The service was very poor. We felt rushed throughout our visit and had to constantly ask for basic things like utensils, extra plates, cups, and water—items we had already requested at the start of our order. The waitress’s facial expression and tone of voice made us feel like our requests were a bother.
The food was very disappointing. The arroz con pollo had a rancid smell, and the bandeja paisa was not good at all—the chicharrón was very dry, the fried egg was overcooked, the carne asada was full of fat, and the plantains were burned on all three bandejas paisas we ordered. The pandebonos were hard, and the almojábana was also quite bad.
The only good items were the empanadas, jugo de mora en leche, and jugo de maracuyá en agua.
We came all the way from Los Angeles because four years ago the food was delicious, and we were hoping to have the same great experience. Unfortunately, this time we left very disappointed. To make matters worse, the bathroom was dirty and very unpleasant.
