"A tamale cart on the High Line selling Evelia’s Tamales with salsa verde, poblano pepper and cheese, and mole for $3 each (noting that this is double the price in Queens); this High Line location marks the tamale shop’s first expansion outside Queens and continues a story that began as a Corona sidewalk stand in 2001 and later appeared on Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown." - Emma Orlow

Muy ricos tamales. Delicious tamales, impeccable atmosphere, at a price that can’t be beat ($3). Had seen this place many times before; glad I decided to stop for a snack today.
