The Best Hot Cocktails in New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"While it’s just as much of a tradition at fellow French Quarter fine-dining institutions Arnaud’s and Galatoire’s, Antoine’s is actually the creator of the famed Café Brulot (it is the oldest restaurant in the city, after all). Dubbed the Café Brulot Diabolique, chicory coffee, Triple Sec, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and sugar are flamed tableside with brandy (for two). A must alongside the Baked Alaska." - Clair Lorell

Where to Savor New Orleans’s Best Shrimp and Grits | Eater New Orleans

"Famous for so many things, from the invention of oysters Rockefeller to its puffs of souffle potatoes, America’s oldest family-owned restaurant is a go-to for a grand Creole dinner. But Antoine’s weekend jazz brunch deserves serious attention too. Shrimp and grits is just one of a litany of entrees, a star thanks to the seafood goodness of its Gulf shrimp atop creamy gouda grits." - Beth D’Addono

The Best French Restaurants in New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"Of all the grand dames in town, Antoine’s is the only one founded in 1840 by a young French chef, Antoine Alciatore. First apprenticed in Nice at the age of 12, Alciatore studied with chef Jean-Louis Françoise-Collinet who is credited with both Béarnaise sauce and the twice-fried puffy Pommes soufflées, both still served at Antoine’s today. Now stewarded by the fifth generation, Antoine’s is the oldest family-run restaurant in America. Order the classics, along with oysters Rockefeller. They were invented here, inspired by a dire shortage of French snails in 1899." - Beth D’Addono

Don't miss this small, vegetarian-friendly spot. We eat here evertime we are in New Orleans. The prices are easy on the wallet, such as eggs for just a couple of bucks for breakfast. Their gelato is yummy, the place clean but small. And it offers a sparkling clean unisex restroom.

Just popped in for a sweet lunch. Double entendre intended. The blueberry muffin was really good. Almost as good as the affogato shake. Easiest way to cool on in the summer while getting a caffeine and sugar wake-up.

Friendly staff and delicious coffee. I get my coffee for work here and I'm never disappointed. Be sure to treat yourself to the Baked Alaska--invented here in New Orleans.

Great spot to be dip into for light bfast and coffee. It began to rain while we were exploring NOLA and we found shelter here. It is air conditioned too which is a plus in the hot and humid french quarter. They have outside seating as well. The bfast sandwich on a biscuit was good. So was the chocolate covered croissant!

Great coffee, lattes, etc., but the gelato is what shines here. Ask the waitstaff for suggestions of gelato/coffee mixes.

Don’t go for breakfast. In a Saturday morning this place just had 2 people to make the coffee, food, charge the bill, cleans the tables, etc. It was a messy/busy. We had croissants, scrambled eggs and coffee, and the food wasn’t great either. It isn’t a good options to go in the French Quarter.

Coffee is good. Large has four shots of espresso which is a plus. Don’t order food. It isn’t worth the $4. The pastries taste like they’re from a grocery store. My eclair has no flavor. I will not be coming back and my low start rating is to deter others from going. There’s much better coffee and pastry options in New Orleans.

This was my second visit here. It's a nice place to stop when you need to take a break from the Quarter. They have refreshing drinks, which is much needed in this heat, as well as coffees. I noticed they had snowballs as well, though I didn't get one. I had a watermelon lemonade, which was wonderful. They have various things to eat, like sandwiches and such. I haven't tried anything yet, but I want to. Others with me tried the food and they loved it. There's a cute little outdoor sitting area as well. The bottom line, when I was tired and sweaty from walking around the French Quarter, I was able to sit here and recharge for a moment. It is a ery charming place with old NOLA laid back ways. Of course it should be, since it is part of Antoine's, one of the very best old restaurants in the city.
