Annesso Pizzeria

We tried Annesso Pizzeria for the first time and absolutely loved it! We ordered the scampi pizza and the jalapeño & pepperoni pizza, both were so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The mozzarella sticks and fries were the perfect appetizers, and everything came out hot and fresh. We also had lattes and a Mexican Squirt, and the drinks were really good! It was our first time here but definitely not the last. Highly recommend if you’re looking for delicious food and great vibes!

Sat at the bar and started with the sprouted cauliflower. Nicely light fried with dipping sauce. Americano pizza was wonderful! So many different flavors that all worked well together!

Food was awesome. Pizza is a solid thin crust. The meat ball sandwich was delicious. The bread it came on was soft in the middle and crunchy on the sides. We also ordered the Parm fries, and they were amazing. Nice and crispy with lots of flavor. Service was good and they didn’t leave you waiting for a long time. I did reserve a table before we left which was nice to sit right now when we got there.

Delicious, everything is fresh. The chicken pesto sandwich bread is warm soft and buttery. The parm fries are so delicious and the cauliflower is so crunchy tender and flavorful. I love the espresso Martini but I could not finish it because it is a little on the sweet side but that is personal preference. Services absolutely amazing. I do recommend trying this place everything on the menu is worth trying.

Great place/atmosphere/ambiance, great cocktails. Recommended making reservations or plan to wait for quite some time. Getting a spot at the bar is also a good option but still quite a wait since it’s first come, first serve.

Very busy come early or call ahead! But, once you get done spending 10 minutes looking for parking and navigating through the massive lunch crowd. You will be rewarded with delicious for. Beware it's a lot of food. I recommend sharing a plate. Enjoy! P.s., great bar

(Fries are extremely good) now with that out of the way I need a disclaimer i will sound vastly negative but this food is good just hear me out. The line here is LONG there's a lot of people that like this place! To each their own but I simply feel like for the wait of this pizza and pasta it should be better and that is my hot take. It's still good! Maybe it's just me (seriously try the fries at least it is vastly different compared to other spots and extremely amazing)[if the fries in the picture looks small we simply ate too much before I remembered to take a photo]

Went for early light dinner at the bar at Annesso in Fresno. It was a good experience. Start with the Parm fries - dusted with delicious Parm.Their standout meatball appetizer, is rich and satisfying. The summer burrata with watermelon and tomato is an absolute triumph, offering a refreshing and innovative combination that's beautifully complemented by their perfect pizza dough bread. Paired with a chilled glass of Soave Classico, it's a truly outstanding culinary moment. Annesso is a must-visit for anyone seeking casual but excellent Italian fare in Fresno.

We visited the other day for a quick lunch and we were very happy to be accommodated without a reservation. Out server, Katelyn made us feel welcomed and right at home. She answered all of our questions and made sure everything was perfect. She made our experience worth while and we will definitely be back. The food was absolutely delicious but the drinks did take a little longer than expected but overall still a wonderful experience.

So here's what happened. I ordered for a delivery online. The order went through toast which assigned an Ubereats driver to my order. My place is hard too find and the Ubereats driver just gave up... did not deliver our order. My wife called Annesso. They re-fired our order and sent THEIR OWN RESTAURANT EMPLOYEE to deliver the order. This restaurant does NOT normally do delivery without Uber,DoorDash,etc. The food was probably fresher than it would have been with some other delivery service. This is first class customer service on the part of the restaurant! Five stars!

Amazing Pizza, I had take out of 1) Pizza Funghi - amazing melody of thinly sliced Mitakke, crimini? And other mushrooms brought together with truffle oil- amazing blend 2) Ordered a shrimp scampi, got half of a Cacio e Pepe (on mistake) - which was thick, cheesy and delightfully black peppery To the above mistake, manager was very gracious and offered a refund. When I went inside to pick up my pizza, I saw the place and a great seating and nice view of the open kitchen. Will be back to dine in sometime

Food: depends on what you order. My daughter's pizza was burned, however my chicken parm was cooked well as well as my wife's soup and my sons pizza Service: awful. We waited a long time to be served, then once served my son's pizza order was not placed with the rest of ours and came very late. Further, our server seemed very distracted. Ambiance: loud! The entire evening was loud making it difficult to talk with my family. We won't be back.

So this actually seems genuinely Italian! They offer you flat or sparkling water. Just like in Italy! The pizzas are fairly flat and crispy crust. Just like in Rome. They let you linger. Just like European meals. Service was good. It was a bit loud. They have a full bar. Our group had salads, pizza and pasta. Everyone was happy.

Absolutely delicious pizza! The atmosphere is relaxed with a warm modern feeling. Staff are friendly and service speed was good, considering how fresh every dish is. The parm fries are absolutely fantastic with a little hidden heat in each bit (sooooooo good!). I absolutely recommend making a reservation, this restaurant was busy the whole time, we made a reservation just for us three and it was necessary. There is a bar and seating for that is probably open but it is limited. I definitely recommend checking this pizzeria out, you won't be disappointed.

It's like a fancy casual expensive pizzeria you go to get drinks, hangout, and pay for overpriced pizza. Pretty easy to get a table though it gets pretty popular in that plaza and it's all table service. Though the pizza was pretty good, I wasn't expecting to pay so much for pizza. Might come back if I'm feeling fancy

Great food and an awesome experience! We had a small issue with our order, but the staff was super kind and offered us free food to make up for the delay. The jalapeño pepperoni pizza was delicious definitely a must-try! The restaurant can get pretty busy during peak hours, and the waitlist can be long, but there's plenty of parking.

Excellent pizza in Fresno! One of the best meals of this road trip. Great atmosphere - felt like a nice local date spot and friendly service! I'd definitely keep it in mind in the future if I'm up this way again.

They completely overshadowed the fresh taste of the lettuce and the other ingredients. The restaurant had a great ambience, but it was a bit loud. Will come back.

Here in Fresno frequently for work and I've tried a bunch of restaurants in the city. Annesso is hands down in the top restaurants in Fresno 100%. Service was incredible and very friendly and attentive. Had a clean modern vibe to the restaurant while maintaining a homey and warm feeling. The food. Phenomenal. 10/10 on taste, texture, portion, ingredients, everything. Had the malfadine pasta and pepperoni pizza and the quality is unbeatable. Will definitely come back!

Always great food and drinks! Truly enjoy happy hour here and always our go to! I usually order their fresh pasta which is consistently good.

I strongly recommend you making reservations due to they fill up quickly and if you walk in, you're gonna be waiting a while. This New Yorker has been looking for some great pizza here in Central Valley and I was told by friends and colleagues to try out Annesso. Once we arrived, we were seated right away to our reserve table. Our name was Sam and she did a superb job waiting on the table, assisting us through the whole dining experience. The restaurant was clean inside and outside. The vibe was good. My family and I enjoyed the food that was barely any leftovers. I asked my mom how was it?, She gave her she said OMG. I ordered the meatball polenta and it was delicious and every savory bite. I Highly recommend that you stopped by Annesso for some savory food. Check out the photos attached to this review.

Despite having a reservation we still waited 10-15 min! That's how busy this place is, and I understand why. Very good customer service, fast once you order your food! We loved the drinks and mozzarella sticks. Then the salad came out and I've never had spicy Caesar before. This is a must order! Finally the golden tomato pizza was so delicious. I even loved the crust which is rare for me. The restaurant was very loud but it makes sense considering how many people want to be in here!

Great place but could be better. On my recent trip I had New York style pizza and it was cheaper than here. That pizza was top notch. I was looking for something reminiscent of that New York style pizza and this missed the mark. I did like what I ordered which was the parm fries, pepperoni pizza, Funghi Misti pizza, and the Spuntino which was an anti pasta appetizer. I think what they need is a brick oven and that would put this place over the top. It's missing that taste that you can only get with a brick oven. Though this place is good but for me it's a once in a great while place to visit. Would recommend but with my warnings would be included.

It was my first time here and was very I listened to my friends who recommended it! The food and service were exceptional. Everything came out real fast and the proportions were generous. I went on a Thursday Afternoon with a reservation and was glad my group booked one. When 4/5 pm rolled around, the place was packed! Highly recommend booking ahead of time! The Cacio e Pepe was the unanimous favorite at my table, followed by the pepperoni and jalapeño. Parm fries are also a must try! Overall, lovely experience and atmosphere to order a variety of dishes and share.

I thought I had left a review already, anyways this is for August. My first time ever at this place and I think about this pizza and the fries everyday. I'm not exaggerating ;( I wish it wasn't 2 hours away from where I am. My food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is great! Everything was perfect! My server was also extremely friendly. Annesso is one of my favorite restaurants in Fresno! We ordered the cacio e Pepe pizza, parmesan fries, and spicy vodka rigatoni. Everything was delicious and the service was amazing. Highly recommend getting the fries, I would eat them every day if I could! I love the outdoor patio seating. It is shaded so that you can stay cool, but in the colder season they have heaters out. The space can accommodate large parties, as we saw many 8+ or 12+ groups gathering here.

Me and my family decided to stop by Annesso Pizzeria for dinner and started with some appetizers. The Parm fries were fire and the Jenny's hot wings had a great kick to them. I ordered the Mista salad to start, but that one was a bit disappointing -- the lettuce didn't taste fresh. For our main dishes, I tried the Mafaldine pasta, which was decent, about a 7/10, while the Angus New York Strip was absolutely delicious -- tender, juicy, and packed with flavor (9/10). We also ordered three pizzas, and the Pepperoni & Jalapeño pizza was easily my favorite. To drink, I had a draft Blue Moon -- always a solid choice. My only suggestion would be for them to expand their dessert menu, as the options were pretty limited. Overall, excellent customer service from the staff and a great atmosphere to enjoy dinner with family. Definitely worth stopping by again for the pizza and steak!

The spicy Caesar might be the best thing at Annesso. The dressing, the parm, the crisp lettuce, 10/10! We sat at the bar because we didn't have a reservation and the service was friendly and prompt and there was plenty space for our party of 2. The wait for a table would have been about 45 minutes. The restaurant can get a little loud, but surprisingly at the bar it was toned down. Parking is a nightmare because of construction right now. Always a hit, will be back!

My 12 year old son wanted to try out this restaurant. It was our second time here. The pizza is incredible, the dough!! Everything we've ordered, both visits, were incredible. The ambience, waiting staff, and the cooks all bring together an enjoyable family friendly atmosphere and meal.

I frequent here and I recommend it to anyone visiting Fresno or if someone is looking for an elevated pizza restaurant with pasta, yummy bites and great bar. Family friendly and open to large groups as well. I've tried most of their pizzas and apps and love everything - except the cauliflower app wasn't the best. If you like rustic oven baked pizzas this is the spot for you! Service is always great and swift.

Okay, we love this place. This was my second time here. First time was for my sister's birthday last March, and now my bestie's birthday last night. Quite a huge gap between visits, idk why? *shrugs* I have to say, I remember enjoying the first visit, overall, a whole lot more but this time was still just as nice. I feel like my first initial reaction though- to the restaurant, the food, the service... I was happily surprised. Very cute place-- similar to Heirloom-ish (I believe it's the same owner maybe? Correct me if I'm wrong)... but this one is "fancier", you order when you're seated. Probably best to make a reservation ahead of time as well. We ordered (both times): the Jenny's Hot Wings, the Malfadine pasta, and Pizza! We got just the OG, just pepperoni the first time. Second visit, we got the Pepperoni and Jalapeño pizza. We also decided to order the Spicy Ceasar Salad this second round (not spicy btw) and glad we did. Everything came out extremely quick, and really good. The only one that was a little wait, which is to be expected, was the pizza... but still came out pretty quickly. Just in time, after we've already dug into all the other dishes. My favorite out of the order is the pasta (garlic-butter sauce, shrimp, chiles, lemon, breadcrumbs). Come on? What a combo! Every dish satisfied our bellies, though I feel like I liked the wings a lot more when I tried it the first time. Our waitress was friendly, checked on us a good amount of times. The bussers took empty plates as they saw them on our table. Our table was right by the kitchen so we saw those guys in action, preparing the pizza and all the meals. They work fast! Staff could be a lot happier though lol didn't see very many friendly, smiley faces.. maybe they're too busy to enjoy themselves? Other than that... A+ on our evening there. They even brought out a sweet treat for my friend for her birthday. She loved it! If you're wondering if you should check this place out? Yes, give it a try. Warning: on a busy night, parking is limited. People were on the prowl! We decided to leave our cars and walk to ice cream after that, oops! Good luck!

Annesso is definitely one of my favorites in town. I love that it is a place for both special occasions and a casual lunch. This place can do it all! My absolute favorite item on the menu are the parm fries - I crave them all the time! Their pizzas are also great and I always order one to split with the rest of the table. They have a great drinks selection and pasta options as well. It can get a bit busy at night, so I would recommend putting down a reservation over walking in. They have both indoor and outdoor seating options as well as a bar you can seat yourself at. Overall a 10/10 spot and there is something for everyone on the menu.

UPDATE!!! Pizza is still out of this world! Sat in the same place at the bar today! This time Phoenix was the over the top awesome bartender / server. This place is always packed with hard to find parking but crews are expanding the lot as I type. Soon parking will be five stars too. I grew up in NJ right outside NY and I took great pizza for granted. On every corner in fact. When I moved here back in 79' it was just like Ray Liotta said in good fellas. Pizza in Fresno was revolting. Lately things have gotten way better first with Russos opening in Clovis and the Annex out on W Shaw. Now Annesso is the NY pizza king of the San Joaquin and Phoenix is one of the highly competent pizza slingers employed there! I'm addicted. Some day I might even order regular food here. Crazy Bernie is a huge fan!

We started off with the Tricolore Salad, and it was absolutely fantastic. The arugula was fresh and crisp, the parmesan added a perfect savory bite, and the balsamic vinaigrette was just the right amount - not too heavy, but enough to tie everything together beautifully. We also tried the special of the day: Sausage and Sweet Peppers Pizza with a spicy red sauce base and fresh, aromatic basil on top. The sauce had a nice kick without overpowering the other ingredients, and the sausage was well-seasoned and flavorful. The sweet peppers balanced out the spice really well. Overall, a wonderful experience, great service as always with a warm atmosphere and even better food! Can't wait to come back and try more of their rotating specials.

Saw this spot while we were shopping in the complex and had to try out the pizza to go. We ordered two pizzas to go so I can't review the ambience at the restaurant. It was super packed inside for a Friday. The crust on the pizzas here are sort of like a focaccia crust but harder. It's not quite the way I like it and the pizzas were harder and pretty greasy for my liking. Pricing is reasonable but not sure I'll be ordering the pizza here again.

I made a reservation for 7:00 on a Saturday night and was seated within a few minutes. The place is a vast open space with dim lighting and chatter resonating. The parm fries with Fresno chili oil is a must have. The fries are thin and crispy which was a satisfying eat. The spicy caesar salad and mafaldine pasta were both underwhelming. I decided to add chicken to my salad for an additional $6. The thin slices of chicken is full of flavors but was very dry. The croutons that came with the salad were large, and personally just felt uncomfortable to eat. The mafaldine pasta wasn't bad. It just really wasn't in my palette I guess--I found it to be very lackluster. I didn't enjoy the garlic butter sauce. It lacked depth and felt as the only flavor came from the chiles. Things I did enjoy was the pasta being al dente on the chewier side and the bread crumbs that added a nice texture to this dish. I've tried their spicy vodka rigatoni and it also fell short imo.

Saw the great reviews and pics on Yelp and just had to try it. Made reservations yesterday and the closest dinner time I could get was 4:15 with the very next availability being 8! Also noted they had no happy hour menu. Tells me that this place is good and doesn't need to run a happy hour! Our server Christian was on it! After recommendations on drinks and apps they came out quick. We ordered the Bicycle for Two and the AP Old Fashioned. Both were excellent! Our app was Meatballs which were very tender and paired nicely with the creamy polenta. We ordered the funghi pizza (I am not a fan of mushrooms, but braved a mushroom pizza in VA at a place known for it and the craving never went away). Christian was not a mushroom guy either, but said lots of people like it. Ordered it anyways. Pizza was fantastic! Not the same as my VA experience, but equally great. Ordered Tiramisu to go. Have to say we really enjoyed our pre Valentine's Day dinner. From the location, interior design, and vibe to great service and excellent food, this was a five star experience!

Annesso is a great stop for a quality pizza in Fresno. Personally, I have to opt for their gluten free pizza crust and it's actually pretty tasty! A must try is the spicy Caesar salad. Don't be afraid of the spicy aspect, it's just a nice touch to a traditional Caesar! The restaurant itself is beautiful and has great seating inside and out. A major perk is their online ordering a pickup window if you're not looking to dine in. Staff have always been very personable and on top of any special requests. You truly can't go wrong!

The ingredients on each pizza make it so hard to make a decision. My hubby and I ended up deciding on the Italiano salad and the Verdi Pizza. Both were so yummy. ITALIANO ingredients: mixed greens, soppressata, pepperoncini, provolone, garbanzo beans, tomato, red onion, oregano vinaigrette VERDI ingredients: ricotta cream, mozz, spinach, artichoke, mushroom, olives, red onion, garlic 20 Hubby is a big fan of balsamic vinegar and he asked for their aged balsamic on the side. A little drizzle on the salad and the pizza was delicious!

Pro tip: make a reservation My husband and I made a reservation for Sunday at 530pm, and good thing we did-- there were several people waiting near the front entrance for a table. We entered, greeted and were seated right away! It was great! My husband and I ordered the Pepperoni and Jalapeno pizza and a glass of wine each. What a great date night. The pizza had a nice hint of sweetness because of the honey, and the japapeno adds just a touch of spice-- so good. Apparently only Sundays do they serve the Carbonara Pizza, we were debating on getting it, will have to try it the next visit! Since that sounds delicious. Great spot!!

Tonight was a much needed date night with my beautiful wife and we decided to spend the evening at our favorite, Annesso Pizzeria. What made me leave this review was not the excellent consistent quality and ambiance of the restaurant/food, but our attentive and exceptionally amazing server Kendrick (my apologies Kendrick if I botched the spelling!). Thank you Annesso's and especially an even bigger thank you to Kendrick!

Amazing service, food, and overall experience. Got pepperoni and jalapeño as well as the fungi pizza and both were great. Crispy thin slices with flavor, you can watch them make it fresh with the open kitchen. Service was great, will be back to try more!

This place has a whole vibe of their own, restaurant is very clean and their attention to detail makes it more impressive. We shared pizzas and the Alfredo, everything was cooked to perfection. I wish I took pictures but we were just enjoying the moment & enjoying how fresh all the dishes were. Staff were all friendly and great, we will definitely be back.

You really cannot go wrong with anything offered at this wonderful restaurant. The daily, fresh-made pasta dishes should not be ignored although the pizzas hot from the oven are usually the spotlight. The cacio e pepe pizza is my favorite. Seasonal salads and the polenta and meatball appetizers are great for sharing. Do not skip on the beverages. The specials are usually excellent while the cocktails on tap are definite pleasers. Servers are knowledgeable and have excellent hospitality. We have a few who are particular favorites.

We ordered the scampi pizza. This was very flavorful and delicious. All the pizzas were priced around $20 which is not too bad considering this is shareable! The service was wonderful! I absolutely enjoyed it! I also really loved the interior of the restaurant! It's set up so cutely and it's a very social atmosphere! The appetizers are quite expensive I can't lie. I liked them but not enough to order it again from here. There was nothing outstanding with the fries or the burrata cheese. The fries were a little too pricey to me, they did taste good but it just was not good enough for the price.

If I could give zero stars, I would. The experience my group and I had at this restaurant was defined by one thing: disrespect, primarily from the hostess staff, especially Addison and the other female hostesses. As the first point of contact for patrons, hostesses are responsible for setting the tone. What we encountered instead was a complete lack of professionalism, courtesy, and basic respect. Addison, in particular, displayed an attitude that was not only unwelcoming but flat-out rude. When we asked a very reasonable question about our place in line, after waiting the full duration of our quoted time, we were met with eye-rolls, dismissive body language and immediately turning around and gossiping about patrons in front of them. Worse yet, we watched multiple parties who arrived after us get seated before us. The response from these girls was disrespectful, condescending, and delivered as if we were out of line for even asking. It felt personal, and it felt deliberate. But the most unacceptable moment? Hearing Addison and another hostess openly talk about us, mockingly, right in front of us. Let that sink in. Paying customers, simply waiting to be seated, being ridiculed loud enough to hear. That's not just poor customer service, that's disgraceful behavior. It's truly unfortunate when a restaurant loses all sense of hospitality at the front door. I would never recommend this place to anyone, especially in the 559 area. If management cares about their reputation, they need to seriously reconsider who they're entrusting with their guests' first impression. Because no matter how good the food might be disrespect like that ruins the entire experience.

I have visited this restaurant twice. Once for lunch on a Tuesday and tonight, a Friday for dinner. For the weekday lunch, no reservations were needed. We were seated quickly and service was excellent and so was the food. We ordered the funghi misti pizza and it was amazing! Tonight for dinner, it was super busy. We had a 6:15 reservation, checked in about 6:05 and waited no more than a few minutes. For an extremely busy evening, service was prompt and so was our food. Again, we had the funghi misti pizza along with the pepperoni pizza this time. The pepperoni pizza sounds basic, but it definitely was not! It was probably the best pepperoni pizza I've ever had!! My 15 year old son agreed. We also tried the mozz sticks and those were fantastic! Everything here is just top notch! A must try in my opinion.

I've had so many people recommend Annesso to me so I finally gave it a try and I'm glad I did! We ordered the Margherita pizza, the pepperoni jalapeño pizza, and mozzarella sticks. Everything was super tasty and hit the spot. Service was good. We got seated quickly and our server was really attentive throughout the meal. The restaurant itself was clean and had a nice open layout, so even though it was busy, it didn't feel crowded at all. I'll definitely be back!

Delicious pizzas handcrafted transported to Italy right in Fresno. I've heard the desserts are bomb. I had a delicious cocktail that was unforgettable. I can't wait to choose more items off the menu next time we go back.

I usually eat back crust on every pizza But this crust taste burnt couldn't eat. I threw all the crust away. As far as taste on pizza sauce it was aight I dont think ill be going here again.

We sat at the bar and our experience was delightful. The bartender was really attentive, not only with us but the rest of the customers. The food was delicious! The prosciutto pizza was so good! It's a nice place to go have some pizza, a good drink, and a chat with a friend.

I can't boast about this place enough. The pizza was absolutely amazing. We got the Americano pizza from the looks of it. It looks pretty ordinary however, the crust is flaky oven baked goodness the toppings are supreme very fresh. We had the wings. They're really good. My family and I enjoyed them. You must get the Caesar salad Round of applause 10 out of 10. The server was really nice. She always checked on us made sure we had our drinks. I ordered a mixed drink very good very strong at that. The wait to sit down was pretty long but you can go ahead and make reservations. We waited about 45 minutesbut it was worth it. I can't wait to return to try
