We went for cocktails and tapas and let me tell you, it was an experience. The artistry in which they prepare and serve their food and cocktails is top notch! Everything was flavorful and delicious! We went back to lounge a few days later and had their afternoon high tea and that was a magnificent experience as well. The care and creativity they took with their presentation and preparation is something to see! We had a bartender name Kai both times we were there and he was spectacular. He is a fantastic mixologist and he was so knowledgeable about the drinks he was making! He made both occasions a 5 star memory!

One of my favourite spots for high tea, and I’ve visited many times. I love their themed sets, like the Claude Monet theme and the recent Alice in Wonderland high tea. Each High Tea set includes two drink choices (one non-alcoholic and one tea), along with a selection of savouries and sweet treats. The restaurant's interior is beautifully decorated to match the theme, and the service is always impeccable. However, I noticed the exterior of the tiered drawer tea stand was a bit stained, so I hope they will clean it properly in the future. Also, I hope they bring back more savoury options, like the dry laksa they used to serve. ✨️ Check out @Foodjescapade on IG for more photos & in-depth review!

I had the alice in wonderland inspired high tea and the food exceeded my expectations - every single savoury and sweet was good, and the sweets were not too sweet (except for the macaron). There was only a selection of five different teas and I didn’t think they tasted partiiicularly special, although they paired well with the afternoon tea. The food was also meticulously designed and the whole set was very pretty. The food wasn’t refillable but we were bursting towards the end, so it was a good portion. The restaurant interior was nice but there was a portable industrial air conditoner blowing just behind us and it was a little noisy, which affected the atmosphere.

Went for afternoon high tea on a saturday, Staff are smiley and very attentive. Singing a happy birthday song, refilling our glass of water whenever it was running out & fast responses after request. Could not catch their names but was 2 girls & 1 guy working on saturday 14/12/2024. High tea set seems like a christmas special. Really delicious & moist scones! loved all 3 cream along side. Definitely prefer the savoury dishes compared to the sweet ones. However the yuzu matcha from the sweet was amazing! The tea was a great palate cleanser, would not recommend the vanilla bourbon tea. However, their Sweet Innocence & Number 7 Tea was the perfect match to this high tea set. Tasted really great. Overall, Service & food were good. Would say worth it to come & spend on special occasions! They also are very responsive on email & call enquiries. They also ask for any dietary restrictions.

Had a wonderful high tea here. It’s a large spread for a high tea. The sweets are not sweet and good ratio of sweet & savory spreads. I took a picture of the pastry because I would like to recommend and highlight this party - it’s very different I can’t put my finger to it, it tastes weird but a good kind of weird! Very special taste that complements each other. Minus one star for the not so optimal service provided by one of the staff. The other staff (maybe manager?) makes up for it , he advised us which item to try first and which to end last to have optimal tasting experience.

Would like to share about our recent visit to the antidote for an afternoon tea for the Alice and wonderland theme, it was a very delightful experience and Bernard made sure he took care of my mom and I during our visit. He made sure the savory menu was catered to our needs due to dietary requirements. Would definitely recommend visiting and look out for Bernard when you do! :)

Yelp
My gf and I went for the first time to try their very expensive high tea set. $79 per set and they did not allow us to order only 1 set for the 2 of us ladies whom were both actually not that hungry. That aside, after making payment, I ordered my last FOC drink which was a mocktail and they took about 1/2 an hour to serve it. The joke was that they served me a cocktail instead and wanted to charge me an additional $25 for the mistake they made. The server even had the cheek to say she cannot reverse the order. Are customers supposed to pay for the server's incompetence in getting the order right? The drink was something I ordered for the 1st time so initially i did not know that what it looked like. The server insisted that I drink it saying she cannot take it back and wanted to charge me the extra $25! Eventually my angry gf rejected it and got the mocktail I wanted. As we could not finish the high tea set, we asked to do takeaway for the remaining items on the menu. When I reached home, I realized they only gave me a portion of it (As I clearly remembered we only ate 1 portion of the savory items) All the savory items we left behind were conveniently left out. I am utterly disappointed and grossed out by their actions and will definitely NEVER EVER patronize there again! Of course, you may think I'm one vengeful or vindictive customer. Oh well, do try at your own peril( and expense ).

Yelp
I went with friends for afternoon tea. The atmosphere is louder than I prefer and the reason is probably because it's connected to the lobby and there's also a bar in the space but they separate out an area for the afternoon tea. Food-wise, I LOVED the egg appetizer with caviar and crab meat. The sandwiches were not quite as good, they were interesting but not the best tasting. The sweets were pretty good. Quite a few places have sweets that look amazing but don't taste the same. But this place is pretty good although they really emphasize one taste. For example if it's supposed to be tart, it's pretty tart. But overall it's a great value. I made reservations pretty early on so timing was wide open.

Yelp
Ok. Again just a good spot to do wine and tapas. Cocktails were so-so. It is what it is.

Yelp
At the lobby of Fairmont Singapore, there is this restaurant called Anti:dote well known for its bar. But do you know it also served tea set? The restaurant offers 2 types of tea sets : The Anti:dote Tea and The Oriental Tea which costs $45++, and comes with a choice of tea from a selection of TWG tea. Both tea sets are similar except that The Anti:dote Tea has The Anti:dote black truffle scrambled eggs, while The Oriental Tea serves a selection of steamed and fried Hong Kong Dim Sum. There is also Children Tea set ($15) but need to pre-order in advance. For tea, Tibetan Secret An exclusive green and black blend As dramatic and uplifting as the Himalayan plains, this remarkable delicate TWG black tea is blended with sweet fruits and spicy overtones to soothe and revive the spirit. It tastes slightly gingery spicy. Holiday In Paris An exclusive white blend Rare Yin Zhen and sweet vanilla have been blended as an ode to a leisurely promenade along the cobblestone streets of Paris. Nard and wild flowers decorate this cup with their crisp, floral flavour and leave a heady, perfumed aftertaste. It tastes rather light with a slight flowery taste. For The Anti:dote Tea set, The Anti:dote black truffle scrambled eggs is served in black colored egg shell look alike cup, with soldiers by the side. The scrambled eggs smell of truffle and tastes creamy and rich. For The Oriental Tea set, There is pan fried carrot cake which looks slightly over fried as it is a bit too char. The inside is a bit too soft. There is also the fried shrimp fritter which is filled with juicy shrimps. Have it with the delicious chilli sauce. For steamed, there is Siew Mai topped with a piece of juicy scallop. The tea set is beautifully served in box with 3 layers of drawers with different items in each drawer. From the bottom drawer, there is Butter Cookies, Homemade Strawberry Jam, Devonshire Clotted Cream, and Lemon Curd. The butter cookie is melt in the mouth with a milk powder taste. In the middle drawer, there is the pipping Warm Raisin and Candied Ginger Scones. The ginger scone is not overpowered by the ginger, just a hint of it. It tastes very nice with just the rich clotted cream and slightly tangy lemon curd. In the top drawer, there is Smoked salmon, lemon and dill cream cheese, ikura roe, Boston lobster roll, confit lemon, chervil, Iberico ham quiche, mozzarella, black truffle, Confit duck rillette, foie gras terrine, pickled onions, and Coronation curried chicken, apple. Surprisingly my favourite item here turns out to be the plain looking quiche which quite a nice taste of the truffle. On top of the drawer, there is Strawberry gateau, Limoncino Napoleon, Cappuccino comtessa, Framboise lychee macaron, Red cherry rose ball, Karukera chocolate mirror tart, Chocolate pralines, and Chocolate-dipped strawberry. Unlike the usual macarons with over the top sweetness, the one here is not too sweet with a melt in the mouth texture. Overall the tea set is quite tasty and pretty looking. The armchair is quite comfy and roomy. Service is not bad with the staffs checking on us from time to time. Remember to check out the unisex restroom before leaving. It has a rather interesting 2-in-1 Dyson tap. Besides being a tap, it's also a dryer.

Yelp
I had heard about this place a few times, and I was fortunate that my Amex card allowed me a 20% discount menu-wide here, so I thought to pop by to try the place. They have a good list of cocktails here, and I can't remember what I had to drink, but they were strong and hit the spot (I mostly drink gin cocktails). We also ordered oysters, which were a steal (a dozen at $36 I think), though I do wish they had green tabasco. The oysters also came beautifully presented, which I really love. The convenient location in a hotel and the dark vibes at night make it a nice location for a date, as seen by a few canoodling couples on a Friday night. It does get busy at prime times, you may want to make a reservation.

Yuen L.

Yelp
Their lobster roll with caviar on the charcoal bun was pretty good. I like the ambience and the location. I would go back for their afternoon tea except it's not served everyday only on Fridays which is annoying ( hence the 4 stars!)

Melissa C.

Yelp
Consistently excellent food, our go to place on a Friday evening, and the Eatigo app makes it an absolute bargain! Remember to bring a jumper/cardigan as they whack the AC up in the Fairmont's restaurants. The chicken nuggets are excellent and the chocolate dessert is fabulous lovely staff as well which is always remembered here

Yelp
It seems I'm here at the wrong day. First it takes 10 minutes until the waiter recognizes that there is a guest. After a short while I change the seating location as I thought sitting a 6 person table as a single guest might be a little bit overkill. so I moved to a table at the window. This table was previously occupied by a couple but they left already quite a while. But this doesn't trigger the instinct of the staff to clean the table. The bill left at the table showed that they paid at 22:14 it's now 22:40 and the dirty glasses are still there. That what I wouldn't call service

Yelp
no speakeasy here, just pure intoxication under broad daylight! a big thanks to carolyn, as it was her free cocktail week wristbands that brought me here in the first place! having been to 28 hong kong street just the night before, the comparative experience was like night versus day. and anti:dote might well become my next deadly sin! love the decor, opulent yet inviting. with space for the single alcoholic, the lovey dovey pair and communal AA group! even though the dress code is supposed to be smart casual, i have not been turned away nor frowned upon judgmentally despite not meeting that criteria. their staff from the greets to the bartenders to the servers were all very polite, attentive, knowledgeable and professional. the bartenders in particular were very chatty. friendly banter constantly interjected between their busy shaking schedules. the cocktail week menu's milk punch was an interesting concoction. cognac based, milk whey, orange and coriander. i was initially apprehensive about the coriander but luckily it was just the most subtle hint of it. milk whey gave the cocktail a shot of milkiness without overly clouding the drink. whisky lovers like myself and yenny took to this drink like fish to water. i went back the next night and had the sherry cobbler. oloroso sherry, bourbon, homemade falernum and lime juice. this had a nice tropical feel and just sipping it, instantly teleported me to the beach. the free flow crisps and wasabi peanuts were so addictive and made me crave for more drinks! but here is where you need to pause for a cause and peruse their bar bites menu. the list reads like poetry. i need to eat, one of each! and you will definitely find one that satiates. if not, then just salivate watching others partake. the perfect antidote for hunger! p.s. if you really need free wifi, pm me for the secret code.

Yelp
Sit by the bar. The bartender is cute, funny and totally knowledgeable. I had the sour plum pisco which tasted exactly like the dried sour plums. Sweet, salty and sour. Totally refreshing on a hot summer evening. There are plenty of cocktails at hotel bar prices to choose from. But hey most cocktail places are about $25++ per drink anyway. What's fabulous however is the snacks of olives in brine and chips. Shamelessly asked for double servings. Definitely a YES!

Yelp
Anti:dote is one of my favorite bars in Singapore. To me it ranks higher than some others which are on the prestigious World Best Bars list but each to their own. This review is for the evening bar, I've never experienced their seemingly popular high tea. I like to sit at the bar, which is beautifully lit and watch the bartender craft their cocktails. I have tried several cocktails from their menu but after a few visits I have decided that their Old Fashioned with Diplomatico rum is one of my favourite drinks ever. The oysters are decently priced (for a bar in Singapore) and are of good quality. Actually, most food on the menu is a very good match with their drinks. Another fave of mine are the cod croquettes and surprisingly I love the olives which come complimentary. Summarized: Atmosphere: A+, Service: A+, Drinks: A+, Food: A+ Recommended!

Delia N.

Yelp
I went with a group of five people. The artisan cocktail selections are diverse - something for everyone - plus they offer all of the classics made properly. Ingredients are top notch and it comes through - real juices and infusions prepared by the master bar chef who recently moved from one of the top cocktail bars in Chicago. The tapas are amazing - my favorites were steamed buns with cured foie gras, braised veal cheeks and truffles (!). There are crispy salmon krupuk (made of salmon) and a delicious peanut butter tofu made with kuzu, tartare of langoustine, kafir lime, and Tom Yum broth. So many to try! Hopefully they will put their menu on line soon.

Yelp
The afternoon tea here is a special experience - highly recommended! We were a bit more demanding than your average party of three: one of us eschews red meat, and another is both gluten-free and allergic to shellfish...The staff answered our requirements with aplomb. If you are gluten-free, I'd recommend doing as we did and notifying the restaurant at least one day in advance. From the Asian-inspired starters to the salted chocolate scones, the nibbles were both abundant and delicious. All in all, it was a leisurely and relaxing experience. For an eatery adjacent to a busy hotel lobby (the Fairmont), Anti:dote maintains a surprisingly placid atmosphere well-suited to the unobtrusive service. In truth, we could have used a bit more of a waitstaff presence; servers made themselves so scarce that we were waiting for some time before being able to ask for the bill. Afternoon tea is one of our favorite occasional indulgences, and we found Anti:dote's to be the most unique--and the best value for money--we have tried in Singapore. Congratulations to the management and staff, and please keep up the good work! We may be back before too long!

Yelp
I've not done a review in ages but this bar is worth the time. I can see from other reviews that it is good for other stuff as well (breakfast, high tea etc) but this bar scores well for ambience, its drinks and attentive service. My girlfriend and I had the Lord Kane and Tea Time cocktails, which were relatively refreshing with a decent kick. Perhaps the only kink to mention would be the range of drinks available. If they had more choices, it would be perfect.

T. L.

Yelp
A poster child for unwitting bad customer service. They can't even get the morning coffee and pastry special right. The deal only applies if you take it to go. If you want enjoy it right there and then you get anxiety filled looks as if you're breaking some major rule. In some case you're reminded that you actually can't enjoy your coffee and pastry there. Just awful. Their obsession with following "the rule" makes for a terrible experience where you truly feel unwanted. Forget this place and go to Starbucks.

David S.

Yelp
Well, it happens, but it seems that this is one of those places that Yelp and I are going to disagree. It is not that the service was bad, it's just that I am not a huge fan of these flash hotel bars - which is what this is. Fortunately it was one of the bars that Yelp recommended to me that was actually open, and I must say that the name intrigued me, but when I walked around the corner and discovered that it was a part of this really fancy hotel my eyes literally rolled. Still, it was my intention to step in here for a drink. The seating wasn't the best. Okay, they did have some lounge areas, and you can sit at the bar, but there were these other odd things that you sort of leaned against - I really don't like leaning against things when having a beer, I like to sit down. However, they had a pretty decent selection, not the usual stuff that you find at most bars, so I do give it points for that.

Yelp
Hotel bars are getting a revamp these days (finally) and we headed to Anti:dote for their innovative tapas and reinterpreted classic cocktails crafted with premium spirits and house made bitters, liqueurs and sodas. Anti:dote's cocktail menu offers ten mixed drinks ($23), each classified by its potency and refreshing flavor. These drinks are made from artisanal pours of rum, vodka, rye whisky and gin balanced with fruits and spices, mostly of which from the hotel's own garden. Corpse Reviver #2 with level 4 potency and refreshingness. This would revive any corpse. A seemingly healthy drink with beet, rosemary, honey, lemon and tequila- Blood of Dillinger. There are about 24 items from the Tapas menu which is served till 10.30pm. We were fortunate to make the last order! The Crisp parmesan pizza ($12) is a must order at Anti:dote. This minute cracker is made of parmesan crust with dollops of flavorful pesto and powdered tomato as its based. Topping it off, you have the olive oil caviar, melty cheese snow and micro basil. Hearty pizza flavors in a small bite. Lovely! Crisp anchovy sticks with garlic aioli ($8) are the perfect snack to go with drinks and by that i mean cider but cocktails can do too! I love the salty and buttery puff sticks and also that strong and pungent garlic aioli. The Caramelised foie gras and vinegar glazed leeks on crisp puff pastry ($18) were little sweet morsels, kinda too sweet for my liking and there was quite a fair bit of leek/onion glaze. I could do with a slightly more seared/cooked foie gras but that's a personal preference. We could smell the Black Truffle Bao ($20) before we could see them. For a hotel bar, i must say the bao (Steamed Bun) skin was done very nicely and it had a nice fluffy bounce to it. It was nice seeing sliced Perigord black truffle but somehow the taste of the truffle didn't come through. Perhaps it was the strong flavors of the veal cheek and caramelized shallot with Madeira that overpowered it. The foie gras in the bao might as well have been a piece of tofu because it didn't give the bun any flavor at all. We would have gone for more items if we weren't so stuffed. Other must tries are the 2-hour braised short rib ($18), clam sphere ($14) and the Paleta iberico de bellota done tomato shabu shabu style ($18).

Joan G.

Yelp
I went to Anti:dote with a group of 7 friends for drinks and dinner. For starters the atmosphere was really appealing: modern, with music but not too loud and friendly people having what looked like delicious bites. We ordered almost everything on the menu as everything sounded good but my favourite dishes where: Truffle Bao with veal cheek, jam and foie gras; Crispy parmesan pizza with tomato and garlic powder, pesto and caviar; Shigoku oysters; and caramelized foie grass with cabernet sauvignon vinegar. Everything was simply delicious and really, really savoury . The flavours of each dish were really intense and original, like nothing I had tried before. To top that off, the cocktails are on the same level as the food: quite awesome. My favourite one was the whiskey sour. That said, don't expect large portions of food. It's about quality and intensity, not quantity, but totally worth it.

Ben N.

Yelp
Overall a greay place to be for high tea. Fortunately they had the truffle egg back so that was enjoyable. Presentation, food and service were all good can tell from my bettet half reaction especially to the jewelry box.

V P.

Yelp
Really disappointed. Food was below average and overpriced. Service was great though and Ambiance cool for a large hotel but I was there to eat and drink. Oh - mixed drinks were just ok too

Peter L.

Yelp
The reviews for Anti:dote are confusing, as it appears that people are reviewing everything from breakfast to tea to cocktails. So to be clear, my experience with the establishment has been solely as a guest of the bar, which has been superb on every visit. Starting with the space, I love the modern décor and clear bar table. The cocktail list is both creative and traditional, and even the traditional cocktails can have an interesting twist, like a spray of Chartreuse on the glass for the Tuxedo. There is a very nice selection of Whiskey, not the most extensive but well-thought out. After reading an article on the Whist cocktail in the New York Times, I requested one here, and the bar tender actually put together 3 versions using a different sweet vermouth, which was genius and also really showed what a difference one ingredient can make. There are also some interesting tonics, which are made in house, but I tend to stick to old school drinks. The food is also a nice surprise, being light and modern. The parmesan pizza had a crust which was the parmesan, so it's basically a delicate frico with pesto and other toppings (careful - they break easily). The octopus skewers were also very good, as was the aged iberico ham. I have never stayed at the Fairmont here, but one does not need to be a guest to appreciate the quality of the drinks, food and service here.

Michael S.

Yelp
Went during what happened to be Singapore cocktail week. They had a guest bartender from Speak Low the world famous bar, which was cool. He made some killer cocktails. The small plates they have on the menu were just ok though, and service was actually pretty bad.

Dean O.

Yelp
Disappointing. Visited from the US and was looking forward to a nice afternoon tea to end my Singapore trip. Staff was polite and courteous however service was non-existent. Staff seemed more connected to their mobiles rather than taking care of the guests. The tea was okay with no explanation from the staff when served. The white presentation box the savories came in was stained, torn, and looked old. Also, there were missing scones in the middle tray to which the server ran back to get from the kitchen. My guest and I also had to ask for all the condiments such as sugar and honey. Another problem was that there were no teaspoons with the silver ware. How could that be for afternoon tea? I expected more being that this restaurant serves The Fairmont brand of hotels. I hope they will train the staff for this tea service they claim to be unparalleled or take it out of their food offering because it truly is an embarrassment.

juraj l.

Yelp
Chill place to hang out and grab a cocktail - for a hotel bar. The breakfast here is a bit weak and would recommend the full breakfast at the hote restaurant

Allan K.

Yelp
This was my first high tea experience. Not the greatest service or friendly face at the entrance. Some of employees were genuinely nice, but the hostness or whoever seated us, not so much. Due to my Fairmont Gold status, I had $50 USD in credit that I was told I could use anywhere in the hotel restaurants and I was given a pretty hard time about being able to use it here. Three of us arrived at 3pm when high tea starts and were told they were already out of the Oriental Tea menu, meaning no dim sum appetizer. They wound up bringing one out, and two of the other sets. I'm not sure why the confusion, but I'm glad we got to try both. The dim sum was great as was the truffle scrambled egg, the finger foods pretty tasty, the tea was interesting and the desserts were not bad. I'm not sure I'd do it again considering it's somewhat spendy, but it's a fancy way to spend an afternoon in a upscale hotel in a nice part of town.

Dhanya J.

Yelp
A friend and I, together with our young children, were turned away despite the obvious availability of tables. We offered to wait for a table but it seemed that no amount of waiting would help as the tables were reserved for hotel guests who might saunter down for tea. Make of this what you may but we surmised that Anti:dote does not welcome young mothers with babies, perhaps, for fear of despoiling their pristine and childless interior. The haughty hostess did not help. For this lack of hospitality, I would give Anti:dote a 0 star rating.
