Anse Marcel Beach Resort

This was my first trip to Saint Martin, and I’m so thrilled that it was to Anse Marcel — what an absolute GEM! The goal of my trip was to relax, rejuvenate, and eat amazing food, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. The food at the restaurant is SUPERB. The beach is gorgeous, and this area tucked between two mountains is a little paradise. What absolutely MADE my 10 days, over the Christmas holiday, were the group of gentlemen who work on the beach. I will come back because of THEM. Aya, Bastian, Alex, and Thomas are the most warm, genuine, fun group you could ask for! They became my dear friends within days! They work so incredibly hard to make everyone’s time on the beach the BEST — taking you to your beach chair, putting umbrellas up and down, serving food and drinks, hustling non-stop for the entire day, treating everyone so amazingly well that it truly makes your day here. These guys are a team, and they take care of you and each other — it was fun to watch them support each other, to ensure the day was perfect for everyone. I’ve traveled around the world and never met a group like this! Whether they were helping the happiest person on the beach, or the most miserable, entitled person treating them like a servant, these guys made everyone’s trip to paradise. THANK YOU Aya, Bastian, Alex, and Thomas! I can’t wait to see you again in a few months, you all made my decision to return!!!

Beautiful beach. Beach chairs and umbrella available for rent… rent in advance if you want a spot for the day! Food at the restaurant was OK for the price. I think there could be better food choices, the beach itself is worth the trip. Staff is nice!

Absolutely Amazing Beach experience!! Aya and Alex truly made our experience unforgettable! They were very attentive and went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect ! The cocktails were delicious and my favorite was the frozen mojitos !

First time was fantastic. Thomas took care of us on the beach and found us 2 seats with no reservations. The water was so calm and relaxing. The food was very good, especially the grilled calamari. We loved it so much, we came back the next day. At first they said no more seats but Thomas recognized me from the day before, said hello and remembered my name. He proceeded to find us 2 seats 1st row closest to the water. They are on top of their game. Must go while on vacation here.

We were at Anse Marcel for a beach day and it’s simply stunning. One of the best beaches in St Maarten. The beach chairs and beach service were wonderful. We had the calamari & hummus platter, and the kids all loved their meals. Special shout out to Alex, Aya, Bastien & Tomas. Highly recommend Anse Marcel!

Visited the beach and rented chairs and umbrella twice during my week vacation. Beautiful location nestled in a cove between 2 mountains swelling from the sea. Service was amazing - they treat you like royalty. The food was excellent. I highly recommend the octopus salad. My kids said the smash burgers were the best they ever had. Oh, and the beach and water for swimming is wonderful too!

Kyllian and Nais our servers was absolutely amazing.. we had the Wahoo and calamari because we got here at 230pm on a Monday and the Kitchen was closing at 3pm. this place is worth the drive to get here.. the food is amazing... The beach chairs cost effective.. I'm isolated enough to be a private.. because you need a car to get here..

Extremely rude service from beach server My family and I frequent different beaches on both French and Dutch side of the island. Ance Marcel beach is by the far the worst service we have ever had. The beach server (didn’t even tell us his name) from the moment he approached us was so rude and condescending. First of all there is no signage anywhere displaying rules or instructions for guests who arrive on the beach. We stood around waiting and no server or host was around. Mind you it was not a busy day at all. We found 2 lounge chairs that were not being used so we set our bags down and sat there waiting for an employee to come over. The whole back row of lounge chairs were all empty and several empty lounge chairs in the front row were empty as well. Then as we were getting settled in, the male beach server approached us very confrontational. Instead of greeting us, he rudely said “we can’t just sit ourselves down that’s now it works here there are rules”. We said oh ok well you have no signs posted here and we go to beaches on Dutch and French side. He says “I don’t ever work in Dutch side I don’t know what they do over there.” He proceeded to say he will pick a spot for us. So we had to grab our things and move. He then tried to sit us in the back row when there were plenty of open chairs in the front row. So I told him no I prefer to sit in the front. Then he noticed I was holding my bottled water and started saying we can’t drink our own water that we brought we will have to purchase. After he took payment for the chairs I had to ask him twice for a menu. He brought one over after waiting for over 20 minutes and NEVER once came back to take our order or check if we needed anything. He and another server went and checked on other groups around us but never came to us or anyone else on the side we were at. How ironic I’m not allowed to drink my water yet your server can be rude and ignore a paying customer? The whole experience was so unnecessary and made my family and I very unwelcomed and discriminated. TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES TO BE POLITE AND DO BETTER IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. There are plenty of other nice beaches and restaurants in the island who actually value and appreciate their customers. Also the bathrooms were DISGUSTING AND FILTHY! There was feces on the floor in one of the bathrooms stalls in the women’s bathroom. Nothing luxury about this place. Don’t waste your time or money here go somewhere else. Will make sure to not recommend this place to anyone I know or meet.
