I loved stumbling across this lovely tea and coffee shop in Vashon. This is the place to go if you are a true tea conisour. I opted for a house special of chai to go and she brought over honey and sugar for me to sweeten to my preference. Such services! I was also surprised to find soooo many gluten free snacks, meals, and goodies available. Usually in a place like this it would be impossible to get a snack that's GF. Not here. It's also perfectly placed next to a bookshop. Heaven!

Incredibly cozy and accommodating! Food and drinks were delightful. Gluten free tuna melt was 12/10! Curries were delicious too! Walked in and didn’t know what to expect but we are instant fans! Service was impeccable too!

We made our annual ferry ride to Vashon Isle after arriving from Hawaii a few days ago, hoping to eat at our usual spot but it was closed. We sauntered over to Anu Rana and we were welcomed with very warm hospitality & delicious foods consisting of eggplant curry, cardamom yogurt and a pumpkin cashew cream pie, YUM!! We now have found another favorite to visit yearly on this charming isle. Owner/manager was very helpful & friendly!!

They have frozen Nepalese curries and Momos that they can heat up and serve- seriously some of the best curry I’ve ever had! The boba tea and loose leaf options were all delicious!! A total gem on Vashon.

Cute atmosphere, tons of lovingly-made food options, and yummy (and affordable) bubble tea! I would have loved to try some of the food but I had already eaten. The owner was so helpful about navigating the island, he was very kind. Thank you!

We walked past this place many times over three days and even went inside looking for the fruit pies that were advertised at the front of the store. Finally, we saw some gluten free and dairy free pies in the fridge. So, we purchased a berry pie and a bag of Ginger Molasses Cookies. They were both thoughtfully made. The cream on top of the berry pie must have been cashew cream, the pie very yummy. The Ginger Cookies were addictive – made with almond flour, organic unsulphered molasses, honey, olive oil, ginger powder, lemon peel, baking soda, sea salt with a lump of crystallized ginger on top. Very delicious. I thought the price reflected the quality organic ingredients used. We found the interior of the store too busy, but still I wish this store is in my neighbourhood because I like their food.

Bought the GF pumpkin cashew cream pie, cardomom yogurt and chicken curry. They were all exceptionally tasty and we will definitely be back again to try their other desserts and dishes. The owner is super nice which is a plus!

Great experience. Ordered a blended bubble tea with boba and it was delicious. Great and friendly service, cute atmosphere. Recommend checking it out.

We were looking for a quick bite in Vashon and loved stumbling upon Anu Rana's. It's such a cozy shop. The walls are lined with teas and organic products. You can even get some international goods here. All of the food is premade so you are able to get it heated up quickly or take it home with you. The gentleman who ran the shop was so sweet and helpful. My fiancé and I shared the butter chicken and momos. I also ordered an ayurvedic lavender tea that I loved. We ate our yummy food filled with favor in the shop. I took home a dairy and gluten-free egg sandwich home for my grandmother and some soup. I highly recommend grabbing lunch here.

Was so thrilled to find this charming spot on the main road through Vashon, tucked in with the other shops and eateries. They offer nutritious, thoughtful, ethical options for coffee and treats, i.e. gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, vegan, etc. We tried the Vietnamese iced coffee (always amazing), the Italian soda (good), and a vegan brownie, which I gathered is made by the shop or someplace related (?). They also had baclava, which I think was locally made as well. The brownie was so tasty - I promise to all the doubters that there is no way you could tell it was missing several traditional non-vegan ingredients (it was also flourless). YUM! Service was with a smile. The spot is cozy, with a low sofa and pillows in one corner and then regular tables along the side. I believe they also sell bagged tea and the like. Would return.

Back in October we visited Vashon island and found Anu Rana's while we were exploring the main street. It's a small cafe with lots of options. We initailly stopped in for coffee and some boba, ended up loading up on home made Nepali food. The drinks were good, we loved the home made Nepali food. It's cooked fresh everyday and they had lots of options packed ready to go. We got Nepali momos with pork, Goat curry, Chana Masala w/ Kidney beans, and Chicken curry. This was lunch for a week for us. We loved everything we got, it was all delicious, like eating at someones home. We are planning another Vashon trip just to get food from here.

This eclectic cafe was a one-man show and he was very nice! The food was interesting and good, and the boba is very popular. - Cardamom yogurt: $4.99: the small portion was just enough! It was like a thick, textured, melt-in-your-mouth cloud with strong aromatic cardamom, perfectly sweet with a delicious tanginess. It reminded me of very good cheesecake. - Momos: $11.99: the green curry was so flavorful, heavy on the cumin, and complemented well by the calming mint cilantro sauce. The spicy sauce was extremely spicy! These momos were well made, with a slightly grainy texture and juicy meat. All in all, Anu Rana's is wonderfully different and healthy space.

I only tried a couple pastries here but they were absolutely fantastic. I really like the dense texture of flourless GF baked goods. The flavors of these desserts are unlike anything I've tried before: loaded with nuts and cream with complex textures and aromatics while not being too sweet. They are very expensive but are worth it in my opinion. The ingredients are either mostly or entirely organic and either the quality of the ingredients themselves or the extra care put into handling premium material translates to a very luxurious taste with no artificial aftertastes like what you would get from a cheap supermarket bakery. Desserts are meant to be eaten purely for enjoyment so you might as well get the best quality that you can and savor them accordingly.

With little open on Mondays at 4pm this place saved my day. I was craving coffee. I'm the type where I like my sugar and cream with coffee. So the iced Vietnamese coffee was PERFECT ! First time trying it man it didn't disappoint! The place was very chill and cozy and I could honestly spend an afternoon hiding out there reading and sipping on some goodness. Upset I didn't get the cardamom pudding but I WILL BE. Soon very very soon. The gal at the counter was amazing as well :)

Wonderful curry-but by far the best part of this restaurant is the ambiance created by the people who run it. The bubble tea is tasty too!

It's all amazing!!! The tea, the food, the people. I had the wild salmon curry, and the green bean and potato curry with three different extra sauces. I wouldn't typically have chosen these, but I would repeat this order 1 million times over now that I've had it. I have loved every loose leaf tea I've had and also the local Vashon Coffeehouse coffee spices they carry. Plus the granola!!! Can't say enough good things.

Ambience - 9/10 -- cute store! Quality - 9/10 -- my friend got a blended black milk tea and said it was very good but not perfect. Didn't try the foods but seemed like a great selection! Service - 8/10 Value - 8/10 -- $5.49 for a high quality blend -- nepalese cuisine looks excellent albeit above average for the portion size. Overall - 9/10

As we were exploring the small town on Vashon island, we happened to walk pass Anu Rana's Healthy Kitchen, and the options on the small sign outside all looked really enticing so we decided to swing into their cozy shop and give it a try! We arrived in around 3:30pm on a Saturday afternoon and there were only a few (maybe 4-5) people in the café. This particular tea shop/kitchen is family owned - and the food is delicious - you could definitely tell that the goods are handmade and it really adds to the overall taste and flavor of everything! I decided to give the cardamom yogurt and the chocolate date tart a go - they both looked like tasty options! Cardamom Yogurt: This an interesting and tasty treat! I personally haven't tried cardamom in yogurt before, and it was something that intrigued me. This yogurt is scrumptious! Texture-wise, it is very pleasing - light and airy with a creamy sweet cardamom flavor. Though the cup that the yogurt comes in may be small, it definitely leaves you wanting more of that delicious yogurt! Chocolate date tart: This tart is deceptively filling! You may initially think that you probably could eat this entire tart in one sitting (you definitely could if you wanted!) but every bite/spoonful that you eat of it is really thick. The chocolate is thick and had more of a paste like consistency - with a thin layer of dates at the bottom of the tart, and the pistachios are a great addition! They give a good crunch contrast to the thickness of the tart. A rich and decadent treat! The particular atmosphere of the kitchen/café is really cozy - I could definitely see myself (if I lived on Vashon!) spending a good amount of time here. There are two tables that you could sit around an enjoy your beverage + food, as well as some sofa chairs near the entrance that you can sit and just relax! Overall, Anu Rana's Healthy Kitchen is a great option to visit if you come to Vashon! Although the prices may be on the steeper side ($4 for yogurt and $15 for the tart) when it comes the quantity of the food that you get, they are delicious and of course - nutritious for you! You're definitely paying for the healthy and homemade aspect of the treats here at Anu Rana's.

Anu Rana's is a real island gem. This unassuming tea shop offers a variety of bulk tea for purchase, coffee /tea beverages and bubble teas. The real draw is the delicious grab and go case full of Nepalese momo (dumplings), curries and a variety of desserts, many gluten free and vegan. They will heat the food if you want to eat there. My latest visit was for a Nepalese Chiya, some snacks and some reading since it was a rainy day. In addition to their baked goods you can purchase savory imported Indian style snacks with nuts, raisins and dried rice/wheat noodles. I purchased some GF pecan shortbread for a friend and took in the scene in the tiny shop. This is a tiny place with just two tables, a community table (assuming, since it seemed to be used that way) and a little lounge like set up inhabited by four folks knitting. Service is with a friendly smile, and if you can snag a place to sit, it's nice to stay for a while.

Super cute and wholesome environment with great food. They have a large selection of tea and other drinks. Very friendly staff and amazing vegan prions, both savory and sweet. Definitely a gem of the island.

Stopped by for bubble teas with the family on a very hot day. This shop is small and cute, cozy, local flare. The man running the shop today was friendly and fast. They have a couple tables outside and couches and seating areas inside. They have a good variety of sugar free, gluten free, vegan snacks. I also noticed refrigerated food prepped full meals such as curries, puddings, full desserts. Such a HUGE range of homemade goods. The only thing I was put off by was the very high prices. For beverages, they have coffees, teas, Italian sodas, bubble smoothies, etc. We ordered a variety of blended smoothies from mango to strawberry, watermelon, popping boba and regular tapioca. All were great.

Amazing food and SO glad we stumbled across this place! We stopped by this place to grab food to eat on the beach. They had a convenient "Grab n Go" refrigerator for exactly what we were looking for. We had their vegetarian Momos (dumplings), spicy rice noodle with peanut sauce, and cauliflower wrap with caramalized onions. The sauces that we were given for the dumplings and wrap were also amazing! It was a red spicy sauce and a green cilantro chutney. Everything tasted SO delicious! We also received such friendly service from the man working the counter. I wish this place was in Seattle as I would definitely be a regular! Highly recommend if you're in Vashon!

Kavi is a lovely barista / cashier / extraordinaire! Our drinks were delicious. The spot is adorable. Very much appreciated the many gluten free options. We will certainly return next time we visit Vashon and the new installation of Thomas Lambo trolls.

The momo and curry grab and go options are so good! Definitely get the chutney with the momo, because every chutney is incredible. The service was great and friendly! This is such a cute spot!

Anu Rana's offers exceptional food, beverages, and gift items. Espresso, bubble tea, a wide selection of unique loose tea blends. Nápoles curry, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. Cookies and snack foods too. Delightful proprietors who add warmth and goodwill to the community. I give high praise for this uniquely sweet cafe on Vashon Island.

We had a hard time finding somewhere for lunch on this COVID October Monday on Vashon. We were a bit wary of just getting a refrigerated box that was reheated, but it ended up being just fine. Nice cozy interior as well for taking it slow.

Two most delicious things you should hope are in the case when you go: cardamom yogurt and homemade nutella! Also, I love that you can get momos (Nepalese dumplings) with Beyond meat. Really lovely hidden island gem.

Anu Rana's Healthy Kitchen was a real treat on our lates trip to Vashon Island. In fact we liked it so much while we were on the island we went back a second time before heading home! There are all kinds of different coffee and tea drinks here and if it's your first time here the options can be a little overwhelming but in a wonderful way. I got a very dreamy tasting London Fog drink here on our first go around along with a small cup of yogurt that they make. The yogurt was cardamom flavor and it was great! On the second time back I got a tofu wrap which was lovely as well! I got another little cup as well... this time rice pudding which proved to be divine! If you want healthy and fresh look no further than Anu Rana's when you are visiting Vashon Island!

You must try their chiya when you're in town! I had it iced, 12oz. It was soooo good! The spices are well-balanced, but the extra kick of cardamom really made this drink for me. Their food is alright from what little I tried. Smaller portions, but there's variety. You can also bring back the food containers to reuse! This is a little store nestled between other local hotspots. There isn't a whole lot of seating available, especially outside. Inside the store you can also get snacks and chocolates, and they have a bunch of themed cups and mugs for sale. It makes for a nice stop while you're exploring the island. I'd like to come back!

Any Rama's was our first stop on the island. We picked two items out of the refrigerator (chicken curry and momos) and they offered to heat them for us. The curry came out on a plate with real silverware and two glasses of very cold water. Everything was wonderful. The chimichurri type sauce for the dumplings was perfect. The friendly quick service is a plus.

Highlight find of our trip to vashon. The tea is amazing, there are great treats.. and such great service.

Any Rana's was so yummy and the perfect food for my stay on Vashon! I had a wonderful lunch of the chicken curry wrap, cardamom yogurt (sweet and so good), and a chai. I also picked up pork momos and paneer curry for dinner, along with coconut macaroons and Nepali cashews (so good!!). The atmosphere was warming and I loved all of the teas and other options available.

They have fresh loose leaf teas bursting with flavor. They have wonderful clean fresh made food in to-go containers that he can heat up to eat right there. The service in here is incredible. The owner is a soft spoken kind man who is patient and catered to our every need. You can tell all the food and drinks are made with care.

Hidden Gem .. This food is authentic and delicious.. The Momo (dumplings) were especially amazing. Owner is kind and considerate. What a sweet surprise.

Such a quaint spot. Tea was so warming and lovely. We had the vegetarian dumplings, tasty and perfect snack. The gentleman working there was very kind and made suggestions that were helpful. Go check it out!

Incredible. Outstanding. Do not overlook this as a top food option. They have a great variety of options from curry to dumplings that all taste sensational heated up on a large plate to eat in. Highly recommend. Their americano is my favorite on the island, and I've tried them all.

Full disclosure: I know the family that runs this establishment and am good friends with their oldest daughter. I also love tea- and HOO BOY do they have it! They have great bubble tea combinations, loose leaf tea and espresso. I suggest mango-green tea bubble tea and their Earl Grey. I was going to wait until I tried more food to review but the pumpkin pies are too good not to mention!

I've been getting Anu Rana's snacks for a couple of years. They're all delicious. They've taken over the location of the Tea Shop and they still have tea, but so much more. They have lots of their delicious snacks as well as various fresh sandwiches and salads. And... Bubble Tea. They've brightened up the old store and made it much more inviting with white walls, nice art, a comfy couch and several tables and wifi. I christened the place by working from there on my laptop for a few hours and it was very pleasant. The snakcs include gluten free cookies and flavored nuts. There are sandwiches and salads and some other cool stuff. They have a homemade ghee to take home that comes in salted/unslated organic or not organic and it's really good. This is a great addition to the Vason hangout and relax cafe scene!

Would come back to Vashon Island just for the vegan food here. Amazing service. Excellent tea. Spend your money here!

On our latest day trip exploring Seattle and the surrounding area, we went to Vashon Island and searched for an eatery that served vegan and vegetarian options. We felt very lucky to discover Anu Rana's Healthy Kitchen. Not only were the sandwiches (and cookies) delicious, the service was also friendly. I felt like the owner was an ambassador for the entire island, sharing some of his favorite places to soak in what the island had to offer. The shop has an incredible variety of lunch items and tempting baked goods as well as coffees and teas. I now consider this place a destination that shouldn't be missed and it will definitely be a reason for returning to Vashon again and again.

Love coming here to grab a coffee or matcha every time we come to Vashon! Super cute space with a lots of options for heathy food, drink and fun gifts.

Anu Rana's Healthy Kitchen is a great little cafe. I had the salmon curry (yum!), the cardamom yogurt (which is some of the best yogurt I've ever had!), and the Nepali Chiya (delicious!). The customer service was amazing!! I'm definitely going to stop here again before I leave the island!

Anu Rana catered a small luncheon (30 people) for the Vashon-Maury Island Garden club and it was absolutely delicious. So delicious, that I forgot to take a photo so I could post their wonderful presentation. We had several platters of small sandwiches (egg salad, turkey/cheese, and a veggie bean) plus a pesto/pasta salad and a lovely green salad. There were two different dressing choices (yogurt ranch, italian) and all utensils were provided. Avi made all the food and everyone raved at how fresh and good all the selections tasted. The price was more than reasonable and the business was a pleasure to deal with. Perfect customer service. If you have not been in, please do yourself a favor and drop by. You'll be in for a real treat.

This tea shop has outstanding Nepalese cuisine. The spices are great but do not over power the flavor of the food. The owner is very engaging and polite.

Well, I don't know how to rate this place. I would give it a 4 for Vashon, but I decided in the end that it's a 3 for the Seattle area and I might like it more If my expectations had been managed better. My latte is decent (scalding), and I LOVE the food options here. The problem is that it is all so small and expensive that I didn't end up buying any of the very very delicious looking vegan & gluten free products. Probably need a magnifying glass to see them. I'll have to go back and try them, but steel myself against the price first. If the food was spectacular I would definitely increase my rating to a 4.

This little tea shop is in the heart of Vashon Island, owned by long time islanders themselves. They have an extraordinary tea selection, and countless bubble tea flavors to choose from! Not only is their food locally made, it's undoubtedly delicious! Their chicken curry is to die for! The style is cute and charming, and has great seating options. Now I know what your thinking, what could be better about this place? The service of course! The man who owns and operates this little business is incredibly kind and talented, and brings your food right to your table! My friend ordered bubble tea, and he gave me all the left overs! So sweet!

Love this place! The people who own it and run it are fantastic, super nice, and the food is always good. They have options for every kind of diet and use quality ingredients. The atmosphere is comfy and cozy and is a great place to hang out and enjoy the company of friends. It's also a great place to get food that transports well so you can grab something to take back to work for lunch.

Very cute little cafe on the main drag. The options for folks with food allergies are excellent. They make homemade gluten free baked goods. I got the sesame almond cookies. They were lovely, crunchy and a great snack. I stopped in again yesterday and got a latte. They use Monin syrups (which I prefer) and know how to make dense, delicious microfoam. This is a great cafe to stop in for a pick me up .

Popped in today just for tea (moi) /coffee (hubs) to-go while passing through town to the ferry terminal. Amazing organic Tunisian lemon mint herbal tea- brewed perfectly, tons of flavor and depth. While they were brewing my tea, I browsed the store and could easily have purchased many many $$$ worth of stuff-- much of which I could eat even on my current cleanse (which eliminates basically anything and everything good, wah!). I restrained myself, though. Will definitely return and pick up some tasty treats to try!!!

This place has beautiful heart and soul. The vegan goodies are delicious as is her Chai. I love the spiced nuts and the prepped food ready to go. The falafel sandwich was perfect and all the salads look delicious.
