"The perpetually-packed BYOB Anjelica’s draws crowds seeking some of the Shore’s freshest Italian. The menu brings in more traditional dishes than the classic red sauce joint, like cacio e pepe or pork-stuffed fried olives. Those lucky enough to snag an outdoor table in the charming alley will feel transported to Europe, and beach pros know you can pre-order sandwiches and salads for an Italian-inspired picnic." - Marion Brewer

"There are more red sauce joints along the Jersey Shore than the beach has sand. Anjelica’s Restaurant isn’t just the best at the Shore—it might be the best along the entire Eastern Seaboard. Reservations may seem impossible, but it’s worth checking constantly to secure one, even if you have to get a table in their outdoor alley (which is actually the best place to sit). When you do, settle in for a meal with incredible and attentive service. Plates of orecchiette in a spicy vodka sauce, caramelle in lemon cream, and mafaldine al ragu can go toe-to-toe with most spots just a few nautical miles north (within the five boroughs). And the rotating entrees, like the veal saltimbocca, are an equally important part of the meal—even if you already feel like you’ve hit capacity. And always save room for some cannoli or one of their many housemade desserts.  " - michael sinatra

"Anjelica’s Restaurant isn’t just slinging the best pasta on the Shore, it’s one of the best along the entire Eastern Seaboard. Reservations may seem impossible to score at this downtown Sea Bright BYO, but it’s worth checking time and time again to secure one. When you finally get in, the tuna carpaccio and stuffed langoustines are the perfect way to start your meal, before ordering a few housemade pastas like orecchiette in a spicy vodka sauce, caramelle in lemon cream, and mafaldine al ragu. Entrees like veal saltimbocca and homemade desserts and pastries like cannolis made from anise pizzelle are an equally important part of the meal—even if you already feel like you’ve hit capacity. If there are no reservations available while you’re in town, make sure to check out the Italian street food offered throughout the day in the outdoor paninoteca located in the adjoining alleyway." - Michael Sinatra

"There are more red sauce joints along the Jersey Shore than the beach has sand. Finding the right one sometimes feels like an impossible task, but look no further because Anjelica’s Restaurant isn’t just the best at the Shore, it might be the best along the entire Eastern Seaboard. Reservations may seem impossible at this downtown Sea Bright BYO that sits directly across the street from the beach - but believe us, it’s worth checking time and time again to secure one. When you do, settle in for an incredible and attentive service experience and an enormous meal that offers a perfect mix of land, sea, and mountains of pasta. The tuna carpaccio is the perfect way to ease into a wide selection of appetizers. House-made pastas such as orecchiette in a spicy vodka sauce, caramelle in lemon cream, and mafaldine al ragu are formidable opponents for recognizable options offered just a few nautical miles north within the five boroughs. The entrees, such as the veal saltimbocca, are an equally important part of the meal - even if you already feel like you’ve hit capacity. And, yes, you’ll have to find a way to leave some space for one of their seemingly endless options for homemade desserts and pastries, including variations of Italian favorites - like cannoli with a shell made from anise pizzelle, filled with light cream and coated in pistachios. Don’t worry, you’ll be ready to eat again a week later. And if there are no reservations available while you’re in town, check out the Italian street food offered throughout the day in the outdoor paninoteca located in the adjoining alleyway." - Michael Sinatra

We made reservations a few weeks before by going in person to the restaurant. Shortly after we arrive it started raining and was very windy outside to the point that the restaurant lost power for a few minutes. We did not mind it. The atmosphere was great and the service was beyond expectation. Everyone was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and worth the price. We love the pork meatballs and lamb. The owner came to our table and greeted us. Overall we had a great time and would definitely be back.

Delicious food! We came here for lunch because I heard it was Theresa from the golden bachelor favorite restaurant. So obviously I had to drag my husband and even he was impressed and that’s not easy to do. The atmosphere was amazing we felt like we were in Italy! It’s BYOB so we stopped at the liquor store a couple doors down for a bottle of wine first!

Snagged a last minute reservation at Angelicas and this place really does live up to the hype! Everything was top tier. We sat in the alley way and it looked like we were in Italy. I got the spicy vodka orecchiette and my mom got the Sol special. The spicy vodka was my favorite pasta dish i ever had and my mom said the Sol was cooked to perfection! Try this place out!

This place is very pretty, especially at night with the light strings outside (actually, in-between the buildings). The wait staff are wonderful, very friendly, and extremely attentive. The place was very clean and updated all the way. The food was.... ok. Not bad, but not spectacular. I'm sure they're consistent and detail orientated with plating, so if you send up loving the food you're in luck if you live close by. For me, I enjoyed visiting once, but don't need to fight for a reservation again. The halibut special was pretty and filling, but was lacking something special. I felt like I could have made it at home. My husband wasn't very hungry and was just tagging along, so he ordered the eggplant appetizer. It wasn't bad, but it was very thin and was only 4 slices for $24. Again, it didn't taste bad, but it seemed unreasonably overpriced. I'm also a dessert lover, so I was disappointed they only had Gelato available. It wasn't their fault, but I would have loved some Italian dessert options if they had more than ice cream. Overall, it's worth one trip to decide for yourself if you like the place.

Can see why it’s so hard to get a table. Fantastic food. Wow. Everything made to order and very fresh. The best italian I’ve had in NJ. The only thing, please NO MORE signing for bdays. I swear if the 15 tables 10 were sung happy bday to. It was like Chucky Cheese. No hyperbole. Thought I was in a Larry David Episode. Also, had to keep asking waiter to get me another Diet Coke (he didn’t notice the empty glass? They serve mini bottles, wish they would serve non-children sized bottles.

Food was great! Worth the hype! Ordered the caesar, cacio e pepe, ravioli and the tiramisu. Very filling and tasty. No complaints whatsoever. Carlos and service attendants were great and attentive throughout. Will be back again soon!

It's BYOB, so don't forget a bottle of wine. The stuffed olives are amazing. The meatballs, good, the only reason I say not great is because I like beef or a mix of beef and pork. My date however said I'm crazy and they were amazing, so that's just my preference. The ravioli was delicious, pasta was cooked al dente and the cheese filling was delicious. The staff was accommodating and offered help and responded well to any questions we had. My only thing that threw us off a little was walking in the door in a packed resturant, we weren't sure on who to talk to about seating, so it was a quick minute of standing in the busy door way trying to figure out what was going on before we had been approached for seating. To the gentleman's defense he had been speaking with another customer. Aside from that, the experience was excellent, and I would love to return for another meal.

The service at Angelica's was exceptional. Each dish was better than the last. Highly recommend.
