Summit the Roof bar is opening at the Conrad in CityCenter | Eater DC

"I read that Estuary, the modern Chesapeake restaurant and bar from the Voltaggio brothers on the third floor, gained attention for its open kitchen featuring Top Chef alumni working at a Ferrari-red Molteni stove and for inventive dishes such as Maryland crab rolls served with crab-spiced plantain chips, avocado confit, and a pastrami made from sous-vide cuts of lamb; the restaurant recently started serving brunch and is not affiliated with Summit, though it shares at least one menu item (cured Surryano ham from Edwards Virginia Smokehouse)." - Gabe Hiatt

The trail was well-maintained, clean, and not muddy at all. We and our dogs had a wonderful time.

Google
Parking is great Center is great and clean Kayak launch spot is great Getting to the kayak launch spot is 1/5 stars Took my kids to kayak and we had to walk the boats down a steep road/trail to the water. It is not kid friendly if you have your own boats. Shame they don't let you drive down to the bottom to drop off boats at the water. If you're using their kayaks it is fine, but not a good public launch.

We came here as a family to see the animals in the nature center being fed. This is a nicely maintained nature center on a marshy area. Although the creek is named the otter creek, the otters are elusive, so we didn't see any. The staff at the nature center was very nice and informative. Our kids liked seeing all the animals up close and watching them feed. We came from Carroll county, so it was a bit of a hike but a nice day trip.

Great trail, very scenic. A few spots have stairs but they aren't overly steep.

I went with my wife and 6 year old. The hiking trails are well marked with benches spread throughout. There are trail maps available at the main building to help guide people. My only complaint is there are no trash bins on the trails. There was a decent amount of litter along the paths that I walked, and while I don't mind picking up some other person's trash, there wasn't anywhere to put it. Make sure you take a backpack or bag.

The estuary is great place to visit for family or just for fun, you can relax on the trail in the woods or you can check the turtles and snake that they have in the estuary.

I love this place! The critter dinner times are so cool. And they have a lovely nature "playground" with chairs and musical instruments made from wood. Lovely views of the creek and programs for all ages! And walking trails.

Google
a beautiful little discovery for me. this was my first visit here, and i was completely impressed with the network of cute and simple trails that are close to the water.

Yelp
Very nice. With education inserted along the trails. The trail is gorgeous and well kept. The estuary center is pretty, lots to learn and see. I can't believe this place is around the corner from me and I've never come here before. I wish I had known about this when the kids were little! I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Was in the neighborhood with my partner & her dog & decided to go for a little walk & check this out. It's a great place to go for a little walk by the water & maybe teach your children something about the environment. They have some musically instruments set up as well as a few areas to sit & relax. You can also rent a boat if you want I get out on the water, check out their website for more information on that.

Yelp
I was bored this weekend and looking for something cheap (or free lol) to do. I looked up trails in my area and decided to give this one a try. The trail is gorgeous and well kept. The estuary center is great - lots to learn and see. I can't believe this place is around the corner from me and I've never come here before. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
a good length of a trail for a quick & easy hike by yourself or with your dogs. some spots are kind of steep but the trail seems well-maintained so it's not hard to stay on it. we have not tried kayaking from here but there is a rental area to the left of the visitor center. ample parking by the visitor center and there is unofficial parking right on pulaski highway for those who just want to fish or sit by the dock and forgo the hiking.

Yelp
I love this trail! Very well maintained and next to a large paved parking lot. Lots of cool things to see like trees, mushrooms, and if you are lucky a turtle or two. There is a cute little play area for kids. Very beautiful and full of life but at the same time very peaceful and relaxing.

Yelp
What a cool place! We stopped here to find the geocaches on their hiking trails. They have a beautiful trail, and it was awesome to have some of the trees marked with species names here and there because we liked learning a few of them along the way. The cute natural materials playground for kids was also a hit- although my husband and I don't have kids yet, we loved sitting on the wooden slug! We also really enjoyed the friendly terrapin in the room upstairs, and as an environmental scientist, I loved the elaborate rain gardens in the parking lot. We'll be back, for sure!

Yelp
Nice and interesting park to visit. There are lots of birds. There are paths through the woods I haven't explored yet.
