Without doing a taco tour in Bushwick and exploring either new or hidden spots. We have never been here and live in the neighborhood and decided to stop by for a quick lunch.
The exterior is very nice and polish. Once you walk in, it’s a pretty clean restaurant. Nothing wrong with the ambiance / atmosphere.
The food was pretty good. We only ordered two things, one being a fish taco in the other being a shrimp tostadas. The fish tacos were Baja style fish tacos, where it was battered and deep fried served with slaw. The tortilla was very tasty as well. The shrimp tostadas was pretty good, except that the shrimp had a slightly weird aftertaste. We did enjoy that they were complementary tostadas on the table.
In terms of the service, I think this needs work.
The only reason I’m mentioning this is because I would like the prices to justify the experience in food quality .
Upon entering one should be greeted. There should also be complementary water served if you’re going to dine in. And the waiter or waitress should always ask if there’s any dietary restrictions / allergies if you’re going to be dining in. It’s always up to the customer to let them know and inform them. But it’s just a nice touch to be asked.
The decor was pretty good. The food was very tasty, the service things, a little bit of work, and the prices just don’t justify the overall experience. If the prices are cheaper, or if the service was better, I wouldn’t mind coming again.
