Anything At All

I saw some low rated reviews and decided to write a review. I’ve been going Anything at all for several years now. There are ups and downs in taste and service. I mostly had good experiences though. Food: I figured the taste is different in a good way and a bad way depending on the time I dine in. They try to use seasonal ingredients and it changes the vegetable and fruit components on the dish. I think this is good try and not a major change of the main flavor. I assume there are different kitchen staffs and differently cook meats..? Sometimes, proteins are burnt till taste bitter. Especially, on my last visit, I only tasted bitterness from my sandwich. I think the consistency of taste is really important. Like, I expect to have the same burger whenever I go to this place but it is disappointing when it doesn’t taste the same. Service: Most of staffs are friendly and willing to explain things according to customer’s needs. But, I had some staffs who didn’t explain delay on the food or rush out to eat or not getting what’s asked for. Overall, I had better experience brunch than dinner. Apparently, their burger is my and my husband’s favorite burger in New York City. We always bring people when someone visits us. 70% was successful. Everyone was impressed with the taste, atmosphere, and service. However, we sometimes regretted bringing people and having such an important occasion here due to the inconsistencies I mentioned. As if they can keep the consistency of food and services, I can say they have beautiful aesthetics and atmosphere. I love how their food is organic and high quality.

Slow service and at times bizarre! But the food was always delicious! Had breakfast, lunch and dinner here while staying at the Graduate for 5 nights. The burger is so so so good!!! The atmosphere is cool, the big windows and the books and the danish modern/mid century modern decor is stylish and comfortable. Didn’t know until the last night I stayed they have dessert!

Something out of a fairytale library. The food was served fast, hot and was delicious the Staff is super friendly and accommodating! This is definitely a place for a nice relaxing time. The seating is spaced very well and with the high ceilings and art you feel incased in tranquil fairytale library. Enjoyed a birthday and the servers did an amazing job with the cake and set up. Don’t forget to check out the rooftop bar!! Thank you all.

It’s such a cool vibe! You can grab a book and read it, browse it, or just keep browsing what’s on the shelves if you’re alone or with friends. The bartender was very sweet, and the burger WAS THE BEST!! My friend ordered potato fries and a non alcoholic drink and they were also so tasty. Def recommend if your in Roosevelt Island

Nice restaurant for drinks and nosh. But the service was abysmal. We were told they were serving "brunch" until 2:00. It was 1:30 when we arrived. We were given a breakfast and a lunch menu. No "brunch" menu. So we asked what we could order. None of the 3 waiters could answer. Then, we ordered a charcuterie board and a fish spread to share. It took over 30 minutes to serve. And the place is obscenely overpriced. And for the unforgivable: they added a 20% tip to the bill. Tipping has always been optional and based on service. And this place reinforced that for me. Don't bother.

Nice vibes, delicious burger, chef even came to check on us. Love that it was quiet and not busy. Can pair with the Panorama Room for a nice combination for out-of-town visitors.

I was hoping to come here for my upcoming birthday dinner, but based on our last experience there, now I'm reluctant. We found that many prior menu items have been discontinued, and the choices are much less appealing. No olives, no bread, no vegetarian options except sides -- and even those have become limited. When the restaurant first opened, we were very excited about it and it did not disappoint. The food was creative and delicious as it changed with the seasons. But lately it's just not the same. We went in for an appetizer and drinks on our anniversary and even there were disappointed, though things worked out okay in the end. On arrival, first we were told there was a limited menu that evening (no idea why), and that the specific appetizer we were looking forward to was not available. We sat anyway to look over the menu, though we had other plans for our main dinner that night. At some point the manager came over, and then said we could in fact order the appetizer. We were hoping for olives, too, but they are not available. The last time we actually ate a full dinner was also disappointing. Again, they have lost their creative touch, and the food seems to be prepared with less care. I'm really sorry to have to report this, because as I said before, we were so excited to have this wonderful (at the time) option here on R.I. I hope something can be done before it becomes a complete lost cause.

Amazing, Spectacular, Beautiful can't wait to go back again. Lovely time with my Georgia Bestie. The atmosphere was so clean and welcoming. The server was a delight we couldn't even tell she was new until she said it. The bartender was a delight(he kept the jokes coming, which everyone loves when they go out) the bathrooms were clean(surprised it was unisex but everyone had their own stalls, which was a plus) Please keep it up because I hate going to a nice Restaurant and the bathrooms are filthy. The food a delicious. The broccolini needed a little more interesting ingredients such a a salty and sweet element(just a suggestion for next time)

I'm adding 2 stars since my last visit for trying harder and getting some things right, and I'm renaming the restaurant Anything But Carbs. Also note there is an added 20% service charge which I consider a good thing, maybe it's helping with staff retention. First the good things: - Service has improved. It still has a way to go because it borders on indifferent, actually that's not true, the servers seem to care, but the maitre d' / bartender cannot smile to save his life. - The food has improved. While they seem incapable of cooking the salmon to the requested temperature (tried twice on 2 occasions) it was still a delicious dish. The bad things: - Where are the carbs!?!? I don't go to a restaurant to stay hungry. No rice or potatoes of any kind with the entrees (except the burger), oh wait, I can order fries as a side dish for $19 are you f**king kidding me? - Also dishes change from one night to the very next night and consistency is important. Ordered the bass crudo 2 nights in a row, second night it was so spicy it made my lips burn. Either the chef isn't tasting their own food or they have no palette. It still feels like a hotel restaurant that has forgotten that it even exists. Like there was a terrible accident where the staff were all killed and this is where they ended up. But despite the flaws in the kitchen, the food has improved, someone in the kitchen is really trying so I'm going to give them more time to figure it out. ADD SOME CARBS PLEASE and stop up-selling us on the $19 fries - add all the truffle oil you want but it's insulting to your guests to charge that much....except maybe hotel guests who are semi-captive. Which brings me to my final point. You're not yet a restaurant, you're still a hotel food cafeteria with pretensions (and aspirations) and without real leadership. Maybe the Hilton brand which just acquired you will try harder since you gave up on locals and off-islanders long ago. Oh and to Steph W. and her review, it isn't on Randalls Island, that's where a working insane asylum and some sports fields are farther north, it's ROOSEVELT ISLAND, but you did help make my point for me ;-)

Atmosphere (5/5): If you ever make your way to Randall's Island, the Graduate Hotel, dining, and rooftop bar is a cool spot! Past the check-in desk of the hotel (where this is this huge cartoon structure, you will reach the restaurant side. The first floor has a whole wall lined with real books! The noise level of the establishment is intimate and soft. The bar in the middle of the room is cool centerpiece of the room. Service (5/5): Since there were only around 4-5 tables dining around 8pm, the service was great as we were attended to quickly and often. Food (3/5): I ordered the burger medium with the fries cooked crispy. The waffle fries were indeed cooked to a perfect crunch, addictive and scrumptious!! Sadly, the burger juices made the bun quickly soggy not even half way through! The meat was seasoned well, the bacon could have been cooked for a crunch but may have been soggy from the burger juices. Sadly, the Fried Pork Chop that I had a bite of was a bit dry and bland on the inside but the breading and sauce was great.

Their listing on Resy said Thanksgiving started at 3pm. I made a reservation on Resy that said it was a ticket for Thanksgiving at 3pm. They confirmed the reservation. I got there at 3 and they said Thanksgiving doesn't start until 5. Terrible service.

I was pleasantly surprised how delicious the food was here. And I know this may be an odd thing to point out but their fries ARE PERFECTION. So crisp and yummy!! I ordered the hot chocolate at the table and my best friend had the matcha and she kept bragging about that matcha the entire trip. And that it s big deal to say about her. It was easy to grab a spot for an early lunch... we were staying there at the time so we came downstairs and were immediately seated but I am unsure if it's normally that open.

Visited this past weekend for date night and was able to enjoy a cool night outside. The waitress was very attentive and the food was decent. Definitely not as bad as others made it. I really liked the branzino, it was the perfect amount of crispy outside yet warm and savory. The sauce was also phenomenal. The clam bucatini was decent and a bit dry but still very tasty. The truffle fries was truffle fries. You can't really go wrong! I definitely will be back if I find myself back on Roosevelt Island. Having the Panorama Room upstairs also helps!

The food is not bad at all, contrary to what some other reviewers said. And the service is also not bad at all. The vaulted ceiling, the interior design, are spot on, and really the main attractions. And it's a good place to eat after a walk in Four Freedoms Park.

This is essentially an overpriced diner in a lovely hotel. The staff seemed poorly trained and uncoordinated. I enjoyed my tea and the presentation. Might go back only because of the limited options on the island. Has a lot of potential and I hope it improves sometime in the near future.

Stayed here for work, and due to it being super rainy outside, I decided to try to eat in the hotel which I rarely do. But I figured I'd give it a shot. First and foremost the decor in the restaurant is very cool!! You feel like you're eating in a library/study speakeasy! I'm all about the vibe!! Secondly, the food that I received was AMAZING!! Highly recommend the burger!! Perfectly cooked and seasoned. The caramelized onion, pepper bacon, cheese was amazing...but their "trinity" sauce...which is like a Big Mac sauce but times 20!! It was fire!! The salad was kinda whatevas though; nothing special to write home about. Here's where my minus one star came in. My oat milk latte tasted very burnt and almost too bitter. I usually don't send anything back unless it was inedible or undrinkable. Call me a coffee snob if you wish but it could've just been that cup, who knows. But my server, the young lady started with an "S" Sandy or Samantha, anyway, she definitely belongs in a customer service atmosphere. Always checked on me, gave me recommendations, and put up with all my questions :) if you are looking to try something different, she recommends the French Toast, The Grain Bowl, and the Tellicherry Turkey Sandwich. Next time I'm here, I'll def try something different!

Absolutely terrible service, inattentive staff, automatic 20% gratuity for a staff that is better suited to work at a fast food restaurant. Do not come here.

I came here for breakfast/brunch and was pretty impressed with the restaurant. My server was very friendly and attentive and the food was good too. I ordered the veggie Scramble which was mostly delicious but a little undercooked. They also have a great selection of teas, wines, cocktails and beers. My only complaint is that they don't really have brunch hours on weekends, breakfast ends at 10.

This is the new restaurant on Roosevelt Island, which seems like another world, but is actually part of Manhattan and is pretty easy to get to by the F train. It's in the new Graduate Hotel, in a beautiful high-ceiling space with lots of light. The food on the dinner menu is delicious, and they are, or will be open soon for breakfast and lunch as well. Definitely start with the Onion Poppyseed Bread ($12), get some pasta, and end with the exceptionally good Chocolate Layer Cake ($14).

Super cute space within Graduate, a hotel that looks more like a massive library. Came here with a friend on a Sunday at around 11:00 and got seated relatively quickly. It started getting super crowded at around noon, so you might want to check to see if they take reservations. Food was not bad but service was something else. I've seriously never had so many mess-ups with my order. First, the server messed up our drink orders. My friend ordered a chai latte and I ordered a cappuccino. When she brought out our drinks, she asked who had the latte, which we assumed was the chai latte. Apparently, by "latte" she meant cappuccino. Then, the food runner served me a turkey sandwich when I ordered a lox. He looked offended when we told him that wasn't my order. Later, he walked out with a lox, but it was made with some sort of artisan bread instead of the everything croissant that was listed in the menu. Food was great, and restaurant was comfortable, but staff needs a lot more training.

Booked brunch here for a Sunday at 1130. It was pretty empty. I love the vibe and I love being on Roosevelt island. We had great service and they seated up by the window. Their menu is very small and lacking and very over priced. I actually hated my sausage and egg sandwich, the sauce on it was just not my style. My suggestion would be to skip this place ..walk thru it and then go upstairs to Panarama room. Both expensive but way better views up top.

Overpriced and mediocre food. Ordered the clam bucatini and got a shrimp bucatini instead. The bucatini was under cooked. Nothing to rave about. The service is so so. I had my dog with me so I sat and ate in the lobby. Can't tell you the ambience other than it was quiet but hard to get service.

We had a great Saturday night dinner here! Sublime mango margaritas, delicious tumeric lemonade, the salmon and Branzino entrees were both excellent and the truffle fries the best I've ever had! We live in Manhattan and will definitely return to the island to eat here. The service was attentive and friendly.

I wish I could like the place, but me and my gf had pretty bad experience. Service was slow and the dishes were cold and tasteless. We finished our appetisers and sat with stacked dirty plates for at least 25-30 minutes until the waitstaff acknowledged it, meanwhile there was only 4 tables with total of 10 guests in the entire restaurant. House bread was tasty. Clam chowder was not bad however it was cold. Broccolini were extremely cold and soggy like it was made a long time ago and was just sitting at the window. Mussels were just okay, not a fan of curry sauce it came with. Bucatini pasta had no salt or spices thus no flavor, the basil leaves on top were half black like they went bad . The bean gratin tasted like plain canned beans , it was again cold I couldn't even eat it more than one bite The only dish was good is a chicken. It was actually very flavorful and the pesto sauce was great. $210 with 20% tip for 2 people with only one good dish and inattentive service, a bit of disappointment.

Ordered an iced latte and it came in a tall glass full to the brim with iced coffee, and milk in a little container on the side... I mentioned to the waiter that this didn't look like a latte and she said they add water to the espresso since it's so strong. Also ordered avocado toast - was the most lackluster avocado toast. Bread wasn't toasted and felt a bit stale, with just some avocado slices and toppings - needed seasoning. Friend ordered a burger, which was pretty good but the fries felt like they were from a bag in the freezer section, and the cheese on the burger hadn't melted at all. Overall, don't bother spending your money here, even on a coffee.

Do NOT go there for dinner . fancy food prices but not quality food to match . The online menu was not the actual menu in person . in person menu was very limited and uninspired . The fried pork chop was cold and old and didn't seem like good quality meat. really gross . will take home to feed pet. It said the side was mizuna but it was actually wilted arugula from a bag. The branzino had pickled hot peppers and mushrooms as a side that were inedible . The cheese plate had boring packaged Gouda as one of the two cheeses ( the other was decent Gorgonzola dolce.) the chicken breast was dry and served over the same bagged arugula with halved grape tomatoes. So generic . We paid $36 for 2 glasses of chianti that weren't even good . Maybe fine for breakfast .

We went for drinks on the hotel rooftop but it was a bit nosy and crowded. We decided to leave and stop for a bite on the ground floor Anything at All. We were amazed! Food was delicious, service friendly and impeccable. Small but good selection of dishes and wine list. They offer small dishes to share, we chose 3. The decor is incredible. Service friendly.

I would rate this a 4.5 stars. I stayed a few nights at the hotel and went here for dinner with the fam. There aren't any really good food options on Roosevelt Island and we didn't feel like driving into the city. The decor is beautiful. I love the whole library education theme. Even the lights went with the aesthetic. Service was fantastic. Manny one of the servers was so friendly and helpful. I had the burger, some family members had the seafood. Both were really good. For me the star of the show was the desserts. 5 stars alone for the cheesecake!!!! I would come back just for the cheesecake!! The items on the menu such as the pasta was OK. If I order pasta somewhere I want to be Wowed by it, otherwise I could just make it at home lol. For me, the price didn't really match the dish. Another night we had food to go and ordered the brick chicken. It was tender, and flavorful, quite similar to Peruvian chicken but more costly lol. Was the price worth it? It depends on what you order. I would stick to the seafood dish, the burger and the maybe the brick chicken. Def try it out and enjoy the space. But I would come back here for desserts for sure.

The food is just okay. I hate that we spent so much money for the type of food you would get at Applebees or Chilis. There were 5 of us in our party, and all of us were disappointed. Spend the 10 minutes to ride the tram to Manhattan to eat.

I can only speak to the drinks and the 1 app... Trout dip and my own concoction drink, skinny mezcal margarita with an extra shot of silver tequila being stellar.

Nice serving staff, beautiful ambience. Love the hotel all together. Get the iced oat milk latte- so good! Everything was good - we just had a light breakfast.

This restaurant is inside the new Graduate hotel. It is really swanky and I love the decor. Bookshelves with real books everywhere. I suggest making a reservation for dinner. The place got pretty packed into the evening. The food was delicious, I ordered the brick chicken and my plus one had the burger. The menu has a good selection of drinks but for some reason there were no beers on tap. The ambience is quite nice. It's a casual place but there were people that dressed up. We noticed many of them end up lining up to go to the Panorama Room after they had dinner / drinks at Anything At All. I'd come back here again, it's a bit of a ways to get to Roosevelt Island but if one lives in Queens, the ferry makes it super convenient to get to! Only cons were the service being a little slow, and the menu was a bit bare. There were no beers on tap there, you have to go up to Panorama Room for that.

Very disappointing restaurant. Tried it several times and the food is awful. It is also very expensive ($21 for a hamburger), with poor service.

This is a cafe/restaurant inside the Graduate Hotel. Nice and friendly staff, and you can order to go and sit at the lobby with tea! Love the lighting here, lots of natural light and love the books on the walls.

The food was perfect. The sweet potato chips appetizer was especially good. I got the greens on greens salad and my husband got the burger (which he raved about) we went around 7 on a rainy Tuesday night in October and it was so quiet and low key. It is also not super expensive! Would definitely recommend. Especially since you get to come over on the tram:)

The food was not good, questionable if cooked by someone who knows how to cook?? Had the new england chowder, which was too sour and salty. Told the waiter it was too salty, the waiter questioned my taste buds and said the other table said it was fine. With all the amazing restaurants NYC has to offer, the food is really not worth the price but you pay for the convenience if you are staying at the hotel.

A friend chose this chic and modern-decorated restaurant for her birthday brunch. I love the the design and decor of this place . The walls are lined with books and in between are plants. Perhaps an offering for all the trees that were chopped to hold stories and theories. The place is well-lit. The food was delightful. I ordered the Tunisian Tuna. It came with harissa, preserved lemon aioli, soft boiled egg, olive oil, lemon and herbs. The staff generously accommodated us in setting up a table that was for for the celebration we planned. Fun is found at Anything At All.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!! The waiters didn't even know what specials were on the menu for the day. The service was slow The coffee was disgusting Everybody was just clueless and I cannot believe it was like that for such a nice place

Phenomenal. Every dish we ordered was just PERFECT. Full of flavor, perfect seasoning and balance. We had the roasted carrots, heirloom tomato salad, crispy sea bass, and shell on shell. I cant wait to go back. I'm now dreaming about those carrots and I'm not even a fan of roasted carrots. The service was lovely. We adored our waiter who was attentive and fun. Setting is great too and would make a perfect date night spot.

Wow didnt expect the quality of food from this particular restaurant inside The Graduate. It's elevated American and pretty much everything I tried over the course of a few days was really solid - the burger was nails. Also, the ambiance is really unique and different. Side note - that David S. guy writing the same bad review from multiple accounts is pretty funny. Life's too short, Dave S....life's too short.

Service was super slow and we had five staff waiting on us. They got our drink order wrong and the correct order still took long to arrive. The chocolate mousse cake was good. The panna cotta was sour. Probably would not come back again.

This restaurant as a stand alone restaurant is not great but as a hotel restaurant and the only more upscale dining option on the island is not that bad. The food is okay, they are very plant forward but have few vegan options on their menu without adjustment, which is not ideal as a vegan diner but c'est la vie. Just sort of a surprise for a place that is so veggie forward. Service is okay, when it's good it's good and when it's bad it's almost comically bad. I had one of the weirdest cocktails of my life here, I think it was called a cornucopia and was made with corn. Overall, happy to have the option on the island but if it had any competition at all, I would not pick it.

This evening, my fiancé and I (both Roosevelt Island locals) dined at your establishment, Anything At All, for the first time. To say it left much to be desired is a gross understatement. Upon our arrival to the restaurant at 6:30pm the manager rushed to the host stand to aggressively state they could not seat us until 7pm right as a server was trying to graciously explain the delayed opening due to an event that ran over - thus diminishing the servers hospitable efforts and making us feel unwanted as guests in their restaurant. We decided to return at 7pm despite the off-putting interaction and I also made a 7:15pm reservation to ease any strain on availability. Upon our seating, the same aggressive manager took a very long time to stare at the seating system on their iPad and then proceeded to instruct a server to seat us (a party of two) at a table for four. The extra settings were left on the table. Our server barely offered a hello and was unable to provide answers on wine by the glass offerings. We ordered our meal after no introduction to the menu, the environment, the offerings, I couldn't even tell you if there were any special features. Between ordering and waiting for our food to arrive I witnessed the manager needlessly interrupting the servers, going behind the bar to unbutton and adjust their pants, throwing their hands up in the air in the middle of the dining room then stomping off in disgust, to then storm back into the dining room and loudly tell their severs "if your tables ordered chowder there is NO MORE!!" I also witnessed our server at the table next to us not comprehend a request to course their meals and the dishes arrive all at once, only to be taken back to the kitchen. When our food arrived, the Bucatini was significantly overcooked to the point of being unable to see the traditional hallow within the noodle and completely lacking of flavor. This dish is priced at $20. The Black Bass that my fiancé ordered featured undercooked eggplant and a somewhat palatable fish. This dish is priced at $32. I am happy to report that the small dish of Broccolini we ordered was delicious. Upon sharing feedback with our server that the Bucatini was lacking in flavor and the eggplant overcooked, nothing was done despite an overheard information sharing conversation with the aforementioned manager. No one came to our table. After taking two bites of the Bucatini I then asked our server to remove it from the check and bring our bill. The errors here are overwhelming. I personally have worked in very fine hospitality (on both the East and West coasts) for 12+ years and have only once before taken the time to write a message such as this. From one visit, it is clear to me that you IMMEDIATELY require new management and an INTENSIVE training course for both your FOH and BOH teams. Especially within the ambience you are trying to curate and the price point you are listing. I am hopeful you will take this feedback to heart.

I was staying at "The Graduate" and decided to give it a try. The food there was amazing. We ordered the Cornell chicken and the steak and it was great. The chicken lived up to it's name. The drinks were also great. I will definitely recommend.

One of the best kept secrets jn NYC is on Roosevelt Island in the Graduate Hotel. This restaurant has amazing food and service with big windows and views of the bridge. The Wagyu burger is out of control ! Amazing cocktails and bites. Upstairs is the Panorama Lounge, but that is another review.

I was visiting some friends on Roosevelt Island the weekend of August 14-15. They had been hyping up Anything At All like crazy all day, especially the Wagyu burger. So that Saturday night (August 14) we went there for dinner. The place makes a good initial impression with the atmosphere. When we arrived, it wasn't too busy, but soon after it started filling up. We look over the menu and waited several minutes for the waiter to come over and take our order. Of course, I had to order the Wagyu burger. 30 minutes goes by and we haven't seen the waiter since placing our order and we are all starting to get hungry. I look around and I notice no one else in the restaurant is being served food, so I figured nothing was wrong with our order and maybe the kitchen was just behind. Another 15 minutes goes by and the waiter finally comes over to say the food should be out shortly. We are all very hungry at this point as we've been looking forward to this meal all day. Finally after 15 more minutes (an hour since we've ordered), a different person brings out some plates of food. My friends got their dishes, but missing was the Wagyu burger. At first I just assumed they were going back to get the burger since the person's hands were full with the first set of plates. But after waiting another several minutes, our original waiter comes over to say that they ran out of burgers and wanted to know if I wanted to order something else. This was extremely disappointing news, especially given that it took them so long to even update me with this information. I can understand that sometimes you run out of certain dishes, but to let me know over an hour after I had placed the order felt pretty upsetting. Had the waiter been more attentive to our table or the kitchen been communicating better with the wait staff, this could have easily been avoided. I quickly looked over the menu to see what else looked good, but anything I picked was going to take 20-30 minutes to prepare. I decided to just cut my losses and eat someplace else. The waiter was very apologetic and said the manager would be over briefly to speak with us. We ended up waiting 30 more minutes to speak with the manager, who still hadn't stopped by our table. I guess he was busy talking to all of the other customers, apologizing for the poor service that day. At that point, we got tired of waiting and left the restaurant, telling the hostess that the manager can call to speak with us (he never called). My friends felt so embarrassed that I didn't get to try this restaurant they spent the entire day hyping up. We walked over to Granny Annie's, sat down and I got a delicious burger within 5 minutes of ordering. Now that's service! I hope this was just a fluke event at Anything At All. Funny enough, my friends started calling it "Can't Get Anything At All" after that day. On a brighter note, Granny Annie's is my new favorite place to go when visiting Roosevelt Island. Will definitely be going back there in the future.

We were a table of six and everything was great. More indicative of a highly rated restaurant in Manhattan, than a cozy place on Roosevelt Island. Someone in the kitchen can cook!

What a fantastic find! I've now come here for a wonderful dinner and a delicious brunch, and it's such a pleasure. Beautiful and spacious inside, excellent food, great views of the city, fantastic staff -- I don't want to recommend it because I want to keep this place to myself, but I can't be greedy. Worth the trip to Roosevelt Island to eat here!

Nice looking restaurant, good food, glad to have a classy place on Roosevelt Island: BUT the place is so poorly managed that we waited an hour to give our orders, further delays before we were served, then so much haste to give us the check that we weren't asked if we'd like dessert! A couple of details--we were told they had no club soda (!!) and the "green on green" salad turned out to be a big bowl of spinach with a scattering of Parmesan. This was our third attempt since August at trying to eat dinner at "Anything at all" but it will be a while before we try it again.

Really cool vibe here, loved the books all around the restaurant. Staff were very kind to us. Definitely try the burger, would come back again for it!

We had such a fantastic time here at this beautiful restaurant. My complaint is that the online menu on their website had so many interesting dishes that we wanted to try. However, when we got to the restaurant, the menu we received had very limited items. No crudo, no persimmon salad, no shells on shells, no chicken liver mousse etc. We were very disappointed and it just felt like it was false advertising. We would come regularly if they expanded their menu to what was listed on their website, and upgrade their rating as well. One more note- they need go back to the drawing board with their non-alcoholic cocktails. They did not taste good.

This was our first visit here and I'm quite disappointed with the service or lack there of...we stood at the entrance for 10 minutes waiting to be seated while the staff watched. I had to ask someone if we could be seated for lunch only to told "someone will be with you in a minute". At 2:20pm the hostess finally arrived at the hostess station to inform us that they closed at 2pm "because something happened". However online it says they close at 3pm.

Terrible service on August 14. Took the restaurant over an hour after ordering to tell me they ran out of the dish I ordered. Was told the manager would stop by to apologize and he never did. Very disappointing experience.
