"A.O.C.'s second location in Brentwood is where business professionals buy bottles of wine on their company cards and talk deals. It doesn't draw the coolest crowd by any means, but it's still a useful wine bar for drinks and '90s throwbacks like bacon-wrapped dates and halibut served with charred meyer lemons. Share a couple of French and Spanish small plates, which are for the most part more interesting than the bacon-wrapped dates. We're talking crispy Spanish-style arroz negro with grilled squid, scallop ceviche studded with pistachios, and a spicy fish tagine. " - sylvio martins, brant cox, nikko duren

"A.O.C.’s Brentwood location will host a special Rosh Hashanah dinner at the restaurant featuring recipes from cookbook author Amelia Saltsman on Sunday, September 17." - Eater Staff
"Yes, they do Taco Tuesday in Brentwood, too. You won’t find $1 deals at Tavern, but their food and drink specials are still pretty solid, especially given their location. The deal: $20 for 3 tacos, $16 agave flights, $10 margaritas, 3-7pm." - amy clark, kat hong
"Mom, Grandma, and Aunt Shirley are all coming into town and considering that Shirley starts hitting the Chardonnay by 2pm, brunch is your best-case scenario for getting out unscathed. All three will be happy at Tavern. The menu is highly inoffensive and a little bit fancy (soft scrambled eggs, a smoked fish plate, something called Priests Pancakes), the interiors are pretty (and will give you something to talk about), and it’s quiet enough that Grandma will be able to hear. Obviously, it’s in Brentwood." - jess basser sanders, brant cox
