoyed our food here. Plus the guy in charge of the Al pastor has some showmanship. The wait wasn't bad with him showing off his slicing catching skills.
google avatar

Kendis C.

Yelp
So good, it can be addictive! The tacos are just amazing, with plenty of tasty beef that's spiced just right and they have a wonderful variety of of things to order. They have lots of side goodies like radish slices to go with it all if you want them. Everything is clean and nice and the servers are friendly. There's plenty of parking to be found. This place is worth going to.
google avatar

Celine K.

Yelp
freshly made tortillas, extremely flavorful meats, toppings were great. the lemon agua fresca with cucumber and strawberry was so refreshing. i liked how they had both flour and corn tortillas. my favorite stand so far!
google avatar

Jonny S.

Yelp
This taco spot was recommended by a coworker and she claimed this was the best al pastor! As a self proclaimed al pastor addict I couldn't wait to give it a try. The verdict: yumazing! The pastor was roasting on a spit with a pineapple on top, the juices were gently cascading over it. I ordered a pastor burrito with everything and a pastor taco and they were very delicious! The ambiance is a super basic setup but the food made me forget I was eating on the streets of Noho. The service was good and the folks were very nice. I would definitely go back. Next time I'll post pics!!
google avatar

Zovig B.

Yelp
Delicious meats and salsa, but also a surprise was the AMAZING lemonade!! If you want a meal, quick taco snack or a refreshing lemonade and are around Victory and Vineland stop here! Parking/payment is also very easy!

Jessica Cruz ..

Yelp
Came here and ordered a torta and two quesadillas. Food was good but costumer service was horrible. I asked for a tortilla and one of the ladies left me standing there as if I did something wrong. After ignoring me, one of the guys asked me what I needed and I said a tortilla, he seemed confused since the tortillas where sitting right in front of the lady. Then, charged me 1.75 for just one tortilla. I understand if they need to charge but that doesn't excuse their rude behavior.
google avatar

Rodney F.

Yelp
My weekly taco spot! Absolutely love the Pastor cut fresh off the Trompo! The flavor is amazing and the best pastor street tacos in the area. They make fresh tortillas right in front of you. Typical toppings include onions, cilantro, guacamole, & salsa but you can specify whatever you want. They serve Burritos, Mulitas and potatoes as well as a few other options I can't remember right now. Located on the corner of Victory/Vineland in front of CVS they are usually open from 4:30pm- 11:30ish and closed on Mondays. They take credit ($2 fee) or cash. Must try if you haven't had them before.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious TJ Tacos in LA From my experience, street vendors and casual taco shops have always served better Mexican food than sit-down restaurants. Angel's TJ Tacos is the perfect quick stop for a delicious bite. Serving fresh tortillas, generous portions, and an abundance of sides and toppings, you can't go wrong with this vendor. Because there's limited seating beside the stand, many customers eat in their cars. Although I've had better in San Diego, I can count on this spot when in LA. I hope to visit more of their locations!
google avatar

Mario S.

Yelp
The quality of their food and service makes me not want to go elsewhere. Handmade tortillas to begin your order with the option to add cheese. There are a lot of various meats for your appetite (Al Pastor is my favorite). Wash that down with some Aguas Frescas on deck and free condiments. I always get the Angels Potatoe with some of that holy meat (Al Pastor, lol). Last but not least, the ambiance is really nice. Good music, good customer service, and good food. Enjoy the pictures
google avatar

Trisha C.

Yelp
If you like TJ style tacos, this is the place to go. The food is delicious and very affordable. It's hard to find $2.50 tacos in LA. I love that they don't skimp on the meat. The pics prove it. If you get the Angel potatoes, it can literally feed you for a few meals. The agua frescas are also bomb. I had the passion fruit and they use real passion fruit. Really reminding me of the ones in Mexico. I do recommend paying with cash because it's an additional $2 charge if you pay by card. Also check their IG because the hours and location can change depending on the weather, holiday, etc. since it is just a pop up stand. It is take out only so just be ready to eat in your car, if you want to eat it fresh.
google avatar

Liz M.

Yelp
Saw they were coming to Santa Clarita so I knew I had to go. I'm originally from SFV so it's difficult to find tacos that compare to the ones from the valley unless I travel to the 818. Arrived at What the Truck and already saw the line for this place but that was already expected. My go to order 2 pastor and 2 asada. Today I ordered cabeza & I'll definitely order that again, as it was tender and juicy. Ordered an al pastor all meat burrito for the SO which was also enjoyed.

J P.

Yelp
google avatar

Anthony A.

Yelp
Best street tacos on this side of the Valley !!!! Im an OG angel's taco customer. I have been going for years when they first started near vineland. This is as close as you can get to the TJ taco experience while living in the valley. The asada is my favorite, and i love the guacamole and salsas. I just wish they had a real keto taco available with a real keto tortilla
google avatar

Jun I.

Yelp
This is it. Taco nirvana. I have been through various iterations of this food item but was misled. This is the tacos i have searched for.. get the cheese taco al pastor con todo. Thats it. End of story
google avatar

Khiet E.

Yelp
Asada tacos were good, the grilled onions were delicious and the grilled jalapenos were spicy. $2.50 a taco is a perfect price for some street tacos. My only thing is that the tortilla was just okay.
google avatar

Chloe K.

Yelp
hands down best tacos ive tried in la so far, so good and yumz, service is fast and there wasn't much of a line which we were all so happy abt, u just eat on the streets or ur car ! coming backkkk asap

Yelp
Not gon lie.... I was disappointed in my meal. This place use to do wonders for me and I always had a great experience when it came to taste and flavors. Service was good and they treated me right.... But my pastor/asada quesadilla let me down. Usually I would never complain about an overload on meat.... But it was way too much for a quesadilla. My tortilla was completely soggy by the time I bite into it and to top it off the meat was ehhhh. A lot of fatty pieces and personally I don't feel the flavors were there. More cheese and less meat could have potentially made a difference and in this case, less is more. BUT the mixture of my piná/strawberry + cucumber agua fresca without a doubt put a smile on my taste buds. Refreshing and flavorsome! I may be back.... But it won't be for a quesadillas.
google avatar

Robin S.

Yelp
Angel's tacos did not disappoint! Their Al Pastor is absolutely mind-blowing delicious! Pork has a nice balance of smokiness with meat and fat ratio. A pretty big portion for a street taco, but they are just as good the next day.

Karla C.

Yelp
Tienen mal servicio al cliente son Descaradas y malmorosas uno esta conprando no pidiendo nada gratis
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
Incredible flavor best tacos around cannot go wrong! Always a must have when around! Do not hesitate to go!
google avatar

Zachary L.

Yelp
The best street tacos in LA.!! The queso tacos are great, but the queso burrito al pastor is my favorite

Sara S.

Yelp
Been here twice. Both times the meat was so burnt the only saving grace that makes it edible is the guacamole. Don't know how this place has such good reviews. If you want good tacos there's a stand across the street next to target that is much better. Only tried this place because that one was closed. Never again
google avatar

Mary K.

Yelp
amazing street tacos!! HIGHLY recommend. They have so many options and make the tortillas fresh right there. My favorite is the Al Pastor tacos. very affordable too. You def get full coming here. They also offering toppings and sides for free including some grilled onions and jalapenos. bring cash / (extra % charge for card). I recommend eating it fresh because it tastes so much better.
google avatar

Ruben M.

Yelp
Passing By the Spot (Angel's Tacos) T.J. Style Tacos Still Very Good and Still Hand Made Tortillas! *park in the C.V.S. Or 99 cent store Lot!
google avatar

Erick M.

Yelp
They have a few stands here in the SFV, all have the same great quality for the price. My tacos combo is 2 pastor, 2 chorizo and 2 cabeza. Thank me later and the veggie bar helps to fill up when on a budget. The pastor tacos have the most meat fyi.
google avatar

Adriel P.

Yelp
google avatar

Adam C.

Yelp
Been coming here since they before the last move and I still am 3 mins from them. They give you so much food so order what you want and I promise it will be enough. Everything is perfect. I ONLY COME HERE though when I have sour cream. I'm lazy so I won't go buy it but I can think of dozens of times I've made it as far as the lot and remember I don't have sour cream and go somewhere else. Because I'm an OG here and you can sell it east we $1 side is sour cream. I'll be there 3x a week if you guys start carrying sour cream. Yunmmmmy. Everything is good. I don't like any pastor but I tried. Still don't but everyone loves it and the other carne is amazing. I always get pollo y bistec. Yummy. Ambiance is good too. I feel like I'm in Mexico when I'm there. :) Thanks guys. People there are amazing.

Ben L.

Yelp
This is my favorite street taco experience. They prepare the tortillas right in front of you so you know it's fresh! Their Al Pastor is incredible and I love their reasonable prices and quality ingredients. A must visit every time I am in LA

Ben C.

Yelp
Quality has gone downhill FAST. Used to frequent Angels NOHO all the time, but will never come back until something is done. If a place can't get the basics down, they don't deserve to be in business. This is a health hazard.
google avatar

Logan S.

Yelp
I ordered a queso-burrito with asada for just $10! The prices here are outstanding and the food itself is quite tasty too. The burrito was a good size and the meat was flavorful, with the strong ranchero char that you want from any asada. I will definitely return to this little taco stand on the corner of Victory and Vineland!

I I.

Yelp
Best tacos, burritos and Horchata in town. Everybody is very friendly and they know what they are doing. Highly recommend

Braeden C.

Yelp
These fellas know how to make a mean burrito at a real nice price. Gotta love that fresh masa and generous portion size
